Zach Bryan Releases Three-Song EP ‘Streets Of London’ – “Tunes That Didn’t Belong On The Record, So I’m Just Releasing Them”

Three new songs from the one and only… Zach Lane Bryan. Zach Bryan just got off a whirlwind ride across the pond. First, he played in Ireland, where he headlined a run of shows at Phoenix Park in Dublin. And then he headlined BST at Hyde Park in London, becoming one of just five acts to sell out the two nights in a row. But even amid the chaos of touring, ZB still managed to hit the studio. “Releasing a song Monday, hope you guys don’t hate it. Recorded it at Bowie’s old studio across the pond with my best friends, took this photo three years ago at Islington Assembly Hall where I got to sing with Turnpike last night, full circle is a ***** understatement.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Zach Bryan (@zachlanebryan) After sitting on the single for a little bit, ZB decided that one was not enough and fans needed more. The release was delayed by two days due to the addition of two other songs, “River Washed Hair” and “Song for You.”  ZB decided to release the other tunes because he loved them and wanted fans to enjoy them, but he felt like they did not have a home on any upcoming records or EPs he is working on. “They are kind of just tunes that didn’t belong on the record, and they didn’t fit on an EP either, so I’m just releasing them to get them out into the world cause I love them. Hope you guys enjoy them. I love each one of ya!! Even the folks who talked mad s**t all year.”  When ZB announced “Streets of London,” there was some speculation that it could be a cover of the 1969 song by English folk singer Ralph McTell. However, ZB did not cover that tune and instead shared a heartbreaking ballad with fans about how he adores visiting other countries, and he misses his “paradise” of Oklahoma. “The boys are breaking bottles out here on the streets of London The women here, they look like movie stars Things I’d do to be back in Oklahoma Kickin’ around at a hometown bar” As for the other two songs, Zach Bryan is engaging in self-reflection, particularly on “Song for You.” It appears that he’s digging deep and addressing the fact that some people have opinions about him that he feels do not accurately reflect his true nature. He touches on how he’s just an Oklahoma boy who got swept up in the music industry, but deep down, he’s still a person who wants folks to inquire about his personal life and get to know who he is beyond how he’s portrayed in the media. In the tune, it appears that ZB is reminiscing about a woman who saw him as Zach Lane Bryan, not the mega star Zach Bryan. While he knows that it might not be a love match, he appreciates the time they share together and feels seen by this woman. “Deep within my lower spine, I see you drinkin’ summer wine At a venue out in Dublin, back when I said nothing Wish I’d said then the things I’m thinkin’ now I wrote a song for you And all these people tellin’ me I ain’t what I used to be But you’ve known me since I was naive and twenty-three I could give a sh*t about what these people say I am I wrote a song for you And I feel like a kid again when you start askin’ questions About my mama, Oklahoma or the way I’m sleepin’ When they took the boy you knew, sold him for profit I had you in my arms last night, but I lost it” In “River Washed Hair,” ZB again reflects on moments from his past that he wishes he could revisit and change. The focal point of the tune is another love interest, perhaps the same woman from “Song for You.” As the moan from the steel guitar coats your ears, Zach Bryan delivers lyrics of how he did wrong in this relationship, and at times, he wishes he could go back and say sorry to her. He reflects on numerous good memories, knowing that they are now tarnished for her, but in his mind, he protects the good and is growing from the bad parts of this relationship. Each of these songs follows the formula for a Zach Bryan hit, but it appears that we are seeing a more mature side of Bryan in these songs. We see the homegrown Oklahoma boy who is proud of his roots, is trying to right his wrongs, and as always, thankful for the crazy life he lives. If ZB felt that these songs didn’t belong on another project he was working on, I’m eager to hear the caliber of that music. Country Fans Can’t Help But Notice That Zach Bryan Always Seems To Surprise Drop New Music On The Same Day As His Friends

