Study reveals you and your dog may be more alike than you realize

Have you ever felt like your dog understands you better than anyone else? It’s not just your imagination. While we’ve long turned to the stars and various personality tests to understand ourselves‚ it turns out the best reflection of our dominant traits might have been wagging its tail beside us all along. Hawley Reveals ‘Real Truth’ Behind Biden’s Hypocrisy on TikTok Ban

One GOP senator argues that President Joe Biden could have banned the communist Chinese government-tied TikTok‚ but chose not to do so for personal reasons. The debate about banning TikTok continues to rage as legislation has gone to the Senate. Biden said he would sign the legislation‚ yet continues to use TikTok and have TikTok influencers helping his campaign. Indeed‚ Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) told 97.1 FM Talk’s The Marc Cox Morning Show Podcast that he doubts Biden will sign the legislation. “They think that their voters are on TikTok‚” Hawley declared‚ referring to Democrats. “The real truth is Biden could have banned it‚” Hawley said‚ as reported by Audacy‚ the publisher and parent comapny of 97.1 FM. “Trump tried to ban it when he was president. Biden has had years now to act. He hasn’t done it.” Biden is using the app for his Basement 2.0 campaign in 2024. “In fact‚ Biden is on TikTok‚ and the reason is the Democrats secretly love it‚” Hawley added. On Thursday‚ MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider pointed out the same hypocrisy in an X post. “Joe Biden just posted his 92nd TikTok video after banning 4 million federal employees from using it‚” Schneider wrote. Meanwhile‚ Hawley explained the security risks of allowing TikTok to operate in the U.S. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) owns a board seat and maintains a financial stake in TikTok’s parent company ByteDance. A 2023 lawsuit alleged that a “backdoor” through ByteDance enabled the CCP to access U.S. user data. Hawley evidently believes that allegation. “Whatever the problem is‚ it’s a backdoor for spying by the Chinese Communist Party‚” he exclaimed during the radio interview. A U.S. company should buy TikTok to mitigate the security risks‚ Hawley insisted. “ByteDance‚ the parent company‚ would either have to sell TikTok or else if they don’t sell it‚ then they’d have to shut it down. We can argue about‚ you know‚ the exact details of the bill and is it written precisely the correct way? But I think this is the right thing‚” the senator added. Conservatives are under attack. Reid Asks Why White Women Don't View Pro-Lifers As White Supremacists

Reid Asks Why White Women Don't View Pro-Lifers As White Supremacists

MSNBC’s Joy Reid claims to have no problems with hearing Republican points of view‚ but when it came to discussing abortion on Wednesday’s edition of The ReidOut‚ she instead welcomed two Democrats‚ strategist Juanita Tolliver and former Sen. Doug Jones‚ to wonder why white women vote for Republicans because pro-lifers are a bunch of white supremacists who view them as vehicles to avoid “race suicide.” A confused Reid declared “the sort of trick that has been difficult to get her out how to untie this knot‚ Juanita‚ which is that‚ you know‚ white women on a majority‚ do vote Republican even in states where they’re voting away their reproductive rights. I think about Georgia where they voted for Brian Kemp and his six-week abortion ban and so it's like‚ what will unlock that fealty that white women have to it.”     When Reid wants to learn about pro-lifers‚ she turns to the lefties at Slate‚ “I read this thing in Slate that talked about the origins‚ the white nationalist origins of the anti-abortion movement. It says the following in Slate‚ ‘In the late 19th and early 20th centuries‚ the movement against abortion mainly included white supremacist who pointed to declining white birthrates believed that legalized abortion would mean race suicide for white Protestants.’” Not only is the pro-life movement larger than white Protestants‚ it is telling that Reid’s desire to project the 19th century on to 2024 only extends to pro-lifers and not her white male‚ former Democratic senator from Alabama guest. Finally getting to a question‚ Reid asked Tolliver‚ “You still look at it and you don't think they want you and me to have more