ABC Cheers Biden Meeting Families of Kidnapped Americans TWO MONTHS Late

It had been over two months since eight Americans were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7‚ and President Biden had only gotten around to meeting with their families on Wednesday. Of course‚ this long overdue sit-down was lauded by the liberal sycophants at ABC’s Good Morning America on Thursday. Meanwhile‚ at the same time‚ they were pushing for America to abandon Israel in their war against genocidal terrorists. ABC’s chief White House correspondent and Biden’s chief apple polisher Mary Bruce touted the President’s late meeting with the families: BRUCE: The U.S. and Israel are still cooperating on another front recovering the 135 hostages still held in Gaza. At the White House‚ President Biden meeting in person for the first time with the families of the Americans still missing. Jonathan Dekel-Chen whose 35-year-old son Segui was taken by Hamas praising Biden's response. JONATHAN DEKEL-CHEN: The U.S. administration is completely committed to getting the hostages out. We have no doubt about that. Bruce’s entire report was critical of Israel‚ so it was obvious who she was blaming when she concluded it by lamenting: “Now‚ eight Americans are still missing. Believed to be held by Hamas or another terrorist group. But with fighting escalating‚ hopes for another truce to secure the release of additional hostages is dimming.” She insinuated that even though Hamas was the party that breached the previous cease-fire agreement (multiple times). Elsewhere in her report‚ she tried to drive a wedge between America and Israel. “…President Biden is stepping up his criticism of Israel's military campaign. The President this week accusing Israel of‚ quote‚ ‘Indiscriminate bombing in Gaza’ and saying they're losing global support because of it‚” she declared. “The White House now trying to downplay those remarks‚ refusing to say whether the President’s statement was a formal assessment or off-hand remark‚” she added. “And struggling to explain why the U.S. would rush military aid to a country it thinks is engaged in indiscriminate attacks.” Bruce also beamed about her friend and colleague MaryAlice Parks “pressing” Spokesman John Kirby on why the U.S. was still supporting Israel: PARKS: If the President believes Israel is engaged in indiscriminate bombing‚ wouldn't there be an obligation from the U.S. to put new conditions on military aid? SPOX. JOHN KIRBY: Any bit of security assistance we give to any other country comes always comes with the expectation that the law of armed conflict is going to be respected and obeyed. PARKS: But what if they aren't‚ that isn't there an obligation for the U.S. to change the way that it's delivering military aid? KIRBY: That's a hypothetical that I'm not prepared to engage in right now. PARKS: It’s not hypothetical if he said “indiscriminate.” KIRBY: That’s a hypothetical‚ I'm not going to engage in. We have expressed our concerns. The President has publicly and privately with the Israelis. ABC seemed fairly intent on abandoning another U.S. ally to Islamic terrorists. Perhaps the events in Afghanistan weren’t enough for the network. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s Good Morning America December 14‚ 2023 8:05:52 a.m. Eastern MICHAEL STRAHAN: And we’re going to turn now to the Israel-Hamas war. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan is in Israel this morning meeting with officials as calls are growing for a humanitarian cease-fire. Let's go to our chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce. Good morning‚ Mary. MARY BRUCE: Good morning‚ Michael‚ and these meetings could be tense coming just days after President Biden issues his harshest rebuke yet; warning Israel to change its tactics or risk losing global support. [Cuts to video] This morning‚ President Biden's national security advisor touching down in Israel. WATCH: MRC’s Schneider and Graham SLAM NewsGuard’s Leftist Bias on Newsmax

MRC’s Dan Schneider joined Newsmax to highlight explosive MRC research on how ratings firm NewsGuard has become more biased than ever. For the third year in a row‚ MRC Free Speech America exposed NewsGuard’s worsening bias against right-leaning media. MRC researchers used the AllSides Media Bias Chart to analyze that NewsGuard provided a stellar average “credibility” rating of 91/100 for “left” and “lean left” outlets while slapping a low average of 65/100 on “right” and “lean right” outlets. MRC Free Speech America Vice President Schneider and NewsBusters Executive Editor Tim Graham went on Newsmax’s The Chris Salcedo Show to discuss NewsGuard’s real goals: choking off right-leaning media’s ad revenue and promoting