MRC's Brent Bozell Talks About Media Bias with Joe Concha on NYC Radio

MRC founder and president Brent Bozell appeared on Mark Simone's radio show Monday on WOR in New York City‚ one of the top talk shows in the Big Apple. The guest host was our friend Joe Concha‚ who has been a guest on our MRC Cruise (and is slated for our next trip in November). They talked about the terrible day in court for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis‚ who's trying to convict Trump in Georgia‚ but engaged in an office affair with a married man that created a conflict of interest. "We knew they were going to play the race card‚ and the gender card‚" Bozell said. "This is what the Left always does." He quoted MSNBC's Joy Reid speaking up for Willis: "She was insulted and rightfully so. This idea that women of color have to sit there and be demure and take it‚ there were people on social media saying 'oh‚ she's coming in too hot.' No‚ she wasn't. She was offended and she had a right to be offended." And he quoted Sunny Hostin on ABC's The View:  "Look‚ I think as a woman she's got a double standard because as you say‚ tons of men do things like this and there's no problem. I think as a woman of color she even gets more scrutiny and we know that." AP posted a sob-sister story headlined "Fani Willis’ testimony evokes long-standing frustrations for Black women leaders." Later‚ Concha said it was “something quite remarkable” for the taxpayer-supported PBS NewsHour trying to blame Donald Trump for the death of Russian dissident Andrei Navalny. Their Friday night pundit Jonathan Capehart said‚ We have been listening to Donald Trump saying‚ if NATO doesn't pay its bills‚ well‚ then Russia can — quote — "do whatever the hell they want." And so this sends an — I think‚ an incredibly chilling message‚ chilling message to the world that Vladimir Putin‚ for lots of reasons‚ probably feels very‚ very emboldened. And when there's a major candidate running for president of the United States saying the things that he's saying‚ Putin probably feels confident that‚ maybe come November‚ he will have a friend in the White House and he can do whatever the hell he wants." Bozell said bad actors from Putin to Hamas have been emboldened to wage war when they never dared to do these things under President Trump.

Networks Censors SHAMEFUL Tale of Joe Biden’s Brother Pumping Corrupt Hospital Chain

On Sunday‚ Politico published a tome to the tune of over 7‚000 words from Ben Schreckinger laying out a disturbing tale of Biden family corruption enveloping Jim Biden and a sham hospital chain that‚ while he tried to bring his brother Joe on board and floated giving him equity‚ mired in claims of Medicare fraud and a collapse with deadly consequences for rural communities. One of their few honest journalists intrepidly covering the Bidens‚ Schreckinger’s bombshell hadn’t been mentioned on any of the “big three” networks of ABC‚ CBS‚ and NBC across their flagship morning and evening newscasts. His one mistake? His editors put forward a lame headline: “Biden’s brother used his name to promote a hospital chain. Then it collapsed.” Schreckinger’s opening bode ill with Jim trading on his brother’s name to line his pockets using the sick (click “expand”): In 2017‚ a hospital operator set out to build a rural health care empire with the help of a Philadelphia-area consultant. The consultant‚ Jim Biden‚ had no experience running hospitals. But he did understand the federal government and had ties to labor unions. Perhaps more important‚ he was the younger brother of Joe Biden. (....) For then 67-year-old Jim Biden‚ the third of four Biden siblings‚ his ties to his older brother made up much of his pitch as he pursued deals that could help Americore make money from drug rehab‚ lab testing and even cancer treatment. “This would be a perfect platform to expose my Brothers team to [your] protocol‚” Jim Biden wrote to the CEO of a Tampa-area company that controlled licensing rights to an experimental cancer treatment the hospital operator wanted to offer. “Could provide a great opportunity for some real exposure.” The email‚ obtained by POLITICO from a person close to the company‚ documents one of the many ways in which Jim Biden invoked his brother’s name and clout in the course of his work with Americore‚ which has since gone bankrupt‚ wreaking havoc in rural communities in the process. Jim Biden spoke of plans to give his brother equity in Americore‚ according to one former Americore executive‚ and install him on its board‚ according to a second. He also said that if Americore could find a winning business model for rural health care‚ his brother could promote the company in a future presidential campaign‚ a third former executive told POLITICO. All were granted anonymity to discuss a company mired in legal and political controversy In order to fund Americore’s expansion‚ Jim Biden offered to secure capital from investors in the Middle East‚ according to the emails and executives. When the expected money did not arrive‚ it aggravated Americore’s preexisting financial issues. Like other Biden ventures‚ Americore failed‚ but this one left regular people damaged with “unpaid bills and neglected patients‚” “hospital staff” going “unpaid‚ services dwindled‚ and authorities were forced to