babies. I don't think they want Latinos to have more babies. How do they get the message to white women that they are the target and should vote accordingly?” Tolliver’s solution was to break the scale on the freak out meter‚ “And we saw white women have a wakeup call when IVF was on the table and that is something that I think when we understand how this is going to impact IVF. Even the list that you had put up from the Heritage Foundation report for 2025‚ it included same-sex relationships as well.” In the 920-page document that is Heritage’s Project 2025‚ the term to “same-sex marriage” appears only twice. Once is to note that same-sex marriages‚ on average‚ last less than half that of heterosexual marriages‚ which is noteworthy for adoption placements and the second is that people should be protected against having to do things such as bake a cake for a same-sex wedding if they object. However‚ Tolliver rolled right along‚ lamenting that Heritage does not care for the left’s abortion euphemisms‚ “This is not isolated and it won't focus exclusively on abortion or reproductive rights‚ it is expansive and the other thing that came out of that Heritage report that is a sign of them going too far‚ as Doug Jones mentioned‚ is they literally want to delete the language from the books. I'm talking about deleting abortion from federal regulation. Deleting the phrase ‘reproductive rights.’ Deleting DEI‚ all of it.” Eventually‚ Reid returned to implore viewers to “Watch The Handmaid’s Tale‚ as much of it as you can stand. That's what they want to do and by the way‚ you know how it's not about babies? They are trying to kill Head Start‚ which is for the babies.” Nothing like a good old-fashioned non-sequitur to end the show. Here is a transcript for the March 27 show: MSNBC The ReidOut 3/27/2024 7:48 PM ET JOY REID: The thing is‚ the sort of trick that has been difficult to get her out how to untie this knot‚ Juanita‚ which is that‚ you know‚ white women on a majority‚ do vote Republican even in states where they’re voting away their reproductive rights. I think about Georgia where they voted for Brian Kemp-- JUANITA TOLLIVER: Right. REID: -- and his six-week abortion ban and so it's like‚ what will unlock that fealty that white women have to it. I read this thing in Slate that talked about the origins‚ the white nationalist origins of the anti-abortion movement. It says the following in Slate‚ “In the late 19th and early 20th centuries‚ the movement against abortion mainly included white supremacist who pointed to declining white birthrates believed that legalized abortion would mean race suicide for white Protestants.” You still look at it and you don't think they want you and me to have more babies. I don't think they want Latinos to have more babies. How do they get the message to white women that they are the target and should vote accordingly? TOLLIVER: Our message definitely has to come from Republicans because‚ remember‚ this attack on abortion is not isolated to abortion. It's reproductive rights generally.  REID: Correct. TOLLIVER: And we saw white women have a wakeup call when IVF was on the table and that is something that I think when we understand how this is going to impact IVF. Even the list that you had put up from the Heritage Foundation report for 2025‚ it included same-sex relationships as well.  REID: Correct. TOLLIVER: This is not isolated and it won't focus exclusively on abortion or reproductive rights‚ it is expansive and the other thing that came out of that Heritage report that is a sign of them going too far‚ as Doug Jones mentioned‚ is they literally want to delete the language from the books. REID: Yes. TOLLIVER: I'm talking about deleting abortion from federal regulation. Deleting the phrase "reproductive rights." REID: Correct. TOLLIVER: Deleting DEI‚ all of it.  REID: Yes. TOLLIVER: And I think when people frame it as this is not isolated to abortion. They're coming for IVF‚ they’re coming for contraception‚ they’re coming for anything privacy related— REID: Yeah. TOLLIVER-- with a roadmap given by Supreme Court justices Alito and Thomas‚ then that's what's going to resonate. REID: Watch The Handmaid’s Tale‚ as much of it as you can stand. That's what they want to do and by the way‚ you know how it's not about babies? They are trying to kill Head Start‚ which is for the babies.

