'We’re probably gonna get sued': Dana White reacts to UFC fighter punching fan during prefight walkout

UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan appeared to punch an antagonizing fan during his walkout at UFC 300‚ prompting the UFC president to predict a future lawsuit for the company.While the Armenian fighter put on a great show in his split-decision victory over the higher ranked Charles Oliveira‚ it was an interaction with a fan before the bout that caught the eye of fans and reporters.Tsarukyan was on his way to the octagon at the historic UFC 300 in Las Vegas‚ Nevada‚ when he made a brief‚ two-second stop. During that stop the 155-pound fighter threw a punch into the crowd‚ confusing other attendees who threw their hands up to declare their innocence as the situation unfolded.The interaction was so quick that it went undetected by the UFC's commentary team.&;quot;He showed me 'f**k you' and he wanted to punch me and I wanted to punch him back‚&;quot; Tsarukyan told reporters after the fight. A close look at the footage of the incident showed a fan in black appearing to give the middle finger to Tsarukyan‚ who then attempted to grab the fan‚ before throwing a punch that possibly landed on the audience member's arm. Las Vegas Metro Police were then seen quickly getting involved as Tsarukyan continued his walk out. Footage shows the fan who Arman Tsarukyan punched during his #UFC300 walkout was giving the fighter the middle finger \ud83d\udd95 — (@) &;quot;That's it‚&;quot; Tsarukyan continued. &;quot;So guys‚ no one show me 'f**k you.' It doesn’t matter who you are‚ I’m going to punch you in the face. You can show me 'f**k' from like 200 meters‚ I'm not going to punch you. But when you're close to me‚ it's‚ like automatically‚ I'm from Russia. Don't do that‚ please‚ or I'm going to go to prison in U.S.‚&;quot; the fighter added. Arman Tsarukyan punched a fan during his walkout to fight Charles Oliveira \ud83d\ude05 — (@) During his own celebratory press conference‚ UFC President Dana White took questions about the fan incident in stride‚ opting to wait until the following Monday to make sense of the ordeal.&;quot;Yeah‚ you may not want to hang over the things and grab people while they're walking out‚&;quot; White told reporters. &;quot;These guys are all f**king piped up and whatever. I'm sure‚ we’re probably gonna get sued. We'll deal with that on Monday too‚&;quot; he added. Dana White on Arman Tsarukyan punching a fan in the crowd: Yeah‚ you might not one to hang over the things and grab people when they're walking out. \n#UFC300 — (@) Neither Tsarukyan nor White had made further comments regarding the incident as of the Monday morning following UFC 300. The fighter had simply stated that he was hoping to face the victor of the 155-pound title fight on June 1‚ 2024.&;quot;I’m fighting the winner‚&;quot; he wrote on X.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Top lawmaker addresses 'fear' of kids' data online by leading the way on a bipartisan privacy standard

Fox News Digital reported that Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) — the Energy and Commerce chairwoman — said that her &;quot;biggest fear&;quot; as a parent is that her children's personal data could be exploited online.As a result‚ she has recently aimed to temper those fears by spearheading a new federal data privacy standard.&;quot;There’s very dangerous activity online‚ and data collection is foundationally how these algorithms are developed and then ultimately used to target children‚ but also people in general‚&;quot; Rodgers said during an interview with Fox News Digital.&;quot;This is really my biggest fear as a parent‚ having three school-aged children‚ other friends who have had kids that have been targeted online. We know that these algorithms have been targeting children with dangerous content‚ targeted advertising that leads to dangerous life-threatening behaviors.&;quot;Rodgers specifically referenced predatory groups and others who target children online. She noted that children are‚ many times‚ connected with these dangerous groups through personal data that's readily available online‚ per the report.