Lainey Wilson Teams Up With Whataburger As Their New Brand Ambassador, Gives Away Free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits
A pairing that just makes sense.
If you asked me to list my 10 favorite things, Lainey Wilson and Whataburger would both be on it—actually, if you asked anyone from Texas, you'd probably get a similar answer. So this just sounds like a match made in heaven.
The Queen of Bell Bottom Country music is the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year (and the 2023 Entertainer of the Year), and she's been a trailblazer for women in country music the past few years. So the partnership between Lainey and the fast food restaurant that is known for their Texas hospitality is a perfect combination.
Announced last week, Lainey was named Whataburger brand ambassador as a continuation of the 75 year anniversary celebration for the iconic Texas fast food chain. And while the partnership is actually a whole year long, they kicked things off today by giving out some free food.
Even better than just seeing Lainey's face on these ads, though, is the fact that they are giving us exactly what I didn’t know I needed: Free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits.

Today, from 6 to 11 AM, Whataburger is handing out free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits to celebrate this new partnership. According to Lainey, she wanted to treat fans with a favorite tradition of hers:
"I've been rolling through Whataburger drive-thrus since I was just a small-town girl in Louisiana with big dreams. From grabbing Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits with my daddy between horse sales and rodeos to late-night stops on the road playing honky-tonks — Whataburger's been part of my story every step of the way."
If you’ve never had a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit (First of all, how?), then you are in for a treat. It’s not just a breakfast item: this famous menu item is a cultural experience, which is deemed the “Hub Chub” by many loyal fans. Picture a few chicken strips in a flaky biscuit, with honey butter goodness drenched all over. Nothing beats it. Some people even order the chicken strip sandwich with honey butter whenever breakfast hours are over, just to try to recreate the famous breakfast item.