Simon &; Schuster ditches 'comprehensive book on Biden’s presidency' amid low demand for Biden-related material

Publishing giant Simon &; Schuster has backed out of a deal with an established journalist for a "comprehensive" look at the Biden administration as sales for Biden-related books remain in the tank.In February 2021‚ Politico announced that Alex Thompson — then a reporter with Politico who has since joined Axios as "a National Political Correspondent" — had signed a contract with Simon &; Schuster to pen "a comprehensive book on Biden’s presidency." The book was expected to provide "fresh reporting" from a journalist with a firsthand look at "the White House transition."In that announcement‚ Politico claimed that the book would likely be released "in early 2024" — just in time for campaign season. Now that "early 2024" has come and nearly gone‚ Politico has announced that the deal is off. According to the outlet‚ Simon &; Schuster has "withdrawn" the contract with Thompson‚ further signaling a "soft market for books about President Joe Biden." A spokesperson for the publisher declined Politico's request for comment. Thompson confirmed on X that the deal with Simon &; Schuster is now defunct but noted that he is "still writing" the promised book. "If you’re a publisher and interested‚ email/number in bio‚" he added. — (@) For some time now‚ Politico has sounded the alarm about just how poorly Biden-related books have sold. Just over six months ago‚ it published an article entitled "Biden books are still bombing." It also recently listed three supposedly major books about the Biden presidency‚ only one of which sold more than 10‚000 copies. The other two sold just 6‚500 combined. Those numbers are abysmal‚ especially in comparison to books related to former President Donald Trump. Those books‚ particularly those taking aim at the former president‚ easily sold hundreds of thousands of copies‚ Politico reported. Even a tell-all book about Hillary Clinton's failed 2016 presidential campaign‚ "Shattered‚" sold 125‚000 copies and became a New York Times bestseller. But Biden books apparently just don't draw interest. NBC News’ Jonathan Allen‚ who coauthored "Shattered‚" tried to put a positive spin on an otherwise worrisome bellwether as Biden vies for a second term. "[Biden] has tried to be kind of a drama-free president‚ certainly in comparison to his predecessor‚" Allen claimed‚ "and that makes it harder to write a book‚ both in terms of getting information and turning his story into one that is compelling for readers."Eric Nelson of Broadside Books‚ a conservative subdivision of HarperCollins‚ was much more blunt: "Biden never does anything interesting."Nelson also noted that Biden has placed himself in a bit of a political jam. "If your nickname is Sleepy Joe‚ you kind of have to simultaneously say this person is ruining everything and is supremely evil‚ but also he’s inept‚" he said."And that’s sort of a challenging combination."Like Blaze News? Have men and women fallen out of love?

When you’re in love‚ nothing feels cringe. I mean when you’re in the full flush of first attraction — nothing about the other person can possibly be annoying. Or else it’s only annoying in the “oh‚ you” sort of way. “She’s always on me about my old T-shirts.” “He’s the worst at texting back.” You roll your eyes. But you also kind of think it’s adorable. Then‚ if the relationship turns sour‚ something ugly happens. The words stay the same‚ but the tone transforms. When you fall out of love‚ the very same quirks that once seemed endearing now fill you with disgust beyond all rational measure. “She’s always on me about my old T-shirts.” “He’s the worst at texting back!” Today this is called “getting the ick.” In Tom Stoppard’s play "The Real Thing‚" two reckless paramours named Henry and Annie blow up their marriages to be together. Henry keeps finishing Annie’s sentences‚ which is cute until it’s not. When they finally have each other‚ the romance curdles into mundanity‚ then contempt: “For Christ’s sake‚ will you stop finishing my sentences for me?!” That line‚ so apparently simple‚ goes off like a grenade. Once she’s said it out loud‚ it becomes real: She’s got the ick. These days‚ I get the disturbing impression that men and women in the aggregate have the ick for each other. Everyone can cite some things about the opposite sex that they find mystifying and a little silly. “Is it really so hard for men to pick up after themselves?” “She’ll tell you about her problems‚ but she doesn’t want you to fix them.” These complaints‚ when made with affection‚ are actually part of love. Who are these mad and maddening creatures‚ we are saying‚ who complicate and yet complete the world? But recently those very same sentiments have become bywords of intersexual warfare. “Is it really so hard for men to pick up after themselves? They’ve cheated us out of trillions of dollars!” “Women don’t want to fix their problems; they just want to drain men dry.” This sounds to me like a society-wide case of the ick. A couple of weeks ago‚ basically every single person on the internet watched a young