leftist narratives. Schneider began‚ “NewsGuard‚ for years‚ has been silencing conservatives‚ directing ad revenue to liberals instead‚ choking off the life blood of conservative media outlets.” Schneider analyzed how NewsGuard’s gambit to silence the right was based on its overarching “zeal to defeat Donald Trump and any other conservative who wants to stand for basic American principles.” Salcedo asked Graham about the dangers of having entities like NewsGuard pushing “the narrative that the State is the gatekeeper of what is true and what is not.” Graham called it an Orwellian situation where outlets that falsely labeled the Hunter Biden laptop a “Russian hoax” or falsely blamed Israel for the al-Ahli hospital bombing in Gaza still receive perfect scores from NewsGuard. “This is not about guarding the truth. It’s all about guarding the legacy media.” Salcedo pointed out the radical difference between media coverage of former Trump White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon’s deferring congressional testimony while in legal negotiations over a subpoena‚ in contrast with Hunter Biden’s defiance this week of a congressional subpoena. Schneider explained‚ “NewsGuard has one standard‚ and that is: Defeat conservatives‚ promote liberals.” He continued‚ “President Biden — just recently — was saying if you defy a congressional subpoena‚ you should be indicted by his own DOJ.” But now that Biden’s son has done so‚ “everything will be covered‚ [be]cause he’s part of the Biden bribery scandal‚” Schneider added. Indeed‚ as Schneider emphasized‚ “This is how Joe Biden and his family have been making money for a long time‚ and NewsGuard’s covering for it.” He stated how that works. “NewsGuard’s not going to go back and re-rate all those media outlets that said that the Hunter Biden laptop was a hoax.” In fact‚ NewsGuard co-founder Steven Brill was among those who expressed his “personal [opinion]” that the Hunter laptop was a Russian “hoax” just prior to the 2020 election. Brill did this “based on his hatred of Donald Trump‚” Schneider said‚ and not based on evidence. “Their bias is so extreme that the left is willing to give our taxpayer dollars‚ millions of our taxpayer dollars‚ to NewsGuard and other outlets just like it‚” Schneider added‚ referring to previous federal grant money to NewsGuard. Graham stated in return that Republicans in Congress seem to be roused by this government-private censorship partnership‚ as they were by the now defunct Disinformation Governance Board. NewsGuard targets free speech — it is not an objective arbiter of truth. Conservatives are under attack. Contact your representatives and demand government agencies and Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency‚ clarity on so-called hate speech and equal footing for conservatives. If you have been censored‚ contact us at the Media Research Center contact form‚ and help us hold Big Tech accountable.

Hair on Fire: ABC FREAKS Over ‘No Evidence’ for Biden Impeachment‚ Implies It’s Illegal

As we saw on Wednesday morning and evening‚ ABC News was almost foaming on Thursday’s Good Morning America with a half-dozen shrieks of “no evidence” over House Republicans voting to formally launch an impeachment inquiry into President Biden and allegations he was enriched by foreign business dealings involving his corrupt son Hunter (and brother Jim). At one point‚ they even implied it might not even be constitutional. Co-host and former Clinton tool George Stephanopoulos huffed in a tease that the GOP has “present[ed] no evidence of wrongdoing by the President”. In a chyron for the actual segment‚ ABC even made sure to include the line “No Evidence of Wrongdoing.” Stephanopoulos had the setup there as well‚ seeming to imply the entire exercise could be legally dubious: “To Capitol Hill now where House Republicans voted last night to approve a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden despite presenting no evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors‚ which is the constitutional standard for impeachment.” With senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott busy advancing the cause of baby killing as “health care” and chief Biden apple polisher Mary Bruce covering for Team Biden on Israel‚ the task here fell to senior White House correspondent Selina Wang. Wang clearly understood the assignment: [T]here is still no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden‚ but House Republicans say this is about strengthening their investigations while Democrats say this is a sham intended to help his Republican rival‚ Donald Trump. This morning‚ House Republicans are pushing ahead with an impeachment inquiry into President Biden despite finding no evidence of wrongdoing in nearly a year of investigations.. She made sure to keep Hunter’s life of ruin as esoteric as possible: “The inquiry is focused on allegations that the President abused his power to enrich his family and whether he made decisions while Vice President to boost his son Hunter’s businesses...