Woman spots taped-up boxes in alley and finds 11 sweet creatures trapped inside

On a chilly evening in January‚ Wendy‚ returning from work‚ stumbled upon a peculiar sight in a London alleyway. Lined against a brick wall in Stratford were four oddly shaped packages‚ each sealed excessively with tape and set aside like discarded trash. Wendy’s curiosity was piqued‚ but she initially continued on her way. However‚ a... 11-Year-Old Girl Assigned Transgender Girl (aka Male) Bedmate for Cross-Country School Trip

11-Year-Old Girl Assigned Transgender Girl (aka Male) Bedmate for Cross-Country School Trip

On Monday‚ The Daily Signal released an exclusive piece covering a situation in Colorado where an 11-year-old girl was told that she was being assigned a biologically male student to share a bed with during the school’s cross-country road trip. To make matters worse‚ the child’s parents had no idea about the assignment prior to the incident. Joe and Serena Wailes’ daughter‚ whom they refer to as “D.W.” in the letter for privacy purposes‚ was part of the fifth grade school trip from Colorado to Philadelphia and Washington‚ D.C. this past June. Though the school district told parents that boys and girls would be sleeping on different floors‚ the school technically broke that agreement when allowing a transgender girl‚ aka a boy‚ to not only sleep on the same floor as biological girls‚ but the same room in the same bed as a real girl! D.W. was assigned a room with three other students‚ two were girls from her school and the third was the transgender girl‚ who was called “K.E.M” in the letter‚ from a different school. Now at 11-years-old‚ it was highly likely that nobody could really tell that K.E.M was a biological boy. At that age he may not have developed a lower voice‚ an obvious Adam's apple or facial hair and normal girls might not have apparent breasts yet. If K.E.M wore girls clothes and had long hair like Mrs. Wailes told The Daily Signal‚ it's likely that he might be able to pass as a girl pretty easily. When D.W. figured out that K.E.M was her bedmate and was a boy‚ she “snuck into the bathroom and called her mother‚” The Daily Signal added.  “I was really upset‚” Mrs.Wailes said. “One‚ I was really upset that she was put in that situation at 11 years old—I don’t feel that is fair to put kids in that kind of situation—and two‚ that we were not even given the information that this was a possibility before the trip. The whole time they’re saying‚ ‘Girls on one floor‚ boys on another‚ they’re not going to be in each other’s rooms unless it is pre-approved.’ So we’re going through this whole process‚ not even recognizing that this is a possibility.” Mrs. Wailes‚ luckily‚ was a chaperone on the trip so was able to take action to protect her daughter. After getting trip leaders involved and confirming K.E.M’s transgender identity‚ the male student was eventually moved to a new room…still with a female student. The letter insisted that K.E.M’s “privacy and feelings” were the “primary concern” of school employees who were on the trip.  Mr. and Mrs. Wailes‚ who are being represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom‚ are insisting that the Jefferson County School Board and area superintendent clarify whether or not the district will “continue this practice of intentionally withholding information about rooming accommodations from parents like the Waileses‚ who object to their children rooming with a student of the opposite sex‚ regardless of the other student’s gender identity‚” the letter which was exclusively provided to The Daily Signal indicated.  They’re disgusted by what happened to their daughter and don’t want it to happen to their other two girls‚ or any other student for that matter.  Not only should that child not have been assigned to share a bed with a biological male‚ but the school should have been transparent about the assignments in the first place. Imagine if D.W. didn’t find out that K.E.M was a boy until she was possibly being molested or harassed by him in her own bed. While that didn’t happen‚ it very well could have‚ and allowing schools to prioritize an agenda over the safety of their students goes to show how radically progressive and twisted the public school system and world at large is.

