Wyoming became the 24th state to ban gender surgeries on children when Republican Governor Mark Gordon signed legislation targeting the life-altering experimental practice into law on Friday. Senate File 99‚ which overwhelmingly passed the state’s House and Senate‚ prohibits “physicians from performing procedures for children related to gender transitioning and gender reassignment.” While Gordon signed the bill into law and said he supports protecting children from harmful gender procedures‚ he added that he was concerned about the government crossing the line into “personal affairs of families‚” Wyo4News reported. “I signed SF99 because I support the protections this bill includes for children. However‚ it is my belief that the government is straying into the personal affairs of families‚” Gordon said in a press release‚ “Our legislature needs to sort out its intentions with regard to parental rights. While it inserts governmental prerogative in some places‚ it affirms parental rights in others.” The bill includes exceptions for “Procedures or treatments that are performed with the consent of the child’s parent or guardian and are for a child who is born with a medically verifiable genetic disorder of sex development” and for “Any procedure or treatment that is performed with the consent of the child’s parent or guardian and is for a child with medically verifiable central precocious puberty.” While Gordon passed the bill banning gender procedures on children‚ the governor vetoed legislation that would have regulated abortion clinics in Wyoming‚ arguing the bill would be vulnerable to legal challenges‚ according to Wyo4News. Beginning in 2022‚ Republican-led states began banning gender surgeries on minors as more reports of hospitals conducting the procedures began to surface. In September 2022‚ Daily Wire host Matt Walsh uncovered shocking details about Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) gender surgeries on children. “It’s a lot of money‚” VUMC Clinic for Transgender Health’s Dr. Shayne Sebold Taylor said at one Medicine Grand Rounds lecture‚ a video reveals. “These surgeries make a lot of money.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Following Walsh’s revelations on VUMC‚ Tennessee‚ Mississippi‚ Alabama‚ Florida‚ and Texas‚ among numerous others‚ passed bills protecting children from gender surgeries and hormone treatments. In Montana and Idaho‚ however‚ judges have temporarily blocked bans on gender surgeries‚ and a federal judge struck down Arkansas’ ban on the procedures‚ deeming it “unconstitutional.”

Liberal journalist and podcaster Kara Swisher took her book tour to HBO and Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday to offer up several contradictory claims. Swisher claimed to be for debate while defending collusion between the government and social media companies and labeled Rupert Murdoch “Uncle Satan” while lamenting the lack of serious debate. Maher told Swisher‚ whose book is about the tech industry‚ “We should have been able to argue about whether it came from a lab which we weren't‚ things like that‚ natural immunity‚ whether it was better to go to the beach and get sun and fresh air‚ as I would have said as opposed to sitting home and day drinking and putting on weight. They never mention that obesity was the biggest factor. They have a lot to answer for.”     Swisher claimed to understand Maher’s concerns but ultimately downplayed them‚ “They do‚ but you're in the middle of a plague in a debate people don't know and so you’re going to have to—” After Maher interrupted to claim that proved his point‚ Swisher continued to evade “Yes‚ you should‚ but this is not—the moment was not—people make mistakes and science says it makes mistakes.” Maher then brought up a lawsuit brought by: Jay Bhattacharya and Martin Kulldorff‚ they’re from Stanford and Harvard…they’re not radicals‚ they were saying we're going too far with school closures. Again‚ I think‚ has been proved right. My question always was why are your doctors more important than my doctors‚ the ones I want to listen to‚ and the social media companies were in the tank with the government as opposed to what you were just saying before‚ about you’re the watchdog and you have been‚ they did the bidding of the government‚ that's what the lawsuit's about.  Swisher again dodged the question‚ “It is about that but it's whether they can talk to each other reasonably and be coerced… if the government knows about‚ say‚ a major threat and it doesn't talk to these companies‚ we get into all kinds of trouble.” She then tried to change the topic: So‚ I think what’s happened is reductiveness‚ like‚ everybody has got to be ‘you were wrong‚ I was right’ and stuff like that and what's happening in this culture and I think it’s because of three things: social media‚ gerrymandering‚ and Rupert Murdoch‚ I think pretty much if I had to pick three things whom I call—I know‚ it’s an easy clap‚ right— I call him Uncle Satan in the book because he's avuncular yet bad‚ but one of the things that has happened is social media has caused us to-- we talk about our grievances with each other all the time and we don't tell stories about each other anymore.  What does the lack of intelligent debate on social media have to do with shutting down debate on school closures? Four people were taken into custody for questioning after the deceased body of a 70-year-old woman was found stuffed inside a garbage bag inside an apartment building in the Bronx‚ according to Fox News Digital.The authorities arrived at the scene on Grand Concourse Avenue in Mott Haven around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The victim — Margie Ann William-Collins‚ 70 — was originally from Georgia and was staying with relatives in the Bronx apartment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.The victim was reportedly discovered by her daughter-in-law‚ whose mother stayed at the apartment. Two men and two women were initially questioned by the authorities following the discovery‚ but three of them were later released.Caretaker Inga Bearden‚ 53‚ was charged with concealment of a corpse‚ which is a felony. The authorities mentioned that there were no signs of physical trauma to the body‚ but the autopsy report has yet to be released.The New York Post reported that William-Collins had taken a long shower Thursday before winding down on her side of the living room‚ which she and Bearden used as a shared bedroom. And when Bearden went to check on William-Collins‚ she was reportedly dead.Sources claimed that Bearden then called her 50-year-old husband and he allegedly helped Bearden place William-Collins' body inside a black garbage bag. Bearden's husband does not live in the apartment. Bearden's husband is still being searched for by the authorities. The Post reported that William-Collins‚ Bearden‚ and her teenage children were living in the two-bedroom apartment since October.Fox News Digital reported that the tragic incident comes just days after 52-year-old Nadia Vitel was found stuffed into a duffel bag in an apartment located in the Kips Bay neighborhood.A pair of squatters were ultimately arrested in Pennsylvania after departing New York and crashing Vitel's stolen vehicle. The woman had just flown in from Spain to visit her late mother's apartment — which had been vacant for around three to four months. She planned to prep the apartment so that a family friend could move in‚ according to a report.“We believe that some squatters took the apartment over and this woman came home … and walked in on the squatters that were there‚” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