[H]e has been under scrutiny by Republicans for his work with companies in Ukraine and China.” Since it had been a few seconds‚ Wang again had to say the phrase: “So far‚ there’s no evidence of the President’s involvement.” Wang did run soundbites from both Hunter Biden and two congressional Democrats plus three from Republicans (including two from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer). Her conclusion about President Biden’s formal reaction showed how in sync ABC is with the left: President Biden issued a scathing statement‚ saying House Republicans are focused on attacking him with lies instead of making American lives better. Now‚ some Democratic lawmakers tell me that that contrast could even help the President’s re-election chances in 2024. As for CBS Mornings and NBC’s Today‚ they varied in degrees of defense‚ indifference‚ and surprising fairness. CBS co-host and Democratic donor Gayle King made sure to do her part in a tease: “House Republicans open an impeachment inquiry into President Biden‚ despite a lack of evidence in connection to his son Hunter.” The show’s “Eye Opener” usually ends with a late-night comedy show clip‚ so they naturally selected CBS’s Late Show host Stephen Colbert mocking Republicans. Congressional correspondent Nikole Killion had the only network mention that the regime (via inept Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre) admitted “President Biden was familiar with what his son was going to say before he showed up here at the Capitol.” Like she did on Wednesday morning‚ she stayed away from the hijinks and framed both sides (though only at a surface-level). In the “Eye Opener at 8‚” King again doubled down: “Hunter Biden speaks on Capitol Hill before House Republicans vote to approve an impeachment inquiry into President Biden despite zero evidence of wrongdoing.” NBC co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb were even more measured (click “expand”): GUTHRIE [in tease]: Republicans making it official‚ escalating their investigation of the President. KOTB [in tease]: Setting up a major election year showdown for the White House. (....) KOTB [in tease]: Battle lines drawn. HOUSE REPUBLICAN [at dais] The resolution is adopted. KOTB [in tease]: House Republicans formally authorize their impeachment inquiry into President Biden. COMER: I think that sent off a message loud and clear to the White House. KOTB [in tease]: The focus: Did the President benefit from his son Hunter’s business dealings? Democrats blasting the move as a baseless stunt. CONGRESSMAN DANIEL GOLDMAN (D-NY) [on NBC News NOW’s Meet the Press NOW‚ 12/13/23]: The Republicans are doing this for political retribution at Donald Trump’s direction. KOTB [in tease]: This morning‚ what happens next‚ what it all means for the President‚ and the race for the White House. (....) KOTB: But first‚ let’s move to our top story: that vote by Congress to launch an official impeachment inquiry into President Biden. It fell strictly along party lines. All 221 Republicans voting yes. All 212 Democrats voting no. GUTHRIE: The focus of it all? Accusations the President profited during his time as Vice President from the business dealings of his son Hunter‚ something the White House and Hunter Biden have strongly denied. The vote came on the same day that Hunter Biden defied a subpoena to speak with lawmakers at a closed door hearing. Senior Capitol Hill correspondent Garrett Haake made sure to swing the pendulum back: “[T]his impeachment inquiry adds some new muscle to an investigation already been underway for more than a year‚ but has failed so far to connect President Biden to any wrongdoing.” Haake also went the vague route in explaining what Hunter was up to‚ saying the GOP’s “probe focuses on...Hunter’s business dealings abroad...but‚ so far‚ they’ve been unable to demonstrate any concrete evidence that directly connects President Biden to any wrongdoing.” At least Haake closed by noting Republican concerns about Hunter Biden’s line on how his father “wasn’t financially involved in his businesses‚ speculating that‚ perhaps‚ he was somehow involved in other ways”. Haake came back in the second hour with one more mention of how the GOP “has so far failed to connect President Biden to any wrongdoing.” To see the relevant transcripts from December 14‚ click here (for ABC)‚ here (for CBS)‚ and here (for NBC).

