The 30-year-old actress‚ who was born with a genetic eye condition called achromatopsia‚ is legally blind. Still‚ in her first audition‚ she secured the role of Marie-Laure in the TV mini series All the Light We Cannot See. It’s based on a novel by Anthony Doerr and focuses on what happens when a blind‚ French teenager crosses paths with a German soldier in occupied France. This show‚ and Loberti’s role‚ have proven to be a huge success. It’s also given the blind community much needed representation.
