Reid Accuses SCOTUS Of Waging A 'Frontal Assault On Modern Society'

If you were to ask one of those A.I. bots to write out a typical MSNBC diatribe‚ it would look like Joy Reid on the Tuesday edition of The ReidOut. In her opening rant‚ Reid went after conservatives in elected office‚ out of office‚ and on the Supreme Court. She accused conservatives of not liking black people‚ brown people‚ women‚ gay and transgender people‚ immigrants‚ and Muslims while seeking to impose The Handmaid’s Tale. On the issue of the Supreme Court‚ Reid ranted: And I didn't even get to the national abortion ban Trump is planning. And the further plans of the right-wing majority of the Supreme Court. The conservative majority on the Court‚ led by Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas have already waged a full frontal assault on modern society. Including repealing the Civil Rights era‚ abortion access‚ and affirmative action‚ and they are currently gunning for contraceptive access‚ and maybe even gay marriage.      Reid had a special dislike for Justice Samuel Alito who dared to lament that people like her do not seem to care about religious liberty or the Second Amendment‚ “And that is because justices like Alito and Thomas share the religious far-right's grievances about society's evolution. Alito once complained that ‘in certain quarters‚ religious liberty is fast becoming a disfavored right’ while ‘the ultimate second-tier Constitutional right in the minds of some is the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.’” Going through the identity politics checklist‚ Reid continued‚ “Why would he care about actual second class citizens like women‚ the poor‚ black and brown people‚ or gays‚ lesbians‚ and trans people.” Reid next turned to Speaker Mike Johnson‚ “who‚ according to one MSNBC columnist‚ is the most unabashedly Christian nationalist speaker in U.S. history. Which means he too wants to basically eviscerate the separation between church and state. He once called homosexuality an inherently unnatural and dangerous lifestyle. Now‚ if all of this sounds like The Handmaid's Tale‚ congratulations‚ you get it.” Earlier‚ Reid recalled how Donald Trump is using the Center for Renewing America and something called Project 25 from the Heritage Foundation to preview a would-be second term and she ran off just a few of the supposedly scary things that might be coming: Including mass deportations‚ shooting migrants at the border‚ full immunity for police to kill at will. Gutting the EPA‚ terminating the Constitution‚ bombing Mexico‚ exiting NATO‚ banning Muslims from entering the country‚ imposing ideological screenings for immigrants. Revoking student visas of those who protest on college campuses against Israel. He also wants to dismantle the Department of Education‚ enforce Florida-style patriotic education in our schools‚ end federal funding of any schools that mention so-called Critical Race Theory‚ gender ideology‚ or what people like Stephen Miller determine to be inappropriate racial‚ sexual‚ or political content.  There’s a lot there‚ but just to pick a few‚ neither CRA nor Heritage is proposing “terminating the Constitution.” Neither is proposing exiting NATO—Project 25 doesn’t even call for the cessation of military aid to Ukraine—and everyone‚ even Joy Reid‚ presumably believes that immigrants should pass some basic form of “ideological screening.” Surely‚ Reid would be opposed to the admission of European neo-Nazis. However‚ Reid was not done: They intend to force children to learn about their version of the ‘nuclear’ family‚ including the roles of mothers and fathers and things that make men and women different and unique. That's what our kids will learn in Trump's Christian nationalist public schools while corporations and America's wealthiest men like Jamie Dimon‚ Elon Musk‚ and every other rich celebrity supporting Trump get yet another giant tax cut.  It is unclear why Reid felt the need to put “nuclear” in scare quotes. Here is a transcript for the February 20 show: MSNBC The ReidOut 2/20/2024 7:04 PM ET JOY REID: Thanks to reporting from Politico‚ the New York Times and Axios‚ we now know that CRA and Project 25 have a long list of plans for America on day one of a second Trump Administration. Including mass deportations‚ shooting migrants at the border‚ full immunity for police to kill at will. They intend to force children to learn about their version of the “nuclear” family‚ including the roles of mothers and fathers and things that make men and women different and unique. That's what our kids will learn in Trump's Christian nationalist public schools while corporations and America's wealthiest men like Jamie Dimon‚ Elon Musk‚ and every other rich celebrity supporting Trump get yet another giant tax cut.  Or maybe they just cease to pay taxes at all. And I didn't even get to the national abortion ban Trump is planning. And that is because justices like Alito and Thomas share the religious far-right's grievances about society's evolution. Alito once complained that ‘“in certain quarters‚ religious liberty is fast becoming a disfavored right’ while ‘the ultimate second-tier Constitutional right in the minds of some is the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.’” Why would he care about actual second class citizens like women‚ the poor‚ black and brown people‚ or gays‚ lesbians‚ and trans people. Alito and Trump are joined by House Speaker Mike Johnson who‚ according to one MSNBC columnist‚ is the most unabashedly Christian nationalist speaker in U.S. history. Which means he too wants to basically eviscerate the separation between church and state. He once called homosexuality an inherently unnatural and dangerous lifestyle.  Now‚ if all of this sounds like The Handmaid's Tale‚ congratulations‚ you get it.

