A cancer diagnosis is the last thing that anyone wants to be given. However, Joshua Ray Walker is determined not to let it weigh him down. The country star shared a bittersweet message amid his battle with cancer and admitted that he is determined to keep living life to the fullest despite his diagnosis. Joshua Ray Walker And His Cancer Battle The country star was diagnosed with colon cancer in December of 2023, and now it seems that that cancer is spreading. In an Instagram post, Joshua Ray Walker shared with his fans that the cancer has now spread to his lungs. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Joshua Ray Walker (@joshuaraywalker) He started his post with some positivity, sharing that he successfully finished his chemo treatment. He added, “My body handled it reasonably well, and I’ve begun to rebuild my strength and immune system.” While that is all great news for Joshua Ray Walker, he then shared some daunting news regarding his cancer journey. He writes, “The bad news is that upon the completion of tests to check on the status of my cancer post-treatment, multiple nodes of varying sizes were found in both my lungs.” The star continued on to say what a shock this was to him, it was not something he was expecting given his high chance of recovery. He wrote, “Before I started chemo, I was told I had a 90% chance of having clear tests post treatment…I was not prepared…this unfortunately means my cancer will likely be stage 4.” A Positive Outlook While the news is truly daunting, Joshua Ray Walker is not letting his cancer battle get him down. Instead, he shares an inspiring message with his fans. He writes, “The odds have definitely shifted, but I’m not going to publish them here. It seems defeatist and unnecessary. I’ll let you know what they were after I beat them. I’ve always lived life to the fullest, and I will continue to do so.” Next, the star shares how it is difficult to ask for help but that he did start a GoFundMe Page for those who want to support. Based on the comments rolling in, it seems that this star has a lot of support from his fans. One user wrote, “Sending you an abundance of sustaining positive vibes, love, care, strength, and all the things you need to beat this that you undoubtedly already have inside of you. You f*cking got this. .” Another added, “You were great as always last night. It did my heart good to see and hear you. The news isn’t great, but you have so much love surrounding you. We’re all gonna do what we can to help.
