There are not enough police in Austin to handle multiple major emergencies as a result of the 2020 movement to “defund the police‚” according to a new documentary from The Daily Caller. The documentary‚ called “Lawless‚” examines the effects of the anti-police movement across the country in the wake of the death of George Floyd in May 2020. One of the cities Daily Caller investigators examined was Austin‚ Texas‚ where the city council voted to cut the police budget by one third in August 2020 amid a wave of anti-police sentiment. While Austin later voted to move funding back to the police department‚ it still faces massive staffing shortages and its chief of police resigned in August. One of the easiest ways to find out what’s important to a group of people — whether it’s a country‚ a culture‚ a congregation‚ or whatever — is to look at who they honor in death. If you do that‚ you can find out pretty quickly what traits they think are important and what characteristics they want to emulate. The ancient Greeks built shrines to heroes and kings who won great battles. Nearly every culture‚ until recently‚ has honored people for similar reasons. If you go back through history — at least if you ignore satanic cults and fundamentalist terror groups — you’d be hard-pressed to find any group of people that goes out of its way to honor the most disordered and destructive members of society. The very idea of honoring immoral behavior is counterintuitive to most people because it flies in the face of human nature and common sense. They’re heroes in the eyes of the Biden administration. They were martyred just for being trans — and in many cases‚ just for being black and trans. Just in case there was any doubt about that‚ Joe Biden made it explicit. (Or rather‚ Joe Biden’s handlers‚ who write all of his social media posts‚ made that explicit.) They’ve all come out and suggested that 26 people died just for being trans‚ or non binary‚ or one of the other infinite gender identities. The New York Daily News‚ for example‚ published this headline: At least 33 trans people were killed in the U.S. in the past 12 months amid a record year for anti-LGBTQ legislation. They have a slightly different figure from the White House. They say 33 trans people died‚ while the White House said 26 trans people died. In any event‚ the New York Daily News wants you to know that it’s been a “record year for anti-LGBTQ legislation‚” meaning legislation that outlaws the chemical and physical castration of children. The implication‚ of course‚ is that this legislation had something to do with these trans people dying. Somehow‚ legislators are committing murder just by passing laws that are overwhelmingly popular. WATCH: The Matt Walsh Show It doesn’t make a lot of sense‚ but USA Today joined in‚ publishing an article declaring that this White House-sanctioned “Day of Remembrance” is a way to honor the‚ “lives [that] have been lost to anti-transgender violence.” Again‚ what none of these statements from the Biden administration‚ or these corporate media outlets‚ ever get around to clarifying is: why exactly are we honoring these 26 dead trans people who were killed? Beyond the vague platitudes about “anti-trans legislation” and “anti-trans” violence‚ what are the specifics? Who are these people‚ exactly? Why did they die? The White House clearly doesn’t want to say. But they know the answer. The White House based its statement about 26 dead trans people on a list that was assembled recently by the so-called “Human Rights Campaign‚” or HRC. If you’re unfamiliar with the HRC‚ think of it like a Media Matters for trans activists. They’re dishonest in every possible respect. Their sole purpose‚ following the Supreme Court’s ruling on gay marriage‚ is to further false narratives that demonize anyone in this country who believes in biology‚ because people who believe in biology tend to vote the wrong way.  CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING GUIDE On its website this week‚ HRC explained that this year‚ 26 “trans and gender nonconforming people” were killed. HRC states that these are people who‚ “did not deserve to have their lives taken from them.” The clear implication of all of this is that these people died because they were trans‚ somehow. Here’s the thing — that’s not remotely true. I went through the list‚ one by one. There is not a single instance among these 26 so-called “trans and gender nonconforming” people where it’s proven that the killers were motivated by transphobia — or for that matter sexism‚ or ableism‚ or any other isms or phobia. Instead‚ there are cases like Banko Brown’s. According to HRC’s description‚ Banko‚ “was killed by an armed security guard in San Francisco after