woman explain that after enough minor disappointments‚ a girl will simply shut down toward her boyfriend overall: “The problem now is that she’s unattracted to you and just simply does not like you any more.” I suspect that video went so astronomically viral because it seems to describe not simply one failed relationship but an entire failed social arrangement between the sexes. Online‚ at least‚ we have spiraled into making hideous caricatures and impossible demands of one another: Never‚ ever flirt (you slut). Never talk to other women alone (you filthy animal). Maybe it takes an outsider to see this‚ or maybe it’s all too easy for a gay guy to diagnose dysfunctions in the straight dating world (we have plenty of our own‚ I promise). But it does strike me that decades of angry grand pronouncements about “what men are like” and “how women act” have turned charming foibles into bitter accusations. The preposterous excesses of late 20th-century feminism — “a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle!” — and the lock-jawed tradwife/manosphere reaction in this century have teased men and women apart by stages. Is anybody happy with this state of affairs? It seems not. In a real-life relationship‚ I propose‚ the cure for the ick is as follows. Spend less time grumbling theories about the other person to yourself in the shower and more time face to face with the other person‚ listening with charity. Because the secret is that he or she is neither the unblemished demigod you made when you were doe-eyed nor the incurable reprobate you make of him or her now that things have gone south. Love — real love‚ not infatuation — will mellow out slowly in the negotiation between you two as you are: quirky and obnoxious‚ elegant and strong‚ trying sincerely to know and be known. Is it possible that a similar approach might work at the social level? I’m heartened to see people getting sick of capital-T theorizing about the opposite sex‚ be it trad or rad. I suspect the remedy lies in turning instead to seek actual community with people of both sexes. As Lane Scott wrote recently‚ the domestic bliss of the future won’t look exactly like it did before all this Sturm und Drang. Some things really have changed. That’s okay. We’re still the same species we were when we first fell in love. Lay your weapons and your tweet threads down. We can patch things up. Louisiana Senate unanimously passes bill rejecting the 'overreaching hands of the WHO‚ UN‚ and WEF'

The Louisiana Senate unanimously passed a bill Tuesday that would bar the three leading globalist organizations from exerting power in and over the state. Senate Bill 133 would specifically ensure that the World Health Organization‚ the United Nations‚ and the World Economic Forum "have no jurisdiction or power within the state of Louisiana." The proposed law authored by Republican state Sens. Valarie Hodges and Thomas A. Pressly and state Rep. Kathy Edmonston would further prohibit the state and all governmental entities in Louisiana from implementing or enforcing rules‚ regulations‚ fees‚ tax policies‚ or "mandate[s] of any kind" tied to the globalist triad. State Sen. Hodges (District 13) told Blaze News that SB133 "comes after years of attempts to secure our state sovereignty from the overreaching hands of the WHO‚ U.N.‚ and WEF." "We have watched a horror story unfold in front of us as time has shown that the 'recommendations' and coercive regulations from outside organizations such as the WHO have harmed hundreds of thousands of Americans who took a vaccine that they were told was safe and effective‚" said Hodges. "Now‚ we are witnessing severe‚ long-term side effects and countless deaths because the 'experts' were wrong‚" continued the senator. "These organizations coerced and strong-armed Americans into medical decisions without clinical trials or long-term studies." Hodges noted that it was especially critical to act now that Republicans control the legislature and the governor's mansion. If passed by the House of Representatives and ultimately ratified by Gov. Jeff Landry‚ then the law would go into effect on Aug. 1‚ 2024. While uncertain about what the federal government or the courts may do in response to the legislation‚ Hodges underscored‚ "We‚ as legislators‚ should not base our efforts on what the courts may or may not do — we must focus on doing the right thing." Pressly took to X to express gratitude to his colleagues "for recognizing the importance of sovereignty in our decision making and passing this bill without opposition." "State laws should be made by our state's elected officials not international organizations‚" wrote Pressly. The Republican bill comes several weeks ahead of the May 27 vote by the World Health Assembly on the WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty: a legally binding pact "under the Constitution of the World Health Organization to strengthen pandemic prevention‚ preparedness and response." Republicans have criticized the proposal in recent months. Blaze News previously reported that Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) claimed during a news conference in early February that the treaty suffers from "a slew of significant issues surrounding the proposed treaty — including lack of transparency‚ the back-room negotiations‚ WHO overreach and infringement on U.S. sovereignty‚ unknown financial obligations for U.S. taxpayers‚ threats to intellectual property rights and free speech‚ funding for abortion‚ and how the treaty will benefit China at the expense of the United States." Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio)‚ chairman of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus‚ also blasted the treaty at the news conference‚ stating‚ "Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic‚ the WHO caved to the Chinese Communist Party rather than following the science." Wenstrup added‚ "Now‚ the WHO wants to infringe upon our national sovereignty with their proposed 'pandemic treaty.'" Like Blaze News? Brandon Scott: Those who call me Baltimore's 'DEI mayor' lack the 'courage to say the N-word' and 'should be afraid'

Brandon Scott told MSBNC's Joy Reid that those who call him Baltimore's "DEI mayor" lack the "courage to say the N-word" and "should be afraid" because it's his "purpose in life" to topple "their way of thinking‚ their way of life of being comfortable while everyone else suffers."What are the details? In the wake of Tuesday's collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore‚ Reid on Wednesday interviewed Scott and focused on a social media post that called Scott the city's "DEI mayor.'But before that‚ Reid gave a long monologue during which she blasted white people‚ Christians‚ and Republicans and noted the "grab bag of right-wing grievances‚ barely coded racism‚ and flat-out lies" following the bridge collapse.Specifically Reid called out "the most idiotic and racist" conspiracy theory and "boogeyman: diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion — DEI." She noted a post on X from Florida GOP congressional candidate Anthony Sabatini that showed an image of the bridge collapse and the caption‚ "DEI did this." — (@) "And a right-wing blue-check account that's been boosted by Elon Musk in the past just blew straight past the dog whistling‚ tweeting to its 276‚000 followers‚ 'Baltimore's DEI mayor' [and] commenting on the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge‚ 'It's going to get so‚ so much worse. Prepare accordingly.' The post included a clip of Baltimore's black mayor‚ Brandon Scott‚" Reid said. — (@) Reid continued:I cannot believe I have to say this: Brandon Scott was elected with 70% of the vote in 2020 in a city that is 61% black‚ so by right-wing logic‚ a diversity hire would have been a white man‚ which of course is what they want. "Only the white Christian men may have the things‚" and at this point‚ it's evident what they mean by DEI‚ right? OK? It means black people. It's the reason the right complained about critical race theory. It's not fashionable to be openly racist any more in America‚ unlike what they call the good ol' days. So‚ referring to a black mayor as a DEI mayor gets the point across‚ right? So fellas‚ why not just say what you mean? You can't stand black people. We get it. You've been heard.Soon Reid brought in Scott and asked him to respond to the "tomfoolery and attacks on you for having the nerve to be black and also a mayor."What did Scott have to say?“I know‚ and we all know‚ and you know very well that black men‚ and young black men in particular‚ have been the boogeyman for those who are racist and think that only straight‚ wealthy white men should have a say in anything‚" Scott began. He then added:We’ve been the bogeyman for them since the first day they brought us to this country‚ and what they mean by DEI in my opinion is duly elected incumbent. We know what they want to say‚ but they don’t have the courage to say the N-word‚ and the fact that I don’t believe in their untruthful and wrong ideology — and I am very proud of my heritage and who I am and where I come from — scares them‚ because me being at my position means that their way of thinking‚ their way of life of being comfortable while everyone else suffers‚ is going to be at risk‚ and they should be afraid because that’s my purpose in life.Scott also said‚ “Everybody is working here together. We’re ignoring all the conspiracy theorists‚ everyone who’s playing bridge engineer at home who’s never even [taken] a class on engineering‚ and understanding that what this is about is showing the world once and again that Baltimore can’t be broken‚ that our spirit is strong‚ and we will rebuild together and honor those who we lost.”Reid ended the segment with what she intended as a compliment but that arguably was an ethnic stereotype: "Personally‚ and I think from this show‚ and I'm sure I speak for you as well‚ we are grateful in this country to the Latino workers who do the hard work. They are on these construction sites all over this country‚ doing the work you cannot compel a lot of Americans to do. The back-breaking work that we don't even have enough gratitude to give to them."She then doubled down on the Scott critics: "And to anybody who has anything negative to say about this mayor or those people‚ we know who you are. We see you. We see what you mean when you say DEI. We get it." 'They should be afraid': Baltimore leader called 'DEI mayor' stands up to right-wing‚ racist attacks youtu.be Like Blaze News? Lancet study: Fertility is plummeting globally‚ with over half of countries below replacement level