8 Big Dog Breeds That Don’t Drool: History‚ Pictures‚ &; Info

Click to Skip Ahead Classification Details Top 8 Big Dog Breeds That Don’t Drool For some‚ their love of certain types of dogs is strong enough that the drooling isn’t a big deal. For others‚ it’s just not something they’re prepared to deal with at all due to personal preference or allergies. If you are in the latter category but love big dogs‚ you might consider adopting a dog that doesn’t slobber much. In this post‚ we’ll introduce you to some of the possibilities. How Are Non-Drooling Dogs Classified? Some breeds are notorious for drooling because of the type of mouth they have. Some dogs have jowls‚ and the slobber tends to collect them. Examples include Bloodhounds‚ Bulldogs‚ Saint Bernards‚ Dogue de Bordeaux‚ and Great Danes. This kind of facial structure is especially common in large breeds. On the other hand‚ some breeds are known for being minimal droolers. That said‚ just because a dog doesn’t drool much doesn’t mean they won’t ever drool at all—it happens to pretty much every dog now and again. It can happen during eating or drinking or when a dog is stressed‚ excited‚ or has just exercised. Top 8 Big Dog Breeds That Don’t Drool 1. Afghan Hound Image Credit: David Raihelgauz‚ Shutterstock Origin: Afghanistan Lifespan: 12–18 years Height: 25–27 inches Shedding: Minimal Temperament: Dignified‚ comical‚ sweet‚ independent As one of the world’s oldest breeds‚ the Afghan Hound has been around so long that it’s impossible to know exactly when they first came about. We do know‚ however‚ that they were developed in the area that is today made up of three countries: Afghanistan‚ Pakistan‚ and India‚ but Afghan Hounds are most commonly associated with Afghanistan. Here‚ they’ve long been developed in mountainous regions. Afghan Hounds aren’t known for being big droolers‚ and they don’t shed much‚ either‚ but they do need to be brushed regularly to prevent their long coats from getting matted and tangled. The elegant and dignified Afghan Hound exterior hides a sweet nature and a real sense of fun. 2. Doberman Pinscher Image Credit: DragoNika‚ Shutterstock Origin: Germany Lifespan: 10–12 years Height: 24–28 inches Shedding: Moderate Temperament: Loyal‚ alert‚ affectionate‚ courageous Doberman Pinschers originated in Germany in the 19th century where they were developed as protection dogs. The idea came from a breeder named Louis Dobermann who was also a taxman and needed a dog of impressive size and awe-inspiring appearance to make sure people paid up and didn’t give him any trouble on his rounds. In spite of their imposing looks‚ Dobermans are known for being very affectionate‚ devoted dogs that get along well with everyone in the family when properly socialized. They’re moderate shedders but don’t need to be brushed often and don’t tend to get smelly easily. Dobermans also have a low tendency to drool. 3. German Shorthaired Pointer Image Credit: Westwood‚ Shutterstock Origin: Germany Lifespan: 12–14 years Height: Up to 25 inches Shedding: Moderate Temperament: Friendly‚ eager to please‚ energetic‚ playful German Shorthaired Pointers were originally bred as gun dogs‚ and‚ after generations of work‚ the breed was finally considered “finished” in the 19th century. As hunting dogs‚ GSPs were developed to be agile‚ energetic‚ and eager to please—traits today’s GSPs have inherited from their ancestors. As such‚ if you’re looking for a dog with moderate exercise needs‚ a GSP isn’t the breed for you; these athletic‚ smart dogs need a lot of physical exercise and mental stimulation on a daily basis. They give an awful lot back‚ though—GSPs are often said to be very affectionate‚ happy-go-lucky dogs‚ and they’re not big droolers. However‚ you can expect them to shed moderately. 4. Briard Image Credit: kyliskova.cz‚ Shutterstock Origin: France Lifespan: 12 years Height: 22–27 inches Shedding: Minimal Temperament: Courageous‚ loyal‚ alert‚ adventurous A French pasture dog‚ the shaggy Briard was bred as a dependable herder and guardian. The breed’s name was inspired by Brie‚ a region famous for dairy—especially cheese. Though they may appear heavily set‚ Briards are remarkably agile and have stamina to spare‚ so they need to be with a family who will keep them busy. With a committed family‚ the Briard is faithful and loving‚ but with an independent streak. Since their long‚ wavy coats are prone to matting and tangling‚ Briards need frequent and thorough brushing‚ but they don’t shed much and they’re not typically slobbery. 