INRIKES. Five people are charged with gang-raping a woman in Kungsparken in late October this year, writes Sydsvenskan.

It is about five young men who are all in their teens, the youngest 15 years.

If all are convicted, it will be the most extensive gang rape that young people of that age have carried out in Sweden, and surpassed among adults only by the high-profile record rape in Mariannelund in 2012, where seven immigrants were convicted.

All five are charged with aggravated rape. Sydsvenskan does not say whether the people involved know each other from before.

According to the indictment, they raped the woman together in the park and, among other things, slapped her and held her down at a playground behind the casino in Kungsparken on the evening of 22 October.

The whole thing was interrupted by a police patrol who was in the park on other business.
