The endorsement by the Democratic National Committee of the radical shakeup comes two months after the organization’s rule-making arm voted to yank Iowa as the leadoff state‚ a position it has held since 1972. Under the new configuration‚ South Carolina will hold its primary on Feb. 3. New Hampshire and Nevada will hold their contests three days later. Georgia will vote on Feb. 13‚ followed by Michigan on Feb. 27‚ and the Super Tuesday vote in early March. Take this recent headline from‚ yes indeed‚ the Washington Post:  How Trump is becoming more authoritarian The story‚ written by reporter Amber Phillips says‚ among other things‚ Trump is an authoritarian because he says he would be “Rounding up undocumented immigrants and keeping them in mass deportation camps.” Hello? Which is another way of saying that it’s okay for “undocumented immigrants” to flood the country‚ camp out in your back yard or move into your living room and there’s zero problem with that. Trump is supposedly showing authoritarian behavior because he would “Use the federal government to target his enemies.”  You mean like the Biden Administration has become the first in American history to seek to indict and arrest Biden’s leading political opponent? The Biden Administration is in fact guilty of exactly the decidedly authoritarian position the Post accuses Trump of just wanting to do - but who‚ in fact‚ never did while president. But strangely‚ the Post ignores in this article. Trump‚ says the Post‚ is showing authoritarian behavior because he would “Make it harder to protest against him.”  Huh? Some 574 American cities erupted in violent riots in the summer of 2020 during the Trump administration.  And when Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton had the brass to write an Op-Ed for the New York Times merely suggesting the federal government should send in the National Guard to quell the riots‚ the lefty Times staff famously revolted at shutting down the authoritarian trashing of American cities. Trump did not send the National Guard to chill the decidedly authoritarian BLM rioters. Maybe he should have. The Post article closes by saying:  Josh Chafetz‚ a constitutional law professor at Georgetown University‚ added in a recent interview: “If a president is truly determined to make himself a dictator‚ the question at the end of the day is whether the military and other force-deploying agencies of the federal government are willing to go along. If they are‚ there’s not much Congress or the courts could do about it. The hard fact the Post simply chooses to ignore is that right this minute the Biden Administration and its targeting of its leading political opponent is exactly the authoritarianism the Post tries to attribute to a future Trump administration.  Which raises the obvious question. How much does the Washington Post really love authoritarianism - when that authoritarianism is in Joe Biden’s hands? Answer? They apparently love it too much to condemn it.

Washington Post technology and online culture columnist and chief woketeer Taylor Lorenz published a 53-minute interview with 2023 MRC Bulldog Award winner Chaya Raichik—A.K.A. Libs of TikTok—to her YouTube account on Saturday‚ where she compared a woman getting a nose job to getting her breasts cut off under the rationale that she’s really a boy and admitted she’s unfamiliar with the sexually explicit books Raichik is trying to “ban” from schools‚ among several other things. At the 3:30 mark‚ a mask-clad Lorenz asks Raichik if she is responsible for the hateful comments that get posted in response to her Twitter posts‚ “I know you have a very conservative fan base‚ and in your comments sometimes‚ you’ll see a lot of commentary about‚ sort of‚ the Great Replacement Theory. What are your thoughts—what are your thoughts on that?” Raichik answered Lorenz’s question with a question of her own‚ “What are your thoughts on the comments on your post telling me to kill myself?”     Lorenz said such comments were horrible‚ but didn’t seem to get that Raichick was trying to get Lorenz to apply her own standard to herself‚ “So are you saying that‚ like‚ somebody posts something then attacks follow‚ that person should answer for those attacks?” Raichik replied‚ “No‚ that’s not what I’m saying. People like you tell me that all the time‚ so I’m just asking you if you think the same thing. About a minute later‚ the conversation shifted to how gender ideology affects minors and the physical procedures that are done in the name of affirming their identity. After Raichik asked "So a kid should be able to cut off their breasts if they think they're boys‚" Lorenz claimed‚ “My feeling is that I believe in personal liberty. I grew up in a town where a lot of people‚ for their middle school graduation‚ women got nose jobs. I know someone who got a boob job at age 14‚ and I guess I struggle to understand the criticism when there’s certainly no criticism of that sort of thing.” Correctly not seeing the two as the same‚ Raichik asked‚ “So‚ you’re comparing a boy being allowed to chop off his penis to a teenage girl getting a nose job?” Lorenz doubted such things actually happen‚ but Raichik claimed that she has been told directly by hospitals that they do perform hysterectomies for 16-year olds. As an aside‚ even PolitiFact was forced to admit that there have been cases of 14-year olds receiving so-called masculinizing chest surgery. Later‚ at 29:02‚ Lorenz returned to the idea‚ “I mean‚ women ascribe to certain gender things. You see women getting boob jobs to affirm their gender. I mean‚ we’re in Los Angeles‚ you see this kind of gender—" Raichik‚ again replied‚ “So‚ again‚ you’re comparing boob jobs and nose jobs to people buying into the lie that they could change their sex?” At 8:50 on the subject of books‚ Lorenz asked‚ “I was just curious‚ how many have you read?” Raichik replied that she’s read Gender Queer‚ This Book is Gay‚ Flamer‚ My Shadow is Pink‚ It Feels Good to be Yourself‚ and “so many more.” Several minutes later‚ at the 44:25 mark‚ Lorenz could not say the same‚ “I have not read those books‚ so I don’t know‚ but I do think that it’s important to educate kids about sexuality.” At one point‚ Raichik showed both Lorenz and the camera the oral sex  cartoons in question‚ to which Lorenz claimed that context matters and Raichik countered that there is no context in which such images are appropriate to show children. Back at 26:25‚ Lorenz was wondering what Raichik has against transgenders. If transitioning makes people happy‚ what’s the big deal‚ she wondered. She also wondered‚ “What would happen to them?” if Raichik succeeded in her mission against transgender ideology. For Raichik‚ it is a matter of truth‚ “First of all‚ the whole trans—it’s based on a lie. You can’t change—you can’t change your gender.” As someone who writes for the paper that claims democracy dies in darkness‚ Lorenz should know that truth‚ for its own sake‚ matters. No matter how many times Lorenz claims that chopping off a young girl's breasts is the same as a nose job is the same thing‚ it will never be true.