&;quot;We've all heard way too many stories of the eating disorders‚ the mental health issues that are increasing‚ self-harm. Unfortunately‚ kids have been connected with drug dealers or been sold pills that are tainted with fentanyl and died‚&;quot; Rodgers said.As a result‚ Rodgers worked with Senate Committee on Commerce‚ Science and Transportation Chair Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) to unveil the American Privacy Rights Act.“This bipartisan‚ bicameral draft legislation is the best opportunity we’ve had in decades to establish a national data privacy and security standard that gives people the right to control their personal information‚” Chairs Rodgers and Cantwell said. “This landmark legislation represents the sum of years of good-faith efforts in both the House and Senate. It strikes a meaningful balance on issues that are critical to moving comprehensive data privacy legislation through Congress. Americans deserve the right to control their data‚ and we’re hopeful that our colleagues in the House and Senate will join us in getting this legislation signed into law.”“This landmark legislation gives Americans the right to control where their information goes and who can sell it. It reins in Big Tech by prohibiting them from tracking‚ predicting‚ and manipulating people’s behaviors for profit without their knowledge and consent. Americans overwhelmingly want these rights‚ and they are looking to us‚ their elected representatives‚ to act‚” said Chair Rodgers. “I’m grateful to my colleague‚ Senator Cantwell‚ for working with me in a bipartisan manner on this important legislation and look forward to moving the bill through regular order on Energy and Commerce this month.”Chair Cantwell noted: “A federal data privacy law must do two things: it must make privacy a consumer right‚ and it must give consumers the ability to enforce that right.&;quot;“Working in partnership with Representative McMorris Rodgers‚ our bill does just that. This bipartisan agreement is the protections Americans deserve in the Information Age.” Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Masters champion boldly uses victory to point to his Christian faith: 'My victory was secure on the cross'

Scottie Scheffler is now a two-time Masters champion.After his resounding four-stroke victory on Sunday‚ the 27-year-old golfer — who also happens to be the No. 1-ranked player in the world — used his moment in the spotlight to highlight the victory secured to him through his faith in Jesus Christ.&;quot;I was sitting around with my buddies this morning‚ I was a bit overwhelmed‚ I told them‚ 'I wish I didn't want to win as badly as I did or as badly as I do. I think it would make the mornings easier‚'&;quot; Scheffler told reporters. &;quot;And my buddies told me this morning‚ my victory was secure on the cross‚&;quot; he continued. &;quot;And that's a pretty special feeling to know that I'm secure for forever‚ and it doesn't matter if I win this tournament or lose this tournament. My identity is secure for forever.&;quot; — (@) Scheffler went on to explain that he believes &;quot;today's plans were already laid out many years ago‚ and I could do nothing to mess up those plans.&;quot;&;quot;I have been given a gift of this talent‚ and I use it for God's glory. That's pretty much it‚&;quot; he added. And despite being the world's top golfer for more than two consecutive years‚ Scheffler described his golf career as &;quot;endlessly not satisfying&;quot; because‚ in the end‚ it's not as important as his family‚ friends‚ and faith.&;quot;All I can think about right now is getting home. I'm not thinking about the tournament. I'm not thinking about the green jacket‚&;quot; he said‚ referring to his wife‚ who is about to deliver their first child. &;quot;At the end of the day‚ I think that's what the human heart does. You always want more‚ and I think you have to fight those things and focus on what's good‚&;quot; he explained. &;quot;Because‚ like I said‚ winning this golf tournament does not change my identity. My identity is secure‚ and I cannot emphasize that enough.&;quot;Scheffler is a clearly a devoted Christian. He speaks about his faith on the biggest platforms in professional golf. And his faith is probably the reason why he is dominating professional golf right now‚ as CBS News observed:The freedom Scheffler's faith provides — allowing him to be secure in himself knowing all that's required is doing the best he can any given week — is a trait professional golfers strive to achieve through myriad psychological tricks‚ coaches and techniques.That this belief system is built into the best player on the planet is an extraordinary benefit. In fact‚ it's among the reasons why he's the best player on the planet.&;quot;I'm a faithful guy. I believe in a Creator. I believe in Jesus. Ultimately‚ I think that's what defines me the most‚&;quot; Scheffler said last week before the Masters.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Bill Maher stuns his crowd by admitting abortion is effectively 'murder' — then offers merciless reason to allow it

