There are countless adorable creatures to love but‚ sometimes‚ there are certain ones we connect with more than the rest. Personally‚ my two favorites are cats and ducks. But for Lindsay’s mom‚ penguins are hands down the best. In fact‚ she’s spent much of her life dying to meet one. That’s what makes the moment she finally meets a penguin so special! Together‚ they ventured to SeaWorld in San Diego. Here‚ they offer penguin encounters. In doing so‚ this sweet lady was able to get up close and personal with the birds she adores so much. Need to relax? We found what we thought would be a relaxing video of folks in a boat feeding a school of fish. In all honesty‚ we probably should have read the caption and comments first. Because what started as a tame video of feeding a small school of Giant Trevally and a few other assorted fish turned into a huge sea creature attack on the small boat! Image from TikTok. The bait was hanging near the boat‚ offering a great view of the school as they came to nibble. Occasionally‚ a larger fish came up and struck the bait hard. But mostly‚ it was just nibblers and a gentle swaying of the bait line. Image from TikTok. As we watched‚ this big fellow swam into view. Image from TikTok. Everything Changed In A Flash When The Sea Creature Appeared! By this time‚ we had caught some of the comments. One look at this guy had us guffawing at using the terms “sea creature” and “monster” in the conversation. While he was big‚ he was hardly “monster-big.” But then … what is that shadow? Everyone in the boat has a slight pucker going on by this time. That thing was humongous! Before his arrival‚ it was all fun and games. Now the bait was gone‚ and this monstrous sea creature was swimming away with a line attached to the boat! Seconds later‚ the sea creature returned‚ clutching the bait and rope in its huge mouth. We’re pretty sure the ending did not include capsizing the tiny boat‚ although one commenter thought they heard Geppeto screaming for help from the belly of the sea creature. Many people guessed the giant fish was a Goliath Grouper‚ but we didn’t think so. Goliath Groupers are indigenous to the Atlantic Ocean. Giant Trevally live in tropical waters in the Indo-Pacific region. Based on that‚ we suspect the sea creature is a Queensland Grouper. Although smaller than the Goliath‚ the Queensland can grow quite large. You can watch the entire encounter below.