5. Poodle (Standard) Image Credit: No-longer-here‚ Pixabay Origin: Germany Lifespan: 10–18 years Height: Over 15 inches Shedding: Minimal Temperament: Intelligent‚ energetic‚ versatile‚ family-oriented Though the Poodle is France’s national dog‚ Germany is the country of origin. Poodles were developed in Germany as water-retrieving dogs‚ which accounts for their water-resistant curly coats and webbed feet. They come in toy‚ miniature‚ and standard varieties‚ but the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) recognizes a fourth size: medium (moyen). Standard-sized Poodles are over 15 inches according to the American Kennel Club (AKC)‚ and they can grow up to around 24 inches. Poodles are considered to be hypoallergenic because they shed so little and are less likely to drool than some other medium-large dogs. Poodles are highly intelligent and are good-humored‚ spirited‚ and devoted when socialized. 6. Goldendoodle (Standard) Image Credit: Matthew Yoder‚ Shutterstock Origin: Australia &; United States Lifespan: 10–15 years Height: 20–24 inches Shedding: Minimal (usually) Temperament: Fun-loving‚ gentle‚ curious‚ goofy We shouldn’t forget that there are also plenty of mixed breeds that are medium or large in size and don’t drool or shed much. The Goldendoodle—a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle—is a fine example of this. Neither the Golden Retriever nor the Poodle are heavy droolers‚ but the Golden Retriever does shed year-round and more heavily during shedding seasons. Goldendoodle breeders tend to aim for a Poodle-like coat‚ which sheds very little‚ but some Goldendoodles are straight-haired‚ so this can vary. Goldendoodles were originally developed as service dogs‚ but they quickly became popular family companions thanks to their often gentle‚ patient‚ and fun-loving personalities. 7. Borzoi Image Credit: Bob63‚ Pixabay Origin: Russia Lifespan: 9–14 years Height: At least 26 inches Shedding: Moderate to heavy Temperament: Majestic‚ calm‚ elegant‚ independent The magnificent Borzoi comes from Russia where these dogs were commonly put to work as wolf hunters during the Romanov period. They were highly valued by the Russian royals‚ even to the extent that they were occasionally offered as special gifts by the Tzar. Queen Victoria of England may have been the recipient of Borzoi‚ which could explain how they came to Britain. Appearance-wise and in manner‚ this gigantic hound truly lives up to its regal reputation. After all‚ you can’t expect such a royal dog to be a big drooler‚ can you? That said‚ they do shed a moderate to heavy amount. The Borzoi tends to be quiet and dignified with plenty of independence but a lot of love to give. 8. Irish Wolfhound Image Credit: Jana Oudova‚ Shutterstock Origin: Ireland Lifespan: 6–10 years Height: 28–35 inches Shedding: Moderate Temperament: Graceful‚ calm‚ sensitive‚ loving The Irish Wolfhound is another ancient breed that was around before the Roman conquest of Britain. Like the Borzoi‚ Irish Wolfhounds once specialized in wolf hunting in addition to hunting large game. Today‚ however‚ the breed is one of the gentle giants of the dog world with a graceful‚ calm disposition‚ but their hunting instincts and prey drive are still present. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to meet an Irish Wolfhound‚ you’re sure to have been awe-struck. Appearing to be more around the same size as a small pony than a dog‚ a male Irish Wolfhound is a minimum of 32 inches tall‚ though females are slightly shorter. They do not drool much‚ and they shed moderately year-round. Conclusion And there we have it—eight very lovely and large breeds (and mixed breeds) that aren’t heavy droolers. If you’d like a big‚ non-drooly dog to join your family‚ we recommend looking into adoption from a shelter. Shelters are full of dogs big in both body and heart—pure breeds and mixed breeds—waiting for the perfect home. 20 Dog Breeds With Fluffy Tails: History‚ Pictures‚ &; Info

Click to Skip Ahead Classification Details The 20 Dog Breeds With Fluffy Tails Dogs with fluffy tails are popular and often attract a lot of attention because of their adorable appearance. You’ll find that many dog breeds with fluffy tails come from the same family. For example‚ dogs belonging to the Spitz family are known for having very bushy tails. However‚ there are many other dogs with different origins that have equally luxurious tails. Our list includes a diverse variety of dogs so that you can get a good idea of the different kinds of dogs that have fluffy tails. How Are Dog Breeds Classified? The American Kennel Club (AKC) classifies dogs into seven distinct groups: Herding Group Hound Group Non-Sporting Group Sporting Group Terrier Group Toy Group Working Group Classifications for these groups are based on shared features and the original purpose and function of the breeds. The AKC currently officially registers 200 dog breeds.1 Some purebred dog breeds may not be officially recognized and are included in the Miscellaneous Group. These breeds can be further developed to receive official recognition eventually. The 20 Dog Breeds With Fluffy Tails 1. Akita Image Credit: Olga Aniven‚ Shutterstock Origin: Japan Lifespan: 10–14 years Height: 24–28 inches Weight: 70–130 pounds Akitas are known for their dignified manner and strong loyalty to their families. They were originally bred to be guard dogs and were also considered to be symbols of good health‚ long life‚ and happiness. Akitas have a wide range of coat colors and combinations of colors and markings. They have a dense double coat that requires weekly brushing and seasonal blowouts. Keeping up with their grooming needs will ensure that their tails remain soft and fluffy. 