Reba Says She’s The Happiest She’s Ever Been Thanks To Fiancé Rex Linn: “I’ve Never Been Loved By A Man Like Rex”
It’s never too late to find love.
Reba McEntire recently announced that she was engaged to her boyfriend of five years, Rex Linn, who she met many years ago in 1991 on the set of Kenny Rogers’ The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw, and became friends then, though they did not become romantically involved until 2020.
During a 2020 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Reba talked about how kept in contact over the years:
“We kept in contact over the years, we both know the same people. So it was just like good friends getting back together and having dinner. Then we started texting and talking on the telephone and getting to know each other better during the quarantine.”
During the pandemic, the two shared a lot of FaceTime dates to get to know each other while the world was shut down, and found that they really enjoyed each other’s company. As the two grew more fondly of each other, they started a daily call called “Coffee Camp,” where they set aside a dedicated time beginning in March of 2020, where they caught up or just laughed about their days:
“It was a very special relationship, us getting to know each other without any physical aspect to it at all. We’d talk in the morning, we started ‘Coffee Camp’ while I was staying in Oklahoma … We haven’t missed a ‘Coffee Camp’ since March 16.”
The two are clearly a match made in heaven, with McEntire sharing earlier this year with Fox News Digital that the two are a “perfect union” certainly difficult to come by in the entertainment industry:
“Well, Rex and I get along in every aspect. He’s a better cook than I am, so I like that, for sure. We love Longhorns, we love the cowboy way of life, cowgirl way of life, and we both got into the entertainment industry.
He’s an actor. I’m a singer. I love to act. Now we act together. So it’s just the perfect union, absolutely. And we get along great. We do argue now. We argue a lot, but we have fun doing that too.”
And it sounds like Reba is looking forward to being a bride once again.
She recently sat down with People, and it sounds like engaged life is treating her well, as Reba explained that she has “never been loved by a man like Rex”:
“I’ve never been loved by a man like Rex Linn. Rex is a very tender-hearted man, and I just love him with all my heart. He’s a good guy. Real bashful though.”
She explained that she is happier now at 70-years-old than she’s ever been, and in fact, in a digital clip with people, she described herself as “deliriously happy.” It’s heartwarming to see someone like Reba, who has had all of the fame and success in the world over the years, find love and be so happy, especially in her golden years.
I have no doubt that she’s inspiring people of all ages with her love story, and it’s really sweet:
“I think I’m happier now than I’ve ever been in my life. It’s amazing. It’s wonderful being 70 and getting to do what I get to do at the level I want to do it.”
While it’s unclear when Reba and Rex plan to tie the knot, it sounds like they’re blissfully in love, and he’s certainly made Reba a very happy woman, and I’m sure that goes both ways.
Decades later, Reba continues to be a force in the industry, and it sounds like she’s equally content with her love life as she is her professional life, and that’s about all you can ask for.