intervene” to the point that one “died of cardiac arrest in late 2018 after receiving substandard care.” Despite it having been four years since it went broke‚ Schreckinger explained “federal investigators are still pursuing questions about what else happened at Americore” and‚ just five months ago‚ “the Securities and Exchange Commission accused one of Jim Biden’s business partners of fraud related to loans to the company‚ allegations the business partner has denied.” But‚ wait‚ there’s more with Schreckinger revealing: “the Justice Department found that Americore’s hospital in Pennsylvania entered into sham service agreements and paid kickbacks as part of a scheme that billed the government for medically unnecessary lab tests”‚ which is central to “a federal prosecution of a $100 million conspiracy to defraud Medicare”. Before things devolved and Jim Biden ran like the wind from Americore‚ he had big plans to tie in Joe (click “expand”): The investigation...reveals that Jim Biden’s role at Americore was larger than previously reported: In some internal documents and investor materials his name is included among its top handful of leaders. He also helped the company seal regulatory approval to acquire the Pennsylvania hospital and personally fired Americore’s chief financial officer‚ according to the emails obtained by POLITICO. The investigation also reveals that Joe Biden’s name and inner circle were more involved with the company than has been understood: In addition to the accounts provided by former executives‚ investor materials described Jim Biden as an adviser to his older brother. And on top of Joe Biden’s own previously reported encounter with the firm’s CEO‚ at least three of Joe Biden’s relatives did work with Americore. They include Jim Biden’s wife‚ Sara‚ and his son‚ Jamie. The president’s son‚ Hunter Biden also met with its CEO‚ and his personal doctor — current White House physician Kevin O’Connor — joined a meeting with Jim Biden and the president of a hospital being acquired by Americore‚ according to a former executive and emails obtained by POLITICO. While the extent to which Joe Biden’s relatives have invoked their ties to him to advance their business careers has been a subject of ongoing controversy‚ the documents obtained by POLITICO demonstrate that Joe Biden was a central element of Jim Biden’s pitch to potential partners and investors during this period. None of these Biden family members would answer specific questions related to Ameriore. The White House did not respond to detailed requests for comment. Jim Biden has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing. (....) Joe Biden did benefit indirectly from his brother’s work with the firm. On the same day Jim Biden received a $200‚000 payment from Americore‚ he made out a check for his brother Joe. The White House has said the check was for repayment of a loan‚ but did not respond to questions about the circumstances of the loan‚ including whether Joe Biden was aware of his brother’s income from Americore. (....) “I was sold that Americore was going to be the salvation of rural hospitals‚” said one of the former executives. “The whole thing was a scam‚ and it didn’t take that long to figure it out.” Instead of covering this Biden scandal‚ the networks had other ideas. Between Monday’s Good Morning America on ABC and NBC’s Today‚ the two combined for 12 minutes and 18 seconds hyping President’s Day deals from major retailers on everything from computers to home furniture. And‚ on Monday’s CBS Mornings‚ they spend nearly 90 seconds (82 seconds to be precise) promoting a story from last week about a lawsuit alleging data apps were addictive and harmful to the health of users. In contrast‚ numerous Fox News Channel and Newsmax programs had full and partial segments devoted to this corrupt healthcare scheme depriving rural‚ lower-income Americans of adequate healthcare. One such show was FNC’s America Reports‚ which gave four minutes and 26 seconds to informing viewers. Co-host John Roberts said Politico’s “lengthy report....claim[ed] Joe Biden was ‘a central element’ of Jim Biden's pitch to investors on a hospital chain that collapsed”.     Roberts turned to York by noting Jim Biden spent time in this venture despite having “no experience running hospitals” and nonetheless tried to get his brother Joe a slice of the pie (click “expand”): ROBERTS: Jim Biden had no experience running hospitals‚ but he had the cache of the Biden name and access to the brother.  In an email obtained and described by Politico — it says this “‘This would be a perfect platform to expose my Brothers team to [your] protocol‚’ Jim Biden wrote to the CEO of a Tampa-area company that controlled licensing rights to an experimental cancer treatment the hospital operator wanted to offer. ‘Could provide a great opportunity for some real exposure.’” To what extent‚ Byron‚ was the cache of Joe Biden advantageous to his brother in this venture? YORK: Oh‚ I think 100 percent would be the conservative estimate. I mean‚ really‚ when you look at both Hunter Biden's business and Joe Biden’s brother Jim's business‚ they were all in the Biden business‚ and it all was based on the influence of their brother and father‚ Joe Biden‚ either as a long time senator or as Vice President or‚ in this