1979 unsolved murder solved again murderer escapes justice for this crime.
"The cold case slaying of a 12-year-old girl in Texas more than four decades ago was solved after authorities used an advanced DNA tool to identify her killer, authorities said Monday.
Gerald Dwight Casey, who was executed in 2002 for an unrelated capital murder case, was linked to Lesia Michell Jackson’s 1979 sexual assault and homicide with the help of a DNA technique known as “M-Vac,” the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The technology, originally developed to identify food contamination but now used to collect DNA from porous and other difficult surfaces, was used to process samples discovered on Lesia’s clothing, the sheriff’s office said."

"GROVEPORT, Ohio — A man shot and killed a woman at a warehouse Monday, then died after he climbed a nearby utility pole and was electrocuted, police say.
A news release from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received multiple calls from an SK Foods warehouse on Toy Road just before 5:30 a.m. with reports of shots fired. Authorities say a domestic disturbance led to the shooting in the building, which claimed the life of a woman whose identity has not been released.
WCMH Channel 4 reports the woman was shot multiple times in a locker room area of the building. She was taken to a hospital but died of her wounds.
After the shooting, the male suspect left the building and climbed a nearby utility pole. He died when he touched the power lines, reports say."