Mother of Super Bowl parade shooting suspect started GoFundMe to help her son through 'tragic time'

The mother of one of two suspects in the deadly shooting during the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City‚ Missouri‚ last week tried to crowdsource funds for son — before apparently coming to her senses and shutting the account down.Last Wednesday‚ the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII victory celebration with the city turned to atrocity when two young men allegedly began firing bullets at one another after a brief argument. According to reports‚ Dominic Miller‚ 18‚ and a group of his associates attending the parade thought Lyndell Mays‚ 23‚ "was looking at them" in a way they found offensive.Mays‚ apparently a total stranger to Miller and his group‚ allegedly responded by taunting them and approaching them "in an aggressive manner." As tensions continued to escalate‚ Mays then drew a weapon and started chasing and firing at an unnamed and unarmed individual‚ surveillance footage indicated. Miller also allegedly fired a weapon‚ which police believe was stolen. After the violent melee was over‚ 22 people — including nine children — were wounded‚ and Lisa Lopez-Galvan‚ a 43-year-old mother of two‚ was dead. Prosecutors claim that Miller fired the lethal shot.Mays was among the wounded‚ having sustained nine gunshots‚ and has been in the hospital since the incident. To offset the cost of his medical care and to help him manage the "tragic" experience‚ his mother‚ Teneal Burnside‚ initiated a GoFundMe account on his behalf‚ the New York Post reported. In pleading her case for donations‚ Burnside — perhaps beholden to the American legal principle of innocent until proven guilty — painted Mays as the victim of unfortunate circumstances. "He is in the ICU fighting for a recovery from several surgeries from going to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration with his older sister‚" Burnside wrote‚ according to the Post. On the account page‚ Burnside also shared pictures of Mays hooked up to various medical devices in the ICU to demonstrate the severity of his injuries. "Getting shot multiple times at a time that was [meant] to bring so much joy to so many has [brought] pain and sadness to all that was attending‚" Burnside reportedly lamented. The account has since been deleted‚ so verifying when it was started and closed is difficult. However‚ the Post claimed that it had raised $100 before Mays was criminally charged on Tuesday. Both Mays and Miller have been charged with one count of second-degree murder‚ two counts of armed criminal action‚ and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond for both men has been set at $1 million. When questioned about the shooting‚ Mays reportedly admitted that he drew his weapon first and that he started shooting after members of Miller's group threatened to "get" him‚ a phrase that he interpreted to mean they wanted to "kill" him. Additionally‚ he reportedly acknowledged that others began firing their guns after he "shot first."Mays also supposedly framed the shooting as a "stupid" mistake. "Stupid‚ man‚" Mays said‚ according to court documents. "Just pulled a gun out and started shooting. "I shouldn’t have done that. Just being stupid."Like Blaze News? Comedian Whitney Cummings says she got in trouble for saying 'merry Christmas' while on the set of 'Roseanne'

