The Democrats’ reaction to the removal from the earth of one of the most evil people in modern times, former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been hysterical, unhinged, and, quite frankly, juvenile. We’ve got the usual America-hating suspects like Reps. Rashida Tlaib (MI-10) and Ilhan Omar (MN-05) freaking out, and Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was busy peddling conspiracy theories (I’m almost surprised he didn’t bring up Russian influence).

But House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) really took the cake on Monday, basically predicting that the military operations against Iran will inevitably lead to failure. It almost sounds like he’s rooting for his country to meet with disaster. That is truly deranged, even for a Democrat.
This is what he said to CNN anchor Kate Bolduan — you be the judge:
The American people want us to focus on making their life better and making their life more affordable; not getting involved in another endless war in the Middle East that is going to end in failure.
This administration somehow found the resources, has found billions of dollars for bombs but can't find any money to actually bring down the high cost of living here in the United States of America.
Now, you know exactly how the Left will characterize this if there’s blowback, which there very much should be. They’ll say, that’s not what he meant; he meant Americans don’t want to see another long war like Iraq or Afghanistan — he would certainly never say he wanted them to fail in this instance, oh gosh no.
But that’s what he said. You can see the tape here (the comment comes at the 1:31 mark).
He doubled down in this clip. At the 45-second mark, he says, "The American people, again, are not interested in their taxpayer dollars being spent for another failed regime change war."
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) says the US is not supposed to be the policemen of the world.
Now do Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, shall I go on?
Jeffries is a hypocrite to the core. Everything he says is a lie.

They can spin it like a tornado, but his words seem eminently clear to me: This operation is already a failure. Nice, Hakeem.

Jeffries opened the interview by claiming he was offered no justification for the attack. That immediately aged badly because House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) revealed Monday that intelligence showed there had been a massive Iranian assault imminent.
RedState’s Ward Clark had the story:
House Speaker Mike Johnson said the U.S. strike on Iran was a defensive operation designed to prevent “staggering losses” to American troops and assets, arguing that waiting for Iran to strike first would have resulted in devastating casualties.

Jeffries wasn’t done, of course; he had more crying and whining to get out of his system. He wants to stop the operation mid-flight, apparently:
And that's why the power was given explicitly to the House and to the Senate. And Donald Trump chose intentionally not to come before Congress, which is why we're going to force this vote on a War Powers Resolution and make sure that we do everything we can to constrain him at this point in time.
Can you think of a stupider time to end this mission? Right in the middle of it? While the surviving members of the regime and forces from the IRGC are feverishly plotting their comeback?

The internet was not kind; here are some of the responses:
Predicting (hoping for?) American failure is an absolutely brutal look for a Democrat leader.
This guy doesn't have a single functioning brain cell in his head.
Maybe someday this annoying tool will become an American instead of a Democrat.
Jeffries is a traitor, he WANTS the US to fail. He hates our president so much and he hates our country.
There were plenty more that are NSFW, but you get the idea.
Hakeem has said a lot of divisive, thoughtless things in his time, but this may be his ugliest moment yet.
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