Once could be a coincidence, but when it keeps happening? Zach Bryan surprised fans this morning when he dropped three new tracks, including “Streets of London,” “River Washed Hair” and “Song For You.” He had previously said that “Streets of London” would be dropping on Monday, after debuting the song at Hyde Park in London over the weekend. But when Monday came and went and the song wasn’t released, Zach then said that he would be dropping TWO songs instead of one, so he needed an extra day: “Decided to put two songs out instead of just one so it’s gonna take an extra day!! Songs’ll be out Tuesday. Sorry, sorry, sorry.” And then he dove into detailing why they are coming out now, and also why they won’t be on the new album: “They are kind of just tunes that didn’t belong on the record, and they didn’t fit on an EP either. So I’m just releasing them into the world because I love them. Hope you guys enjoy them. I love one of ya! Even the folks who talked mad s*** all year.” Well Tuesday also came and went with no new music. But this morning, fans woke up to not two but three new releases from Zach – which also happened to come on the same day as Tyler Childers dropped his much-anticipated new single “Oneida” from his upcoming album Snipe Hunter. Now, Zach Bryan has long been a Tyler Childers fan, one saying that the Kentucky native was “ten fold” the musician that Zach is, and calling out country radio when Childers scored his first-ever charting single last year with “In Your Love.” (He also took a shot at Walker Hayes and “Fancy Like” in the process, which ignited a whole other controversy). But anyway, surely it’s just a coincidence that Zach surprise released three new songs on the same day as one of his musical heroes, right? Except fans can’t help but notice that it keeps happening. As several people over on Twitter/X have pointed out, this isn’t the first time Zach has dropped a surprise release on the same day as his friends. Back when Charles Wesley Godwin released his incredible Family Ties album back in 2023, Zach surprised fans by dropping his new Boys of Faith EP at the same time. Zach responded to the criticism, saying that he didn’t know Charles was releasing his album on the same day and calling him “an insanely close friend.” “I did not know that Charles was dropping yesterday, he is an insanely close friend of mine and we do not talk music too often believe it or not If I would have known I would have waited you internet heroes truly know how to die for a cause and jump to conclusions yeah” Later that same year, we also got A Cat In The Rain, the highly-anticipated return album from Turnpike Troubadours, the first album the band had released since going on hiatus a few years ago. Zach has frequently cited Turnpike as an inspiration, especially since they’re both from Oklahoma, and even took them out on the road with him for his Quittin’ Time tour last year. But just two weeks before Turnpike dropped their album, Zach announced that he would be dropping his self-titled album on the same day, featuring duets with names like Kacey Musgraves, Sierra Ferrell and The Lumineers. Guess which album ended up getting more attention? Noticing a trend yet? Well then last year, Zach’s good friend and bandmate J.R. Carroll dropped “Hometown Hero,” the first single from his debut album, on November 8 – and the day before, Zach surprise released three new tracks. (Of course this was also the same day as his ex-girlfriend, Brianna Chickenfry, dropped her tell-all podcast on their relationship, so maybe that had something to do with the timing of his new releases…) Now, when you release as much music as Zach maybe it’s just hard to find a time to release new songs when one of your friends or heroes AREN’T releasing new music. But it just keeps happening, and at this point fans are starting to not-so-quietly wonder if it’s an ego play from Zach. Once could be chalked up to a coincidence. But at least four times now?The post Country Fans Can’t Help But Notice That Zach Bryan Always Seems To Surprise Drop New Music On The Same Day As His Friends first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Morgan Wallen Foundation To Send 35 Children From Underserved Communities In East Tennessee To Music Camp This Summer

