Former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr said this week that he believes the conviction in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s criminal case against former President Donald Trump is likely to be “overturned” because there was “no crime” committed. “I said from the very start that this was an abomination,” Barr said during an interview. “And I actually was surprised that they went ahead with the case because there really was nothing there. There was no crime there and they never were able to really articulate it until after the defense rested its case. So I thought the whole thing was a travesty. I wasn’t surprised by the verdict because the way the case was conducted, there was never really any discipline on trying to make the prosecutor establish what the elements of the crime were and what evidence he had to do it. It was just assumed from the beginning that there was some kind of Federal Election Campaign violation, which there wasn’t.” Barr warned that the case was damaging to political discourse in the U.S. and to the general health of the country. “This case is going to be overruled because there are just multiple errors and violations of constitutional rights,” he said. “This will be eventually overruled after the election. But what happens if there’s a close election and Biden squeaks through and then the case is overruled? Half the country is going to feel that this was a stolen election. And, you know, again, this is a grave injustice and disservice to the country.” He said that the gag order that the judge imposed on Trump should be lifted immediately and that Trump has every right to attack those who testified against him, the judge, the prosecution, and the case. The former White House physician for Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump says that a new report this week about how President Joe Biden is struggling to function behind closed doors represents a serious threat to the U.S. The remarks from Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) come after The Wall Street Journal reported that Biden has struggled so greatly at times that officials in private meetings with him have wondered if he is even awake. The report said that Biden did not know details about his own policies or the fact that the policies had been implemented in addition to forgetting negotiations that had already been solidified and making bizarre remarks to lawmakers. “The article’s just documenting what I’ve been saying all along: he’s not fit to be the commander in chief,” Jackson said. “He’s got significant issues, he shouldn’t have the job. You know, it’s a national security issue for us.” The Journal spoke with nearly four dozen individuals for its report, including Democrats and Republicans, leading Jackson to believe that the Left might be laying the groundwork to try to get rid of Biden. “I think that the fact that it came out like this, and is so well sourced, tells me that this might be the left’s first attempt to start laying the groundwork to get rid of him,” he said. Jackson served as WHMU director from March 2010 through December 2014. Jackson also served as the first chief medical advisor to the president from February 2019 until December 2019. Jackson now serves as the U.S. Representative for Texas’ 13th Congressional District.

Podcast giant Joe Rogan said this week that it was scary how Democrats are fine with destroying precedent and going along with a bogus criminal prosecution just so they can take out former President Donald Trump. Rogan made the remarks on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” on Wednesday while speaking to stand-up comedian, writer, and actor Tony Hinchcliffe. He noted the “kooky” times that everyone is living through right now and said that it was strange that there did not appear to be any “course correction at all.” “We’re being run by a dead man,” he said. “They’re trying to stop this other guy from even running, and they’re exposing how corrupt the democracy is. They’re exposing how corrupt the system is just by charging this guy with 34 felonies for paying off a lady he had sex with. Like, what?” “The way it was written, the way it was put in a ledger, it’s basically, in most situations, it would have been considered a misdemeanor, but they turned it into a felony,” he continued. “They trumped it up. They trumped it up — no pun intended. And then he signed like 34 different checks so there are 34 different counts. The whole thing’s crazy.” “What’s scary is how many Democrats are willing to allow this kind of stuff to happen. A lot of them are aware of it,” he later added.
