DOMESTIC. In the media, the "climate crisis" is alleged to lead to apocalyptic natural disasters that claim millions and millions of human lives. But in reality, the trend is the exact opposite - with notice.

In 2022, the average person was 99.4 percent less likely to die in a climate-related disaster than a hundred years earlier.

These are things like floods, droughts, storms, forest fires and extreme temperatures.

The trend line has gone straight down since the beginning of the 20th century, and any effects of any "climate threat" cannot be seen in the statistics at all.

"Why is this not reported? Instead, the media only deliver doomsday prophecies about the climate," writes the Danish researcher Björn Lomborg on Twitter.

The media should report on how it really is instead of highlighting individual examples of horror with the aim of "scaring children as well as adults", the researcher continues.

Björn Lomborg, who lives in Malmö, has previously published internationally recognized books that criticize the description of the alleged climate threat. In a research study this year, he explained in more detail how the claims about climate disasters have no basis in reality.