Bill Maher stuns his crowd by admitting abortion is effectively 'murder' — then offers merciless reason to allow it

Comedian Bill Maher recently stunned the audience of his HBO show &;quot;Real Time&;quot; by admitting that abortion is murder. In an apparent effort to win back the crowd and signal his commitment to radical progressive doctrine‚ Maher subsequently offered a profoundly antihuman reason for why this particular variety of murder should be permitted. Maher spoke Friday with British columnist Gillian Tett and journalist Piers Morgan about the medical slaughter of the unborn. Morgan emphasized that &;quot;America is not such an outlier&;quot; in terms of its majority resistance to the legalization of unchecked abortion. &;quot;There are many countries in Europe where it is completely illegal to have an abortion: Poland‚ Malta‚ you know‚ places like Andorra‚&;quot; said Morgan. &;quot;And if you look at Germany and France and countries like that‚ it can be 10‚ 12 weeks is the term limit that you're allowed to have an abortion illegally. So America is not such an outlier.&;quot; &;quot;I think a lot of Americans on the left do think that this is somehow a really unique American problem or an issue that only pertains to them in terms of the legality of abortions. Actually‚ compared to Europe‚ it's not massively dissimilar‚&;quot; added the Briton. Tett weighed in with the suggestion that the &;quot;idea [Americans] are fighting an election around this issue seems to be just strange. Back to the 19th century.&;quot; &;quot;None of you believe it's murder‚&;quot; responded Maher. &;quot;You know‚ that's why I don't understand the 15-week thing or the — Trump's plan [to] leave it to the states. You mean‚ so killing babies is okay in some states&;#63;&;quot; Maher was apparently prickled by Trump's proposed solution. Last week‚ former President Donald Trump suggested in a video statement that following the U.S. Supreme Court's 2022 Dobbs decision overruling Roe v. Wade‚ &;quot;We have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint.&;quot; The Republican front-runner further intimated that contra a nationwide law on abortion‚ the threat of which might adversely impact his success in November‚ the best way forward would be for individual states to &;quot;determine by vote or legislation‚ or perhaps both‚ and whatever they decided must be the law of the land.&;quot; &;quot;Like‚ I can respect the absolutist position. I really can‚&;quot; continued Maher. &;quot;I scold the left when they say‚ 'Oh‚ you know what&;#63; They just hate women. People who aren't ... pro-choice.'&;quot; Maher underscored that pro-life activists &;quot;don't hate women. [Leftists] just made that up. They think it's murder‚ and it kind of is.&;quot; The comedian's recognition that abortion entails the claiming of an innocent human life brought a hush over the room. While his audience may not have been accustomed to such a striking admission‚ Maher's acknowledgement is hardly novel‚ even among his peers. In his 2017 Netflix comedy special‚ Louis C.K. said‚ &;quot;People hate abortion protesters. 'They're so shrill and awful.' But they think babies are being murdered.&;quot; C.K. quipped‚ &;quot;I don't think it's killing a baby‚ though. I mean‚ it's a little like killing a baby. It's 100% killing a baby. It's totally killing a whole baby.&;quot; After effectively admitting what abortion entails‚ C.K. elicited uproarious applause with the additions‚ &;quot;But I think women should be allowed to kill babies‚&;quot; and abortion &;quot;is the last line of defense against s***ty people in the species.&;quot; Maher‚ like C.K.