2. Alaskan Malamute Image Credit: Liliya Kulianionak‚ Shutterstock Origin: Alaska Lifespan: 10–14 years Height: 23–25 inches Weight: 75–85 pounds Alaskan Malamutes are often mistaken for Siberian Huskies‚ but they’re two distinct dog breeds. One of the fastest ways to tell both dog breeds apart is that Alaskan Malamutes have curled tails‚ while Siberian Huskies have straight tails. Alaskan Malamutes are strong working dogs that enjoy having a job to do. They require a lot of exercise and make great running companions. They’re also very affectionate and develop strong bonds with their families. 3. American Eskimo Dog Image Credit: Scarlett Images‚ Shutterstock Origin: Germany Lifespan: 13–15 years Height: 9–19 inches Weight: 6–35 pounds Despite the name‚ the American Eskimo Dog originated in Germany as a descendant of the German Spitz. The American Eskimo Dog has a stunning‚ bright white coat and an equally bright personality. This breed is known for its intelligence‚ alertness‚ and cleverness. American Eskimo Dogs are often easy to train and are one of the more kid-friendly dogs in the Spitz family due to their smaller size and good-natured playfulness. American Eskimo Dogs are often depicted as dogs with pure white coats. However‚ purebred American Eskimo Dogs can also have a biscuit cream coat color. They come in three size categories: toy‚ miniature‚ and standard. 4. Bichon Frise Image Credit: Spill Photography‚ Shutterstock Origin: Canary Islands Lifespan: 14–15 years Height: 9–12 inches Weight: 12–18 pounds Bichon Frises are known for their all-around fluffiness. They’re irresistibly cuddly‚ and they love receiving attention. Bichon Frises have playful and social temperaments‚ and their easygoing personality makes them good pets for families with young children. Bichon Frises are a low-shedding breed‚ so they’re a popular choice for people with dog allergies. Their coats do require a lot of maintenance and need to be brushed at least every other day to prevent mats and tangles. 5. Chow Chow Image Credit: Flower_Garden‚ Shutterstock Origin: China Lifespan: 8–12 years Height: 17–20 inches Weight: 45–75 pounds Chow Chows are strong dogs. They were originally bred as working dogs that were capable of guarding‚ hauling‚ and hunting. They’re most known for their lion-like mane and dignified appearance. Chow Chows develop strong bonds with their families and tend to be more aloof toward strangers. They’re also quite clean and are known to housebreak easily. Chow Chows can either have a rough coat or a smooth coat. There aren’t any significant differences between the two varieties other than the coat texture. 6. Eurasier Image Credit: Pixabay Origin: Germany Lifespan: 12–16 years Height: 19–24 inches Weight: 40–70 pounds Eurasiers are medium-sized dogs with curly‚ fluffy tails. They can have black‚ fawn‚ red‚ sable‚ or wolf gray coats‚ and some can have additional black markings. Eurasiers are known for their calm personalities‚ and they’re very family-oriented dogs. They prefer spending their time with their families and can act aloof toward strangers and new people. Eurasiers require weekly brushing because burs and other debris are prone to getting caught in their coat. Brushing usually becomes more frequent during their shedding season. 7. Finnish Lapphund Image Credit: cynoclub‚ Shutterstock Origin: Lapland Lifespan: 12–15 years Height: 16–21 inches Weight: 33–53 pounds Finnish Lapphunds were bred to herd reindeer. These hardy dogs have thick coats and fluffy tails that helped keep them warm as they worked in the Arctic Circle. They’re extremely athletic and agile and were able to run through the snow as they herded livestock. Finnish Lapphunds are affectionate and social. Unlike many other Spitz breeds‚ Finnish Lapphunds aren’t aloof or shy around new acquaintances. They’re quite friendly and enjoy being around people. 8. Keeshond Image Credit: stockfoto‚ Shutterstock Origin: Holland Lifespan: 12–15 years Height: 17–18 inches Weight: 35–45 pounds Keeshonds are Dutch natives that were bred to guard goods on Dutch vessels. They’re medium-sized dogs and are most known for the “spectacles” on their faces. Keeshonds have distinct markings that trace their eyes‚ which makes it look like they’re wearing glasses. Keeshonds have bright and friendly personalities. They’re lively and athletic and enjoy accompanying their families on outings and meeting new people. 