Trans-identifying male causes multiple injuries during girls' high school basketball game‚ prompting opponents to forfeit

A girls' high school basketball team forfeited a game earlier this month after several girls suffered injuries while playing against a trans-identifying male opponent. The Collegiate Charter School of Lowell in Massachusetts forfeited a game against KIPP Academy on February 8 after a third player was injured. The decision to end the game was made by the team's coach at halftime."The bench was already depleted going into the game with the 12-player roster having four players unable to play‚" a press release from the school read. "When the coach saw three more girls go down in the first half‚ leaving him with five players‚ he made the call to end the game early.""Once the third was injured‚ the remaining five expressed concern to him about continuing to play‚" it continued. "The players feared getting injured and not being able to compete in the playoffs."The charter school said it supported its coach's decision to end the game early. It also noted that it values "inclusivity and safety for all students.""We take the standards set by the [Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association] and our Board of Trustees seriously and strive to uphold them on and off the court‚" the school added. "We also follow the guidance from the MIAA and state laws regarding equity and access for all student-athletes."The MIAA handbook declares that "a student shall not be excluded from participation on a gender-specific sports team that is consistent with the student's bona fide gender identity." However‚ it also notes that students cannot be "included on the roster solely for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in competitive athletics."Fox News Digital reported that the four players who could not participate were injured during a previous game‚ but it is unclear whether their injuries occurred during plays involving the male KIPP Academy athlete‚ the news outlet stated.Video from the game shared on social media showed a male KIPP Academy player ripping the ball away from a female charter school athlete. The girl attempted to keep hold of the ball but was ultimately forced to the ground. The female student‚ failing to stand up‚ then clutched her back in pain‚ the video captured.A source told Fox News Digital that the male Kipp Academy player is over six feet tall and has facial hair. The news outlet reported that the charter school had previously played against KIPP Academy and was aware that a trans-identifying student was on the team's roster.Former competitive swimmer Riley Gaines shared the video on her X account and stated‚ "A man hitting a woman used to be called domestic abuse. Now it's called brave. Who watches this &; actually thinks this is 'compassionate‚ kind‚ and inclusive?'" Trans-identified male player for Kipp Academy in MA injured 3 girls before half time causing Lowell Collegiate Charter School to forfeit.

A man hitting a woman used to be called domestic abuse. Biden’s USDA uses taxpayer funds to research garbage-fed crickets as ‘sustainable protein source’

The Biden administration’s Department of Agriculture awarded a $131‚500 grant last year to a firm that makes cricket protein powder made for human consumption‚ the Daily Caller News Foundation reported. In July 2023‚ the grant was awarded to Mighty Cricket to fund a St. Louis-based cricket farm‚ where the insects would be fed landfill “food waste.”According to the grant’s summary‚ the research would address “the need for more cost-efficient production of crickets as a sustainable protein source.” It notes that the cost of cricket protein is more than twice the amount of other protein alternatives‚ citing a “lack of innovation and economies of scale.”“Unlike the beef‚ pork‚ poultry‚ and soy industries‚ there has been very little innovation invested into farming crickets‚” the summary stated. “Most of the global production occurs in Thailand‚ where goods are generally produced via manual labor versus automation.”It claimed that manual labor costs‚ electricity‚ and feed are driving up the cost of cricket protein. The research aims to address feed costs and “the need to recapture food waste in the U.S.‚ diverting a portion of food waste from landfills.”“The problem of food waste is significant‚” it continued. “According to the USDA‚ in the United States‚ food waste is estimated at between 30-40 percent of the food supply.”The agency’s Economic Research Service found approximately 133 billion pounds‚ or $161 billion worth of food‚ was lost at the retail and consumer levels in 2010. Food waste makes up roughly 22% of municipal landfill waste‚ according to the USDA.Mighty Cricket believes it could use this food waste as a “huge opportunity” to feed insects “at lower cost than what is available on the market” and then pass those savings along to consumers of its cricket protein. The grant summary argued that other protein sources pose a “substantial strain on the ecosystem‚ requiring unsustainable quantities of water‚ land‚ and feed as inputs.”“Furthermore‚ animal based proteins are also a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions‚ estimated at 14.5% of all greenhouse gas emissions‚” it claimed. To keep up with population growth‚ Mighty Cricket believes the food production industry needs to “dramatically shift towards resource conservation.” It noted that the United Nations “recognizes edible insects as a viable alternative to producing food and feed security.”As part of the proposed research‚ the company “will collect data on how the cricket feed produced from waste performs compares to standard feed on the market.”“The success of the project will be measured on the following objectives: Cost savings of the feed‚ cricket growth‚ and mortality rates. Ultimately‚ the company hopes to lower production costs and the environmental footprint of the U.S. food system‚” the grant summary concluded. The Columbia Missourian reported that Mighty Cricket processes at least 800 crickets per day. According to the company’s website‚ it sells cricket flour‚ oatmeal‚ and vanilla- and chocolate-flavored protein powders. Its products are soy-‚ eggs-‚ dairy-‚ gluten-‚ and peanut-free.Neither the USDA nor Mighty Cricket responded to the DCNF’s request for comment.Like Blaze News? Yale apologizes for 'formative ties to slavery and the slave trade' but says school never owned any slaves