‚ similarly appealed to eugenicist rhetoric in his brief defense of abortion‚ insinuating that it amounts to a check on population growth. Noting that abortion &;quot;kind of is&;quot; murder‚ Maher said‚ &;quot;I'm just okay with that. I am. I mean there's 8 billion people in the world. I'm sorry‚ we won't miss you. That's my position on that. What&;#63; ... Is that not your position if you're pro-choice&;#63;&;quot; While Piers Morgan feigned surprise over Maher's remark‚ the self-described Catholic indicated to the HBO host that he held the same position. Bill Maher openly admits the Left's real position on abortion:\n\n&;quot;They think it's murder. And it kind of is. And I'm just okay with that. I am. There's 8 billion people in the world. I'm sorry‚ we won't miss you. That's my position on that.&;quot; — (@) While Maher appeared to cite the estimated global population as justification for abortion‚ global fertility figures would suggest more‚ not fewer humans‚ are desperately needed. Blaze News recently reported on a new peer-reviewed study published in the Lancet that revealed fertility rates have declined in all countries and territories since 1950 and that &;quot;human civilization is rapidly converging on a sustained low-fertility reality.&;quot; For a population to maintain stability and replenish itself without a massive influx of foreign nationals‚ it requires a fertility rate of 2.1. By the end of this century‚ the global fertility rate is expected to drop to 1.59‚ according to the study. China aborted nearly a half-billion children since 1980 under its one-child policy and is now suffering a demographic crisis. Like China‚ now desperately trying to boost its birth rate‚ the U.S. and the rest of the world may soon come to miss those persons whose killings Maher and others are keen to dismiss. Pro-life activist Kristan Hawkins‚ the president of Students for Life of America‚ said of Maher's comments‚ &;quot;This is THE question around abortion — do all humans have equal rights &; value or don't they&;#63; If you are pro-choice‚ you should be man enough to admit abortion is murder. At least @billmaher is a honest pro-abortionist and isn't willing to deny science to justify his belief.&;quot; Legal scholar Robert P. George‚ the sixth McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University‚ stated‚ &;quot;Extraordinary candor. Shocking and indeed chilling‚ to be sure‚ that Bill Maher acknowledges that abortion is (or 'kind of is') murder and endorses it anyway. But he's no science denier. He's willing to look the brutal reality of what abortion is right in the face ... and own it.&;quot; Minnesota state Rep. Walter Hudson (R) similarly expressed an appreciation for Maher's willingness to admit to a central fact in the abortion debate‚ writing‚ &;quot;It may be morally abhorrent. But it's at least morally consistent‚ and enables us to have a real conversation. No more evading what we're actually talking about. Let's now talk about 73 million legalized murders worldwide each year.&;quot; Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) tweeted‚ &;quot;'You're not supposed to say the quiet part out loud.'&;quot; Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Illegal migrants take over NYC block with prostitution‚ open-air market selling stolen goods

Illegal migrants have recently taken over a block in New York City and turned it into an open-air market‚ selling stolen goods at deep discounts‚ the New York Post reported.Roosevelt Avenue near 91st Street in Jackson Heights has been turned into an illicit market where migrants sell everything from mouthwash to power tools stolen from local merchants. Migrants arrive each morning with suitcases filled with ill-gotten items that they ransacked from local establishments. Many sellers display the items for sale by laying them on a blanket on the sidewalk‚ offering 20% to 30% discounts.Francisco O’Porta‚ a security guard for a local department store‚ told the news outlet that the migrants are stealing from his employer.“They rip it out of the box‚ but it’s ours. You can see. It is brand-new‚ but they are selling it as used. It’s our stuff‚” O’Porta remarked.“They have been training people‚” he continued. “They have lookouts‚ you know‚ people to yell so they can pick up and leave when police come. I am catching a lot‚ a lot of them stealing. I caught 20 people last week. Twenty in one week. They are hurting business.”Milton Reyes‚ who manages a pharmacy on Roosevelt Avenue‚ told the Post that the issues in the area are “relentless.”