case‚ you mentioned‚ as the former Vice President who had just left office after eight years as Vice President. And what was going on here there was someone who told Politico that‚ in Jim Biden's efforts to get in with this hospital company and make a lot of money‚ there was a discussion of giving Joe Biden an equity stake in this. Did not happen — the whole company went bankrupt and is under investigation‚ but that was part of the discussions. After noting one way Jim Biden sought to have Joe Biden join the company that‚ if successful‚ could be a major talking point in a then-hypothetical 2020 presidential campaign‚ Roberts and York brought up the $200‚000 check Jim Biden sent to Joe after the former had received money in the same amount from Americore. “[I]t's very suggestive‚ and we have not really heard details about this. In that‚ Politico story‚ they asked the White House: can you tell us something about the loan that was being repaid. And they were told absolutely nothing. So‚ it just continues to be a big question mark out there‚” York explained. To see the relevant FNC transcript from February 19‚ click here.

MSNBC: Embryos Are Embryos‚ Not 'A Living Creature‚' But Help People Become Parents

MSNBC medical contributor and former Obama White House policy director Kavita Patel joined Jose Diaz-Balart Reports guest host Yasmin Vossoughian on Tuesday to react to an Alabama Supreme Court ruling that declares frozen embryos to be people. Patel was not happy‚ unknowingly arguing that embryos are not people because they are embryos but also enable people to become parents. The tautological Patel claimed‚ “So‚ I do think that you’re raising a good issue in how we think about‚ kind of‚ the future of embryos‚ but‚ by the way‚ that's not a new conversation and that's one that should not get confused with what's at issue here. They are defining an extra-uterine embryo as a living creature and that's just simply not the fact. They're embryos.      A declaration that an embryo is an embryo is the kind of expert analysis one comes to expect from MSNBC. Meanwhile‚ the embryonic stage of biological development is just one of many stages one goes through during life. The NIH website defines an embryo as the “early stage in the development of humans and other animals or plants.” Vossoughian then wondered‚ “What is the likelihood this is going to spread to other‚ more conservative states? And then also‚ how it's going to affect health care workers.” It is fair to ask if Patel is changing the definition of an embryo to justify a political position on abortion because‚ in her answer‚ she would suggest she does know that an embryo is alive: To be clear you set it up in the right context‚ this came out of‚ kind of‚ a wrongful death lawsuit‚ if you will‚ so it wasn't exactly this reproductive rights issue‚ but you could easily see this becoming a reproductive rights issue and what I worry about is‚ Yasmin‚ look‚ these technologies are a miracle. The ability to have children‚ a number of us have gone through these processes and we have children as a result of them. Can you imagine stopping that ability‚ the irony to stop that ability for people to become parents because there's a potential that an embryo could be seen as-- an extra-uterine embryo can be seen as a living person? Those two worlds colliding are‚ you know‚ unthinkable.  If an embryo is not a living being‚ how do people become parents? Here is a transcript for the February 20 show:  MSNBC Jose Diaz-Balart Reports 2/20/2024 11:49 AM ET KAVITA PATEL: Different clinics will have arrangements with all of the potential parents where they make it clear‚ at a certain time you have to tell us what you want us to do‚ but also that varies from person to person. So‚ I do think that you’re raising a good issue in how we think about‚ kind of‚ the future of embryos‚ but‚ by the way‚ that's not a new conversation.  YASMIN VOSSOUGHIAN: Yeah‚ exactly.  PATEL: And that's one that should not get confused with what's at issue here. They are defining an extra-uterine embryo as a living creature and that's just simply not the fact. They're embryos.  VOSSOUGHIAN: What is the likelihood this is going to spread to other‚ more conservative states? And then also‚ how it's going to affect health care workers.  PATEL: Yeah. I’ll speak to the latter. I think that the effect on health care workers‚ especially reproductive endocrinologists or OB/GYNs is devastating because everybody’s anticipating this will come to their state. Texas‚ a number of other states that have incredibly conservative laws on the books. To be clear you set it up in the right context‚ this came out of‚ kind of‚ a wrongful death lawsuit‚ if you will‚ so it wasn't exactly this reproductive rights issue‚ but you could easily see this becoming a reproductive rights issue and what I worry about is‚ Yasmin‚ look‚ these technologies are a miracle.  The ability to have children‚ a number of us have gone through these processes and we have children as a result of them. Can you imagine stopping that ability‚ the irony to stop that ability for people to become parents because there's a potential that an embryo could be seen— VOSSOUGHIAN: Yeah. PATEL:  -- an extra-uterine embryo can be seen as a living person? Those two worlds colliding are‚ you know‚ unthinkable.

