4/27 Rock Hall of Fame Announces 2025 Inductees
Bad Company, Soundgarden and White Stripes will be inducted into the Hall in November. Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper and Outlast will also be inducted.
4/29 Mike Peters (The Alarm) Passes At Age 66
The Alarm’s singer and co-founder dies following a 30-year battle with blood cancer.
The Alarm are remembered for the ’80s college radio hits “Sixty-Eight Guns,” “Strength,” “Spirit Of ’76,” “Rain In The Summertime,” “Sold Me Down The River” and “Devolution Workin’ Man Blues.”
4/30 “Toxicity” Disappears
The System Of A Down’s ’01 album mysteriously vanishes from Spotify.
Fans hit social media with concerns as to why the album is no longer available. The removal is driven by unresolved licensing and distribution agreements.
However, the band’s top three songs are still displayed on Spotify — “Chop Suey,” “Toxicity,” “Aerials,” but the “Toxicity” album artwork is absent as well as any connection of those songs with the parent album
4/30 KoЯn Frontman Jonathan Davis Is On “Ghost Adventures”
KoЯn frontman Jonathan Davis is guest investigator on an episode of the supernatural series “Ghost Adventures” on Discovery Channel.
Davis is a guest investigator as the “Ghost Adventures” team experience a chain of chilling synchronicities and shocking paranormal activity at the historic Glen Tavern Inn.
“Ghost Adventures,” now in its 30th season, is a paranormal/reality television series that premiered in 2008.
The program follows ghost hunters as they investigate locations that are reported to be haunted.
5/1 New GN’R Drummer Makes His Debut
Guns N’ Roses kick off its 2025 world tour at Incheon, South Korea’s Songdo Moonlight Festival Park. The concert marks the band’s first live appearance with new drummer Isaac Carpenter, who replaced Frank Ferrer, the longest-serving drummer in GN’R’s’ legendary career.
5/1 Green Days Gets A Star
Green Day receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The band’s star is located at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard, near Amoeba Music.
“Green Day’s music has not only inspired generations but also served as the soundtrack to our lives,” offers Walk Of Fame producer Ana Martinez.
5/2 Puddle Of Mudd: Kiss The Machine
“There’s a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in this record,” notes frontman Wes Scantlin. “We wanted to mix and match different styles together, have fun, and just create something fresh. It’s all about pushing boundaries and breaking out of the same old vibe.”
Puddle Of Mudd formed in Kansas City in ’91. Scantlin is the only founding member still with the band.
5/3 Nothing More Tops The Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart
“House On Sand” marks the third #1 from Nothing More’s “Carnal” album. The track features I Prevail’s Eric Vanlerberghe. “Angel Song,” and “If It Doesn’t Hurt” were the first two #1s from “Carnal.”
