Greta Thunberg: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians
Published at 09:30
After the Hamas massacre of civilian Israelis in early October, the left's reaction has been to turn against Israel instead, as has climate activist Greta Thunberg and her Fridays For Future. In a debate article, Thunberg and the group now claim that Israel is engaging in genocide when the country strikes back against the terrorist group that hides among civilians and Israel does its utmost not to harm innocents in the Palestinian territories.
The massacre has exposed an unbridled anti-Semitism on the left that has long lain latent under the surface, and now Greta Thunberg and her movement are also showing their true left-wing extreme selves.

"Fridays for future has not been 'radicalized' or 'become' political. We have always been political because we have always been a movement for justice", writes Thunberg and Fridays For Future in a debate article in an attempt to smooth over the increasingly harsh criticism of the group and the brand is losing all its credibility.
Standing up for climate justice is based on caring about people and their human rights. As a movement for climate justice, it is a matter of course for us to stand in solidarity with Palestinians and all affected civilians.
It means speaking out when people suffer, are forced to flee their homes and are killed – for whatever reason. It is the same reason why we have always stood in solidarity with marginalized groups and their struggle for justice against imperialism and oppression, including Sápmi, Kurdistan, Ukraine and many others.
Furthermore, it says "that Hamas murdered Israeli civilians in a terrible attack cannot in any way legitimize Israel's ongoing war crimes" and that "committing genocide is not self-defense or in any way proportionate".
We as a Swedish movement also see that we have a responsibility to speak out because of the Swedish Armed Forces' cooperation with Israeli arms companies, which makes Sweden a part-financier of Israel's occupation and killing.
At the same time, they claim to be as outraged by alleged "Islamophobia" as attacks on Jews in the wake of the massacre.
“Silence is complicity. You can't be neutral in a genocide", is the concluding paragraph in the debate article.
In the past, it has also been claimed that Western media are "financed by imperialist governments that take a stand for Israel".
