This 1940s Quiz Will Leave You Wondering How You Passed History Class

Start Quiz Bettman/Getty Images Bettman/Getty Images The 1940s in the United States were filled with fear‚ anxiety‚ and alien spaceships in the desert. It truly was an incredible time in American history. It is also a time that is slowly being forgotten. The further away we get from the decade that shaped modern America‚ the less we consider the truly massive impact the 1940s had on our culture.Source

DEI Cronyism and Woke Grifters

When ideology replaces meritocracy or provides immunity from the consequences of illegal behavior‚ systemic mediocrity follows.Under toxic National Socialism‚ Stalinism‚ and Maoism‚ millions of cronies and grifters mouthed party lines in hopes that their approved ideology would allow them to advance their careers and excuse their lawbreaking. The same thing has happened with the woke movement and the now-huge Diversity-Equity-Inclusion conglomerate.Grifters and opportunists mask their selfish agendas under the cloak of neo-Marxist care for the underprivileged or victimized minorities. Meanwhile‚ they seek to profit illegally as if they were old-fashioned crony capitalists.During the disastrous COVID-19 lockdown‚ Californias Democratic governor‚ Gavin Newsom‚ pontificated about leveraging the quarantine to ensure greater equality: There is opportunity for reimagining a [more] progressive era as it [relates] to capitalism . We see this as an opportunity to reshape the way we do business and how we govern.Meanwhile‚ Newsom did not seem very progressive when he was caught in one of Californias most expensive restaurants dining with sidekick lobbyists while violating the very same mask and social-distancing rules he had mandated for 40 million others.Newsom also bragged about social equity when he signed a new California law mandating $20 an hour for fast-food workerswhile many of his own employees at his various company-controlled eateries made only $16 an hour. And he allegedly gave a unique exemption from his wage law to one particular bakery/restaurant chain‚ Panera‚ one of whose franchisees is an old friend and major campaign contributor.Newsom apparently feels that the more progressively he postures‚ the less hell be called out for his own hypocrisy and self-interested agendas. In another egregious case‚ the now-imprisoned felon‚ Sam Bankman-Fried‚ may have been the greatest con artist in American history. He siphoned billions of dollars from his cryptocurrency company‚ destroying the fortunes of thousands when his multibillion-dollar Ponzi empire collapsed. How did Bankman-Fried and his two Stanford law professor parents manage to accumulate millions of dollars in resort properties and perks without getting caught until after their empire collapsed?Answer: Bankman-Fried showered millions of dollars on left-wing politicians to advance their progressive crusades. His parents justified this family giving as a form of effective altruism. That catchy phrase masked the reality that his crusade for social justice was just an incredibly effective get-rich-quick scheme. The Bankman-Fried family apparently reasoned that their devotion to this woke form of altruism would translate into riches for themselves‚ albeit bankruptcies for investors.Another example: In Georgias Fulton County‚ District Attorney Fani Willis ran for office‚ promising to indict supposed right-wing monster Donald Trump. She raised campaign money on her woke credentials. Often‚ when challenged‚ she played the race victim card.Meanwhile‚ Willis hired as a special prosecutor her secret paramour‚ the incompetent Nathan Wade‚ although he had never tried a single felony or even criminal case. She and Wade then went on expensive junkets. She claimed that she reimbursed him with cash that was‚ of course‚ unverifiable.Given their woke ideology‚ both assumed they were entitled to splurge at taxpayers expense‚ offer likely-false testimony under oath‚ and violate canons of professional behavior for lawyers. She wasnt alone in her corruption. After the death of George Floyd‚ the founders of the left-wing Black Lives Matter movement went on a house-buying rampage. The more corporations filled their coffers with millions‚ either from guilt or as protection money‚ the more new homes the directors purchased. One co-founder‚ Patrisse Cullors‚ a self-described Marxist‚ splurged by spending $3.2 million in BLM money to buy herself four upscale residences. And the most radical Democratic members of Congressthe so-called Squadapparently feel that the more they level accusations of racism‚ the more they can profit without fearing any consequences for their wrongdoing. One squad member‚ Rep. Ilhan Omar‚ D-Minn.‚ redirected $2.8 million of her offices allotted government money to her husbands political consulting company.Still another member‚ the radical leftist Rep. Cori Bush‚ D-Mo.‚ often harangued the country to defund the police. Now‚ the FBI is investigating her for stealthily paying tens of thousands of campaign dollars to her own husband for security.Woke and DEI activists may not necessarily be any more innately mediocre‚ corrupt‚ or conniving than other politicians and activists. But they seem so‚ because they loudly broadcast that they are for diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusionand thus assume themselves to be exempt from all scrutiny and free to profit in any way they please. The woke/DEI project is enticing thousands of shysters‚ careerists‚ and mediocrities‚ all keen to enrich themselves on the premise that they are noble fighters for social justice who deserve immunity from any scrutiny. How odd it is that America is wasting billions of dollars hiring DEI czars and electing woke politicians who so often accuse others of a multitude of sins‚ largely as a way of enriching themselves‚ hiding their own culpability‚ and making a mockery of the law.The Daily Signal publishes a variety of perspectives. US House Passes Bill Renewing Warrantless Surveillance Under FISA Section 702 Amid Privacy Concerns