an altercation with an armed security guard at a local Walgreens store.” Well‚ that’s vague. What exactly was Banko doing with the armed security guard? As it happens‚ we don’t have to speculate about that. It was all caught on surveillance tape. We know from the video that Banko Brown — a female who identified as male — tried to rob the Walgreens. A security guard tried to stop her. And then Banko started fighting with the guard‚ and then when she turned back towards the guard while threatening to stab him‚ the guard opened fire. It’s not exactly a story about a virtuous transgender individual who was murdered “simply for being themselves‚” as Joe Biden and the HRC said. Unless we are supposed to believe that stealing from Walgreens was some sort of expression of Banko Brown’s inner truth. To be fair‚ at this point‚ you might be tempted to overlook Banko Brown’s inclusion on the White House’s list of 26 trans heroes. You might want to say that the White House and the HRC just made a mistake by including a thug like her on their list of transgender saints.  But if you’re thinking along those lines‚ you should know that it only gets worse from here. Another so-called “trans person” on the White House’s list goes by the name “Tortuguita”‚ whose real name is Manuel Teran. Who’s Manuel Teran aka Tortuguita‚ exactly? Well‚ according to HRC‚ he was a‚ “26-year-old Indigenous queer and non-binary environmental activist and community organizer.” HRC says he was‚ “shot and killed by Georgia state troopers in Atlanta‚ Georgia on January 18‚ 2023 during an ongoing protest alongside other self-described forest defender protestors against a proposed $90 million‚ 85-acre police training facility deemed Cop City by activists.” What that description leaves out is that‚ according to the local D.A.‚ Teran was holed up in a tent‚ trespassing at the site of the planned police facility‚ when authorities fired less-lethal pepperball rounds at him. That’s when Teran fired four times from his 9mm pistol‚ striking a Georgia State trooper. There’s bodycam footage of this incident. You can hear the shots. Watch: It seems Teran did not die because he was queer and nonbinary. Instead‚ he apparently died as a result of illegally protesting at the planned location of a police training facility‚ along with 61 activists linked to Antifa who have since been indicted on RICO charges. And then‚ most crucially‚ he made the fateful decision to open fire on police officers — nearly killing a Georgia State trooper. The Left claims that he never fired any shots‚ but according to police‚ forensics prove that the gun was his and he did fire it at them. Even still‚ in the wake of this shooting‚ Left-wing activists have claimed that he was actually murdered in cold blood. They say the police just executed this queer‚ nonbinary environmental activist for no reason. There’s no evidence to support that theory‚ but it really doesn’t matter in this discussion — because‚ no matter what happened‚ it is extremely obvious that Teran didn’t die because the cops were transphobic. Even if the shooting was unjustified — which it doesn’t at all appear to be — it still does not belong on a list of trans people who died “for being themselves.” Why‚ then‚ was this person included on the list of 26 trans people that Joe Biden says died just because of “who they were?” That’s a good question. Why are they putting Banko Brown and Manuel Teran on this list if it’s supposed to be a solemn remembrance of people who died because of their gender identity?  This is starting to look like it may not be an accident. It’s starting to look like the White House and the HRC want to tell us that‚ no matter what “trans” people do‚ and no matter who they try to kill‚ they’re justified. And as you go down the list provided by the HRC‚ and endorsed by the White House‚ that seems more and more likely. Consider the case of DéVonnie J’Rae Johnson‚ who’s another one of the 26 trans souls we tragically lost this year. According to the HRC‚ Johnson‚ “was shot and killed on August 7‚ 2023‚ during an altercation with a security guard just one day after her birthday.” But again‚ as with Banko Brown and Manuel Teran‚ they don’t tell you what Johnson was doing in that altercation with the security guard just before “her birthday.” If you go digging for that information‚ you’ll find that Johnson was attacking a security guard in a Ralph’s supermarket with a fire extinguisher and a screwdriver‚ before he was shot in self-defense.  