A new poll found that a majority of American voters support a federal ban on Communist Chinese government-tied TikTok. Lawmakers and experts have increasingly called for a ban of the hugely popular TikTok app due to its privacy and national security risks. Fifty-four percent of voters support a TikTok ban‚ a new Scott Rasmussen (RMG Research) poll published on The Daily Signal found. The number supporting the ban increased to 58 percent when those polled were asked “if TikTok could be used by [the] Chinese government to interfere in U.S. elections.” The Daily Signal published the poll results from Rasmussen on Dec. 21. Even as young adults increasingly use TikTok for their news consumption‚ Americans are waking up to the app’s dangers. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) owns a board seat and maintains a financial stake in TikTok’s parent company ByteDance. The poll results were also broken down based on age. Sixty-nine percent of respondents aged 65+ “somewhat” or “strongly favor” banning TikTok‚ along with 60 percent of those aged 55-64. Fifty-seven percent of respondents aged 45-54‚ 38 percent aged 35-44 and 43 percent of those 18-34 support banning TikTok too. The Daily Signal quoted The Heritage Foundation Tech Policy Center director Kara Frederick warning‚ “From logging keystrokes to laundering pro-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) narratives to U.S. audiences‚ TikTok—via its Beijing-based parent company ByteDance—exposes Americans to a host of abuses by the Chinese government.” TikTok has come under fire recently after the platform promoted anti-Israel and pro-terrorism content‚ The Daily Signal noted. Forty percent of poll respondents agreed that TikTok is “being used to promote divisive content about the war between Israel and Hamas.” A further 55 percent of respondents supported government action against individuals who call for Jewish genocide or promoted terrorist group Hamas online. The app even boasted about removing 500‚000 videos with content related to the ongoing Hamas-Israel war. Conservatives are under attack. On Tuesday‚ CNN reporter Katelyn Polantz gave several reports about a worrying new story: a wave of terrifying violent threats against the Colorado Supreme Court judges whose ruling removed Donald Trump from the state’s ballot. There was just one problem. Polantz herself was forced admit repeatedly that‚ “no specific threats” actually had been made‚ and the story essentially amounted to a handful of feds combing through social media sites for somebody to arrest. CNN’s reporting on this non-story was reminiscent of those clickbait pieces where the actual body of the article itself debunks the intentionally eye-catching headline. During the 11 a.m. Eastern hour of CNN News Central‚ for example‚ co-anchor Sara Sidner teased Polantz’s report like this: And still ahead‚ the serious threats that are being made against the Colorado justices who ruled last week that Donald Trump could not be on Colorado's state ballot. Now‚ the FBI is stepping into the fray. Wow‚ serious threats? Into the fray? Sounds like a bloodbath. Then came the actual report: That [court decision] led to what we understand‚ on Thursday‚ was a situation where the Denver Police had to go to one of the Justices’ homes because of what they call a ‘hoax report’ that was made. And since then‚ there are the names of the Justices on the Colorado Supreme Court being discussed on far-right pro-Trump websites...So‚ no specific threats at this time that are requiring law enforcement to make arrests that we know of. But this is a climate where there are many‚ many people making general threats and using violent rhetoric around public officials.     So to summarize: there was a “hoax” threat according to law enforcement‚ there are websites where people are referring to the Justices by their actual names‚ and “no specific threats” have been found. Kind of different from what Sidner was selling us in the lead-up to the segment‚ when you think about it. That was how it went every time: an overwrought teaser‚ followed by a report that failed to deliver the goods. Polantz did mention that some wing nut on an unnamed website (which the entire media are describing only as a “far-right pro-Trump website‚” so probably 4chan)‚ had written “All f— robed rats must f— hang.” Disturbing language‚ to be sure. But given the FBI are practically addicted to arresting right-wing internet tough guys‚ the lack of any arrests in this case is rather telling. Who knows‚ it’s possible some idiot will try to “take things into his own hands‚” like that Biden voter who flew across the country in the hopes of kidnapping and murder Justice Kavanaugh. But even if that does happen (though let’s pray it doesn’t)‚ that will do nothing to vindicate Sidner’s disingenuous framing of this story. Because as things stand now‚ the FBI have yet to produce a single actionable threat‚ and yet Sidner’s still out there flapping her arms and shrieking about “serious threats.”