If you';re tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties‚ subscribe to Reclaim The Net.Ignoring rising privacy concerns‚ the US House of Representatives gave the green light on Friday to a bill renewing the warrantless surveillance program under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)‚ Section 702‚ for the next two years. However‚ the vote witnessed the piecing together of conservative resistance that had stalled a prior chance at its approval. A shorter renewal period‚ as opposed to an initially proposed five-year term‚ was agreed upon in an attempt to win over Republican dissenters‚ culminating in a 273-147 vote in favor of the bill.Increasing distrust concerning governmental surveillance powers has been apparent of late‚ especially amongst some conservatives who want to see the Fourth Amendment protected. The Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution protects citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government.Disagreements over the potential framework for revamping the FISA spy program have resulted in divisions within the Republican party‚ evidenced by 19 members breaking away to block the legislation this week. However‚ an indication of support from previous objectors was given late Thursday. The legislation under review allows the government to gather foreign intelligence by monitoring the communications of non-US residents overseas without the necessity of a warrant. However‚ it has‚ despite assurances that it wouldnt happen again‚ been used to surveil US citizens. The renewal accompanies reforms designed to appease those who were concerned about potential breaches of Americans civil liberties. In an attempt to alleviate concerns‚ House Speaker Mike Johnson intends to introduce a separate proposal next week‚ aimed at addressing the loophole permitting the unwarranted collection of American citizens data from major tech companies.Even though the program is set to expire on April 19‚ the Biden administration anticipates its foreign intelligence-gathering abilities to remain effective for another year‚ due to a recent decision of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The post US House Passes Bill Renewing Warrantless Surveillance Under FISA Section 702 Amid Privacy Concerns appeared first on Reclaim The Net.