According to the LAPD: The security guard informed officers that he shot the individual as the result of an armed confrontation. The wounded individual had armed themselves with a screwdriver and attempted to assault him. The wounded individual was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. At this point‚ you have to take a step back and ask: Did anyone on this list of 26 trans people die because of “transphobia”? Are any of these murders “hate crimes?” The media and the Biden administration are presenting them all as hate crimes. It’s clear that not all of them are‚ or even most of them. But are any of them? As far as I can tell‚ the answer to that question is no. At least three of these people were committing acts of violence when they died. Several others were walking in the middle of the night in conspicuous locations‚ like highways and motel rooms — which of course suggests prostitution might be involved. In other cases‚ it looks like these “trans victims” died randomly — and certainly not because of transphobia or racism or anything like that. One of the “trans victims” on the list‚ for example‚ a 28-year-old black gender nonconforming person named Thomas ‘Tom-Tom’ Robertson‚ was killed in a shooting that targeted someone else. It was just random. There’s no sign that any of this was related to a hatred of “trans people‚” since the killers were voluntarily dating these “trans people.” Another victim on the list‚ Asia Davis‚ was shot at night inside a hotel room in Michigan. We can speculate about what was going on in that hotel room‚ but the truth is that no one — including the Biden administration — is seriously suggesting that it was a Right-wing bigot who randomly decided one day to hunt down and kill Asia Davis. 21-year-old Unique Banks‚ meanwhile‚ died in a mass shooting‚ so the odds that Unique Banks was targeted for being trans seem pretty low. But Unique Banks is being mourned by the White House as yet another victim of transphobia‚ regardless. A person who goes by the name Koko Da Doll is also on the White House’s list. Is his alleged killer a MAGA Republican transphobe? Let’s see: My guess is 17-year-old Jamarcus probably didn’t kill 35-year-old Koko Da Doll because he’s a Right-winger. This was some kind of domestic issue‚ and again‚ you can speculate about what a 35-year-old trans-identified male called “Koko Da Doll” was doing with a 17-year-old. They probably weren’t getting together to play chess. I could go on‚ but you get the point. But here’s the kicker. Even if all 26 of these transgender people were killed by Right-wing bigots‚ solely because they’re transgender‚ then it would still be far safer to be “transgender” than any other demographic group in this country. There are roughly 1.6 million self-identifying trans people in this country right now. That means that‚ if only 26 of them die every year‚ then the typical member of the “trans community” has a drastically lower risk of dying in a given year than the average U.S. citizen. By some estimates‚ they’re roughly 4 times less likely to be killed. So‚ this is a fraud. It’s a hate crime myth that’s been invented out of whole cloth. And none if it’s new‚ by the way. Recently‚ trans activists and Left-wing politicians have decided to run this scam every year. Back in 2019‚ The Federalist crunched the numbers on so-called trans violence‚ as reported by the HRC‚ from 2015 to 2019. They found that within this data set‚ The two largest known categories of murders occur as a result of domestic violence and prostitution. The Federalist concluded‚ What we do know from all available resources is that the violence these individuals experience occurs to a very broad range of people with diverse backgrounds and identities. It is clearly more an issue of high-risk environments than identity-based discrimination. But identity-based discrimination — even when it doesn’t exist — is all the White House wants to talk about. They have engineered a narrative‚ with no basis in reality‚ for the sole purpose of defaming the political opponents of the Biden administration. They’re so desperate to concoct a trans genocide that they’ve lied and misrepresented every case they can. And yet‚ even after all that‚ they’re only able to come up with 26 instances of violence against so-called trans people. And not a single confirmed case — not one — where the violence was committed because the person was trans. In the end they have only accidentally proven that it is‚ in fact‚ much safer to be trans in this country than non-trans. This is farcical. It reveals that we’re governed by people who do not care about anyone — even the “gender nonconforming community.” They only care about themselves‚ and gaining more power. As the past few days have shown‚ to that end‚ they’re willing to lie about anything. They’re even willing to honor thugs who tried to kill cops‚ or beat up security guards at supermarkets with fire extinguishers. These are the heroes of the Biden administration. These are the degenerates whose legacy they want to honor.  