Whoopi Goldberg faces online backlash over comments about 17-year-old Trump granddaughter's convention speech

Most viewers of the Republican National Convention praised the speech given by former President Donald Trump's granddaughter, but liberal comedian Whoopi Goldberg had a different reaction. Goldberg told her audience at "The View" that Kai Trump had tried to humanize her grandfather and that they should not fall for the scheme. "For me, I have a lot of faith in the American people! And I don't know very many men who want to be talked to the way that this man has been talking to men in his audience. "I don't know any women, and I know his grandchild was up on the thing and they're trying to humanize him and change your idea about who this guy is. Don't fall for that!" she said to loud applause from the crowd. The teenager spoke on the second day of the convention and defended her grandfather by accusing the media of lying about him. Some critics on social media accused Goldberg of attacking Trump's granddaughter. "Shame On YOU Whoopi & The PRODUCERS of The View For Allowing It To Air. Whoopi Should Be Fired From The View!" said the official account for the retired wrestler Sgt. Slaughter. "Completely Uncalled For, Distasteful, Disrespectful & Inappropriate.""Whoopi Goldberg mocked Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter’s speech. She’s going after a minor. Absolutely sick," responded the popular Libs of TikTok account. "Whoopi is officially broken," read another response. On Thursday, the convention closed with a long speech by Trump, who appeared to lower his tone after surviving an assassination attempt. Like Blaze News? The left's DISTURBING reaction to failed assassination attempt on Trump

Those on the left have historically painted those on the right as being cruel and lacking empathy, but after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life, it’s clear they’ve been describing themselves the entire time. Even before Trump quite literally dodged a bullet, there have been countless times where celebrities, politicians, and mainstream media talking heads called for his demise. “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” Johnny Depp once bellowed into a microphone while veteran Broadway actress Carol Cook once asked cameras, “Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him?” There is of course the famous clip of Madonna telling a crowd, “I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House” and the horrific image of Kathy Lee Gifford holding a severed Trump head that’s been seared into all of our minds. On a recent podcast episode with Glenn Loury, author and New York Times contributor John McWhorter hopped on the Trump-hating bandwagon and said something he will likely come to regret. “I have taken a great deal of heat for saying, or implying, that I wish somebody would kill Donald Trump, and that is exactly what I was implying,” he told Loury. “It was irresponsible of me to say that in a public space.” Pat Gray, Keith Malinak, and Jeffy of “Pat Gray Unleashed” are horrified by all of it. “It’s like, 'Hello, New York Times, is this guy still employed?'” Malinak says, disturbed. Former chairman of the January 6 Committee Benny Thompson waited until after the assassination attempt to go after Trump. In a post, he had a staffer put a message on social media that read, “I don’t condone violence but please get you some shooting lessons so you don’t miss next time ooops that wasn’t me talking.” “He let her go already. By the way,” Malinak says, “Benny Thompson did try to strip Trump of his security.” Want more from Pat Gray?To enjoy more of Pat's biting analysis and signature wit as he restores common sense to a senseless world, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

NY Times: Biden Still Bitter About Hillary in 2016

President Joe Biden is still bitter about feeling pushed out of the 2016 presidential race by Democratic elites in favor of Hillary Clinton, feelings that have risen again as Democrats have called for him to leave the 2024 race against former President Donald Trump.

Brian May Looks Back On Freddie Mercury’s Last Days

Freddie Mercury’s death changed everything for the members of the famous Queen band, leaving his mates to painfully carry on due to the large vacuum he left behind. Freddie died at 45 from bronchial pneumonia after a prolonged battle with HIV/AIDS. It has been 33 years since his passing, but his legacy is still being discussed by his colleagues and fans to this day. According to guitarist Brian May, Freddie never showed weakness despite the inevitability of his death. While discussing with AXS TV, he recalled never seeing Freddie cry, and did not try to garner any well-deserved pity but remained an inspiration until his last breath. Freddie Mercury never gave up even when he was sick FREDDIE MERCURY, lead singer for QUEEN, 1980s Despite his ailing health, Freddie would still get on the road and unfailingly join his bandmates to record during studio sessions, urging them to keep creating. May admitted that Freddie’s absence has been the reason for the band’s complacency, as he was their biggest inspiration to continue working hard. RELATED: No One Actually Ever Recorded Freddie Mercury’s Last Live Performance With Queen—The Most Important One of Their Careers Their last album, Made In Heaven, held more sentimental value for Queen, as it contained tracks and snippets Freddie had them work on to create something special. His final known performance of “These Are the Days of Our Lives” was unforgettably emotional, as he still performed wholeheartedly despite being visibly weak. Queen (l to r) Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor, Brian May, John Deacon, circa early 1980s Queen without Freddie Sony is reportedly looking to buy Queen’s catalog for $1.27 billion, which would be the most expensive music sale ever if the deal goes through. Rather than grieving continuously and leaving the band in limbo, vocalist Adam Lambert’s ideas have helped Queen thrive, as he encourages new ideas and styles to keep Freddie’s songs alive. Instagram Interestingly, Freddie hid his diagnosis for a long time, over a decade, until the day before his passing, when he publicly admitted to being ill. He only kept the news within his close circle, which included members of the Queen, until he sensed he was not going to be around for much longer. Start Your Weekend Right With 5 Great Smooth Jazz Tunes

I guess I have pretty varied tastes in music. I'll listen to some Brooks & Dunn, then in the next hour, it might be Dvorak — or Frank Zappa. But this week I was on something of a soft jazz kick,…