Trust the experts: Nero was one of Rome’s greatest emperors

A surprising new survey conducted by a panel of experts specializing in the Roman Empire ranks Nero among Rome’s top 10 emperors. The Roman Imperial Greatness Project expert survey polled current and recent members of the Roman Emperors and Imperial Politics Section of the Roman History Association‚ the foremost organization of social scientists studying Roman imperial politics. Values evolve. Judgments change. Sic transit gloria‚ as the Romans liked to remind their emperors from time to time. Glory fades. Marcus Aurelius landed in a middling position‚ ahead of some emperors such as Caligula and Tiberius but below Nero. Hadrian claimed the No. 7 spot‚ climbing eight spots higher than in the previous year’s survey. Nero secured the 10th position‚ while other emperors like Commodus‚ Domitian‚ Caracalla‚ and Elagabalus fell below him. The survey also delved into the partisan and ideological differences among respondents. The surveyors asserted that these differences did not significantly impact the overall rankings of the emperors. “If you set aside the Great Fire‚ the appalling persecution of Christians‚ and the occasional murder of his rivals‚” one Roman historian said‚ “Nero was actually quite progressive for his time. Just look at his record on infrastructure. He was very big on public works.” For real‚ though … None of the above is true. Well‚ except for the progressive reassessment of Nero. It turns out that’s only a slight exaggeration. Otherwise‚ the Roman Imperial Greatness Project does not exist. And of the many scholarly associations devoted to the study of ancient Rome‚ the Roman History Association is not one of them. That‚ too‚ is fictional. In reality‚ something called the Presidential Greatness Project just released the results of its third annual expert survey in time for Presidents’ Day. It was bound to make headlines‚ like this one from the New York Times on Monday: “Poll Ranks Biden as 14th-Best President‚ With Trump Last.” And this one from Axios: “Historians rank Trump as worst president.” And this one‚ from The Hill‚ whose story I parodied at the outset: “Presidential experts rank Biden 14th among presidents in survey‚ Trump comes in last.” You get the drift. The experts — the people who know — want you to know that Joe Biden is a greater president than Ulysses S. Grant‚ James Monroe‚ and Ronald Reagan‚ though he’s not quite in the same league as Abraham Lincoln‚ Franklin D. Roosevelt‚ and George Washington. And what has been Biden’s signal accomplishment‚ by these experts’ lights? Could it be his brilliant diplomacy in the Middle East? His unquestionable competence in withdrawing U.S. troops from Afghanistan? His deft touch with the common folk‚ perhaps? No‚ no‚ none of that. Experts say Biden “rescued the presidency from Trump‚ resumed a more traditional style of presidential leadership‚ and is gearing up to keep the office out of his predecessor’s hands this fall.” In other words‚ Biden vanquished the Bad Orange Man‚ restored our precious democratic norms‚ and now intends to keep restoring them with the gusto of an elderly man with a poor memory. How great is that? Donald Trump ranks last among 45 presidents because of course he does. So many indictments. So many mania-inducing tweets. So many unsettled and broken norms. Experts say Trump is worse than James Buchanan‚ whose indolence and indecisiveness spurred the secession crisis of 1860 that led to the Civil War and more than 620‚000 American dead. He’s worse than Andrew Johnson‚ an inept chief executive who was only impeached once. And he’s worse than William Henry Harrison‚ presumably because‚ unlike poor Harrison‚ Trump lacked the common decency to die within his first month in office. Values evolve one way only The project’s authors‚ political scientists Justin Vaughn and Brandon Rottinghaus‚ explained what their new survey means on Sunday in a Los Angeles Times op-ed. “Great presidents have traditionally been viewed as those who presided over moments of national transformation‚ led the country through major crises and expanded the institution of the presidency‚” they write. “Our latest rankings also show that the experts’ assessments are driven not only by traditional notions of greatness but also by the evolving values of our time.” Ah‚ yes. Values evolve. Judgments change. Sic transit gloria‚ as the Romans liked to remind their emperors from time to time. Glory fades. And so‚ Andrew Jackson and Woodrow Wilson have fallen in experts’ esteem‚ Vaughn and Rottinghaus reveal‚ “as modern politics lead scholars to assess their early 19th and 20th century presidencies ever more harshly‚ especially their unacceptable treatment of