The View Claims Republicans ‘Planted’ the Cocaine in the White House By July‚ the Republican super ninjas that got into Biden’s house were still on the loose and now they managed to sneak into the White House and “planted” cocaine.” Again‚ it was Hostin who floated the conspiracy. ““Maybe it was planted‚ or do I sound paranoid?” she said. Behar declared it “one of the many tragedies this summer due to climate change” and insisted that Trump and Republicans writ large were directly to blame for the weather: “But when I hear Republicans say‚ ‘Oh‚ it's not man-made. It’s not about fossil fuels.’ You know‚ when Trump was president‚ all of that went up – the fossil fuel usage went up.” The View Scoffs at Biden Impeachment Probe‚ Accuse McCain of Crimes In their most recent conspiracy theory‚ Navarro seemed to accuse former cast member Meghan McCain of trading on her family name in the same way that Hunter Biden did‚ which led to corruption allegations. “Look‚ did Hunter Biden influence peddle on his last name‚ yes‚ he did. So‚ did half of Washington. People sitting at this table did it‚” she said. “I'm not talking currently.” Upon learning of the allegations leveled against her from an ABC News property‚ McCain threatened to sue them.

Members of an unidentified family traveling to visit a relative in San Diego for the Christmas holiday made a grisly discovery in the relative's freezer: a body that was already greatly decomposed.The out-of-town family members had gathered at a relative's house on Zion Avenue in the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego‚ about 10 miles northeast of downtown‚ police said. It is unclear who the family members are‚ where they came from‚ or when they arrived at the residence‚ but at 11:45 a.m. last Friday morning‚ they contacted police to say that they had discovered a body in a chest freezer inside the home."The body is believed to be female‚ but no other physical details such as age or race can be confirmed until an identification is made‚" said a statement from the San Diego Police Department.One of the difficulties in identifying the individual has been the fact that the body was so badly decomposed. Police could not even say for certain whether the person had sustained any serious injuries before death. Nicaragua's socialist regime has arrested another bishop as part of Nicaragua's crackdown on Catholics and the Catholic Church — perceived to constitute threats to Marxist dictator Daniel Ortega's stranglehold on power. Bishop Isidro del Carmen Mora Ortega was on his way to celebrate the confirmations of 230 parishioners on Dec. 20 in La Cruz de Río Grande when Marxist paramilitaries intercepted him and dragged him away. According to El Pais‚ the bishop's whereabouts remain unknown. Two seminarians‚ Alester Saenz and Tony Palacio‚ were reportedly detained with Bishop Mora on Wednesday. Bishop Mora apparently drew the ire of the regime‚ not only on account of his religiosity but because he indicated the previous day during a homily at the Cathedral of Saint Peter the Apostle that he was praying for Bishop Rolando Álvarez of Matagalpa‚ whom the regime has all but condemned to die in prison‚ reported the Tablet. "We remain united in prayer for the beloved diocese of Matagalpa‚" said Bishop Mora. "We pray for Bishop Rolando and for each one of you." For supposedly refusing to go into exile with five priests‚ a deacon‚ two seminarians‚ and hundreds of other critics of the Marxist regime‚ Bishop Álvarez was accused of "conspiracy to undermine national integrity‚" convicted of treason without being assigned legal representation‚ stripped of his citizenship‚ and sentenced to a 26-year prison sentence. Bishop Mora's arrest is the latest in a long series of attacks on Catholics and on Christian groups critical of the regime. While Catholic clergy once dabbled with leftist politics in Nicaragua‚ Pope John Paul II largely brought this flirtation to a standstill‚ stressing in 1980 that "an atheist ideology cannot be the guiding instrument of the effort to promote social justice‚ because it deprives man of his freedom‚ of spiritual inspiration‚ and of the strength to love his brother‚ which has its most solid and operative foundation in the love of God‚" reported the Catholic News Agency. The U.S. State Department indicated in a human rights report earlier this year that Ortega's regime has been credibly accused of "unlawful or arbitrary killings‚ including extrajudicial killings; torture and cruel‚ inhuman‚ or degrading treatment or punishment by prison guards and parapolice; ... arbitrary arrest and detentions; [holding] political prisoners; ... severe restrictions on religious freedom"; and a host of other ghastly crimes against the citizenry. The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom noted in its recent report that "religious freedom conditions in Nicaragua worsened considerably last year." Extra to freezing church assets and conducting arbitrary raids‚ beatings‚ disappearances‚ and church burnings‚ "the Ortega regime has also pressured the Catholic Church by hindering or preventing Church-affiliated organizations and services from operating‚" having closed over 3‚000 related nongovernmental organizations in 2022 alone. For instance‚ schools such as the Jesuit Central American University have been shuttered by the regime. Catholic television networks and programming have been banned and replaced with state propaganda. Radio stations operated by the church have similarly been shut down. Even Catholic processions are now verboten in public‚ especially on holy days such as Easter and the celebration of the Conception of Mary‚ regarded by Nicaraguans as a national saint. "In 2023 alone‚ 275 attacks were carried out. We can say this last year was the year with the most attacks against the Church during the recent five-year period‚" Martha Patricia Molina‚ a Nicaraguan lawyer and researcher‚ told El Pais. "176 religious men and women are not exercising their ministry in Nicaragua because they were expelled‚ prohibited from entering or sent into exile." Tens of thousands of Nicaraguans have fled the nation since 2018 to avoid Ortega's death squads‚ kangaroo courts‚ and various restrictions on liberty. An estimated 80% of the country's clergy and religious have left the country. It appears persecution under the Ortega regime has had an impact on American illegal immigration. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection‚ 370‚523 Nicaraguans were encountered crossing the U.S. southern border between January 2021 and November 2023. Those Christians‚ pro-democracy dissenters‚ and regime critics who do not voluntarily leave are frequently thrown out. The 1‚254-mile U.S.-Mexico border in Texas is the front line of a devastating humanitarian‚ economic‚ and national security crisis that is entirely self-inflicted. The Biden administration seems to care little for the astronomical costs associated with it. Americans are paying the price in dollars and lives. We cannot ignore the reality of the crisis. Fiscal year 2023 smashed the record of annual illegal border crossings‚ with 2.4 million illegal alien encounters. December 5 set a new single-day record of 12‚000 such encounters. But that historic Tuesday is fast becoming an everyday occurrence. It’s time for American citizens to wake up and realize the power of their vote to end this crisis. Those of us who live on or near the border have been warning the country for years that what happens at the border does not stay at the border. Every state is becoming a border state. Texas is doing its part in helping secure the border‚ and I applaud the state legislature for approving $1.5 billion in funding for border wall construction and policing. But we need the rest of America behind us. If Texas goes‚ then America goes. And things aren’t going so great in Texas. A recent report showed that Texas spent $6.6 billion to educate illegal aliens in Texas public schools during the 2022-23 school year. That was on top of $2.6 billion for security costs and another $1.7 billion for criminal justice costs associated with unlawful migration. Even as Texas continues to be overwhelmed by these costs‚ we are starting to see blue cities‚ such as New York and Chicago‚ realize the immense financial cost of their sanctimony and indifference toward the border crisis. Citizens and elected leaders are finally becoming outraged by the overwhelming burden of illegal immigrants in their communities. And while the actual monetary cost is massive‚ people are realizing there are other kinds of costs to consider‚ especially when it comes to the safety of their neighborhoods. A year-end report by Immigration and Customs Enforcement found that illegal immigrants arrested by ICE during fiscal year 2020 “had an average of four criminal convictions or pending criminal charges each.” After three years of permitting the crisis to worsen‚ who knows what these statistics might be today? But to ask the question is to attack the reigning narrative‚ so there isn’t much effort made to answer it. The astronomical number of border encounters is concerning by itself and even more so given the number of criminals and FBI terrorist watch-listers who have been apprehended at the border. It’s even more chilling to consider who might be among the “known gotaways‚” estimated to be around 1‚000 a day. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has already considered the possibility of Hamas terrorists taking advantage of the open southern border — as so many other terrorists‚ criminals‚ and military-aged males from enemy nations already have. When our border is breached by criminals‚ it’s border Americans who are overwhelmingly victimized‚ whether through actual violence and crime or through the fiscal and community burden thrust upon them. But the Biden administration doesn’t seem to care about border Americans. Instead‚ the administration has gone to court to block Texas from protecting its citizens with floating barriers and directed U.S. Customs and Border Protection to undermine security efforts. In fact‚ the Biden administration has sent a clear message to every American citizen‚ including upstanding legal immigrants like my own parents‚ that we are not the priority. Instead of securing our nation‚ our country’s leadership has allocated $113 billion in taxpayer funds to defend Ukraine. Meanwhile‚ medical care‚ housing‚ and support for America’s selfless veterans are taking a back seat to handouts for illegal immigrants. Perhaps the most devastating price is being paid in lives. The border crisis is a humanitarian crisis‚ and preventable deaths are a hallmark of the Biden administration’s mismanagement. Our open southern border has fueled a massive increase in drug and human trafficking‚ risking and taking countless lives across the nation. This past fiscal year‚ Border Patrol agents seized enough fentanyl to kill the entire U.S. population. And yet overdose deaths soared in 2022 as 109‚680 people died from fentanyl‚ painting a bleak picture for 2023 and beyond. The crisis is real‚ severe‚ and costly. We must elect officials who are strong border advocates‚ willing to both acknowledge and address the many facets of the open border crisis. It’s time for American citizens to wake up and realize the power of their vote to end this crisis. Recognize that Democrat politicians don’t put America or her people first and stop voting them into office. Citizens must take responsibility and force the necessary change to protect our nation.