Hostin: O.J.s Acquittal Was Fine Because Cops Kill More Than He Did

Following the death of former football player and murderer O.J. Simpson‚ the dumb and racially charged hot takes from the cast of ABCs The View were inevitable. Of course‚ it was staunchlyracistandanti-Semiticco-host‚ Sunny Hostin(thedescendant of slave owners) who dredged up the unfounded racial aspects of the case applied by race-hustlers. She even argued that Simpsons acquittal was fine since‚ collectively‚ cops have killed more people than he did.According to Hostin‚ the case was less about his guilt or innocence in the brutal murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman‚ but rather about the system and how the system treated African Americans and continues to treat African Americans in this country.Despite the cases not being related in the slightest‚ Hostin insisted that a full context recounting of Simpsons trial must include what happened to Rodney King years earlier. You have to remember in putting it into context the acquittal of the officers who beat Rodney King almost to death in front of the world';s eyes was in 1992. This happened in 1994‚ she said.Hostin argued that for the black community‚ which she identified with‚ the Simpson trial was less about whether or not O.J. did it and more about using it as a stand-in for race relations in America. She went on to admit that Simpson may have got away with it‚ but police officers have killed many more people than O.J. Simpson. The race card was also played by faux conservative Ana Navarro‚ who recalled following the case as a law school student‚ saying: It was the first time I was confronted in my lifetime with the racial divides and the painful racial gaps in America.Navarro said she spoke with former CNN host Don Lemon about Simpsons death and trial‚ and he seemed to agree with Hostins take. And I do think‚ Don Lemon was saying to me yesterday‚ it was not about guilt or innocence‚ it was about race. It was so much about race‚ she recounted.Co-host Sara Haines injected a bit of sanity into the discussion by refocusing the conversation on to Simpsons two victims:HAINES: There were innocent people involved here and I';d like to take a moment them. Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman were brutally killed and murdered. And I think that the legal system failed Nicole over and over again. She had called 911 nine times‚ the crap beaten out of her‚ bloody in bushes and always released her domestic abuser.BEHAR: Who was O.J.HAINES: Yeah. I just want to not say his name like everyone is because I think the people we need to be focused on are Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman who were more than victims in this. She had kids. She was a beloved woman that missed out on major parts of her life. The Goldman family still longs for their son who was funny‚ kind‚ and outgoing. For whatever went on in the mess of this‚ my heart continues to go out for those families who lived beyond and without their loved ones‚ she said. The silence from Hostin was deafening. The transcript is below. Click ";expand"; to read:ABCs The ViewApril 12‚ 202411:03:00 a.m. Eastern()SUNNY HOSTIN: You know‚ I think it was less about his guilt or innocence and rather about the system and how the system treated African Americans‚ and continues to treat African Americans in this country. You have to remember in putting it into context the acquittal of the officers who beat Rodney King almost to death in front of the world';s eyes was in 1992. This happened in 1994. And I think for the black community‚ it was less about whether or not O.J. did it‚ because I think even today you';ll go to‚ you know‚ barber shops and beauty salons and people will say he did it‚ but he got away with it and the police officers‚ you know‚ police officers have killed many more people than O.J. Simpson.JOY BEHAR: Probably I think they didn';t trust that the police did not plant evidence because --HOSTIN: Well‚ Mark Furman said on the witness stand‚ I never used a racial slur.By the way‚ people‚ when a lawyer in cross-examination in a courtroom says‚ have you ever done this? they know that you did it.[Laughter]Right? And so then they come up with tapes and he';s using the ";N"; word like Christmas.BEHAR: But don';t you think some of the reason he got away with it was because he was famous not just that he was black?ANA NAVARRO: There were so many reasons. The prosecution had a lot of failures. And‚ yes‚ I think part of the reason that it';s so fascinating. Look‚ it';s fascinating because it was O.J. Simpson. He was a celebrity‚ he was rich‚ he was a successful athlete‚ we all knew who he was‚ and he was in car rental company commercials. But it';s one of these instances in American history where if you';re of a certain age‚ everybody remembers where you were the day that the verdict was read.HOSTIN: And when the Bronco chase was happening.NAVARRO: Everything.BEHAR: Well‚ it was covered extensively.NAVARRO: Like with 9/11‚ with the JFK death‚ with Challenger explosion.HOSTIN: Michael Jacksons death.NAVARRO: It reaches that level because I think it';s had such cultural significance. It launched so many careers. It changed the way we cover courts.HOSTIN: Camera were in the courtroom.NAVARRO: For me it was the first time and I know it sounds naive to a lot of people but I grew up in Miami in a bubble. I went to a school that was 98 percent Latina immigrant Catholic girls. It was the first time I was confronted in my lifetime with the racial divides and the painful racial gaps in America. And I remember watching it. I remember I was at the student union in law school and the black students were on side and the white non-blacks were on the other side. The black students erupted into cheers‚ the white -- everybody else was with jaws agape‚ and it';s something that still is happening in so many cases. And I do think‚ Don Lemon was saying to me yesterday‚ it was not about guilt or innocence‚ it was about race. It was so much about race.SARA HAINES: There were innocent people involved here and I';d like to take a moment them. She was a beloved woman that missed out on major parts of her life. The Goldman family still longs for their son who was funny‚ kind‚ and outgoing.BEHAR: He was really an innocent bystander.HAINES: They both were innocent.BEHAR: She was not a bystander‚ but HAINES: For whatever went on in the mess of this‚ my heart continues to go out for those families who lived beyond and without their loved ones.()