marginalized people.” Of course! Andrew Jackson treated Indians brutally and held slaves‚ which is far worse than his expansion of presidential power and his fiscal policies that led to the Panic of 1837. And everyone knows Woodrow Wilson’s greatest failing was his incorrigible racism — which was very bad‚ of course — and not dragging the United States into World War I‚ torching the First Amendment with the Sedition and Espionage Acts‚ and laying the foundations for the administrative state. Trust the experts! The great lament of “modern politics” — always changing‚ and always canting leftward — is how divided Americans have become. With experts so thoroughly marinated in modern left-liberal Democratic Party dogma‚ reconciliation is a pipe dream. “Academics do lean left‚” Vaughn and Rottinghaus concede‚ “but that hasn’t changed since our previous surveys.” What’s different‚ they contend‚ “is not just an added emphasis on a president’s political affiliation” but also “the emergence of a president’s fealty to political and institutional norms as a criterion for what makes a president ‘great’ to the scholars who study them.” Nowadays‚ it’s fair to say‚ norms are what Democrats preserve and Republicans overturn. Self-government endangers Our Democracyâ„¢‚ which demands fealty to whatever policies progressives happen to prefer this week. Remember: Values evolve. We need experts‚ Lord knows — experts we can trust. We need pilots who can fly jetliners safely and cardiologists who can perform triple bypass surgeries without killing their patients. We need plumbers and electricians and computer programmers who can figure out what our car’s check engine light means. Do we really need “experts” in politics‚ though? Those experts are untrustworthy in every way but one: We may trust they are completely sincere about their own high self-regard. Though often wrong‚ they are never in doubt. They really believe their own bull-oney — just as if you polled Roman historians and they ranked the tyrant Nero among the greats‚ in accord with “the evolving values of our time.”

Kevin O'Leary uses basic logic to explain how ruling against Trump will backfire on New York: 'Never invest in New York now'

Businessman Kevin O'Leary vowed on Monday never to invest in the state of New York again.O'Leary‚ the star "Shark Tank" investor‚ slammed Judge Arthur Engoron's ruling against Trump in the civil fraud trial. Last Friday‚ Engoron ordered Trump to pay a penalty of $355 million plus interest — a total of approximately $450 million. The fraud case was brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James‚ a Democrat who campaigned on targeting Trump."Just leaving the whole Trump thing out of it and seeing what occurred here — and I'm no different than any other investor — I'm shocked at this‚" O'Leary said on Fox Business. "I can't even understand or fathom the decision at all. There's no rationale for it."According to O'Leary‚ the ruling demonstrates what he and many other businessmen believed was already true: New York is a "loser state" because of liberal policies‚ high taxes‚ and uncompetitive regulation."I would never invest in New York now‚" he promised."The fine people of New York should ask themselves‚ 'Why are we such a loser state? How are we going attract business?' It's not just the existing businesses that are fleeing out to Texas and Florida. What about new money like what I’m talking about? Like a $4 billion data center?" O'Leary continued. "Not a chance I would put that in New York! Zero probability! Never!"O'Leary cited Tennessee‚ Oklahoma‚ West Virginia‚ and North Dakota as "winner states" because of their business-friendly policies. But New York‚ he argued‚ has just proved it is a "mega-loser state." 'LOSER STATE': O'Leary says he will never invest in NY after Trump fraud ruling www.youtube.com Finally‚ O'Leary responded to Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul's attempt to reassure businesses and real estate developers — those not named Trump‚ of course — telling them that there is "nothing to worry about."Ultimately‚ O'Leary explained that New York has shot itself in the foot — and state officials have no one to blame but themselves."We're very worried. Every investor is worried because where is the victim? Who lost the money? This is some arbitrary decision a judge made‚" O'Leary said. "What does this say about the legal bar in New York? Aren't they going to question this judge? What is this? $355 million as a penalty plus interest at 9% and there's no victim?"I'm sorry. Her words fall on deaf ears to everybody. There's nothing she can say to justify this decision‚" he continued. "Forget about Trump. This is not a Trump situation — this is a New York problem."Like Blaze News? 'Taken against her will': Florida woman vanishes in Spain 30 minutes after man spray-paints cameras at her apartment complex

