Weeee! Otter Slides Joyfully Down Snow Bank At Yellowstone National Park.

One creative otter is using a snowy hill as a slide‚ and we can’t stop watching the hilarious video! Footage from the National Park Service on X shows the adorable critter playing outside on a winter day. Taking a moment to pause at the top of the short slope‚ the otter finally took the plunge and slid down on their belly. After reaching the bottom‚ they bounced over to a fellow otter as if to say‚ “Did you see that?” “Hello from the otter slide!” wrote the National Park Service in their caption‚ “Must’ve slid a thousand times.” Hello from the otter slide! ⁣⁣Must’ve slid a thousand times. pic.twitter.com/vxDTmM6I9I— National Park Service (@NatlParkService) January 17‚ 2024 This comment was a clever parody of Adele’s hit song‚ “Hello.” If you need a little pick-me-up on this winter day‚ watching a playful otter slide down a snowbank is sure to brighten your mood. Who knows — it might even inspire you to get out there and have some fun yourself! We certainly hope some of the other otters take a page out of this little trailblazer’s book. Girl With Cerebral Palsy Lights Up With Joy Experiencing A Movie Theater For The First Time.

Ever since Ariana Rye was born prematurely‚ she’s faced countless health struggles. Eventually‚ she was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. In turn‚ she requires lots of medical care and accommodations. Most of these needs‚ however‚ are rather expensive. Now‚ Ariana’s family aims to help others like them. This is how the Ariana Rye Foundation was born. According to their website‚ this non-profit raises money so other children with disabilities have access to medical equipment. To raise awareness‚ Mom often shares insights into her family’s life‚ including the time Ariana visited the Las Vegas Sphere. Girl With Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy Can’t Stop Smiling in the Las Vegas Sphere @arianaryefoundation The episode where Ariana goes to the @Sphere Here are some details of our experience Tickets were cheaper on secondary market‚ we went through Vivid Seats recommended for age 6 and up official sphere websites says section 305 is the best these seats were section 205 we paid $90 each ticket‚ no kid prices available accessibility was poor – I’ll have to do another video explaining this they asked us to leave her stroller at the 6th floor and carry her all the way down the the 2nd floor where our seats where and then they said “this one time” we can leave our wheelchair by the entrance to the seats We parked the Venetian and walked 15-20 minutes to get to the sphere. Do not recommend ride-share on the way out‚ there was a flood of people in one area trying to get their Uber immersive experience- be prepared for vibrating seats‚ loud noises‚ and wind. If you get dizzy from motion sickness this may not be for you overall great experience and we’d take Ariana again! . . . . . . . . #physicaltherapy #pt #ot #stemcelltherapy #deaf #nicu #braininjury #cp #cpawareness #disability #nonprofit #preemie#vegas #lasvegas #charity #instagood #sphere #vegassphere #lasvegasaphere ♬ original sound – arianaryefoundation If you or someone you love is disabled‚ you understand how difficult it can be to find places that are truly accessible and accommodating. Although there are certainly ways the Las Vegas Sphere can improve (parking and space for wheelchairs‚ Mom shares from her experience)‚ their overall experience was fantastic. “We’ve never taken Ariana to the movies for the fear that it’d be too difficult for her to look down/move her head in the right position to enjoy it‚” Mom writes. TikTok The best part‚ though‚ has to be the way Ariana’s face lights up as she watches the screen. Here‚ a gigantic elephant explores the beautiful wooded area that takes up the entirety of the screen. Seriously‚ her adorable little smile is everything! “Overall great experience‚” Mom continues‚ “and we’d take Ariana again!” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! Bacteria can survive and mutate on Mars

Bacteria can survive and mutate on Mars

Research conducted by scientists from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (Netherlands) and Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (Germany) confirms that bacteria can not only survive but also reproduce in conditions similar to those found on Mars. These discoveries could have significant implications for future missions to the Red Planet. According to Science News‚ in the study‚ scientists placed four types of bacteria in containers with rocks simulating Martian soil and conditions similar to those on Mars (lack of water‚ low atmospheric pressure‚ ultraviolet radiation‚ and toxic salts). Experiments showed that the bacteria not only survived in such conditions but also demonstrated growth in artificial Martian sands. The results of this study have important implications for the health of future astronauts and the prevention of contamination on other planets. Scientists note that bacteria are surprisingly resilient organisms that can adapt to the most unfavorable conditions. As part of the experiment‚ four common pathogens were exposed to a Martian environment with little water‚ low atmospheric pressure‚ ultraviolet radiation‚ and toxic salts. Some bacteria remained alive for varying periods of time‚ and Pseudomonas aeruginosa even grew steadily for 21 days. Interestingly‚ past research has focused on extremophilic organisms adapted to survive radiation‚ salt‚ and temperature changes‚ but the current results indicate the ability of common bacteria to survive in conditions similar to those found on Mars. The scientists say the study’s findings highlight the need for preparations for future missions to Mars‚ including providing astronauts with a variety of antibiotics to combat potentially pathogenic bacteria that can survive and mutate on the planet’s surface. The discoveries also call into question how the human immune system would react to exposure to microbes that survived and mutated in Martian conditions. Scientists say they are confident that human ingenuity will find solutions to mitigate potential problems but urge caution to avoid contaminating other planets with Earth’s bacteria. SHOCKER: New York Times Opinion Piece Highlights Detransitioner Stories