9. Newfoundland Dog Image Credit: B.Stefanov‚ Shutterstock Origin: Canada Lifespan: 9–10 years Height: 26–28 inches Weight: 100–150 pounds Newfoundland Dogs are powerful dogs with a high amount of stamina. They belong in the working group and are popular candidates for search and rescue work. Along with their large size‚ Newfoundland Dogs are known for their sweet and gentle personalities. They’re referred to as gentle giants and dog nannies for children. Newfoundland Dogs are intelligent and eager to please‚ so they’re relatively easy to train. However‚ caring for them comes with unique challenges due to their large size. So‚ they’re often recommended for more experienced dog owners. 10. Norwegian Elkhound Image Credit: Maxim_ka‚ Shutterstock Origin: Norway Lifespan: 12–15 years Height: 19–21 inches Weight: 48–55 pounds Norwegian Elkhounds have a long history of living alongside humans. They were extremely versatile and could be used as herders‚ hunters‚ guard dogs‚ and Viking shipmates. Despite having strong protective instincts‚ Norwegian Elkhounds are quite friendly. They can act reserved but tend to warm up pretty quickly to new people. These dogs have a lot of energy and are very intelligent‚ so they often do well in dog sporting events‚ like agility courses and herding trials. 11. Old English Sheepdog Image Credit: benwongp‚ Shutterstock Origin: England Lifespan: 10–12 years Height: 20–24 inches Weight: 60–90 pounds The Old English Sheepdog is a shaggy dog with a charming appearance. These dogs are smart and gentle‚ and they have an easygoing temperament. Despite looking bulky‚ Old English Sheepdogs are quite agile and nimble. So‚ some Old English Sheepdog puppies are naturally born without tails. 12. Pekingese Image Credit: RAFZILLA‚ Pixabay Origin: China Lifespan: 12–14 years Height: 6–9 inches Weight: 11–14 pounds Pekingeses are stocky toy dogs that are extremely devoted to their families. Even though they’re small‚ they can be very alert and become excellent watchdogs. Pekingeses have poofy tails‚ and their coats can grow out to a long length. They’re seasonal shedders and require thorough brushing every week to prevent mats and tangles from forming throughout their coats. You can choose to give a Pekingese a shorter haircut to make grooming more manageable. 13. Pomeranian Image Credit: Mary Swift‚ Shutterstock Origin: Germany and Poland Lifespan: 12–16 years Height: 6–7 inches Weight: 3–7 pounds The Pomeranian is the smallest breed in the Spitz family‚ but they have big personalities. They require brushing at least once a week‚ but many resort to daily brushing to prevent tangling. 14. Poodle Image Credit: Raywoo‚ Shutterstock Origin: Germany Lifespan: 10–18 years Height: 10–15 inches Weight: 5–70 pounds Poodles come in three sizes: toy‚ miniature‚ and standard. All sizes make wonderful companion dogs‚ and they’re often popular breeds for first-time dog owners. Poodles are extremely intelligent and respond well to praise. So‚ they’re relatively easy to train‚ and they have a lot of affection to give. Poodles were originally bred to hunt and retrieve‚ so they have a surprising amount of energy and stamina. Despite their elegant appearance‚ they’re quite agile and athletic and often enjoy participating in dog sports like dock diving. 15. Samoyed Image Credit: Chendongshan‚ Shutterstock Origin: Siberia Lifespan: 12–14 years Height: 19–24 inches Weight: 35–65 pounds Samoyeds have a graceful appearance but a playful and often goofy personality. These dogs are very friendly and social and love being around both humans and other dogs. They’re in the working group and were originally bred to be sled dogs. Samoyeds look like they’re smiling‚ but they were intentionally bred to have curled lips to prevent icicles from forming on their faces. Samoyeds have fluffy tails and thick coats that require regular brushing. They’re moderate shedders and shed heavily once or twice a year during their shedding seasons. 16. Shetland Sheepdog Image Credit: Lisjatina‚ Shutterstock Origin: United Kingdom Lifespan: 12–14 years Height: 13–16 inches Weight: 15–25 pounds Shetland Sheepdogs are quick-witted‚ agile herders with thick coats that protect them against harsh weather. Shetland Sheepdogs look like miniature versions of Collies‚ but they’re two separate breeds. Shetland Sheepdogs are balls of energy and require a lot of exercise. They’re intelligent and quick learners‚ and many enjoy participating in dog agility events. 