Yale University formally apologized for the school's past ties to slavery‚ stating that slavery helped erect its oldest building on campus. In lengthy document from the school's President Peter Salovey‚ the institution issued an apology‚ specifically for Yale’s "formative ties" to slavery and the slave trade."We recognize our university’s historical role in and associations with slavery‚ as well as the labor‚ the experiences‚ and the contributions of enslaved people to our university’s history‚ and we apologize‚" the president wrote. "Yale’s leaders‚ over the course of our early history‚ participated in slavery‚" he added. The school said it would use what it had learned to address the "effects of slavery in society today‚" which appears to have resulted in providing money for programs‚ disseminating race-based historical re-education‚ and providing postmortem degrees.Yale's research began in October 2020 and produced a massive catalogue of historical findings on its website. The school found that although there are "no known records of Yale University owning enslaved people‚ many of Yale’s Puritan founders owned enslaved people."The university said it identified over 200 slaves‚ both black and native American‚ some of whom "participated in the construction of Connecticut Hall‚ the oldest building on campus.""Others worked in cotton fields‚ rum refineries‚ and other punishing places in Connecticut or elsewhere‚ and their grueling labor benefited those who contributed funds to Yale‚" the school also stated.Prominent members of Yale were said to have helped prevent the development of a black college in 1831‚ which "would have been America’s first Black college."The school also took issue with its own Civil War memorial that honors those who fought for the North and South but does not have "any mention of slavery or other context."In terms of ongoing commitments to ensure "inclusive economic growth‚" Yale will "expand educational pathways for young scholars" in its region.Programs included a fellowship program to help fill at least 80 vacant teaching positions. The program would help aspiring teachers obtain a master's degree in teaching in exchange for working in the local New Haven school system for three years. The school will also fund the Yale and Slavery Teachers Institute Program‚ which the school said will help "K-12 teachers in New England meet new state mandates for incorporating Black and Indigenous history" into their lesson plans.Along with funding for historically black colleges and universities and other law and fellowship programs‚ the school will award M.A. Privatim degrees to two men who "studied theology at Yale‚ but because they were Black‚ the university did not allow them to register formally for classes or matriculate for a degree."Yale will also transform the aforementioned Connecticut Hall into a "place of healing and communion as the new home for Yale Chaplaincy."The school will also commission art that is meant for "recognizing enslavement."Like Blaze News? Male steals hundreds in cash from Girl Scout's cookie stand; cops are disgusted: 'We are talking about a little girl here'

