If there’s one person who might not be the best to listen to when it comes to your finances, it’s CNBC’s Jim Cramer. In fact, it's gotten so bad that he’s become a walking meme. However, he did say one thing that many on the right will agree is right — though it totally contradicted something he said just moments before. “If you care about your paycheck, you go with Trump,” Cramer boldly asserted, adding, “That’s what you do.” Cramer had just been praising the “business people” surrounding Harris, explaining that Biden didn’t have as many surrounding him. “So, this is a nice change of pace. There’s a lot of business people surrounding Harris,” he said before he immediately changed his own pace and said people who vote with their wallet should vote for Trump. Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” isn’t surprised — but is amused. “He’s completely changed his tune,” he says, laughing. Keith Malinak is shocked that it happened so fast. “Yeah, but right there in the setup to that, he was like, ‘Oh, look at all these business people surrounding Harris, that’s good,’” he says. “Even in the same discussion he contradicted himself. Literally, the same breath,” Gray adds. A California man was arrested for a violent sexual assault of a minor, and he has a long criminal past, said police. The victim was so severely injured in the attack that they were taken to a children's hospital for surgery. 'When you take the innocence of a young minor like that, you're a monster.' Chowchilla police and the Madera County Sheriff's Office performed a search at the residence of 40-year-old Arthur Dean Knapp, who was arrested for charges related to the alleged assault that occurred on Thursday. "To do something like this, he's absolutely a monster. When you take the innocence of a young minor like that, you're a monster," said Jeffrey Palmer, the Chowchilla chief of police. "He is a dangerous person and quite honestly after this, he is somebody that should never be out on the streets," he added. Knapp is facing charges, including rape, assault, and attempted murder. Police said he had a long criminal past including a conviction in 2019 for domestic violence. He was sentenced to six years in prison, and then in 2021, was sentenced again to six years in prison on charges that included assault. Knapp was on parole when he was arrested for the new charges. Madera County District Attorney Sally Moreno told KFSN-TV that laws had grown lenient over the last decade but that she would make sure that Knapp was prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law once the investigation is completed. Palmer asked the community to avoid trying to find the victim's identity out of respect for their privacy. "We're now having to talk about a young victim who is going to have to put their life together and they don't need everybody asking on social media who this victim is and quite honestly violating their rights of privacy," he said. Following the announcement of the company's Q2 results on Tuesday afternoon, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman spoke to shareholders and answered questions in an earnings call. As noted by Engadget, Huffman teased a few new features that we might see on the platform in the coming months, including paid subreddits and AI-powered search results. At one point, Huffman was asked about how he plans to protect the culture of Reddit while also making money for the company's new shareholders. "I think the existing, altruistic, free version of Reddit will continue to exist and grow and thrive just the way it has," Huffman said after explaining that new features haven't cannibalized the platform in the past. "But now we will unlock the door for new use cases, new types of subreddits that can be built that may have exclusive content or private areas, things of that nature." While Huffman did not specifically mention paying to access subreddits, it's easy to extrapolate. For instance, what if you could pay to access a subreddit with exclusive news about your favorite band, creator, or influencer? Maybe something similar to Instagram subscriptions? It sounds like it's just a matter of time before this becomes a reality. In his opening remarks, Huffman also revealed that AI-powered search results are coming. "Later this year, we will begin testing new search result pages powered by AI to summarize and recommend content, helping users dive deeper into products, shows, games, and discover new communities on Reddit," he announced. That's quite a vague summary of how AI search will actually work on Reddit, but we won't have to wait long to see how the company implements it.