A woman from Florida was reportedly "taken against her will" in Madrid‚ Spain‚ where she was spending time after a rough divorce from her husband‚ according to one of the woman's friends‚ per Fox News Digital.Ana Maria Knezevic‚ 40‚ was a Fort Lauderdale resident who was originally from Colombia. She had been living in a generally safe apartment complex in Madrid's Salamanca quarter when she mysteriously disappeared on February 2. Sanna Rameau‚ Knezevic's friend‚ said that "someone has taken her against her will. She has not left on her own. That's out of the question." The last time any of her friends had heard from her was around 10:00 p.m. that evening — just 30 minutes before an unidentified man wearing a motorcycle helmet spray-painted the apartment building's security cameras‚ according to the report. The New York Post reported that among the troubling signs leading up to the woman's disappearance was that she had told friends that she had just met a man and felt an "instant" connection with him. However‚ some friends have claimed that they have since received oddly phrased text messages in Spanish from the Colombian-born woman and that they are not convinced she is the one writing them. The woman's brother‚ Felipe Henao‚ told the Daily Mail that "my mother is devastated. I wish I had something new; I wish Ana was back already."“I just hope someone with information comes forward to tell us what they know.”Knezevic was apparently a realtor who also owned a tech support company with her estranged husband. Since their separation‚ she had started using Bumble in the months leading up to her disappearance.Reports noted that two men Knezevic had chatted with on the platform have been tracked down by the Spanish authorities. The Daily Mail mentioned that Knezevic and her husband had been ready to move on. One of the woman's friends said she was unsure whether Knezevic was using the Bumble app to meet new men or if she was just using the "BFF" mode to make new friends."I just know that police have been in contact with several people she was speaking with‚" Rameau said."I have met with one of them who tells me that they were not romantically involved; they were friends.""I have been saying this whole time that we need to get into her phone and look at the platforms she was using.""We need to look for any clues in there‚ but we have not got that far yet."While there have been suggestions that the woman's estranged husband could have something to do with the disappearance‚ the authorities have not been able to make a connection. Amid raging global crises‚ US secretary of state finds time to warn State Dept. staffers against 'misgendering': Report

As the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars rage on and illegal aliens cross into the U.S. through its porous border with Mexico at alarming rates‚ U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently carved out time to warn State Department staffers against "misgendering‚" National Review reported. What are the details?Blinken told employees in a Feb. 5 cable that assuming gender based on appearance “can be problematic” and sends a “harmful‚ exclusionary message" and to avoid using terms such as “mother/father‚” “son/daughter‚” and “husband/wife‚" National Review said‚ adding that it obtained the text of the “Modeling DEIA: Gender Identity Best Practices" cable and confirmed its authenticity. The outlet said Blinken's cable suggested that employees state their pronouns in email signatures and when introducing themselves in meetings “to show respect and avoid misunderstandings.” “Commonly used pronouns could include she/her‚ he/him‚ they/them‚ and ze/zir‚” the cable noted‚ according to National Review. “This is a personal decision that should be respected." More from the outlet:The cable also instructs staffers to use “gender-neutral language whenever possible.” Problematic terms like “manpower‚” “you guys‚” “ladies and gentlemen” and even “mother/father‚” “son/daughter‚” and “husband/wife” should be avoided. Better to use terms like “labor force‚” “everyone‚” “folks‚” “you all‚” and “parent‚” “child‚” and “spouse” or partner” instead‚ the cable says. “When speaking‚ avoid using phrases like ‘brave men and women on the front lines‚’” the cable adds‚ suggesting that staffers “use more specific language such as ‘brave first responders‚’ ‘brave soldiers‚’ or ‘brave DS agents.’” The cable also instructs State Department employees not to “pressure someone to state their pronouns‚” to handle mistakes with “subtlety and grace‚” and to remember that gender identity “may be