Carys Zeta Douglas, the only daughter of big screen royalty Michael Douglas, 80, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 55, was spotted at W Magazine and Bloomingdale’s New York Fashion Week celebration at Eleven Madison Park Restaurant on September 11, 2025, marking the recent college grad’s first major public appearance without her doting parents by her side. The 22-year-old was largely kept out of the spotlight by her parents while growing up, spending part of her childhood abroad in Bermuda, and later in upstate New York, rather than in Hollywood

Carys, who strongly resembles her Academy Award-winning mother, attended the event seemingly solo; also present at the party were celebs from Gabrielle Union to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Outside of appearances on her parents’ social media, the young member of the Douglas family has kept a relatively low profile, though she has shared some of her original songwriting on her Instagram account.

Who is Carys Zeta Douglas?

Zeta Douglas, who was born in 2003, is the second of two children shared by Douglas and Zeta-Jones; her old brother, Dylan, was born in 2000. She also has a half brother, Cameron, from Michael Douglas’ first marriage to Diandra Luker.

Though Carys has not formall announced any plans to follow her parents into the family business, she did recently graduate from Brown University with a degree in film and international relations, a fact celebrated on both of her parents’ social media.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones met in 1998, when they were introduced by mutual friend Danny DeVito. The pair married in 2000, and despite a 25-year age difference, have one of the longest-lasting marriages in Hollywood. In a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Zeta-Jones revealed that she and Douglas are enjoying being empty nesters, but also also happy that their adult children still like to hang out with them. “But if I was a kid, I’d want to hang out with Michael Douglas, too,” she joked.

Zeta-Jones can most recently be seen as Morticia Addams on Wednesday, which just released its second season on Netflix. Douglas most recently starred as Benjamin Franklin in the miniseries Franklin, streaming on Apple+.