Leave it to the New York Times to come out with what they think is riveting and groundbreaking content years after we came to the same conclusion. The leftist opinion section at the Times posted a piece Friday talking about detransitioning. The piece titled‚ “As Kids‚ They Thought They Were Trans. They No Longer Do‚” has garnered many on social media to say we told you so. The opinion piece‚ written by their former Book Review editor Pamela Paul‚ tells the heartbreaking stories of how children were abused and neglected rather than nurtured which led to their transition and now‚ years later‚ their regret.  She talked about one girl who began transitioning as a young teenager but was never asked why she felt so “detached” from her body. Here’s what Paul wrote: At no point during her medical or surgical transition‚ Powell says‚ did anyone ask her about the reasons behind her gender dysphoria or her depression. At no point was she asked about her sexual orientation. And at no point was she asked about any previous trauma‚ and so neither the therapists nor the doctors ever learned that she’d been sexually abused as a child. Yes‚ New York Times‚ we’ve been saying since all this started that rather than intervening with immediate medication or diagnoses of gender dysphoria‚ get to the root of the issue and figure out why a child is struggling mentally. “I wish there had been more open conversations‚” the girl‚ now 23 and detransitioned‚ told Paul. “But I was told there is one cure and one thing to do if this is your problem‚ and this will help you.” Paul even went on to talk about the fact that many gender specialists are afraid to speak out when they don’t “automatically agree” that a child has gender dysphoria. The author included an analysis for Britain's National Health Service which noted that “primary and secondary care staff have told us that they feel under pressure to adopt an unquestioning affirmative approach and that this is at odds with the standard process of clinical assessment and diagnosis that they have been trained to undertake in all other clinical encounters." She also noted that oftentimes only Conservative outlets highlight stories of detransitioners. I mean yeah because we‚ unlike the left‚ actually care about the well being of people more than pushing a delusion/agenda. Shockingly‚ Paul also brought up the common phrase from the left: “Do you want a dead son or a live daughter?” This is a manipulative phrase that leftists use to insist that if parents don’t allow their kids to transition‚ that their kids will kill themselves. This is the same phrase that was told to the parents of famous detransitioner Chloe Cole who was born a girl‚ was fed the lie that she needed to become a boy in order to deal with her mental health issues‚ and has since detransitioned.  In response to the article‚ Cole wrote‚ “Detransitioners are flipping the narrative. The truth of our experiences can no longer be denied‚” on her X account. “Rather than being treated as patients who deserve unbiased professional help‚ children with gender dysphoria often become political pawns‚” Paul included before blaming both Conservatives and Liberals for the issue.  Conservative lawmakers are working to ban access to gender care for minors and occasionally for adults as well. On the other side‚ however‚ many medical and mental health practitioners feel their hands have been tied by activist pressure and organizational capture. They say that it has become difficult to practice responsible mental health care or medicine for these young people. Later Paul made a similar point: The real threat to transgender people comes from Republicans who wish to deny them rights and protections. But the doctrinal rigidity of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party is disappointing‚ frustrating and counterproductive. So while she wasn’t saying that transgenderism is a delusion‚ at least she did mention that it’s not a “one size fits all” solution to mental health issues. Hey‚ it’s a step in the right direction at least. A step that many others online were pleased to see.  “2024: Year of the Truth‚” one user wrote while another said‚ “They transitioned their opinion” and one more added‚ “Look at NYT being brave and actually doing some journalism.” “The medical industry‚ left-wing media‚ and trans activists are ignoring  the sources of struggle that often lead to youth gender transition.Their negligence is producing an army of victims‚ who are about to bring about a legal reckoning never before seen in history‚” The National Review added. The tides are turning. Let’s hope and pray that more outlets begin sharing and exposing the truth about the dangers of feeding this sort of mental confusion.