Biologist Paul Ehrlich‚ 91‚ and other de-populationists have long concern-mongered about the planet having far too many human beings living on it. Their alarmist claims have proven as consequential as they have been wrong‚ inspiring the kind of disastrous policies taken up by the communist Chinese regime‚ which massacred hundreds of millions of babies as a result of its one-child policy. It turns out the problem the species actually faces is not a population boom but rather a world-changing population crunch. A graying world A new peer-reviewed study published in the Lancet recently revealed that fertility rates have declined in all countries and territories since 1950 and that "human civilization is rapidly converging on a sustained low-fertility reality." The fertility rate references the average number of children born to a woman in her lifetime. In 1950‚ the global fertility rate was 4.84. In 2021‚ it was 2.23. By the end of this century‚ it is expected to drop to 1.59 globally. For a population to maintain stability and replenish itself without need for an influx of foreign nationals‚ a fertility rate of 2.1 is needed. The fertility rate in the U.S. last year was 1.784. By way of contrast‚ in 1960‚ the U.S. fertility rate was 3.7. The American fertility rate predicted for 2100 is 1.45‚ according to the study. "Only six of 204 countries and territories (Samoa‚ Somalia‚ Tonga‚ Niger‚ Chad‚ and Tajikistan) are projected to have above-replacement levels of fertility by 2100‚ and only 26 will still have a positive rate of natural increase (i.e.‚ the number of births will exceed the numbers of deaths)‚" wrote the researchers. The researchers drew these conclusions on the basis of up-to-date assessments of key fertility indicators from 1950 to 2021 along with the forecast fertility metrics to 2100 produced in the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation's Global Burden of Diseases‚ Injuries‚ and Risk Factors Study 2021‚ executed at the University of Washington School of Medicine. The impact of this demographic trend outlined in the study has already shaken up countries such as China and Japan. The consequences will continue to magnify across the world in the coming decades‚ lest there be some grand about-face. — (@) The fallout According to the study‚ the world will become increasingly divided in terms of age demographics. The West and Asia are poised to thin out and turn increasingly gray‚ while parts of sub-Saharan Africa will remain relatively youthful. The greater ratio of old people to young people in low-fertility countries is "likely to present considerable economic challenges caused by a growing dependency ratio of older to working-age population and a shrinking labor force‚" reported the study. The researchers indicated that barring new funding sources or "unforeseen innovations‚" national health insurance and social security programs along with health-care infrastructure will be overwhelmed. In addition to straining health and welfare systems‚ increasingly childless societies are likely to also suffer economically. "If productivity per working-aged adult does not increase in accordance with declines in the working-age population‚ growth in gross domestic product will slow‚" said the study. "Reliance on immigrants will become increasingly necessary to sustain economic growth in low-fertility countries." The study suggested that reliance on immigrants from those lower-income countries that still bother to have kids will increase as post-industrialized nations attempt to address labor shortages. However‚ this reliance may adversely impact the migrants' native countries‚ which lose out on the skilled labor and talent pursuing better pay abroad. Despite the civilizational collapse underway‚ the researchers behind this Bill &; Melinda Gates Foundation-funded study highlighted what climate alarmists and other de-populationists might regard as a silver lining‚ stating‚ "Although sustained below-replacement fertility will pose serious potential challenges for much of the world over the course of the century‚ it also presents opportunities for environmental progress." An increasingly old and childless world "could alleviate some strain on global food systems‚ fragile environments‚ and other finite resources‚ and also reduce carbon emissions‚" wrote the researchers. Remedies The study suggested that pro-natal policies such as child-related cash transfers‚ tax incentives‚ childcare subsidies‚ extended parental leave‚ and other supports for family — such as those rolled out in Viktor Orbán's Hungary and now being considered in South Korea — might help arrest or slow the fertility decline. However‚ "There are few data to show that such polices have led to strong‚ sustained rebounds in fertility." The