The Department of Justice refused to release the audio tape of Joe Biden’s disastrous interview with special counsel Robert Hur because it would allegedly spark numerous ‘deep fakes’ of the senile president. From The Hill: The Department of Justice (DOJ) pushed back against the release of audio recordings of President Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur, citing concerns that “deep fakes” could emerge. DOJ argued, in a Friday night filing, that if the audio were released, it could end up being altered and passed off as an “authentic” recording which would be shared widely.  “The passage of time and advancements in audio, artificial intelligence, and ‘deep fake’ technologies only amplify concerns about malicious manipulation of audio files,” according to the filing, first obtained by Politico.  “To be sure, other raw material to create a deepfake of President Biden’s voice is already available, but release of the audio recording presents unique risks: if it were public knowledge that the audio recording has been released, it becomes easier for malicious actors to pass off an altered file as the true recording,” the administration added in the 49-page filing.  DOJ officials also said the release of the audio “would harm substantial privacy interests.”  Their argument comes after Biden invoked executive privilege earlier this month to prevent House Republicans from obtaining the recordings of his interview with Hur, who oversaw the investigation into classified documents found in Biden’s private residence and former vice presidential office. A transcript of the interview was released to GOP House members before Hur’s public testimony in March.

The man accused of killing four women and dumping their bodies on Gilgo Beach in New York is expected to be charged with the murder of a fifth woman, according to multiple reports. The suspect, who is not being named by The Daily Wire, is expected to be arraigned on the new charge on Thursday, NBC New York reported, citing sources familiar with the investigation. The Suffolk district attorney’s office confirmed the court date with the outlet but didn’t specify the charge, and the sources didn’t say which victim it involved. The suspect’s attorney, Michael Brown, declined to comment on the reports to NBC, but said his client maintains his innocence. Vess Mitev, who is representing the suspect’s two adult children, doesn’t know what the district attorney will say on Thursday. “Just like the rest of us, we’re waiting to hear what the district attorney has to say,” Mitev said, according to NBC. “My clients, again, they’re going to take it day-by-day, minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour as the landscape shifts around them.” He added that his clients haven’t returned to the family home since police conducted a new search and that they stand by their father, no matter the charges. “If it’s one or 100, they are allegations and they are eager [to] have the legal process play itself out. The theory is based on the fact that the suspect’s family was out of town during the murders, suggesting he may have lured the victims to his home, a source involved in the investigation told the outlet. Four bodies were found within days of each other. The body of Barthelemy was found on December 11, 2010, during a police training exercise with a K9, according to a bail application obtained by the Daily Beast. Two days later, police searched the area and discovered the three other bodies. If convicted, the suspect faces multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole.
