July 4th-5th are more dates where someone went missing or murdered in Idaho. These cases are yet unsolved:
1. July 4, 2005 - Luis Rodriguez Hernandez of Jerome went to work a dayshift at Bettencourt Dairy and disappeared. He was a beloved husband and stepfather with a family who still seeks answers and justice. After a court hearing with testimony, a death certificate was issued. Cause of death? Gunshot wound to the head. However, we still have no body.
2. July 4, 2016 - Dominick Tipuric, 21, of Boise was tent camping with friends off Warren Wagon Road, next to a friend's cabin. His friends went to check on him at 11AM and found him deceased. Cause of death "positional asphyxia". Valley County listed this as a cold case.
3. July 5, 1973 - Donna Lemon, 19, a nurse from Bozeman, is last seen in Gallatin Gateway. Four days later, her body is found stabbed to death near the Snake River in Idaho Falls, at the pier downtown by Snake River Landing.
4. July 5, 1986- Gary Lennon is killed by Jose Ballardo in Wilder. Ballardo fled, possibly to Mexico, and is still wanted by police for murder. Ballardo and his friends had been hassling the store owner prior to the shooting.
5. July 5, 1994 - Mary Smith goes missing from Twin Falls. Little has been released about her case.
6. July 5, 2005 - Jason Alvarado, 22, dies of a gunshot wound to the head. Jesse Gutierrez, 24, was hospitalized in the same incident for two gunshot wounds to his leg.