A male was caught on surveillance video stealing a bag containing $450 in cash from a Girl Scout's cookie stand in Fort Worth‚ Texas‚ last week‚ KDFW-TV reported. What are the details? The theft occurred around 2 p.m. Feb. 11 outside a Walmart on Clifford Street near White Settlement Road‚ the station said.Police shared the video showing the hooded suspect exiting the store and then grabbing the cash from the cookie stand and running off‚ KDFW said‚ adding that the suspect hasn't been caught. But cops did provide an image of the suspect in the hopes that someone can identify him‚ the station said."We are talking about a little girl here‚" Officer Brad Perez with the Fort Worth Police Department told KDFW. "A little girl trying to sell Girl Scout cookies."Perez added to the station that "around $450 in cash" was stolen and that individuals have been reaching out to the the department "to see how they can help."KFDW said the suspect took the bag from a cart behind the cookie table.'It almost made me cry'The station chatted with third-grader Brooke Martinez — who is in a different Girl Scout troop than the victim — as she sold cookies Monday at a bowling alley in Fort Worth.Brooke's grandmother‚ Kathy Taylor‚ watched the video of the theft and told KDFW that "it almost made me cry. Wyoming GOP sides with the health cartel to keep parents in the dark

Wyoming GOP sides with the health cartel to keep parents in the dark

Wyoming Republicans recently blocked efforts to ban the chemical castration of minors. Naturally‚ legislators also want to ensure that parents have limited access to the medical records of their children. This way‚ state authorities are free to promote vaccination of minors — and anything else that disguises the spirit of the age in the cloak of medical care. That is the sorry situation in what should be the most conservative state in the country. Anthony Fauci’s worldview is thriving in the Cowboy State. Last spring‚ Wyoming parents in the Banner Health system in Natrona County‚ where Casper is the county seat‚ received a startling notice. They were informed they would no longer have access to their children’s online health records after their 12th birthdays. Parents were locked out of the patient portals. The hospital also reserved the right to withhold other information‚ even if requested. Given the insidious trend of grooming children and keeping parents in the dark — both in the context of education and health care — state Rep. Jeanette Ward (R-Casper) called Banner for clarification. She was told that state law provides that kids 12 and older may obtain tobacco cessation treatments without parental consent. The trouble is that the health care provider was using that fairly narrow provision as an excuse to block all access to all records online. It isn’t hard to imagine all sorts of “public health” agenda items — from abortions and castrations to forced vaccinations — that the health care cartel would love to shield from parents. At the first opportunity‚ Ward introduced HB 44 to repeal the portion of the law that keeps tobacco cessation treatments from parents' knowledge. It also ensured that vaccination or medical treatment of a minor child without parental consent would be categorically illegal. The bill was defeated in the state House Labor and Health Committee by a 5-4 vote‚ with four Republicans joining the lone Democrat on the panel to purposely keep medical records from parents. When Ward filed a motion on the floor to have the bill reassigned to another committee‚ it was defeated by one vote‚ with Speaker Albert Sommers siding with the medical cartel. This in a legislative chamber with a 57-5 GOP majority. Republicans against parental choice Wondering what excuse the Republicans might offer for such a dastardly vote‚ I watched some of the committee members’ comments. Their excuses were even more disquieting than the vote itself. In fact‚ the very reason you and I want to cement parental rights over a child’s medical care — namely‚ to avoid more COVID fascism and coerced government medical experiments — is exactly why they want to maintain state control over children’s medical records and keep parents in the dark. “I’m also worried from hearing from the experts that this maybe has some consequences in a public health emergency that we haven’t really thought about‚” mused Rep. Ken Clouston‚ one of the bill’s opponents. What sort of “public health emergency‚” in Clouston’s estimation‚ would engender a need for secrecy to shield a child’s medical records from the parents? And who are these experts he cites? The same people who thought lockdowns‚ masks‚ and mRNA were “safe and effective"? The same people who believe in forced vaccination and experimentation‚ including on children without a parent’s consent? Evidently so. Rep. Kevin O’Hearn‚ who also hails from Natrona County‚ essentially asserted that sometimes the state and the health bureaucrats know what’s better for your children than you do. “We have heard from some professionals that some parents aren’t as involved with their children as they should be. … There are some parents who need more skills than they actually have‚” O’Hearn said in a shocking moment of candor. So yes‚ it’s as bad as it sounds. These Republicans actually do believe in keeping parents in the dark because they believe the state knows better. We need not imagine what sorts of medical issues they have in mind. Endangered parental consent New York is moving to allow vaccination of children without parental consent. Washington‚ D.C.‚ and San Francisco already allow minors to get COVID shots without their parents’ knowledge. Liberals view parents as a roadblock between children and their efforts to groom them intellectually‚ emotionally — and now‚ with gender dysphoria and mass vaccination‚ even physically. The unsettling proposition of a Republican who doesn’t know what a woman is also thinking medical records should be shielded from parents is something to behold. This is particularly a problem with school-based health clinics. Recently‚ the CDC‚ as part of its “Whole School‚ Whole Community‚ Whole Child” agenda‚ has been sending federal subsidies to states to set up permanent‚ comprehensive clinics in schools. What do you think is the purpose? Who in their right mind thinks that the CDC‚ with its decisions on COVID and transgenderism‚ has your child’s best interests at heart? A troubling pattern is emerging. The same Republicans last year voted down a bill to excise CDC influence from Wyoming. They want your child to be subjected to the whims of the Centers for Disease Control and wish to vanquish all parental resistance. Keeping Mom and Dad in the dark is the first step.Wyoming’s Republican leadership refused to support Chloe’s law banning chemical castration and instead opted for a weak bill only banning physical castration — a bill that was full of exceptions and had no teeth in it. Last week‚ 20 Republicans joined with the Democrats to deny conservatives a two-thirds majority needed to pass HB 50‚ which would have statutorily defined a woman as … a woman. Three Republican committee members who voted down the parental rights bill — Forrest Chadwick‚ Dan Zwonitzer‚ and Mike Yin — also voted against the “What Is a Woman Act.” The same members just voted against an amendment to the budget bill that would have defunded gender studies at the University of Wyoming. The unsettling proposition of a Republican who doesn’t know what a woman is also thinking medical records should be shielded from parents is something to behold. The cruel irony of those pushing medical secrecy on parents under the guise of public health emergencies is that last week‚ these very same members voted down a bill that would simply require the governor to obtain consent from the legislature before declaring such an emergency. So after everything we have been through with Covid fascism‚ we can’t even get a bill passed in Wyoming with a 57-5 gop majority to require consent of the legislature for a public health emergency. ⁦@jwforw⁩ amendment voted down 27-34. ⁦@WYFreedomCaucus⁩ ⁦ — (@) Republicans who believe parents should be rendered deaf‚ dumb‚ and blind during a public health emergency are the same deviants who want to make it easier to declare an emergency in the first place. It’s almost as if there is a “one health” agenda at work here. Anthony Fauci’s worldview is thriving in the Cowboy State.

