U.S. District Court Judge Larry Hicks, who was appointed by George W. Bush in 2001, was hit and killed by a car outside the federal courthouse in Reno, Nevada. An individual died Wednesday after being sucked into a running airplane engine at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. Dutch border police, who are responsible for security at the Netherlands’ largest airport, said passengers were removed from the plane and an investigation was opened.