They don’t care about the Christians murdered by that transgender terrorist. They won’t memorialize those dead men‚ women and children. They won’t praise the police officers who stopped more bloodshed by rushing into that school. Instead they’ll eulogize Banko Brown and Tortuguita. Most societies‚ throughout all of history‚ would call this kind of celebration a form of cultural suicide — a guarantee that the worst among us will be rewarded‚ and propagate‚ until society itself cannot exist anymore. But the Biden administration‚ corporate media‚ and trans activists have a different name for it. They call it the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a child rapist from Brazil‚ who entered the United States illegally after he was convicted of raping a five-year-old child in 2019 and sentenced to serve 14 years in prison. Axios calls him a “far-right economist who’s been compared to former President Trump.” A New York Times headline reads‚ “Argentina Braces Itself for Its New ’Anarcho-Capitalist’ President‚” and calls the election Argentina’s “Donald Trump moment.” The Washington Post asks‚ “Who is Javier Milei‚ Argentina’s far-right president elect?” NBC News has called him a “controversial figure‚ known to his fans as ‘The Crazy’ and ‘The Wig‚’ for his larger than life personality and hair.” This‚ unsurprisingly‚ is not the way the press treated the election of former convict and Left-winger Lula de Silva in Brazil. “Brazil Elects Lula‚ a Leftist Former Leader‚ in a Rebuke of Bolsonaro‚” the New York Times reported last year. At the time‚ the Washington Post asked‚ “Who is Lula? What to know about Brazil’s president.” But Milei‚ as we’ve said‚ must be one scary character. He has called for vast cuts to Argentina’s government — a necessity‚ since Argentina has defaulted on its debts three times since 2001‚ has a $43 billion outstanding loan to the International Monetary Fund‚ and now faces another default. Thanks to out-of-control spending‚ Argentina has had to print pesos hand over fist‚ which is why‚ according to the Ministry of the Economy‚ total money supply in Argentina skyrocketed 30.7% a year from 2007 to 2022. The poverty rate in the country is 40%. Milei comes into office promising serious cuts. His media appearances may be colorful‚ but that all serves a purpose: a determination to make massive changes to Argentina’s economic trajectory. Milei has promised to slash and burn his way through government‚ cutting 11 of 19 departments. He campaigned with a chainsaw he pledged he would use on the “parasitic state.” He wants to draw closer to the United States and Israel‚ and away from China.  Milei‚ in his inaugural address‚ pledged “radical reform.” That reform includes closing the central bank‚ the institution printing money hand over fist. Milei recognizes the reality: that inflation has crippled Argentina’s ability to recover‚ calling pesos “trash” not “even good as manure.” WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show All of this should be treated as good news. Argentina’s trajectory has been a total disaster area for decades‚ despite the glorification of Peronism at the hands of Hollywood. In fact‚ the markets are treating Milei’s election as they should: Argentine stocks and bonds have jumped on Milei’s election‚ mainly because he is the first leader of Argentina in generations who has a plan to actually avoid economic default. Milei’s election should be treated by the United States as the possible opening of a new era in South and Latin America. Along with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele‚ a new wave of conservative governance may be building in the Global South. That would be incredible‚ given the so-called “Pink Wave” that has washed across the continent over the course of the last few years. Now‚ the media and the political Left will attempt to shovel all of Argentina’s failures on Milei’s shoulders. Milei still faces a partly-Peronist legislature‚ as well as a court system stacked in favor of Leftist foolishness — the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Horacio Rosatti recently said that any attempt to dollarize would be unconstitutional. This means that Milei’s power may be curbed; he still faces entrenched economic problems‚ including a dearth of valuable currency to move toward dollarization. He will require an infusion of foreign capital in order to right the ship in Argentina — and then‚ if he comes up short‚ capitalism and economic liberalism will be blamed for the failures of Peronism. That’s always the pattern: Corporatists ruin economies‚ and then capitalism gets the blame. But Milei can succeed.