fluid‚ so remain attuned to and supportive of shifts in pronouns.”National Review said the State Department replied to its request for comment saying that it doesn’t comment on leaked internal documents. How are folks reacting?Reader comments underneath National Review's report weren't exactly sympathetic to the sentiments expressed in Blinken's cable:"Blinken's pronouns are nitwit/moron‚" one commenter wrote."I’m left to wonder what any of this has to do with foreign policy‚" another commenter pointed out. "Tell the ninnies to show up for work‚ and leave their sex lives at home for the day. Or find another job.""The left is all about social deconstruction‚" another commenter opined."IDIOT. And not even remotely useful‚" another commenter declared.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Blood clots‚ neurological disorders‚ and swollen hearts: Multinational study on COVID vaccines paints a damning picture

Those skeptical of the assertion that COVID-19 vaccines were altogether safe and effective — a claim long advanced by once-trusted government agencies‚ pharmaceutical companies‚ and the media amidst a historic censorship campaign targeting dissenters and critics — appear to have had their doubts once again validated. A damning new peer-reviewed multinational study examining data from nearly 100 million people has not only affirmed the well-documented link between the COVID-19 vaccines and increased risk of heart conditions but has also highlighted troubling links between the AstraZeneca‚ Moderna‚ and Pfizer vaccines and medical conditions such as Guillain-Barré syndrome‚ brain and spinal cord inflammation‚ Bell's palsy‚ and convulsions. The study was conducted by the Global COVID Vaccine Safety Project — a Global Vaccine Data Network initiative supported by both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services — and published last week in the esteemed journal Vaccine‚ the official journal of the Japanese Society for Vaccinology. Lead author Kristýna Faksová of the Department of Epidemiology Research at the Danish State's Serum Institute was joined by researchers from various other countries including Argentina‚ Australia‚ Canada‚ Finland‚ New Zealand‚ and Scotland in assessing whether there was a greater risk of 13 neurological‚ blood‚ and heart-related medical conditions occurring following the receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine. According to the observed versus expected rates study‚ which included data on 99 million people vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 across eight countries‚ "the risk up to 42 days after vaccination was generally similar to the background risk for the majority of outcomes; however‚ a few potential safety signals were identified." "Bell's palsy had an increased OE ratio after a first dose of [Pfizer's] BNT162b2 and [Moderna's] mRNA-1273‚" said the study. "There were also increased OE ratios for febrile seizures following a first and second dose of mRNA-1273 ... and for generalized seizures following first mRNA-1273 dose and fourth BNT162b2 dose." The researchers observed a trend of Guillain-Barré syndrome and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis — a type of blood clot in the brain — cases after viral vector vaccines such as the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine‚ which Canada and European nations ditched in spring 2021 over reports of dangerous blood clots. The researchers specifically found a "statistically significant increase in GBS cases within 42 days after a first ChAdOx1 dose." Whereas they expected to find 76 GBS "events‚" they found well over twice as many. The University of Auckland‚ which hosts the Global Vaccine Data Network‚ noted that the researchers found possible "safety signals for transverse myelitis (inflammation of part of the spinal cord) after viral vector vaccines and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (inflammation and swelling in the brain and spinal cord) after viral vector and mRNA vaccines." However‚ the paper cautioned that "although some case reports have suggested a possible association between COVID-19 vaccination and ADEM‚ there was no consistent pattern in terms of vaccine or timing following vaccination‚ and larger epidemiological studies have not confirmed any potential association." The study did however confirm previously established safety signals for myocarditis and pericarditis following mRNA vaccination‚ highlighting "significantly higher risks of myocarditis following the first‚ second and third doses of BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273 as well as pericarditis after the first and fourth dose of mRNA-1273‚ and third dose of ChAdOx1‚ in the 0–42 days risk