DOMESTIC. The moderates propose in connection with Stockholm Pride that immigrants who attack others should be deported - provided that the victim is an "LGBTQ person". Now the party is receiving criticism on social media.


"Persons without Swedish citizenship who are convicted of assaults against LGBTQ people must be deported," writes M in a campaign image published on Twitter.

The party continues:

"Sweden must never become a haven for oppressive values. Anyone who is not a Swedish citizen and is convicted of attacks against LGBTQ people must therefore be deported. It should be obvious in a modern democracy like Sweden, but still it is not like that today."

Among the comments to the trend-sensitive post, however, there are many users who question the party's idea that homosexuals in particular should be given special treatment, at the same time as, for example, immigrants who rape Swedish women and girls avoid deportation.

"Is it less serious to attack straight people than to attack LGBTQ people?" writes a tweeter.

"Is it special legislation for LGBTQ people that should apply?! Violence is just as bad whoever it hits?" asks another.

Despite the media alarm - July 2022 was not warmer than usual

DOMESTIC. Warm and cooler periods largely canceled each other out during July in Sweden. For the country as a whole, the July temperature ended up close to a long-term average for the period 1860-1900, according to SHMI.

July 2022 will probably be mainly remembered for the intense heat in the days around July 21 - which was widely reported in the media - and the severe summer storms that followed when the heat broke.

But the month of July also contained periods of cool and unsettled weather. Mainly in the western parts of Norrland, the month was a little colder than normal for the period 1991–2020, according to SMHI.

Frost occurred on a couple of occasions in western Norrland. As low as -1.7° in Börtnan in Jämtland on July 29.

The most attention-grabbing, however, were the high temperatures measured in southern Sweden on July 21. Målilla had 37.2°, which is the highest measured temperature in Sweden since June 1947. Forced to replace motor for $100,000 - because Tesla won't sell loose rubber ring
Workshop expert Fredrik Grufman is now sounding the alarm that Tesla owners are having to replace the entire rear drive unit for 100,000 SEK because a rubber ring is missing.
- It's like Volvo wouldn't sell you a new valve cover gasket, valve seals or cylinder head gasket. Their response will be "Sorry kid, you'll have to buy a new motor. There are no parts loose," writes Fredrik Grufman.
Now a number of Tesla Model S in Sweden are getting a few years on them and many miles on the odometer. Then come new repairs that are solved easily on traditional cars, but have proven to be a major operation on Tesla and may require engine replacement. Some owners may have to replace the entire Rear Drive Unit, the rear motor and drive unit, because there are no o-rings and gaskets to buy between the motor and the inverter.
- Currently have several Model S's in the shop with glycol leaks in the rear drive unit. According to Tesla there is only one option - replace the rear drive unit, states Fredrik Grufman in a Tesla forum on Facebook.
The repair can cost about 100 000 SEK including labor and a rear drive unit. Tesla does not sell internal parts for the drive units. When something breaks inside, the whole unit has to be replaced even though the fault is actually simple. Fredrik Grufman compares it to Volvo requiring an engine replacement when the valve cover gasket or cylinder head gasket leaks. But maybe the engine can be saved after all - by trying to make your own o-rings.
- For example, we need new o-rings between the motor and the inverter. They leak. Not available. We'll have to make them ourselves. We also need a new inverter housing - i.e. the alu-cage as you see below. It is completely corroded inside and there are some plastic parts on the inside that should seal that is totally rotted through.