“You should see it on Saturdays. It’s so heavy‚ you can’t even step onto the sidewalk. There are a lot of doctors’ offices right around here‚ and my customers don’t even want to get dropped off‚” Reyes stated.He noted that he does not blame local law enforcement for the issues. “They will come by and they will pick up a few of them. But as soon as the police car pulls away‚ they start moving back. Twenty minutes later‚ they’re all set up again like nothing happened‚” Reyes explained.For months‚ residents have complained about sex workers standing along the street propositioning those who pass by. The Post reported that several buildings in the area are functioning as brothels. Earlier this year‚ police closed down a dozen establishments that were being used for prostitution. However‚ the illegal activity has continued.One source told the Post‚ “Roosevelt Avenue is the microcosm — a perfect storm composed of lunatic legislation that prevents enforcement of laws and the subsequent punitive results.”“Add to that waves of people with nothing to lose and you have criminality and degradation in quality of life for the community — and the city as a whole‚” the source added.Zhou H.‚ a local‚ told the news outlet that the open-air market has expanded within the last year.“I don’t know what’s ever going to get rid of this‚” Zhou said. “It’s like a sub-economy. Everybody buys from these guys. There was a few‚ mostly at night. Kind of like a bazaar. About a year ago‚ it built up.“But I thought‚ these people aren’t getting the kind of opportunities‚ they need to feed themselves‚ you know‚ they’re trying to survive‚ so‚ whatever‚” he stated. “About a year ago‚ there’s five of them‚ starting at 10 in the morning. Then 10 of them and then there’s 20 of them all day. At night&;#63; Forget about it&;#33;Zhou noted that the illegal activity in the area has “just become normal.”Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Comedian Drew Carey explains why he paid the meal tabs for striking writers in 2023: 'It's the right thing to do'

Comedian Drew Carey garnered a large round of applause during the Writers Guild Awards on Sunday‚ where he informed the audience he had covered the meal tabs at Bob's Big Boy and Swingers for striking writers last summer‚ according to Deadline Hollywood. The writers' strike lasted five months in 2023‚ with scribes demanding &;quot;increased minimum compensation in all areas of media‚ increased residuals‚ appropriate TV series-writing compensation from pre- to postproduction‚ increased contributions to pension and health plans‚ the strengthening of professional standards and the overall protections for writers‚&;quot; per Vulture. Carey took the stage with a plate full of food in his hand‚ explaining that he provided meals to striking writers because &;quot;it's the right thing to do.&;quot; However‚ he did address his initial shock when the bills starting rolling in. — (@) “I didn’t know it was going to cost me so much money‚” Carey said to the crowd. “The last [strike] it was like‚ I think the total bill was like $67‚000. I thought it was going to be about the same thing. But then some of you decided‚ ‘Oh yeah‚ I’m going to get a shake and some dessert.'&;quot;Carey went on to mention that his accountant got in touch with him during the strike and asked the actor if there &;quot;is any way we can dial this back&;#63;&;quot; His publicist expressed similar concerns‚ but Carey refused to back down‚ saying‚ &;quot;Nope‚ I already said I would. It's the right thing to do.&;quot;“I really appreciate all the thanks and stuff‚” Carey continued. “I don’t think I should get that much credit for doing the right thing … you writers‚ 'The Drew Carey' show writers‚ made me a fucking million. Everybody in this room makes some actor a million‚ and you deserve all the money you get‚ all the credit you get. Thank you so much for everything you do. God bless all of you.”Carey reportedly stayed quiet about paying for the writers' meals throughout the strike‚ but there are some estimates that he ultimately paid out around $500‚000 for meals at Bob's Big Boy alone‚ per Deadline.In September 2023‚ Carey posted to X: &;quot;I deeply appreciate all the love and thanks. It as with every dime. But if you really want to thank someone for those meals‚ thank Bruce Helford and all the Drew Carey Show writers. They helped make me rich enough to afford it‚ No writers‚ no $. Simple as that[.]&;quot; — (@) Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here&;#33;