Harvard professor needed ‘police protection’ after publishing study condemned by Claudine Gay

Although Claudine Gay has since stepped down as the president of Harvard University‚ she once wielded her powers to further the woke agenda. Many are aware of Gay’s refusal to address anti-Semitism on campus and the alleged plagiarism in her academic work‚ but fewer are familiar with how she attempted to destroy the career of Dr. Roland G. Fryer‚ a professor of economics at Harvard. What was Dr. Fryer’s crime? Publishing research that found no racial disparities behind the killings of unarmed black men in Houston‚ Texas.Pat Gray plays a clip of an interview of Dr. Fryer explaining his research: “Yes‚ we saw some bias in the low-level uses of force — everyday pushing up against cars and things like that — people seemed to like that result. But we didn't find any racial bias in police shootings‚” Dr. Fryer explained‚ adding that this research took place over a year’s time and involved the help of eight others. However‚ because the result wasn’t what he expected‚ he restarted the research with eight new RAs. “They came up with the same exact answer‚” he said‚ but when he published his findings‚ “all hell broke loose.” “It was a 104-page‚ dense academic economics paper with a 150-page appendix‚ okay? It was posted for four minutes when I got my first email [saying]‚ ‘This is full of s***’ ... and I wrote back‚ ‘How'd you read it that fast?!’"“I had colleagues take me to the side and say‚ ‘Don't publish this; you'll ruin your career‚”’ Dr. Fryer continued. “I said to them‚ ‘If the second part showed bias‚ do you think I should publish it then?’ and they said‚ ‘Yeah‚ then it would make sense.”’Thankfully‚ Dr. Fryer wasn’t swayed by his colleagues and responded with‚ “I guarantee you‚ I’ll publish it.” His boldness didn’t come without consequence though. “I lived under police protection for about 30 or 40 days‚” he said. “I was going to the grocery store to get diapers with an armed guard. It was crazy.” “People don’t like the truth‚” says Pat.“All he did was present facts‚ but that'll get you in trouble‚” agrees Keith Malinak. To hear more of Dr. Fryer’s story‚ watch the clip below. Biden's new plan for the border crisis accidentally undercuts his own narrative: Report