MSNBC Repeats 'No Evidence' Lie‚ Claims Trump Will Seize 3rd Term

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports on Monday featured a panel discussion rife with all the most obnoxious kinds of DNC flackery. Mitchell repeated the tired media lie that House Republicans have no evidence against President Joe Biden‚ then teed up faux Republican Charlie Sykes to amplify faux Republican Liz Cheney’s claim that if Donald Trump was elected‚ he would seize the White House for a third term. Mitchell led off the segment with the obligatory claim that House Republicans lacked any “concrete evidence” of malfeasance by President Biden: House Republicans could vote this week on an impeachment inquiry against president Biden. Even with only a three vote margin‚ speaker Johnson says he has the votes to kick off an impeachment inquiry. This despite a lack of concrete evidence backing Republican claims that the President benefitted financially from his family’s business dealings overseas. She passed the spotlight over to former Obama White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs‚ who claimed the GOP needed the impeachment inquiry to dig up evidence which would justify the inquiry’s own existence: Here you have a Congress that’s obsessed not just with an impeachment inquiry‚ but the needs to create an impeachment inquiry to find evidence to justify an impeachment inquiry. So I think that the White House is in a good place fighting the process of this and using that process as the message‚ in a serious world with many problems‚ that this is a group that is simply not focused on the needs of the American people.     Mitchell then brought up the Sunday interview of Liz Cheney by Today show host Savannah Guthrie. She played a clip of Cheney insisting that Trump‚ if elected‚ “absolutely” would try to stay in office “beyond a second term.” Ostensible Republican Charlie Sykes vociferously agreed with Cheney’s assessment: “she is absolutely right about all of this.” He added cryptically‚ “a Trump 2.0 presidency would have very‚ very few constraints‚ either constitutionally or politically.” Sykes didn’t expand on that point — probably because he couldn’t. Of course‚ Donald Trump is not imbued with some unique immunity to constitutional checks and balances‚ as we saw numerous times throughout his presidency. Instead‚ he continued praising Cheney for her alarmism: What Liz Cheney is doing now is raising the stakes for fellow Republicans: understanding exactly what it is you are doing. One after another‚ they’re falling in line behind Donald Trump. And Liz Cheney is out there saying‚ do you understand what that means? What you are buying in for? But she’s completely right. Anyone who thinks that a Republican House or a Republican Senate would serve as any sort of a brake or a guardrail on the excesses of a Trump Presidency‚ I think‚ is beyond naive at this point. It’s oddly comforting to know that even during news cycle where the war in Israel is getting the lion’s share of the coverage‚ Andrea Mitchell can still find the time to air a segment-long campaign ad for the Democratic Party. For a full transcript of the segment‚ click "expand" below: MSNBC’S Andrea Mitchell Reports 12/04/2023 12:20 - 12:25 p.m. Eastern ANDREA MITCHELL: House Republicans could vote this week on an impeachment inquiry against president Biden. Even with only a three vote margin‚ speaker Johnson says he has the votes to kick off an impeachment inquiry. This despite a lack of concrete evidence backing Republican claims that the President benefited financially from his family’s business dealings overseas.  [begin v/t] HOUSE SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON: It’s become a necessary step. Elise and I both served on the impeachment defense team of Donald Trump twice when the Democrats used it for brazen‚ partisan political purposes. We decried that use of it. This is different. Remember‚ we are the rule of law team. We have to do it very methodically.  [end v/t] MITCHELL: A spokesman for the White House Counsel’s Office calling the impeachment inquiry a baseless‚ politically motivated attempt to smear President Biden with lies. Adding quote‚ “This chaotic house GOP is focused on the wrong priorities.” Joining us now is NBC News senior Capitol Hill correspondent Garrett Haake‚ former Obama White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs‚ and The Bulwark editor at large Charlie Sykes. So Garrett‚ does the Speaker have the votes?    