President Trump To Participate In Town Hall With All-Female Audience, Here’s When

President Trump will participate in a Fox News town hall with an all-female audience next week. The event, moderated by Harris Faulkner, will be taped on Tuesday in Georgia and air next Wednesday, October 16th. Harris has agreed to attend a live town hall hosted by CNN on Oct. 23 after Trump refused to accept an invitation to debate the vice president on that day. While Trump has shown strength with male voters, polling has indicated the former president lags far behind Harris among female voters. Trump has repeatedly shrugged off the possibility that his coarse rhetoric or his role in the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade will hurt his standing among women. An ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted after the Sept. 10 debate between Trump and Harris showed the vice president leading by 9 percentage points among women, 53 percent to 44 percent. What do you think about his decision? pic.twitter.com/hnlN05cSnK — Conservative Brief (@ConservBrief) October 11, 2024 WSB-TV reports: According to a news release from the network, polls show that the No. 1 issues with women in this presidential race are the economy, abortion, immigration, and health care. “During the pre-taped one-hour town hall, Trump will discuss these concerns and others facing female voters as well as how he would address these issues,” the network said. Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, has made abortion one of her No. 1 issues throughout her campaign and has been to Georgia several times to emphasize her belief that abortion is a basic fundamental right.

JUST IN: Boeing Announces Massive Layoffs

Boeing announced it will cut approximately 17,000 jobs, which is about 10% of its workforce. #BREAKING: Boeing announced that it's cutting more than 17,000 jobs, or 10% of its workforce — R A W S A L E R T S (@rawsalerts) October 11, 2024 The airplane manufacturer will also delay the launch of its 777X wide-body planes until 2026. In addition to multiple federal probes, Boeing faces a factory strike. BREAKING: Boeing will lay off 10% of its workforce and stop 767 commercial production as the strike drags on. Here's what we know. https://t.co/xPV6ydXQ1v — The Seattle Times (@seattletimes) October 11, 2024 Per CNBC: The manufacturer will not deliver its still-uncertified 777X wide-body plane until 2026, putting it some six years behind schedule, and will stop making commercial 767 freighters in 2027 after it fulfills remaining orders, CEO Kelly Ortberg said in a staff memo Friday afternoon. Boeing expects to report a loss of $9.97 a share in the third quarter, the company said in a surprise release Friday. It expects to report a pretax charge of $3 billion in the commercial airplane unit and $2 billion for its defense business. In preliminary financial results, Boeing said it expects to have an operating cash outflow of $1.3 billion for the third quarter. “Our business is in a difficult position, and it is hard to overstate the challenges we face together. Beyond navigating our current environment, restoring our company requires tough decisions and we will have to make structural changes to ensure we can stay competitive and deliver for our customers over the long term,” Ortberg said. “We need to be clear-eyed about the work we face and realistic about the time it will take to achieve key milestones on the path to recovery. We also need to focus our resources on performing and innovating in the areas that are core to who we are, rather than spreading ourselves across too many efforts that can often result in underperformance and underinvestment,” he added. WATCH: Unexpectedly, Boeing pre-announces its third-quarter results, 17,000 layoffs, and a delay to its 777x entry into service until 2026. CNBC's Phil Lebeau has the breaking news. @timseymour @riskreversal pic.twitter.com/CVoSpiQn4f — CNBC's Fast Money (@CNBCFastMoney) October 11, 2024 From The Seattle Times: After a year of slow production following a panel blow out in January, Boeing was already in a weakened financial position when more than 33,000 machinists walked off the job on Sept. 13. As the strike nears its fourth week, there is no end in sight. Talks between the two parties broke down earlier this week, leading Boeing to withdraw its most recent offer. “We know these decisions will cause difficulty for you, your families and our team, and I sincerely wish we could avoid taking them,” Ortberg wrote to employees Friday. “However, the state of our business and our future recovery require tough actions.” Shortly after the strike began, Boeing began one-week furloughs throughout the company to preserve money as its factories sat quiet. Now, it will end the cycle of furloughs in November and reduce its workforce by 10% in the coming months, Boeing said Friday. The layoffs will affect all functions across Boeing, from executives to managers to employees. The company will share detailed information with workers next week, Ortberg said, as Boeing resets its “workforce levels to align with our financial reality and to a more focused set of priorities.” It’s not clear how the layoffs will affect the striking machinists. Boeing currently has 170,000 employees companywide, including 66,000 in Washington.

