The Number One Singles of 1978: Sweet Sixteen

The Bee Gees had an astounding impact on the chart this year, thanks in no small part to the success of Saturday Night Fever (as well as brother Andy Gibb). The post The Number One Singles of 1978: Sweet Sixteen appeared first on Best Classic Bands.

Space shooter Wildgate is surging on Steam with brand new demo

As someone who's played one or two Blizzard games in my time, I've had my ear very close to the ground when it comes to Dreamhaven, Mike Morhaime's new developer and publisher. First came Sunderfolk, a playful co-op Dungeons and Dragons-inspired adventure that I can't recommend enough. Now, there's Wildgate, a fast-paced FPS game set in a vibrant, cartoon reimagining of space. With its release date finally being revealed at Summer Game Fest, a new open beta is live right now, and it's proving very, very popular. This Frankenstein build turns an Nvidia GeForce card into a mini gaming PC

This Frankenstein build turns an Nvidia GeForce card into a mini gaming PC

Mini gaming PC owners have typically had a choice: downsize and lose their graphics card, use an eGPU enclosure, or keep their rig large enough to plug their GPU in directly. This bizarre build, however, turns that logic on its head, integrating an entire PC into the chassis of an Nvidia GeForce graphics card instead. The end result is a Frankenstein monster that, in the end, isn’t really a GPU after all. Ripping apart an Nvidia graphics card to fit an entire PC inside it might have seemed impossible just a few years ago. However, the best mini gaming PC designs are now small enough to accommodate incredibly small motherboards, which can then squeeze into tiny spaces, such as this graphics card. Snag Warhammer 40k Gladius for free right now, but you don't have long

4X game Warhammer 40k: Gladius - Relics of War is free to keep on GOG right now, but you don't have long to snatch it up. So if you've got a hankering to explore, exploit, expand, and exterminate, now's the time to add Gladius to your library. This new AMD Ryzen gaming CPU isn't new at all, recycled from the Steam Deck

A new set of AMD Ryzen gaming CPUs are coming for handheld gaming PCs, but the story behind them is a little strange. The new AMD Ryzen Z2 A will be very familiar for gamers, based on the same chip found in the Steam Deck. Meanwhile, the new AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme will sit at the other end of AMD's Z2 CPU lineup for handhelds and mobile devices, with AI features enabled on top. These two AMD chips are focusing on two very different types of handhelds. The best handhelds can shift in focus from great battery life to serious power demands, and while the new Z2 A could be a good, low-powered option for budget devices, the AI Z2 Extreme unlocks dedicated AI hardware in a way that AMD hasn't done before in its handheld lineup. IO says James Bond games have been "one-note," but 007 First Light will fix that

Even with the prior knowledge that 007 First Light would be an origin story, the sight of IO Interactive's youthful James Bond was still a bit of a shock to the system. While there will of course be elements of a quintessential Bond, I was curious to know how this assassin-in-the-making would differ from the older versions we’ve seen on the big screen. After sitting in on IO’s Summer Game Fest showcase in Hollywood, I grabbed cinematic and narrative director Martin Emborg to get a profile on our baby-faced Bond, and also dug into gadgets, villains, and what sets First Light apart from not only past 007 games but also the Hitman experience. Big new Project Zomboid update makes maps much more varied and realistic

There’s a specific suburb in Muldraugh that I always use for a base; it’s the one between Cortman Medical and the trailer park, just south of the gas station and the church. It’s not because the houses are all on two floors, or because I often seem to find a working car there. It’s because the zombies themselves seem to stay away - it’s very lightly populated, and in Project Zomboid, the more alone you are, the better. But as much as safety, in Zomboid, I also relish unpredictability. It’s the not knowing that keeps The Indie Stone’s undead epic alive. With that in mind, the new Project Zomboid update for unstable build 42 is ideal. 9 Best Platformers Inspired By The Classics

Something you can say about a lot of great games is that they know their roots. We all have love for the classics, of course, but making a game inspired by those classics isn’t just about copying and pasting.

12 Saddest Backstories in My Hero Academia, Ranked

One anime trope that remains constant throughout the majority of any series is the tragic backstory of a character. The protagonist was forced to overcome adversity during their early years to shape the person they are today, while the antagonist crumbled under the trauma they suffered.