NPR Editor Blows the Whistle on Their Left-Wing Bias: MRCs Stephanie Hamill Reacts on The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show

MRC contributing writer Stephanie Hamill was a guest on The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show on Rumble with host Kimberly Guilfoyle on Thursday to discuss the latest trending news‚ including the latest scandal at NPR.Uri Berliner‚ Senior Business Editor for the public radio giant‚ has come out publiclyaccusing the broadcaster of left-wing bias‚ basically confirming what we already knew.Hamill: We all kinda knew they had a liberal slant‚ and theyve had one for many‚ many years. I remember back when I was in college‚ I used to listen to their content‚ and I thought it was moderately fair. I actually interned at PBS‚ so it is really fascinating to me to see this editor come out‚ who has worked their for 25 years‚ who actually still works there. Well see how long he will work their after he exposed whats going on there. The big issue here‚ is that our taxpayer dollars go to funding this source who claims that theyre unbiased and that there is no slant when clearly there is.

Tennessee GOP May Criminalize Helping ';Trans'; Kids Get Care Without Parental Consent

The fact that this is even something that has to be considered is absolutely berserk.Tennessee lawmakers are contemplating criminalizing adults who help children receive transgender care without their parents'; knowledge and consent. GOP senators advanced the legislation Thursday with a 25-4 vote and its on its way to the House.SB 2782states that any adult who recruits‚ harbors‚ or transports a child for the purposes of getting them transgender-related medical procedures without their parents'; knowledge or consent is guilty of a Class-C felony that carries a prison sentence of three to 15 years. In September‚ a federal appeals court upheld aTennessee banon gender-related medical interventions for children. This new bill takes it a step further and prohibits non-parental adults from ";helping"; gender-confused minors obtain harmful hormone therapies or irreversible surgeries in other states. As theAssociated Pressreported‚ this legislation is similar to a proposal that the Tennessee Senate approved on Wednesday that would criminalize adults from aiding and abetting young people getting abortions without parental consent. It seems that Tennessee is focusing intensely on its kids and how best to protect them from harmful treatments that cause irreversible damage. In response‚ the media had mixed reactions.NBC News routinely called these interventions care and insisted the bill came from one of the most eager states to enact policies aimed at the LGBTQ community.Independent LGBTQ Journalist Erin Reed called the bill extreme‚ while another user on X shared amapthat indicates where Tennessean adults can bring kids to get transgender treatment and would be shielded from any legal repercussions. On the other hand‚ some agreed that the bill was a good thing.Gender affirming care is child abuse‚ onewrote‚ while anotherinsistedthis sort of thing should be in every state‚ writing‚ Any doctor who cuts off healthy body parts of a minor should be thrown in prison.";Related:WIN! Court Upholds TN &;amp; KY Bans on Transgender CareThis new proposal is just one in a litany of ways Tennessee lawmakers have cracked down on progressivism targeting children. Theyve worked to keep drag away from kids‚ to protect teachers who dont wish to affirm a childs delusional identity‚ and have given parents a choice as to whether or not they want their children to be present for particular lessons in school.Time will tell if the state House‚ like the state Senate‚ will approve of this proposal.Follow us on Twitter/X:In what world does trying to be an OnlyFans star do anything to honor a deceased grandfather?@tierin_rosebreaks down the left';s latest insanity in this week';s Woke of the Weak!pic.twitter.com/mvUFDdwPCb MRCTV (@mrctv)April 9‚ 2024
