Jill Jacobson Of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ And ‘Falcon Crest’ Dies At 70

Jill Jacobson has been confirmed dead at 70 by her friend and publicist Daniel Harary, who noted that the actress battled a longtime illness before her demise. She is well known for playing Vanessa, a scientist faced with compromise and dilemmas challenging her morals, in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and even reprised her role in another Star Trek movie, Deep Space Nine. Aside from Star Trek, Jill Jacobson was famous for starring in the primetime soap opera Falcon Crest, and though she appeared in only 22 episodes out of 227 across nine seasons, she gave an unforgettable delivery of her character Erin Jones. Prior to starring in these hits, Jill Jacobson started her career playing the title role of nurse Sherri in the 1977 horror film. She landed the part after moving to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas, where she attended University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in radio, television, and film performance. The late screen star appeared in many more productions, including Days of Our Lives, The New Gidget, Harper Valley PTA, Crazy Like a Fox, Who’s the Boss?, and many more. Jill Jacobson’s life after ‘Star Trek’             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Jilly Jacobson (@jacobsonjilly)   Although hers was a small part, Star Trek opened doors to more gigs for Jill Jacobson. She was also a familiar face in films like Not Just Another Affair, Forbidden Love, Cats Dancing on Jupiter, Last Look, and Visage. Aside from acting, Jill Jacobson was an impressive comedian with multiple stage appearances at The Improv in Los Angeles and The Comedy Store. The late entertainer also executive produced The Circle and The Mic Whore in 2014.  Jill Jacobson never slowed down in her career as she still starred in the series Etheria in 2020, and is set to posthumously appear in the upcoming series Merrily. Jill Jacobson/Instagram Fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to Jill Jacobson, noting that her humor and passion will be missed. Her New Gidget co-star, Caryn Richman, commended her comic timing and enthusiasm at work, saying she was a joy to work with on set. “The world lost a versatile star known for ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Falcon Crest.’ Rest in peace, Jill,” a post on X read. “She graced screens with elegance, charm, and ‘Falcon Crest’ level drama. May her legacy live long and prosper. Note to humanity: honor legends while they’re here, not just in the obits,’ another wrote.` Jill Jacobson/Instagram Jill Jacobson’s life beyond the camera Aside from her show business career, Jill Jacobson was dedicated to social causes and was a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society. She disclosed her cancer diagnosis in September on The Jim Masters Show, explaining that she suffered from oesophageal cancer for two and half years, hence why she was out of the game for a while. Jill Jacobson/Instagram According to the statement issued to announce her passing, Jill Jacobson was also an accomplished cook who found joy in feeding her friends, family, and loved ones. She was also a dog lover and was passionate about pet rescue during her lifetime.             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Jilly Jacobson (@jacobsonjilly)   The late star was a family woman and shared three children with her ex-husband and Murphy Brown co-star Paul Dorman. In 2014, 13 years after their wedding, Jill Jacobson filed for divorce in Los Angeles, stating a dissolution without minor children. Not much is known about her kids, whom she kept private ever since their birth. Jill Jacobson also avoided social media throughout her career and kept most of her personal business private, including the state of her health. “You can’t function, you just can’t function…I just want to keep going, I want to help people. It makes you want to help people,” she said months ago after disclosing the state of her health. Jerry Springer Documentary Reveals Eye-Opening Secrets Behind Controversial Show

The Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action documentary is set to premiere on Netflix in January, and pending the time, a trailer has dropped, giving fans a glimpse into the revealing film they are excited to watch. The two-part series promises to showcase chilling facts from behind the scenes of The Jerry Springer Show, which aired for 27 years. The show’s producer, Toby Yoshimura, could be seen in the teaser saying they had no idea how big The Jerry Springer Show would get. It all started as a basic daytime talk show; however, low ratings brought pressure from executives, causing the creators to spice things up. Jerry Springer once apologized for ‘The Jerry Springer Show’ and its wild content Jerry Springer/Instagram  A resurfaced clip from Jerry Springer is featured in the trailer, and he apologizes for ruining the culture with The Jerry Springer Show. Yoshimura admitted that some stories were outrageous on purpose, and one of the guests said the show producer could not care less about positively impacting the viewers. Those hosted were reportedly told what to say and how to behave for the camera to keep people excited. Although the show was considered controversial at the time, Yoshimura said they wanted to see how far they could go by introducing taboo topics like incest and bestiality. Jerry Springer/Everett ‘The Jerry Springer Show’ encouraged violent culture Former executive producer Richard Dominick recalled convincing show host Jerry Springer, dubbed the king of trash TV, to make things wild. Jerry agreed, and soon, The Jerry Springer Show was a hub of physical fights, nudity, vulgar language, and violence. Jerry Springer/Everett The talk show was a massive success, but the upcoming documentary is set to expose the dark secrets behind the fame. Jerry hosted the show for all of its 27 seasons, after which he debuted a courtroom show, Judge Jerry, which was canceled in 2022 after three seasons. The former show host died of pancreatic cancer last year, as confirmed by his publicist and spiritual leader. Danny DeVito Admits The Impact His Height Has Made On His Life

Danny DeVito was named the king of short kings last year by social media users, as he stands at 4 feet and 10 inches at 80 years old. He became popular after starring in The Taxi series as a taxi driver, Louie De Palma, which earned him a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. He rose to prominence and starred in more productions, including the long-running FFX sitcom It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, in which he plays Frank Reynolds. Since Danny is now famous, his height is considered one of his outstanding features, which has not always been the case. Danny DeVito got bullied for his height Danny Devito/Instagram Danny was an easy target for bullies growing up and got rejected by the ladies in high school. No one agreed to go with him to the dance, and he joked that it was because his face would be at a level girls consider as moving too fast. While discussing with CBS in 2017, Danny said his height has felt normal over time. He explained that he is no longer conscious of his height because he wants to be comfortable and actually make friends. He did admit to the pressure of compensating for his physical flaw with his personality and good sense of humor. He only ever worried about his stature when it came to the ladies, but he discovered that connecting with really tall girls was easier because they shared a similar bodily consciousness with him. Danny Devito/Instagram What happened to Danny DeVito? Danny was born with a condition which is a rare genetic disorder called multiple epiphyseal dysplasia (MED). It is a type of skeletal dysplasia that hinders the development of bones and cartilage, particularly in the limbs. Danny Devito/Instagram Danny was able to make the best out of his disability, revealing that it helped him stand out from countless hopefuls during auditions. In his words, he has a memorable appearance that no casting director can easily forget.
