Ukraine begins to execute prisoners of war: "To be slaughtered like pigs"

FOREIGN. Ahead of the peace talks tomorrow, Ukraine announces that it will now begin executing Russian prisoners of war. The Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the decision on Wednesday night on Facebook.

According to the Kyiv Independent , the measure is a response to Russian artillery attacks on Ukrainian cities. It is probably also a way of trying to increase the pressure on Russia ahead of tomorrow's peace talks, where Ukraine is making far-reaching demands.

In an official message on Facebook, which received over 20,000 likes and only 33 negative reactions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces announces that the executions will take place and at the same time sends a provocatively worded message to Russian soldiers:

"From now on, there will be no more captured Russian artillery soldiers," the authority wrote, continuing:

"So every military man, whether you are a driver, a commander or a loader, will be slaughtered like pigs. Pee on you, for we will come after you. Call your mother and announce that you will die. We are not dead, we are worse! ".

"Asking for mercy or saying 'please do not kill, I will give up' will not work anymore", the Armed Forces further states in the post.

In the peace talks tomorrow, Ukraine is expected to reclaim Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk from Russia. This has been previously announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky . He also makes demands on the EU, among other things to have Ukraine's national debt written off and to be allowed to join the union immediately, despite the fact that Ukraine does not meet the requirements for membership.

This is the first time that Ukraine has formally announced the execution of prisoners of war. In the past, several unconfirmed video images (warning of very unpleasant images) of alleged executions carried out by the Ukrainian Azov Battalion have been consistently dismissed as disinformation and Russian propaganda, but the images now come in a new light.

The news of the executions on Thursday caused concern within the Swedish military environment on Twitter. The issue is sensitive within the Armed Forces, which has been commissioned by Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson to deliver 5,000 armored shots to Ukraine, while the authority maintains a high profile in what it calls value issues and values.