period." According to the study‚ "Potential underreporting across countries may have led to an underestimation of the significance of potential safety signals" for viral vector and mRNA vaccines alike. "The size of the population in this study increased the possibility of identifying rare potential vaccine safety signals‚" Faksová said in a statement. "Single sites or regions are unlikely to have a large enough population to detect very rare signals." The researchers claimed that the "safety signals identified in this study should be evaluated in the context of their rarity‚ severity‚ and clinical relevance." Additionally‚ they noted the "overall risk–benefit evaluations of vaccination should take the risk associated with infection into account‚ as multiple studies demonstrated higher risk of developing the events under study‚ such as GBS‚ myocarditis‚ or ADEM‚ following SARS-CoV-2 infection than vaccination." Blaze News reported earlier this month that a peer-reviewed study published Jan. 24 in the Springer Nature Group journal Cureus suggested the COVID-19 vaccines were a rushed product with an "unacceptable harm-to-reward ratio." The study noted that the kinds of serious adverse events that would be factored into a risk-benefit comparison "have often been wrongly ascribed to COVID-19 rather than to the COVID-19 mRNA vaccinations." "Misattributions of SAEs to COVID-19 often may be due to the amplification of adverse effects when mRNA injections are followed by SARS-CoV-2 subvariant infection‚" said the study. "Injuries from the mRNA products overlap with both [post-acute COVID-19 syndrome] and severe acute COVID-19 illness‚ often obscuring the vaccines' etiologic contributions." Like Blaze News? Unruly migrants at Randall's Island shelter attack NYPD officers attempting to make an arrest: Video

A mob of unruly illegal migrants at a New York City migrant shelter attacked New York Police Department officers who were attempting to make an arrest on Thursday‚ according to video of the assault shared on social media. BREAKING: Illegals ass*ult NYPD officers in the Randall\u2019s Island migrant housing facility — (@) The footage captured several NYPD officers struggling to handcuff one individual who‚ according to the New York Post‚ was not supposed to be at the facility. The male suspect was reportedly asked by officials to leave the premises but refused. The two-minute video showed the suspect resisting arrest as police officers and shelter security staff attempted to keep the mob of disorderly adult male migrants under control. Many angry onlookers hurled various objects‚ including backpacks and bottles‚ at the officers while other migrants furiously shouted. At one point‚ a female officer was struck in the head by a backpack‚ the video showed. The same female officer later ducked and narrowly avoided being hit by a second bag.The suspect was ultimately carried out of the facility by several law enforcement officers guarded by the shelter's security staff. The Post reported that it is unclear what led up to the chaotic scene. The NYPD stated that no one was hospitalized as a result of the incident.Randall's Island began housing illegal migrants in August. Last month‚ a 24-year-old migrant was fatally stabbed at the shelter during an attack involving four other asylum-seekers. Progressive Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced in late January that three men — Moises Coronado‚ 27; Ferneys Horta‚ 33; and Anthony Navas‚ 27 — were charged with first-degree manslaughter and gang assault for their alleged involvement in the murder‚ WNBC reported."As alleged‚ Dafren Canizalez was brutally killed in an attack by a group‚ who trapped and chased him until he collapsed‚" Bragg stated. "Everyone who comes into our city deserves to be safe‚ and we will continue to hold those who commit serious acts of violence accountable."Migrants residing at the makeshift shelter told the Post in January that some asylum-seekers have split into "camps" based on their ethnicity. One migrant told the Post‚ "Everyone has a knife.""There is a lot of stealing‚" another migrant claimed. "If you put your phone down or your charger for a moment‚ they take it immediately. Any of your stuff that you don't have they will take. … There is definitely camps."United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials recently stated that at least two of the illegal migrants believed to be involved in a January mob attack against two NYPD officers are members of the Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua‚ Blaze News reported. The two men — Wilson Juarez‚ 21‚ and Kelvin Servita-Arocha‚ 19 — were accused of assaulting a pair of police officers in Times Square.Like Blaze News?