GARRETT HAAKE: Well it sounds like we’re going to find out pretty soon‚ Andrea. So far‚ the only sort of vocal no vote has been Colorado’s Ken buck who’s made it pretty clear he doesn’t think Republicans have found the goods here. But impeachment‚ or the idea of impeachment of Joe Biden has been one of the few things that’s tended to unite this conference which has been so unruly over the last year.  And I think the Speaker thinks he needs to both have this vote to add some muscle to an inquiry that has totally failed to get off the ground outside of conservative media thus far‚ and to give his Members something to go home and talk to their voters about. I mean‚ they really sputtered through the end of this year to pass anything else as part of their legislative agenda. They’ve struggled on spending‚ they’re going to continue to do that into next year. They seem to think this is the kind of vote‚ even for the moderates for whom it might be politically risky‚ they can at least take back to their constituents and say we did something. Now‚ whether they can schedule that something remains to be seen.  We just learned a few minutes ago [from] my colleague Ryan Nobles that James Biden‚ who the Committee has subpoenaed‚ the Oversight Committee has subpoenaed as part of this effort‚ and had hoped to interview this week or next‚ now that interview has fallen through and it looks like they will continue to negotiate. So the impeachment inquiry‚ you know‚ has tried to get off the ground‚ continues to flap its wings but stutter along.  MITCHELL: Thank you‚ Garrett. Thanks for starting us off. So Robert Gibbs‚ Hunter Biden has offered to testify publicly to the House Oversight Committee but Chairman Comer rejected that‚ saying it would be special treatment. They want a private deposition first. How does this White House fight‚ how does the White House fight back against this? It’s going to stretch into 2024 clearly.    ROBERT GIBBS: I think the White House has to fight this exactly the way the statement you read at the top of this piece talked through . This is a Congress‚ particularly a Republican-controlled House‚ that is focused on the wrong set of priorities. The government is in danger of shutting down. We don’t have a budget. We don’t have money for Ukraine. We haven’t passed money for‚ to help protect Israel. All of those things‚ and yet here you have a Congress that’s obsessed not just with an impeachment inquiry‚ but that needs to create an impeachment inquiry to find evidence to justify an impeachment inquiry. So I think that the White House is in a good place fighting the process of this and using that process as the message‚ in a serious world with many problems‚ that this is a group that is simply not focused on the needs of the American people.  MITCHELL: And Charlie Sykes‚ I also want to get your reaction to some of what Liz Cheney had to say today on the "Today" show with Savannah Guthrie. Her new book is coming out tomorrow. Let me play some of that.  [begin v/t]   SAVANNAH GUTHRIE: Do you believe if Donald Trump were elected next year that he would try to stay in office beyond a second term? That he would never leave office?  LIZ CHENEY: No question.  GUTHRIE: You think he would try to stay in power forever? CHENEY: Absolutely. He’s already done it once. He was stopped‚ thankfully and for the good of the nation and the republic‚ but he said he will do it again. He’s expressed no remorse for what he did. You cannot count on a House of Representatives led by somebody like Mike Johnson to stop this president. You can’t count on a Senate of Josh hawleys and Mike Lees to stop Donald Trump.  [end v/t] MITCHELL: So‚ Charlie Sykes?    SYKES: Yeah‚ unfortunately she is absolutely right about all of this. And this is something that I think we need to focus on‚ that a Trump 2.0 presidency would have very‚ very few constraints‚ either constitutionally or politically. And Donald Trump has made it clear that‚ number one‚ he will never acknowledge actual defeat‚ there’s no scenario which he’s going to graciously concede losing the 2024 election‚ he’s already said that he would support spending or terminating elements of the Constitution that would keep him out of office.  So you know‚ what Liz Cheney is doing now is raising the stakes for fellow Republicans: understanding exactly what it is you are doing. One after another‚ they’re falling in line behind Donald Trump. And Liz Cheney is out there saying‚ do you understand what that means‚ what you are buying in for? But she’s completely right. Anyone who thinks that a Republican House or a Republican Senate would serve as any sort of a brake or a guardrail on the excesses of a Trump Presidency‚ I think‚ is beyond naive at this point.