President Joe Biden is reportedly considering using executive authority to stymie the flow of migrants into the United States. For years‚ the Biden administration denied the border crisis existed‚ insisting many times that America's borders are "secure." But the White House began to sing a different tune when it became clear that the $118 billion supplemental appropriations bill — which would have given Ukraine more than $60 billion and border security just $20 billion — would never become law.To the objection of Republicans and anyone remotely familiar with immigration law‚ Biden told Congress to "just give me the power" because "I've done all I can do." And when the bill died in Congress‚ Biden tried to blame Donald Trump and Republicans for the border crisis. Now‚ Biden is considering issuing an executive order on the migrant crisis before his SOTU address. But according to Axios‚ Biden isn't planning to take action for the benefit of America. Instead‚ he's concerned about political optics.Axios reported:One bold move that Biden has considered‚ we're told‚ is an executive order that would dramatically stanch the record flow of migrants into the Southwest. This could even happen in the two weeks before the address‚ allowing Biden to say he took action while Republicans just talk.Politics aside‚ the plan to use executive authority undercuts the entire narrative that Biden and his defenders have parroted for years. It both acknowledged the crisis and proves that Biden's hands‚ in fact‚ are not tied.Meanwhile‚ it's important to remember that Biden already has the statutory authority to alleviate the migrant crisis. One of the most obvious legal tools is Section 1182(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.Section 1182(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act states:Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States‚ he may by proclamation‚ and for such period as he shall deem necessary‚ suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants‚ or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. The planned change in Biden's tone and the urgency to shift blame for a crisis that unfolded under Biden's watch is about countering fallout from special counsel Robert Hur's report‚ which brought increased scrutiny to Biden's age and mental acuity."Everyone around [Biden] is well aware — well aware — of the need to jack this campaign up‚" a source "close to Biden" told Axios. "The only way to deal with the negative aftershocks of the special counsel's report is for the president to be out there‚ to be visible — to be strong of presence and strong of voice."Like Blaze News? Core claim in LGBT narrative around 'gender-affirming care' busted in new Finnish study

