'Blood everywhere': Man stabs fellow passenger with makeshift weapon during Alaska Airlines flight because 'mafia' was chasing him

A man aboard a recent Alaska Airlines flight constructed a makeshift weapon to stab a fellow passenger‚ according to multiple reports. The suspect allegedly said that he needed to protect himself because the "mafia had been chasing him."The bloody stabbing took place during an Alaska Airlines flight traveling from Seattle to Las Vegas on Jan. 24‚ 2024.Julio Alvarez Lopez was described as acting “fidgety” throughout the flight‚ according to the New York Post. He also repeatedly put on and removed his gloves and went to the bathroom for lengthy amounts of time during the plane's initial descent‚ the outlet reported. While returning to his seat‚ Lopez allegedly began punching and hitting a fellow passenger seated across the aisle from him. The suspect reportedly constructed a makeshift weapon comprised of pens wrapped together with rubber bands. Lopez is accused of using the improvised weapon in an attempt to stab the male passenger. During the alleged attack‚ Lopez is said to have hit the victim's wife as she shielded her 7-year-old son from the crazed assault. KLAS-TV reported‚ "The witness told investigators there 'was blood everywhere.' After the attack‚ Lopez started screaming‚ ‘I’ll only talk to the FBI‚' documents said."The victim survived the attack but was severely injured. There was a law enforcement officer aboard the plane who ordered Lopez to sit down in an empty seat as the flight crew "worked to provide flex cuffs and the defendant was restrained for the remainder of the flight‚" according to court documents. Lopez reportedly told law enforcement that he "felt the mafia had been chasing him the last few months."The suspect "admitted to never seeing" the victim before the violent incident "but planned on attacking and killing him" because he believed the man was part of a cartel.Lopez allegedly told the FBI that "he intended to kill" the victim and that he "had created the weapon he used" in the attack. Alaska Airlines confirmed "an altercation between two passengers" on Flight 604 on Jan. 24 "The incident happened as the aircraft was on descent for arrival in Las Vegas. The aircraft landed safely‚ and law enforcement took one passenger into custody after the plane arrived at the gate‚" the statement read. "We’re thankful for our crew for their professionalism in the handling of the incident."Lopez was charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon following his arrest at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas‚ Nevada. On Wednesday‚ Lopez was indicted by a federal grand jury on the assault charge.Lopez is scheduled to return to court on March 1. Warning: Come November 2024‚ illegal immigration might 'end the Democratic system as we know it'

Two of the most pressing concerns in America currently are illegal immigration and declining confidence in our electoral system. While these might seem like two separate issues — and in some ways‚ they are — they’re also inextricably connected. “Experts are warning that all of this illegal immigration could have a major impact on House Seats and the Electoral College‚” says Sara Gonzales. “Shortly after taking office in 2021‚ Joe Biden signed an executive order requiring that the United States Census Bureau factor in all residents‚ including non-citizens‚ as part of its calculation of the U.S. population.” While reports from the Federation of American Immigration Reform indicate that there are an estimated “16.8 million illegal immigrants living in the United States‚” the numbers are likely much‚ much higher. “There’s no way it’s 16.8 million‚” says Sara. “Every House seat represents an average of 761‚168 residents‚. So‚ the total number‚ they say‚ of illegal immigrants account for roughly 22 seats in the House.” “There's no way it's 22; it would be much more than that because there are many more illegal immigrants than” are being reported. “Right now‚ there are 219 Republicans and 212 Democrats in the House‚ and even then‚ you're going to expect at least some Republican defectors to [vote for] the other side. So‚ if we proceed with how it is now … you're ending the democratic system as we know it‚” says Sara‚ adding that Democrats are “clearly rigging the system.” “Democrats play to win‚” agrees Eric July. “If they gotta rig the rules to benefit themselves‚ that’s exactly what they’re going to do. They will lie‚ cheat‚ and steal.” “They look at the book of law‚ and the book of law tells them that‚ ‘Hey‚ we count everybody.’'""Okay‚ if they count everybody‚ then let's open the border by design‚” adds Jaco Booyens. 9-year-old girl kidnapped by couple in white van while she walked home from school in California‚ police say

California police said that a 9-year-old girl was kidnapped by a couple in a white van while she was walking home from school‚ but she was able to escape minutes later. The girl was walking from Jefferson Elementary School at about 1:45 p.m. when Sanger police said she was grabbed and thrown into a van. "The young girl began screaming and yelling‚" said Sanger Police Chief Greg Garner. Garner says that she was released by the couple a few blocks away at JFK Spray Park. "She was literally terrified‚ which is what prompted her to scream in the way she was screaming‚" he added. "I think that‚ well‚ it was a summation on my part‚ but I think that caused the people that perpetrated this crime to panic a bit‚ pull the car over and let her out." The girl ran home‚ where her parents called police. "The 9-year-old girl was remarkably frightened but also remarkably composed‚" he added. The girl told police that both of the alleged abductors wore a face mask and all-black clothing. The man sat in the passenger seat while the woman drove and was described as having light skin and short hair.Police said that the parents usually pick the girl up from school but that she had to walk home that day because school let out early. She lived only a few blocks from the school. Garner gave advice to parents about preparing children for similar situations. "Pre-advice that a parent can provide to their kid in a situation like this is better so they would be prepared if heaven forbid something like this happens‚" he said. Police are trying to identify the suspects and the car. Residents in the area have been asked to review their surveillance cameras for information that might be helpful to the investigation. Sanger is a city of about 26‚600 people located 13 miles from Fresno. Here's a news report about the kidnapping: Like Blaze News? US official flounders when facing questions about two-state solution

Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins indicated that the Biden administration is pushing for a two-state solution‚ but she floundered when facing questions about the issue from GOP Rep. Brain Mast of Florida."Have you analyzed that objectively?" Mast asked‚ regarding the support for a two-state solution.Jenkins reiterated that it is a policy "we do support."Mast continued to press the question."I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. Have I personally analyzed it?" Jenkins asked. As Mast continued pressing the issue‚ Jenkins answered‚ "No I have‚ not‚" adding the caveat‚ "if I understand your question." The congressman asked Jenkins if she was "representing support for a Palestinian state." "Yes‚" she replied."Have you analyzed that support objectively?" Mast asked."Yes‚" she replied.Moving on from that topic‚ Mast proceeded to repeatedly ask Jenkins what group she assessed "would lead that Palestinian state?"Jenkins said that matter would have to be considered but that she did not believe she was in a position to answer.Mast pressed the issue‚ but Jenkins said that she did not think she could answer the question‚ and that the matter is a piece of a bigger discussion.Mast tried asking Jenkins whether she had assessed who would helm a Palestinian state.Jenkins said the issue belongs to a broader discussion and she could not answer a question regarding what she particularly thinks. So‚ Mast kept asking."I support a two-state solution‚" Jenkins said.Mast still didn't let it go and kept asking."There will be an assessment of this question within the U.S. government‚" Jenkins said‚ noting that she is not in the position to answer‚ as it is a component of a bigger discussion. "Why do you think that we should make a country out of a people that just conducted a Jewish genocide four months ago?" Mast asked.Jenkins said that she was not sure what Mast was asking.Mast asked again‚ but Jenkins said that while she wanted to answer‚ she did not feel that she was in a position to answer those kinds of questions. She said that it is a question for the American government. In a post on X‚ Mast said‚ "The Biden Administration wants to create a Palestinian state‚ but REFUSES to say who would run it or whether they would be considered our ally. Here's the obvious truth: Hamas is the popularly elected government‚ and as a result‚ a Palestinian state would be run by terrorists." Like Blaze News?