Parents of Young Chiefs Fan Threaten Deadspin With Defamation Suit

By now‚ you’re likely aware that last month the hatemongers at Deadspin‚ particularly senior writer Carron J. Phillips‚ took aim at a nine-year-old Native American boy with accusations of racism‚ blackface‚ and cultural appropriation. But over the weekend‚ NewsNation reported that the boy’s family retained council and had formally demanded a retraction and apology from Deadspin and Phillips‚ or else they would be the subjects of a defamation lawsuit. Late last month‚ Phillips lashed out at the little boy by calling him a “racist.” “It takes a lot to disrespect two groups of people at once. But on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas‚ a Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate black people and the Native Americans at the same time. It was as if Jon Gruden’s emails had come to life‚” he viciously attacked the child. In Phillips’ tirade‚ he hinted that he knew he was targeting “a kid/teenager” and scolded his parents for allowing him to wear Native American dress: Why did the camera person give this fan the attention? Why did the producer allow that camera angle to be aired at all? Is that fan a kid/teenager or a young adult? Despite their age‚ who taught that person that what they were wearing was appropriate? Even after it was widely pointed out that the boy wore both black and red paint on his face‚ Phillips doubled down on his accusations of racism and turned up his hate. “For the idiots in my mentions who are treating this as some harmless act because the other side of his face was painted red‚ I could make the argument that it makes it even worse‚” he wrote. The boy’s mother‚ Shannon Armenta took to Facebook to address Phillips’ smear and noted that her son was‚ indeed‚ Native American. “This has nothing to do with the NFL. Also‚ CBS showed him multiple times and this is the photo people chose to blast to create division. He is Native American - just stop already‚” she said‚ showing how Deadspin only showed the black side of his face at first. And as The Post Millennial reported‚ the boy’s grandfather‚ Raul Armenta serves on the board of their tribe‚ the Chumash Band. The only update to the article that Deadspin allowed was a comment from the tribe that said they disapproved of the wearing of the headdress. It was these actions by Deadspin and Phillips that led the family to retain the services of law firm Clare Locke; the same firm that got the $787 million defamation settlement from Fox News on behalf of Dominion Voting Systems. Their letter demanded that the offenders at Deadspin retract their articles and put out an apology with the same energy they tried to allegedly defame a nine-year-old with: These Articles‚ posts on X‚ and photos about Holden and his parents must be retracted immediately. It is not enough to quietly remove a tweet from X or disable the article from Deadspin’s website. You must publish your retractions and issue an apology to my clients with the same prominence and fanfare with which you defamed them.

Who really benefits from inflation?

Who really benefits from inflation?