Comedy writer Whitney Cummings revealed that she was reprimanded by human resources after she wished a coworker "merry Christmas" on the set of the TV show "Roseanne."Cummings‚ a longtime comedian and writer for Comedy Central's roast programs as well as the show "2 Broke Girls‚" discussed her disdain for "woke" employees with fellow comedian Bill Maher. On Maher's "Club Random" podcast‚ the duo discussed how one "social justice warrior" at a workplace can ruin the experience for all the other employees."I am paranoid about hiring … with the way people are now‚ especially the younger generation. We’re a happy group and we have been for a very long time‚ and we function really well together. People don’t wanna leave‚” Maher said about his own production."All it takes is one stupid f**king uber-woke person who thinks they’re a social justice warrior but they just want to stir up s***‚" he added.Cummings then recalled facing discipline while working on the set of "Roseanne." "I think most people are reasonable‚ I think we hear from the fringes the most‚ like when HR called me to tell me I was in trouble for saying 'merry Christmas.' They were like 'hey‚ so like‚' they thought it was ridiculous too‚" Cummings remembered. "I confronted the person and I basically was like 'you're dangerous to everybody in this office.'"The sitcom was a beloved blue-collar show on ABC (Disney) that turned woke and fired star Roseanne Barr over alleged racism on X‚ then Twitter. The show originally ran from 1988 to 1997 until being rebooted in 2018 before Barr's firing. The show name was then changed to "The Conners" and carried on without Barr.Maher was apprehensive about agreeing that everyone is against being woke in its entirety."That's a good story and I'm glad it came out that way for you‚ but I am not as sanguine as you are about the idea that the ridiculous don't have fans‚" Maher stated. "No one ever gets in trouble for being too woke. You can't get canceled for being too woke‚" he continued.Maher and Cummings also discussed Donald Trump's ability to win over audiences and recognize the needs of certain demographics‚ which Cummings attributed to him studying Joseph Stalin and others.Maher‚ disagreeing that Trump has ever "studied anything‚" also compared him to Stalin as well as Adolf Hitler."Not Hitler 'kill all the Jews Hitler‚' but Hitler: master politician‚ instinctive politician who was crazy. Because Trump is crazy‚ clinically kind of crazy but has that instinct of playing on peoples' sense of being wounded‚ and being owed something‚ and resent to politics ... he does not read anything!" Another day‚ another dollar‚ another person in Hollywood compares Donald Trump to a tyrannical dictator. \nThis time it's Whitney Cummings comparing Trump to Stalin and Silvio Berlusconi‚ while Bill Maher says that Donald Trump has notes of Hitler. Scientists deal another blow to gender ideology‚ confirming the obvious: Men's and women's brains work differently

Scientists deal another blow to gender ideology‚ confirming the obvious: Men's and women's brains work differently