Making dreams come true. According to WATE News6, Morgan Wallen has donated $15,000 in the form of a grant from his foundation, the Morgan Wallen Foundation, in order to send 35 children from underserved communities to a camp with specialized music and arts instruction. The Salvation Army Knoxville shared the news on Instagram, confirming that the $15,000 grant will fully cover the cost for 35 kids to attend Camp Paradise Valley this July, which is a camp and conference center owned and operated by the Salvation Army Kentucky and Tennessee Divisional Headquarters. “BIG NEWS! Thanks to a generous $15,000 grant from the Morgan Wallen Foundation, 35 local kids will get to experience the magic of Camp Paradise Valley this summer — completely free of charge! They’ll enjoy a week filled with fun, friendship, and specialized music & arts education, all while building confidence and lifelong memories. We’re beyond grateful to the Morgan Wallen Foundation for investing in the future of our youth here in East Tennessee.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Salvation Army Knoxville (@thesalvationarmyknoxville) Major Cameron Henderson, Area Commander of The Salvation Army Knoxville Area Command, says they are “incredibly grateful” to Morgan and his foundation for investing in East Tennessee and helping provide these opportunities for underserved children who might never experience something like this otherwise: “We are incredibly grateful to the Morgan Wallen Foundation for investing in the lives of young people in our region. For many of these children, this will be their first time attending camp and exploring music and the arts in such a hands-on way. It’s more than a week away—it’s a chance to discover their talents, build confidence, and just be kids.” It’s great to see Morgan using his platform and love for music to help bring a love of music to the next generation, and it’s certainly not the first time they’ve made big investments in the lives of those in his hometown and area. Of course, music is a life-changing thing, and it’s certainly going to be a week to remember for these kids who have a passion for music to have an outlet like this to learn so much more about it and hone their skills. The Foundation has done a lot of good for Morgan’s home state and causes that are near and dear to his heart, and in 2023, Morgan made a $35,000 donation to his alma mater’s music and baseball programs, and the next year, they gave $140,000 to renovate the Gibbs Youth Sports facilities. Last fall in the wake of Hurricane Helene which devastated east Tennessee and Western North Carolina, Morgan gave a whopping $500,000 to the Red Cross to help with recovery efforts. The country superstar is currently out on his I’m The Problem stadium tour, which will head to Miami next weekend for two nights at Hard Rock Stadium. 2025 I’m The Problem Tour Dates: June 20 // NRG Stadium // Houston, Texas w/ Corey Kent and Koe Wetzel June 21 // NRG Stadium // Houston, Texas w/ Corey Kent and Koe Wetzel June 28 // Camp Randall Stadium // Madison, Wis. w/ Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert July 11 // Hard Rock Stadium // Miami Gardens, Fla. w/ Gavin Adcock and Miranda Lambert July 12 // Hard Rock Stadium // Miami Gardens, Fla. w/ Gavin Adcock and Brooks & Dunn July 18 // State Farm Stadium // Glendale, Ariz. w/ Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert July 19 // State Farm Stadium // Glendale, Ariz. w/ Ella Langley and Brooks & Dunn July 25 // Lumen Field // Seattle, Wash. w/ Anne Wilson and Miranda Lambert July 26 // Lumen Field // Seattle, Wash. w/ Anne Wilson and Brooks & Dunn Aug 1 // Levi’s Stadium // Santa Clara, Calif. w/ Anne Wilson and Miranda Lambert Aug 2 // Levi’s Stadium // Santa Clara, Calif. w/ Anne Wilson and Brooks & Dunn Aug 15 // Huntington Bank Field // Cleveland, Ohio w/ Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert Aug 16 // Huntington Bank Field // Cleveland, Ohio w/ Ella Langley and Thomas Rhett Aug 22 // Gillette Stadium // Foxborough, Mass. w/ Corey Kent and Miranda Lambert Aug 23 // Gillette Stadium // Foxborough, Mass. w/ Corey Kent and Miranda Lambert Sep 4 // Rogers Centre // Toronto, ON w/ Gavin Adcock and Miranda Lambert Sep 5 // Rogers Centre // Toronto, ON w/ Gavin Adcock and Brooks & Dunn Sep 12 // Commonwealth Stadium // Edmonton, AB w/ Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert Sep 13 // Commonwealth Stadium // Edmonton, AB w/ Ella Langley and Brooks & DunnThe post Morgan Wallen Foundation To Send 35 Children From Underserved Communities In East Tennessee To Music Camp This Summer first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Iran Ends Cooperation With IAEA

Iran Ends Cooperation With IAEA

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian signed a law Wednesday suspending the country’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), ending the UN nuclear watchdog’s access to Iranian nuclear sites. The law is a response to the Israeli and American airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear program, which were intended to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran has been stockpiling highly enriched uranium since the 2018 American withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, an Obama-era deal limiting Iran’s nuclear program. This enriched material affords Iran the capacity to quickly “break through” and easily refine weapons-grade material. Nevertheless, U.S. intelligence reports have consistently found that Iran was not in the process of weaponizing their uranium stockpile. Iran on Saturday turned down a request from IAEA director Rafael Grossi to visit Iran’s nuclear sites. “Grossi’s insistence on visiting the bombed sites under the pretext of safeguards is meaningless and possibly even malign in intent,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on X Monday. The suspension puts into question Iran’s compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty, which requires that IAEA inspectors have access to signatories’ nuclear programs.  The post Iran Ends Cooperation With IAEA appeared first on The American Conservative.