A Las Vegas stepmother faces up to 18 years in prison for failing to stop her husband from torturing six children – who were locked away in dog cages. Amanda Stamper‚ 33‚ was previously indicted on seven counts of felony child abuse and neglect by a grand jury in Clark County. In December‚ Stamper pleaded guilty to three felony counts of child abuse‚ neglect‚ or endangerment.On Thursday‚ Clark County District Court Judge Nadia Krall sentenced Stamper to serve between seven and 18 years in prison for failing to protect children from horrific abuse. Before being sentenced‚ Stamper told the courtroom‚ "I'm embarrassed to be here. I know I should have done something sooner. I do take full responsibility for it. I was not in the best situation either‚ and I was scared."Stamper was a sex worker and worked as a pimp for her 32-year-old husband‚ Travis Doss. Police said Stamper failed to prevent her wannabe rapper husband‚ known as "Trap Montana‚ from brutally abusing the children – ages 2 to 11. Authorities said Stamper only blew the whistle on the appalling child abuse after she learned that her husband had been cheating on her. Stamper only contacted authorities after she reportedly sent Doss nearly 100 text messages that went unanswered by her husband. Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Dena Rinetti noted that it was evident that it "was all about her and it was never about children.""Every single day the defendant failed to protect her six stepchildren‚" Rinetti added. "Her actions and her inactions will affect these children for the rest of their lives."Rinetti said Doss locked up one of the children in a dog cage for five days while starving him. The child was reportedly severely malnourished.As Blaze News previously reported‚ police bodycam video exposed the ghastly conditions that the kids were subjected to. The police bodycam footage from June 2023 showed two children locked in dog cages as the other minors were left alone inside a one-bedroom motel unit. KLAS-TV reported that many of the children were covered in bruises and extremely malnourished. Doss even texted a photo of one of the children appearing to be dead and told Stamper that he had killed the boy. The child turned out to be alive. Stamper claimed she was a victim of her husband and was terrified to report the child abuse. Rinetti argued that if Stamper truly felt that she was in danger‚ she had access to a vehicle and opportunities to leave the home and call police or Child Protective Services. The grand jury indicted Doss on 38 felony counts of child abuse‚ two counts of first-degree kidnapping‚ one count of sex trafficking‚ and one count of living off of the earnings of a prostitute. Stamper is the alleged victim of the sex trafficking accusations. At the time of his arrest‚ Doss had an active warrant for aggravated assault committed in South Carolina‚ according to North Myrtle Beach Police. A Florida man and woman have been charged with murder after a man was found dead in an alleged sex-for-hire scheme to steal a vehicle that went fatally wrong‚ according to police. Jessica Long‚ 37‚ and Michael Montgomery‚ 47‚ were charged with murder for the deadly incident that unfolded on June 27‚ 2023. Montgomery is facing additional charges‚ including parole violation‚ resisting arrest‚ and aggravated battery.Police found the dead body of 40-year-old Wayne Barlow on the side of the road in Marion County‚ Florida.The Marion County Sheriff's Office noted that the death appeared "suspicious." Barlow had been shot in the head‚ strangled‚ and suffered from blunt force trauma‚ according to the Fifth District Medical Examiner’s Office.Investigators allegedly found text messages between Barlow and Long discussing plans to meet in a wooded area to engage in sex‚ according to an arrest affidavit. Barlow reportedly told the woman that he would pay for the sex‚ and he sent Long $80 through the Cash App. Long gave Montgomery a "signal" that meant "it was time to go ahead with the plan‚" according to the affidavit. The plan reportedly was for Montgomery – said to be "the muscle" in the heist – to strongarm Barlow while Long was having sex with the unsuspecting Florida man‚ and the pair would then steal his car.Barlow met Long in a secluded area of the Regal Park neighborhood of Ocala. However‚ the alleged car theft went awry in a deadly way. "Montgomery then pulled Barlow from the vehicle and assaulted him with a pipe-like object‚" the Marion County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Wednesday. "Witnesses reported that Montgomery tried to run over Barlow‚ then approached and shot him.""Make sure he's dead‚" Long said‚ according to the affidavit.The couple allegedly went to a nearby Family Dollar to buy bleach and other supplies to clean up. WOFL reported‚ "Deputies also found trash in a dumpster behind the Aquatic Center in Ocala that contained a towel with suspected blood on it‚ paperwork with Barlow's name on it and a black C02 BB Gun pistol – a replica of a real handgun – with a grip missing. That grip was found near Barlow's body."Deputies later found a black and silver Phoenix Arms .22 caliber handgun roughly 30 feet from where Barlow's body was found‚ according to police. The arrest affidavit stated‚ "Montgomery advised that things did not go according to plan." Montgomery allegedly took part in the violent car robbery for free drugs and sex. "Montgomery advised he took part in the attack on the victim for a couple reasons and those reasons were for free drugs and for sex he didn't have to pay for‚" the affidavit noted.According to arrest records‚ Long was previously arrested for grand theft‚ resisting arrest‚ prostitution‚ and drug possession.Long and Montgomery are both being held at the Marion County Jail without bond.