Atlantic noted that pro-natal policies have proven successful in certain cases. For instance‚ the Czech Republic saw its birth rate bottom out in the 1990s following the collapse of the Soviet Union. In the mid-2000s‚ the government began doling out $10‚000 to parents for every child‚ the equivalent of what many citizens were making yearly after taxes. Tomáš Sobotka‚ a researcher at Austria’s Vienna Institute of Demography‚ told the Atlantic that the Czech Republic's pro-natal policy apparently worked as there was a corresponding increase in births over time‚ and more families were having second and third children. "Even under optimistic assumptions on the impact of pro-natal policies based on current data‚ global [total fertility rate] will remain low — and well below replacement level — up to 2100‚" said the study. "Nevertheless‚ our pro-natal scenario forecasts also suggest that pro-natal policies might prevent some countries from dropping below very-low ( The researchers did not mention possible cultural or spiritual remedies but did recommend against restricting access to abortion‚ which kills more than 70 million babies a year worldwide. Biden’s internet crackdown is far worse than you think

Our government believes the people of America suffer from an “information disorder” — and Biden claims to have a cure. That cure comes in the form of the worst censorship America has seen yet‚ and the definition of “information disorder” is absolutely disturbing. “A condition in which truth and facts coexist in a milieu of misinformation and disinformation‚ conspiracy theories‚ lies‚ propaganda‚ and half-truth‚” Glenn Beck reads. In the important case Murthy v. Missouri that’s currently before the Supreme Court‚ the Biden administration is demonstrating what their cure for this is‚ which is basically just pressuring social media companies to censor views that the White House objects to. The pro-speech plaintiffs are disturbed that our government has colluded with these social media platforms to censor speech on topics like COVID origins‚ masks‚ vaccines‚ lockdowns‚ the Hunter Biden laptop‚ climate change‚ mail-in voting‚ and election integrity. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals judges concluded that the Biden administration violated the First Amendment by meddling with what should be content moderation decisions by private companies‚ but the Biden administration appealed the case all the way to the Supreme Court. Glenn is not pleased. “They’re everywhere now‚ making new rules and regulations on what can and cannot be said‚ and they’re doing it with the private sector‚ a partnership that used to be called in old school speak‚ ‘facism‚’” Glenn Beck says. 'There’s somebody at our back door with a gun': Scary home video shows camouflaged intruder seemingly forgot to load his gun

A camouflaged man seemingly fired an unloaded gun at a North Carolina couple while intruding on their back porch‚ surveillance video showed.A McDowell County couple shared surveillance footage with local news outlets and authorities after a man identified as Tyler Messer stood on their back porch wielding a rifle.Aiming down the sights‚ Messer looked back and forth at the couple who was in their house at the time."As I’m folding one towel‚ I have my phone lying in front of me and I see an alert that there’s some motion on the back‚" Preston McHone told WLOS. "So‚ I just turn around and yell‚ ‘Billy‚ there’s somebody at our back door with a gun‚’" he added. It was about 11 p.m. when Messer‚ still on the porch‚ pulled the action on his rifle. Audio of the gun failing to fire any projectiles can be heard on video‚ indicating that it was likely an empty chamber. However‚ it is still unclear and has been described as a misfire by local news outlets. After the alleged misfire‚ Messer took a moment to inspect his rifle before fleeing from the property. It also remained unclear whether or not the intent of the suspect was to kill the home owners at all‚ as law enforcement notes have described Messer as "mentally ill.""Defendant is mentally ill. Defendant stated to family that he was going to rid the world of sin‚" the notes from the McDowell County Magistrate Bail Explanation Form read."As he pulls the trigger‚ he turns and‚ in that short turn‚ he’s realizing it didn’t go off because he’s supposed to‚ at that point‚ have shot [my partner] and would be turning towards me‚" McHone continued. "He didn't follow through because he missed one step‚ and that was loading his weapon."The couple reportedly hid inside their home for several minutes until police arrived. They would soon learn that it wasn't the first time Messer had been to their home. Messer had reportedly visited their house three times within the past year‚ allegedly looking for his father. The couple did not know who the man's father is.The McDowell County Sheriff's Office reported that the suspect was charged with assault by pointing a gun‚ first-degree trespassing‚ and stalking. The charges came with a set bail of $200‚000.Two days later‚ 29-year-old Messer had his charges upgraded to include attempted murder. Like Blaze News?