Does the Federal Reserve deserve credit for slaying the inflation dragon? Or is it more likely that any headway we’ve seen lately is a function of healing supply chains? The answer to that question appears to be a solid “maybe.” When the Fed raises rates‚ it’s supposed to reduce demand by draining liquidity from the system in the form of higher interest payments. But what if the rapidity of the rate rise‚ coupled with the previous interest rate environment‚ results in locking up supply and reducing transactions? For this thesis to make any sense‚ we need to consider a couple of factors. First‚ let’s look at the extraordinary duration roll that occurred since 2019. An easy way to understand this is to look at an average homeowner with a mortgage. Let’s assume that in 2019‚ you had a three-year adjustable-rate mortgage with a 2.50% interest rate. After the extraordinary Fed actions of 2020‚ a 30-year fixed rate had the same interest rate as a shorter-term adjustable rate. This created an incentive to “roll” your mortgage into the 30-year and effectively insulate yourself from any rise in rates. These extraordinarily low rates also encouraged those without a mortgage to borrow at the new rate. Here are some statistics to underscore the massive effect this had. In 2019‚ 1% of U.S. mortgage holders had an interest rate under 3%. That number has currently ballooned to 19%. In 2019‚ 37% of U.S. mortgage holders had a rate under 4%. That number is now almost 60%. Of course‚ this phenomenon exists not just in mortgages but for most borrowers‚ including businesses big and small. Pumping $1 trillion into the economy every year isn’t disinflationary. At all. The point here is that far more borrowers took advantage of historically low yields across the curve before the hiking cycle got under way‚ and they are now largely insulated from the effects of higher rates. The rapidity of the Fed’s hiking cycle created a broad death grip on any loan that was issued between 2017 and 2022. During this period‚ 10-year Treasury yields averaged a historically low 1.96%. The massive mistake that the Fed made in dragging its feet on increasing interest rates amounts to a game of debt musical chairs‚ wherein the timing of your transaction largely dictated your success. Well‚ your cost of capital‚ anyway. The quickly soaring rate picture was “tick tock‚ the game is locked‚ and nobody else can play” for anyone who wished to buy a home or start a business after the interest rate rocket ship blasted off in March 2022. Now for the other side of the equation. In 2020‚ the U.S. Treasury paid around $500 billion a year in interest payments. Now‚ due to soaring rates and increased borrowing “need‚” that number is closer to $1 trillion. Not that you need me to do the math‚ but that’s $500 billion more and $1 trillion total pumped into the economy every year. That isn’t disinflationary. At all. For additional context‚ the Treasury’s average interest on its outstanding debt was 2.4%. That number has now increased to around 3%‚ despite current rates being much higher. Tell ’em the good part‚ Mortimer! The average time to maturity on our massive $34 trillion national debt is around six years‚ with 22% ($7.5 trillion) maturing in the next year. So‚ just for fun‚ let’s do a quick thumbnail on how interest payments will explode in the next several years. If next year’s maturities are rolled into current rates — let’s say 5% — that would raise the Treasury’s average interest rate to 3.4% and would raise the net amount the Treasury injects into the global economy to $1.156 trillion per year. Of course‚ this example is wildly unscientific and laughably assumes zero new debt. If half the current debt were rolled in the next four years‚ the rate the Treasury would pay out would increase to an average of 4%‚ and interest payments would jump 20% to $1.2 trillion. But wait! There’s more! Reality is much worse than the above model implies. Independent of increasing debt service‚ the federal government has been exploding the national debt. Total public debt since June rose from $31.5 trillion to the current level of $34 trillion. That’s in five months. The whole thing is crazy. At a time when the federal government was supposed to be imposing some austerity to cut spending‚ it did the exact opposite. Congress approved massive spending packages like the Inflation Reduction Act while the Biden administration rolled out its multibillion-dollar loan payment forgiveness and forbearance policy. And let’s not forget the wars. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told Sky News in October‚ “America can certainly afford to stand with Israel and to support Israel's military needs and we also can and must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia.” With all due respect‚ America can’t even afford peace! The only reasonable conclusion is that the government wanted the inflation. The powers that be wanted it to bail out excessive borrowers like themselves and states such as California‚ Illinois‚ and New Jersey that remain buried in pension debt with no reasonable plan to pay their bills. That scheme would work if those being bailed out embraced real spending restraints. They won't.