Walz Wants to Eliminate the Electoral College, But Sometimes Says He Won’t

ABC News Michael Strahan interviewed Tim Walz about his comments abolishing the Electoral College. Everyone knows it has  “got to go,” he said. That would be the end of our Constitution, but he apparently is okay with that. Walz said it’s not the position of the Kamala campaign. The truth is that the last time […] The post Walz Wants to Eliminate the Electoral College, But Sometimes Says He Won’t appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Elon Musk Announces Creation Of Autonomous ‘Cybercab’ And ‘Robovan’ Vehicles

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the development of two autonomous vehicles Thursday night in California, hailing the vehicles as the future of transportation. During an event called “We, Robot” in Burbank, Musk said that his company would be rolling out the “Robotaxi” or “Cybercab” and the “Robovan,” both of which would be fully autonomous vehicles. The Robotaxi will be a smaller vehicle with no pedals or steering wheel while the Robovan will be designed for public transportation or movement of goods. “We’ll move from supervised Full Self-Driving to unsupervised Full Self-Driving, where you can fall asleep and wake up at your destination,” said Musk, who arrived at the event in a Robovan. “It’s going to be a glorious future.” Robotaxi & Robovan pic.twitter.com/pI2neyJBSL — Tesla (@Tesla) October 11, 2024 Musk said that he had brought 50 fully autonomous vehicles to the event, which also highlighted his Tesla bot “Optimus,” which will be humanoid robots designed to help people with household chores and errands. When available for the public, the Robotaxi would cost customers around $30,000, according to Musk, who said he hopes to start producing them by 2027, CNBC reported. Musk said that the Robovan, which is still in development, would be able to hold up to 20 people. “Now can you imagine going down the street and you see this coming toward you? That’d be sick,” he said. “This can carry up to 20 people and it can also transport goods so you can configure it for goods transport within a city or transport of up to 20 people at a time.” Musk said he believed that the Robovan would increase safety and solve problems with heavy traffic in densely populated areas. “The Robovan is what is going to solve for high density,” he said. “So if you want to take a sports team somewhere or you’re looking to really get the cost of travel down to five, 10 cents a mile, then you can use the Robovan.” Musk said the products were part of his overall vision for innovation and technological advancement. “One of the things we want to do, and you’ve seen this with the Cybertruck, is we want to change the look of the roads,” he added. “The future should look like the future.”

Ex-CBS News Reporters Call For Network To Launch Probe In ’60 Minutes’ Scandal

Former CBS News staffers are calling for the network to launch an independent investigation into “60 Minutes” after the left-wing news program deceptively edited remarks made by Vice President Kamala Harris in an interview. “I think there should be an outside investigation,” one former CBS News journalist told the New York Post this week. “Obviously, there’s a problem here. If they care about journalistic integrity, they would conduct an investigation or release the full transcript.” They said the fact that Harris’ two responses to the same question were “so different” made it imperative that the network be transparent and release the entire interview. A source inside the organization told the newspaper that the way it edited Harris’ response was “biased.” “Their credibility has been called into question and their impartiality has been called into question,” the source said. “Don’t you need a full-throated review of what went wrong?” “The stakes are too high,” they added. “It’s a presidential election. Trump is asking for the transcript and journalists are asking for answers.” The controversy happened when host Bill Whitaker was discussing with Harris the United States’ financial support for Israel in its war against genocidal Islamic terrorists in the region. “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening,” Whitaker said to Harris. In a promotional clip that was posted by CBS News on Sunday, Harris responded to that statement from Whitaker by saying: “The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.” However, when the full interview was published by the network on Monday night, that statement from Harris was nowhere to be found. Those words were not included anywhere in the television broadcast, nor did they appear in the interview when it was posted on YouTube, the interview’s transcript, or the show’s “Overtime” segment. Instead, on television and in the interview posted online, Whitaker’s identical statement that “it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening” is followed by Harris saying: “We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