Radical feminist theorists such as Judith Butler and various exponents of trangenderism have suggested that sex — or at the very least gender‚ assuming there is a difference — is socially constructed. A group of Stanford Medicine researchers rained on the gender ideologues' parade this week with a new study indicating that no amount of social construction or cosmetic surgery can hide the fact of one's actual sex on a brain scan. The study‚ published Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science‚ identified "highly replicable‚ generalizable‚ and behaviorally relevant sex differences in human functional brain organization localized to the default mode network‚ striatum‚ and limbic network." Simply put: men's and women's brains not only are physically distinct‚ but they operate differently. Differences between the sexes in behavior‚ performance‚ and physiology have been observed and understood since time immemorial. While various studies have substantiated this common sense in esteemed academic journals — highlighting in 2017‚ for instance‚ the volumetric and structural differences between male and female brains — the Stanford scientists suggested that previous scientific work demonstrating differences in brain organization between the sexes remained inconclusive. Accordingly‚ they set out to "uncover latent functional brain dynamics that distinguish male and female brains." Lead authors Srikanth Ryali and Yuan Zhang‚ along with senior author Vinod Menon‚ director of the Stanford Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience Laboratory‚ fed a new artificial intelligence model various brain scans‚ telling it whether it was digesting images of male or female brains. Over time it began to "notice" subtle patterns that could help it differentiate between the two types. The researchers then tested their spatiotemporal deep neural network model on the brain scans of 1‚500 young adults‚ ages 20 to 35. The AI model proved incredibly effective at determining whether the scans came from men or women‚ getting it right over 90% of the time. "Our results demonstrate that sex differences in functional brain dynamics are not only highly replicable and generalizable but also behaviorally relevant‚ challenging the notion of a continuum in male-female brain organization‚" said the study. "This is a very strong piece of evidence that sex is a robust determinant of human brain organization‚" Menon said in a release. The researchers also created sex-specific models of cognitive abilities. According to Stanford Medicine‚ one AI model was able to predict cognitive performance in men but not in women. The other model was effective in predicting cognitive performance but with the sexes reversed. "These models worked really well because we successfully separated brain patterns between sexes‚" Menon noted. "That tells me that overlooking sex differences in brain organization could lead us to miss key factors underlying neuropsychiatric disorders." The "hot spots" that were most helpful in distinguishing between male and female brains were the so-called default mode network‚ the corpus striatum‚ and the limbic system. The Telegraph noted that the "default mode network" is the area of the brain believed to be the neurological seat for the "self‚" critical for contemplative thought‚ daydreaming‚ and processing autobiographic memories. The striatum is a cluster of neurons in the forebrain that plays a general role in skill learning‚ apparently optimizing behavior by "refining action selection and in shaping habits and skills as a modulator of motor repertoires." The limbic system is a group of structures deep inside the brain that performs various functions — from governing emotions‚ motivation‚ smell‚ and behavior to playing a role in the formation of long-term memory and dealing with sexual stimulation. It's also reportedly important in habit forming and rewards. "A key motivation for this study is that sex plays a crucial role in human brain development‚ in aging‚ and in the manifestation of psychiatric and neurological disorders‚" continued Menon. "Identifying consistent and replicable sex differences in the healthy adult brain is a critical step toward a deeper understanding of sex-specific vulnerabilities in psychiatric and neurological disorders." Gina Rippon‚ a leftist professor emeritus of cognitive neuroimaging at the Aston Brain Center‚ scrambled to account for the study's conclusions‚ claiming that society is to blame for the physical neurological differences between men and women‚ reported the Telegraph. "The really intriguing issue is that those areas of the brain which are most reliably distinguishing the sexes are key parts of the social brain‚" said Rippon. "The key issue is whether these differences are a product of sex-specific‚ biological influences or of brain-changing gendered experiences. Or both. Are we really looking at sex differences? Or gender differences?" Rippon has spent many years downplaying the role of biology in creating sex differences in the brain‚ going so far as to pen a controversial book in 2019 called "Gendered Brain: The New Neuroscience that Shatters the Myth of the Female Brain." Gay rumors are the price Shannon Sharpe must pay for matriarchal counseling