Activists and profit-incentivized health professionals have long told parents with supposedly gender-dysphoric children that they have a choice between a "dead son or a live daughter" or between a "living son or a dead daughter." In other words‚ many parents have been presented with the choice of either subjecting their mentally compromised child to irreversible and sterilizing sex-change medical interventions or running the risk of their child committing suicide. A new peer-reviewed study in the esteemed quarterly journal BMJ Mental Health has put a nail in the coffin of this deceitful proposition. Finnish researchers wanted to figure out whether adolescents and young adults with "clinically significant" gender dysphoria were less likely to kill themselves if provided so-called "gender affirming" care. After analyzing all-cause and suicide deaths among a study population of 2‚083 of "gender-referred adolescents" and 16‚643 of matched controls‚ the researchers concluded that "medical gender reassignment does not have an impact on suicide risk." "All-cause and suicide mortalities did not differ between those gender referred who had and had not proceeded to [sex change surgeries] when psychiatric treatment history was accounted for‚" wrote the researchers. The researchers noted in their study that gender dysphoria‚ the mistaken sense that a person's so-called "gender identity" does not align with the person's sex‚ "is often accompanied by a desire to obtain hormonal and surgical treatment." The number of youths referred to clinics in hopes of satisfying that desire has skyrocketed along with gender-dysphoria diagnoses in recent years. This trend is unsurprising‚ given the popular mantras pushed nowadays by activist groups such as the ACLU and the Trevor Project along with fellow travelers in academia‚ government‚ and the health profession — asserting that sex-change operations on this overwhelmingly mentally ill group improve mental outcomes and save lives. In light of the increasing tendency to put kids under the knife and recognizing that "the all-cause mortality of gender-referred adolescents compared with matched controls has not been studied and [medical gender reassignment] in all-cause mortality is unknown‚" the scientists sought to figure whether genital mutilation and hormone therapy were indeed saving lives. "There were 55 deaths in the study population‚ including 20 suicides‚" said the study. "In bivariate analyses‚ all-cause mortality did not statistically significantly differ between gender-referred individuals and controls; however‚ the proportion of suicides was higher in the gender-referred group (0.3% vs 0.1%; p=0.004)." The study highlighted that psychiatric treatment was more common and frequent amongst the "gender-referred" cohort and that nearly 40% of the subjects in this group ultimately underwent sex-change surgeries. "The all-cause mortality rate among gender-referred individuals was 0.81 per 1000 person-years‚ while controls had a rate of 0.40 per 1000 person-years. The suicide mortality rate among gender-referred individuals was 0.51 per 1000 person-years‚ while controls had a rate of 0.12 per 1000 person-years‚" said the study. Despite the apparent deltas between the death rates on first inspection‚ multivariate analyses revealed "the all-cause mortality of gender-referred individuals did not differ from that of controls when registered sex and year of birth were accounted for or when psychiatric treatment contacts were added to the model." Those who died apparently tended to be males who frequently underwent psychiatric treatment. Extra to casting significant doubt on the claim that sex changes saves lives‚ the study also suggested that sex changes "have also not been shown to reduce even suicidal ideation‚ and suicidal ideation is not equal to actual suicide risk." Worse yet for the LGBT activists' case‚ the study notes that a 2011 peer-reviewed study in PLOS One actually revealed that "even when psychiatric morbidity was controlled for‚ participants diagnosed as transsexual in adulthood who had undergone both hormonal and surgical [sex-change surgeries] displayed increased suicide mortality compared with matched population controls." Cop accused of calling another police department to report fake crimes while on duty: 'He thought it was funny'

A cop in Alabama seems to have lost friends in law enforcement after he was accused of reporting fake crimes to a police department in another jurisdiction while on duty.On February 7‚ Christopher Eugene Sanspree Jr.‚ a 23-year-old officer with the Montgomery Police Department‚ was arrested in connection with allegations of filing reports about false incidents‚ also referred to as "swatting‚" a police press release claimed. According to reports‚ Sanspree made at least six swatting-related calls to police in Prattville‚ Alabama‚ about 15 miles northwest of Montgomery‚ during a three-month span last year.Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson claimed that the first call came on October 30 and the last known swatting-related call from Sanspree came in late December. During these calls‚ Sanspree apparently let his imagination run wild‚ allegedly reporting false incidents of a suspect wielding a machete‚ people breaking into vehicles‚ and discovering a man shot in the front yard of a home."These falsely reported incidents were serious in nature and required a substantial amount of resources to respond to each call as well as a considerable amount of investigative resources to be expended‚" the Prattville PD press release claimed.According to Chief Thompson‚ Sanspree admitted that "he thought it was funny."Thompson‚ however‚ was not amused. "Point blank‚ honest with you‚ it pissed me off‚" he told WSFA. "We have enough to deal with‚ with the image of police officers‚ already‚ and then we have somebody do something like this‚ and he was on duty when he was doing this.""It highly irritates me and other law enforcement chiefs that are trying to keep the image of law enforcement being a honorable career‚ and then we have people like this doing stunts like this‚" Thompson continued.Capt. Raymond Carson of Montgomery Police Department confirmed to the outlet that Sanspree has been with the department for just over two years‚ that he was on patrol duty when Prattville officers arrested him‚ and that he has since been placed on "administrative assignment."Sanspree faces six counts of false reporting an incident in the state of Alabama. However‚ investigators are also exploring whether Sanspree may be involved in similar swatting reports in Georgia‚ Massachusetts‚ and Wyoming. He has bonded out of custody. It is unclear when he is next expected to appear in court. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!