Trump’s Next Town Hall Will Have Only Women In The Crowd

Former President Donald Trump will appear at a Fox News town hall next week with an all-female audience. In a statement on Friday, Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner talked about moderating the town hall and said she looked forward to giving viewers more information about where Trump stands on a host of issues, The Hill reported. “Women constitute the largest group of registered and active voters in the United States, so it is paramount that female voters understand where the presidential candidates stand on the issues that matter to them most,” Faulkner’s statement read. “I am looking forward to providing our viewers with an opportunity to learn more about where former President Trump stands on these topics,” she added. Former President Trump to attend Fox News town hall with all-female audience https://t.co/hdOCtOaYLx — The Hill (@thehill) October 11, 2024 On the “Faulkner Focus,” Faulkner talked about the town hall and said that it’s essential that “voters understand where these presidential candidates stand on the issues, which they say matters most to them.” The Fox News anchor said the issues they will discuss will include the economy, abortion, immigration, health care, daycare, childcare, and more. “Members of the audience will put their questions to former President Trump…” Faulkner said. The town hall will be taped on Tuesday, October 15, in Cumming, Georgia, and will air the next day in the morning on the Fox News network, The Hill noted. The news outlet said it has also extended an invite to Vice President Kamala Harris for a similar town hall. No word at the time of this publication if she has accepted. On Wednesday, Fox News Media announced that it has offered the presidential candidates a chance to debate in Pennsylvania on either Thursday, October 24, or Sunday, October 27. The news channel said that Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum would moderate the debate. Neither campaign has agreed publicly to either dates so far. Harris did not agree to debate Trump on Fox News on September 4. The September 4 debate was initially scheduled to take place between Trump and President Joe Biden on ABC until Biden dropped out of the race following his disastrous debate against Trump on June 27. Two days after Trump and Harris met for the first time on the debate stage, the Republican nominee said he would not debate Harris again. Zach Jewell contributed to this piece. New $2 Million Ad Campaign Hits Kamala On Abortion In Battleground States

A pro-life political action committee launched a six-figure ad campaign on Friday that will highlight Vice President Kamala Harris’ radical abortion record in eight battleground states. The Women Speak Out PAC, a partner of SBA Pro-Life America, announced $2 million on a digital ad campaign in Arizona, Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Ohio targeting Harris. The ads come as Harris and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz have focused much of their campaign on promoting abortion. “Through this campaign, we are investing 2 million dollars in eight key battleground states across the nation to expose the truth of the Democrats’ pro-abortion extremism and educate persuadable voters about what’s at stake in this election,” SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser told The Daily Wire. “By November, we will reach 10 million voters overall – including four million visits to their homes to speak with voters face-to-face.” SBA Pro-Life America and its affiliates plan to spend some $92 million in total for the 2024 election cycle. “Kamala Harris is so focused on abortion that she is blind to everything else, including the real needs of women and the humanity of the unborn children,” Dannenfelser said. “She refuses to name a single limit on abortion, even in the seventh, eighth, and ninth months of pregnancy. Harris promises to federally force taxpayers to fund all-trimester abortions and cheers on politicians who shut down pregnancy centers that offer real choices and resources for women.” “Most Americans have reasonable views on abortion. Kamala Harris goes too far. Most Americans support parental notification. Kamala led the charge against it. Most Americans oppose taxpayers funding abortions in foreign countries. Kamala is for it,” a narrator in one of the digital ads says. Harris announced last month that she would be in favor of ending the filibuster, which requires 60 votes to advance most legislation, in order to pass a law creating a national right to an abortion. A second ad focuses on Toni McFadden, a black woman from Pennsylvania who had an abortion in high school. “Chris and I have built a loving family, but part of us is missing forever,” Toni says in the ad. “We got pregnant in high school. I was terrified. Planned Parenthood handed me drugs and sent me home. A month later, I started hemorrhaging. Vice President Harris, you call this freedom? Pushing abortions in the black community? If black lives really mattered, help moms and babies.” Abortion is also on the ballot this year in multiple states, including in states like Florida and Missouri, where leftist activists hope to enshrine abortion into state constitutions.