Gay rumors are the price Shannon Sharpe must pay for matriarchal counseling

As a child‚ I idolized my sister‚ Yolanda. I’m reluctant to refer to her as my “stepsister.” My dad remarried when I was very young. Yolanda and Archie‚ my stepmom’s kids‚ became as dear to me as my favorite human being on the planet‚ my brother James. I was the baby of the bunch. “Yo-Yo” is six years older than me. A straight-A student‚ Yo-Yo was the smartest person I knew. She was independent and entrepreneurial. She was beautiful. For a year or so‚ she dated my favorite athlete‚ Magic Johnson. I can remember eavesdropping on their phone conversations in the early 1980s. Shannon Sharpe pleased the world and won the support of entertainment power brokers by making himself an ally of the Alphabet Mafia. Yo-Yo made me believe I could accomplish anything because I watched her put herself through college‚ start small businesses‚ land corporate jobs‚ connect with important people‚ and buy a condo and an expensive foreign car all before turning 30. Yo-Yo was my version of Oprah Winfrey before anyone had ever heard of Oprah Winfrey. When I think about the inspiration for my career‚ I credit it to three women: 1) My grandmother‚ Lovie Kennedy. She planted the seeds of Christianity in my heart and soul. 2) My mother‚ Joyce Whitlock. She provided a stable home and environment that allowed me to blossom. 3) Yo-Yo. She opened my eyes to all that I could achieve through hard work and education. I bring this up because I’m highly critical of the matriarchal culture that dominates the American black experience. My critique can come across as if I’m arguing that black women are a detriment to black men. They’re not. Not when they play the right roles in a family and in society. My contention is that women are being placed in the wrong roles. They’ve been baited into thinking they can do it all. They can be mother and father‚ sister and brother‚ inspiration and top adviser. This came to mind for me this week when I watched football legend turned prolific podcaster Shannon Sharpe discuss his recent controversies with comedians Mike Epps‚ Corey Holcomb‚ and Eddie Griffin. The trio of comedians have been cracking jokes about Sharpe’s sexuality‚ asserting that Sharpe is gay. Sharpe and Epps exchanged threats across social media before finally settling their differences. Sharpe‚ 55‚ has repeatedly pointed to his sister as his top confidante‚ his most trusted adviser. This is inappropriate‚ and it’s likely why rumors about Sharpe’s sexuality have surfaced. More than a year ago‚ Sharpe began promoting the fact that he’d hired a gay wardrobe stylist to work exclusively with him. Russell “Hollywood” Simpson‚ the stylist‚ had been famous for being the secret lover of former NFL safety Kerry Rhodes. Women‚ particularly black women‚ love being BFFs with gay men. A female adviser would be far more prone to co-sign Sharpe parading around Los Angeles and at Lakers games with his gay stylist. A male adviser might have warned Sharpe about the consequences to his heterosexual reputation. Stephen A. Smith is another high-profile media member who constantly refers to his sister as his top adviser. I’m sure some of it is a virtue signal. Modern‚ feminized culture requires men to install women in high advisory positions to avoid looking misogynistic. It’s a byproduct of the diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion agenda. It’s harmful. Male spaces — from Boy Scouts to golf clubs to locker rooms — have been integrated in the name of inclusion. It’s a mistake. I loved and respected my grandmother. I love and respect my mother and sister. They’re not my advisers. They’re my inspiration. They’re my why.I seek the counsel of men. For better or worse‚ my father (now deceased) and brother have had the most impact on my life. My dad instilled in me a victimless‚ cast-down-your-bucket mentality. My brother models the kind of commitment to family to which I aspire. When I need advice‚ I turn to Christian men. I do not doubt the intelligence of women. My sister is extremely intelligent. My mother is extremely wise. I doubt their instincts and willingness to defy the world in obedience to God. Safety and prosperity rank too high on their priorities list. Safety and prosperity compel a level of compromise that has led to the pervasive chaos prevalent in America today. Shannon Sharpe‚ the big tough football legend‚ pleased the world and won the support of entertainment power brokers by making himself a public ally of the Alphabet Mafia. A Christian man would have warned Shannon that his kids and reputation would suffer from that choice.

