It’s summer time, but that’s not the kind of heat one White House spokesperson was referring to when he bragged about the impressive string of victories posted by the Trump administration over the past week. On the heels of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, encouraging Supreme Court rulings, a successful NATO summit, among other victories on the domestic and international stage, President Donald Trump celebrated on Friday. “We’ve had a big week, we’ve had a lot of victories this week,” he said. Another White House source offered an even more enthusiastic response to the latest political wins, as the Daily Wire reported: “Winning is easy when the most consequential president in history is back at the helm,” White House Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers told The Daily Wire. “President Trump has restored America’s dominance on the world stage and kept the promises he made to over 77 million Americans across the country. America is hot again, and we aren’t tired of winning yet!” As he spoke to reporters on Friday, Trump pointed to the next big White House goal: getting the “Big, Beautiful Bill” signed. Trump has called for lawmakers to get the bill on his desk by July 4. At an event for the bill at the White House on Thursday, flanked by the parents of children killed by illegal aliens, Border Czar Tom Homan argued that holding up the bill is putting American lives at risk. “Every day we arrest a public safety threat, it makes this country much safer,” he said. “Who the hell would be against that? I get pissed off because I’m sick of meeting Angel Moms and Dads. You want to talk about family separation? It’s not the end all,” Trump said about the deadline during a press conference at the White House. “But we’d like to get it done in that time, if possible.” Republicans are scrambling to save the megabill, which has stalled after a ruling by the Senate parliamentarian against including a GOP proposal to slash hundreds of billions of dollars in federal Medicaid spending. The provision is central to the bill to help pay for Trump’s tax agenda. Trump is expected to stay in Washington over the weekend; he typically travels to one of his properties for the weekends. The president earlier this week threatened to yank the July 4 recesses next week if the legislation is not on his desk by the Independence Day deadline. Disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo staged a political comeback with his recent bid to secure the Democratic nomination for the New York City mayoral race. But in an embarrassing display, he came up short against an extremist candidate who had been polling in the low single-digit range just a few months ago. Once again, former CNN host Chris Cuomo, came to his big brother’s defense with a scathing rebuke of the Democratic Party’s perceived demise. The younger Cuomo, currently a host on NewsNation, shared his thoughts during a recent broadcast, as Just the News reported: “That [Democratic] party is dead,” said Cuomo, a NewsNation anchor. “What will it be reborn as? We will see. The drug cartels are getting more sophisticated as the days go by. The Mexican Navy captured a narco-sub carrying 3.5 tons of cocaine on Friday. The move by the Mexican Navy comes as President Trump has pressured Mexico to combat drug smuggling into the United States or face a plethora of tariffs. CBS News had more details to share on the narco-sub: The Mexican navy seized 3.5 tons of cocaine hidden in a semisubmersible vessel off the Pacific coast, authorities said Friday, while releasing video of the “narco sub” being intercepted. The vessel, manned by three people and carrying 180 packages of cocaine, was detected during a maritime patrol in waters off the southern state of Guerrero, the navy said in a statement.Authorities released images of the seized drugs next to a Mexican naval ship as well as video of the craft being intercepted at sea. It is the latest in a series of major drug hauls showcased by the Latin American nation, which is under pressure from President Donald Trump to curb narcotics smuggling. Mexican authorities have seized more than 44.8 tons of cocaine at sea since President Claudia Sheinbaum took office in October, the navy said. Officials released video of the narco sub being intercepted off the country’s Pacific coast, as well as video showing officers and a sniffer dog locating stashes of cocaine that were buried underground. The navy also released an image of more than 100 packages of the alleged narcotics laid out on the shore next to a military boat. Officials said the street value of the seized cocaine was estimated to be about $300 million. You would think Iran’s leader, Ali Khamenei, would’ve learned his lesson not to challenge President Trump. On Friday morning, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, released a video of himself claiming Iran won the war against Israel and “slapped” the United States while doing so. Khamenei’s message did not sit well with Trump, who blasted Iran’s leader in a Truth Social post. Trump, in his post, called Khamenei a liar and stated the U.S. and Israel could’ve taken his life. The Associated Press had more details to share about Trump’s remarks: President Donald Trumpon Friday scoffed at Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s heated warning to the U.S. not to launch future strikes on Iran, as well as the Iranian supreme leader’s assertion that Tehran “won the war” with Israel. Trump, in remarks to reporters and later in an extended statement on social media, said the ayatollah’s comments defied reality after 12 days of Israeli strikes and the U.S. bombardment of three key nuclear sites inflicted severe damage on the country’s nuclear program. The president suggested Khamenei’s comments were unbecoming of Iran’s most powerful political and religious figure. “Look, you’re a man of great faith. A man who’s highly respected in his country. You have to tell the truth,” Trump said of Khamenei. “You got beat to hell.” The U.S. president spoke out a day after Khamenei insisted Tehran had delivered a “slap to America’s face” by striking a U.S. air base in Qatar and warned against further attacks by the U.S. or Israel on Iran. Khamenei’s pre-recorded statement, which aired on Iranian state television, was the first time that Iranians had heard directly from the supreme leader in days. (@VividProwess) June 26, 2025 Axios had more details on Trump’s previous thoughts on potentially lifting sanctions on Iran: President Trump said Friday he halted plans to potentially ease sanctions on Iran after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei downplayed the success of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear program. Trump also claimed he saved Khamenei from a “VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH” by opposing Israeli plans to assassinate the Iranian leader. Trump and his advisers had hoped Iran would agree to a meeting with the U.S. next week, where the White House planned to offer incentives — including limited sanctions relief — to jumpstart negotiations. But a defiant video message Thursday by Khamenei — who declared victory over Israel and claimed Iran had dealt the U.S. a “slap in the face” — derailed that effort. Trump has repeatedly urged Iran to return to the negotiating table, and said earlier this week that he would allow China to buy Iranian oil in order to help the country rebuild after the 12-day war.
