The right accommodations have the power to change someone’s life for the better. This was certainly the case for a cook who was told he can no longer work on his feet. And it’s also true for a young deaf girl named Kendyl Pool. She was born with malformations in her inner ears. This caused her to be profoundly deaf. As a result, she has been communicating through American Sign Language (ASL) since she was only six months old. Learning how to speak sign language has been vital for the now 10-year-old girl. That said, not everyone speaks ASL. For this reason, and more, having an alternative option can be amazing. Luckily, we have reached an incredibly point in the world of technology. Glasses are being made to give those who wear them real-time subtitles. Kendyl was lucky enough to get her hands on pair, and her reaction to them is everything.