VAERS chart shows a shocking result of COVID vaccines

For the longest time‚ anyone – including medical professionals and scientists – who dared to challenge the effectiveness of the COVID vaccine was censored‚ silenced‚ and banished to the realm of crazy anti-vaxxers. However‚ now the tides are turning as more and more evidence surfaces about the reality of the rapidly developed COVID vaccine. The same companies that once shoved the vaccine down our throats‚ swearing that it was 100% safe and effective‚ are now backtracking. “Last week we talked about the Pfizer scientists admitting the heart disease coming from the vaccine. This week the biggest study so far ever done on the global safety of the vaccine has just been released‚ and [the CDC] too is now admitting to severe illness‚ death‚ and lingering long symptoms‚” says Pat Gray. No longer can these companies deny that the vaccine is “causing problems neurologically … blood problems‚ and heart-related conditions.” “I've got a chart here that's going to blow your mind‚ Pat‚” says Keith Malinak before displaying the following data from VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System)‚ managed by the CDC and the FDA. “These are VAERS’ reported deaths by vaccine between the years 1988 and 2021 … over thirty years of data‚” says Keith. “All of the deaths from vaccines (not the COVID one) are on the left‚” while the COVID vaccine “accounts for half the deaths” even though by 2021‚ it had only been in circulation for one year. What’s perhaps most upsetting is that despite this data‚ the CDC continues to tell people “to go get it‚” says Pat. To hear more‚ watch the clip below. Biden's DOJ awards university nearly $1M to create 'disinformation' dashboard to help track‚ curb 'violent extremism'

The Biden administration's Department of Justice recently awarded a South Carolina university a nearly $1 million grant to create a "disinformation" dashboard that will help track "specific accounts" to prevent "violent extremism‚" the Daily Caller News Foundation reported. The DOJ will provide Clemson University with $953‚203 in taxpayer funds to research "mis-‚ dis-‚ and mal-information‚" referred to as "MDM" in the grant's description. It noted that it "has become a top priority for governments‚ private organizations‚ and researchers" to investigate‚ reduce‚ and prevent MDM."Nationally publicized political events often become focal points of MDM‚ which are exploited by various individuals and groups to launch disinformation campaigns and trigger spontaneous or crowd-sourced diffusion of disinformation and violent extremism‚" the grant's description stated. The nearly $1 million award will fund a university project that aims to answer several questions‚ including: "(1) What characteristics of high-profile events are more likely to trigger online MDM campaigns? (2) What network patterns are associated with online MDM clusters‚ and dissemination pathways‚ and what are the technical characteristics of more vulnerable platforms? (3) What are the common characteristics of organizations and other actors engaged in MDM campaigns? (4) What are the key themes and linguistic features of MDM campaigns‚ and how do they vary across disseminators and adopters?"After answering the above questions‚ the university team will be tasked with crafting "specialized algorithms to identify the creation of MDM campaigns."The project will conduct "the first real-time mapping of the spread of MDM campaigns around contentious public events‚" the description explained."In the first phase‚ the team will produce an original events-level dataset that documents real-time characteristics of MDM-triggering political events‚" the grant description continued. "In the second phase‚ advanced computational tools will be employed to monitor MDM campaigns in nearreal time and to identify specific accounts/nodes linked to outsized contributions."According to the description‚ the project will be used to "shape responses to MDM." It noted that the research will be "useful for policy makers‚ law enforcement officials‚ as well as community stakeholders." The university team will also be tasked with developing "outreach materials and an online dashboard with an MDM tracker.""The dashboard will provide a multi-level framework to understand the determinants and characteristics of MDM outbreaks‚ and identify links between specific linguistic characteristics and their virality. Additionally‚ the MDM tracker will provide insights into the commonalities and differences amongst online behaviors of mdm adopters‚ non-adopters‚ and disseminators‚" the grant description concludes. The taxpayer funds will be awarded to the university through the DOJ's National Institute of Justice Research‚ Evaluation‚ and Development Project Grants. The grant program aims to "foster the development of new knowledge and tools that can be applied to reduce crime and advance justice‚ particularly at the state and local level."Neither the DOJ nor Clemson University responded to a request for comment from the DCNF.