LA homeowner defends toddler and turf from four home invaders‚ wins duel

Police responded to a burglary call from a Los Angeles residence early Saturday morning‚ finding a corpse and a trail of blood. Neither belonged to the homeowner‚ whose two-armed security system prevailed against four home invaders. According to the Los Angeles Police Department‚ three to four men in their 20s entered the Granada Hills home in the 11400 block of Swinton Avenue "with the intent to burglarize the location." While the suspects successfully stole into the house‚ they discovered getting out would be far more difficult. The homeowner‚ who indicated the suspects were all wearing dark clothing‚ hoodies and masks‚ was inside at the time of the incursion. He had more than property to defend‚ granted inside the home with him was a grandmother and a toddler. Police indicated that once inside‚ a suspect pointed a gun at the homeowner. However‚ the master of the house quickly mastered the situation‚ blowing the suspect away with his handgun. Following the decisive duel‚ it appears the homeowner may have also left one of the three fleeing suspects with a souvenir. After all‚ the LAPD indicated there is reason to suspect "an additional suspect was injured during the incident due to a trail of blood located during the investigation." Beside their accomplice‚ suspects also left behind what is believed to be their getaway car at the scene‚ a black BMW sedan. The LAPD indicated no one beside the suspects were injured during the incident. Police indicated Sunday that they are withholding the dead suspect's identity until next of kin have been notified. A neighbor who asked not to be identified told KTLA-TV‚ "Well the suspects messed with the wrong homeowner‚ you know." "Makes me feel good that people are actually protect[ing] their homes‚" he added. Pat Walsh‚ another nearby resident‚ said‚ "We've been having burglaries every day in this neighborhood and so I'm not surprised‚ I'm not surprised at all this has happened. It's a real problem here and the residents here are fed up." The homeowner was detained by police and taken to Devonshire Community Police Station for questioning but was subsequently released. Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton stressed‚ "Anyone that's inside of their residence that is faced with a deadly threat and is perceived as a deadly threat has a right to protect themselves." There have been a string of burglaries in the area where homeowners have not all been so fortunate. KTLA reported that on Nov. 29‚ another Granada Hills home had $150‚000 in valuables stolen by burglars. The family had been out Christmas shopping but raced home after spotting intruders rifling through the house on a baby monitor. The father caught up with the suspects and managed to ram their car multiple times‚ but couldn't mete out justice because he was ultimately outgunned. He did‚ however‚ get out unscathed. "It's insane‚" said Maria Turley‚ a local resident. "We're not safe anymore. We're a quiet little community. I've been here for 28 years. This doesn't happen‚ but it's become normal now." As of Nov. 25‚ Los Angeles had 13‚407 reported burglaries this year‚ a 15.2% increase over 2021. The LAPD indicated there had only been 1‚377 arrests for burglary. Total property crimes in the city have increased 2.1% over last year and 15.4% over 2021. Like Blaze News? Psychologist has compelling take on black reparations

Dr. Umar Johnson is a black American motivational speaker and psychologist. He’s been a controversial figure on the left for his denunciation of homosexuality and interracial marriage and a controversial figure on the right for supporting black reparations. However‚ his approach to reparations is anything but conventional. Jason Whitlock plays a clip of Dr. Johnson explaining “how he's pro-reparations but doesn't think they should be given right now.” “Before there’s any reparations conversation‚ before there’s any distribution of reparations‚ we have to first organize and elect the people we want to represent us‚” he said. “Because every penny you get from reparations is gonna go to the China man‚ to the Arab‚ to the Jew; it’s going to Mercedes‚ it’s going to Nike.” “Then black people say‚ ‘You don't know that that's true.’ Yes‚ I do know that that's true … because as a psychologist‚ the best predictor of future behavior is current behavior‚” he continued. “So you mean to tell me we're going to radically change our spending habits with the reparations money? It's not going to happen when you’ve never been responsible with your own damn money‚ and that's why I've said I do not believe that the current generation of African people should be responsible for the dissemination or discussion over reparations because we haven't done anything worthwhile that will entitle us to that type of responsibility.” Jason‚ who’s openly “anti-reparations‚” disagrees but nonetheless appreciates Dr. Johnson “being uncomfortably transparent and honest.” “Reparations? What are we gonna do with it? Fly around the country and go to Beyonce concerts and buy new Air Jordans?” asks Jason‚ in agreement with Dr. Johnson. Guest Shemeka Michelle adds that according to a 2022 report‚ “blacks actually had a $1.6 trillion spending power.” “Where are the black hospitals? Where are the black banks? Where are the black grocery stores?” she asks. “We’re so materialistic as a culture.” Jason‚ however‚ has an idea that might be a compromise. “If there's going to be any sort of reparations‚ it should be about investing in the black family‚ and investing in the black family means investing in the black man and putting him in a position where he can actually lead a family‚” he says.
