FORT McCOY, Wis. (WXOW) - UPDATE: 4 P.M.: The FBI tells WXOW that they are working to identify remains found in a remote area of Fort McCoy over the weekend.

FBI Public Affairs Officer Leonard Peace of the FBI's Milwaukee Division said that human remains were found in a remote area of the fort on Saturday.

In a statement, he said "There is no reason to believe it is related to any of the evacuees, or active duty military personnel on the base. Identification of the body is pending. The FBI is working with the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office, who will release information at a future date once positive identification has been made."

From dawn to dusk on Sunday, hundreds of volunteers formed a search party, scouring swampy land and rough terrain in Pine County, Minnesota, hoping to find a Wisconsin mother of four who has been missing since September.

Ashley Miller Carlson, 33, of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, was last seen on September 23, 2021, in the Lake Lena (Aazhoomog) Community part of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe in Pine County, Minnesota, according to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office.

Ashley, who is divorced, was reported missing by her family on September 24 when the vehicle she was driving was found east of Hinckley, Minnesota in Graces Lake. No one has seen or heard from her since and her family is extremely worried.

Gallatin, Tenn. (WZTV) — UPDATE:

The Gallatin Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding Jacob Clare who was last seen leaving with his niece and son.

Police say that Jacob left late Friday or early Saturday with Amber, his niece, and his son Noah.

The trio left Ohio County, Kentucky headed toward Gallatin to drop off Noah with his family. They never made it.
