Goldens In Golden: Retrievers Gather In Colorado For Cutest Dog Party Ever.
February 3rd marks National Golden Retriever Day‚ the holiday that celebrates America’s favorite dog breed. And Golden‚ Colorado‚ once again joined in by throwing its annual—and also adorable—Goldens in Golden event.
Despite snow and slush‚ thousands of golden retrievers and their owners filled the streets of the mountainside town. The guests of honor enjoyed complimentary pup cups‚ or “puppuccinos‚” swag bags filled with everything a dog would dream of‚ and cleverly designed photo ops. Afterward‚ people browsed through a vendor village and chatted with the other like-minded attendees.

“Golden retrievers are a hardy breed‚ and Coloradans are too‚” Megan Pinson told News 9. “I think they’re all embracing it.”
The event has been going strong since the inaugural dog party in 2019.
“It’s the best day‚ and I don’t even care about the weather‚ it’s so great‚” Katie Ford gushed. “I feel my heart exploding. They’re so cute‚ every one of them is so cute.”
According to News 13‚ people come from all around the country to honor their wet-nosed companions. They think the trip is worth it after everything their golden retrievers do for them.

“It’s a big Disneyland for them‚” saidCharlie Alfrey. “And‚ uh‚ yeah‚ for us‚ I’ll be honest with you. I’m kind of excited about this. It’s a vacation for us‚ too. We laugh that he’s brought us on his vacation. So we’re excited to be here.”