17. Shiba Inu Image Credit: Sergiy Palamarchuk‚ Shutterstock Origin: Japan Lifespan: 12–15 years Height: 13–17 inches Weight: 17–23 pounds The Shiba Inu is an ancient Japanese dog breed that was bred for hunting. Shih Tzu Image Credit: Duncan Woodhouse‚ Shutterstock Origin: China Lifespan: 10–18 years Height: 9–11 inches Weight: 9–16 pounds Shih Tzus are sweet companion dogs that are very affectionate and outgoing. They’re great family pets and love to play and be lap dogs. They’re also fairly adaptable and can live happily in both urban and rural areas. Shih Tzus are low-shedding and can have very fluffy tails. However‚ they require a lot of brushing because their thin hair is prone to tangling. 19. Siberian Husky Image Credit: jpgordijn‚ Pixabay Origin: Siberia Lifespan: 12–14 years Height: 20–34 inches Weight: 35–60 pounds Siberian Huskies are a high-energy‚ spirited dog breed that was originally bred to pull sleds. They’re best suited for people with active lifestyles‚ as it can feel like they have an endless supply of energy. Siberian Huskies are also very friendly and playful. Though they have a loud bark and howl‚ they don’t tend to be reliable watch dogs because they can be welcoming of strangers. 20. Tibetan Mastiff Image Credit: Tatyana Kuznetsova‚ Shutterstock Origin: Tibet Lifespan: 10–12 years Height: 24–26 inches Weight: 70–150 pounds The Tibetan Mastiff is a fluffy giant dog breed. While they have an intimidating size and appearance‚ they’re relatively calm and collected‚ and they can be very sweet with their families. As they were originally bred as watchdogs‚ they do tend to become protective of their families and are much more reserved with strangers. Tibetan Mastiffs are highly intelligent‚ but they can be challenging to train because they tend to be independent and have a mind of their own. It’s important for them to establish trust with their handlers and they are much more responsive once a handler has earned their respect. Conclusion As you can see‚ dogs with fluffy tails come in all shapes‚ colors‚ and sizes. There are many other dog breeds with fluffy tails that we haven’t mentioned‚ and every dog breed has a different personality and an interesting history. So‚ it’s safe to say that each one is worth getting to know. As you become more familiar with them‚ you’ll find that there’s so much more to appreciate about them than just their adorably fluffy tails. Nurse claims 11-year-old carjacked her at gunpoint while she was making DoorDash delivery: 'Where is your mom?'

A woman in Virginia claims that two young people‚ one of whom is just 11 years old‚ carjacked her at gunpoint when she was out making a delivery for DoorDash.By day‚ 40-year-old Deon Smith usually works as a certified nursing assistant providing at-home care. But for the past two years‚ Smith has also been working for DoorDash from about 6 p.m. until midnight‚ a part-time job she picked up in the hopes that she could save enough to buy a house for herself and her 10-year-old daughter. After midnight on November 30‚ Smith was wrapping up her DoorDash shift but had one more stop to make at an apartment complex in South Richmond. Smith told Scripps News Richmond that when she parked her car at the complex‚ she spotted two "kids" outside. She left her car running‚ quickly dropped off the food‚ and returned to her vehicle — when the two kids she had seen earlier no longer appeared quite so child-like."The little one approached me. I was thinking he was asking for money or something‚" she recalled‚ "but little did I know he was pointing a gun at me asking for my keys."It turns out the "little one" was just 11 years old. "When he told me that he was going to shoot me‚ I was like‚ 'Are you serious? You want to kill somebody at your age?'" Smith said.Smith claimed she then tried to de-escalate the situation‚ asking the boy questions such as "where is your mom?" and "why are you out here this time of night?" but the questions did no good. The older boy‚ 18‚ crawled into the front seat of Smith's car and yelled at the younger boy to hop in.The suspects then demanded that Smith get in as well‚ but she refused. They then drove away‚ and Smith called the police. An hour later‚ Smith learned that the suspects' joyride didn't last long. According to a Richmond Police spokesperson‚ the boys crashed the vehicle in a "rural" area of Henrico County. There are also reports that the vehicle had been set on fire. Smith claimed she had just paid the vehicle off in September. The boys‚ described by police as "juveniles‚" sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the alleged incident and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. They were also arrested and charged with robbery.Meanwhile‚ the ordeal has left Smith without a vehicle‚ a vehicle she needs for her daytime and nighttime jobs. A GoFundMe account established by two individuals affected by Smith's loving care as a nurse claimed that Smith has not yet been able to return to either of her two jobs. But her prospects may be brightening. As of early Thursday afternoon‚ the account had already raised more than $15‚000 of the $20‚000 goal‚ so Smith may have a replacement vehicle in the near future."Just pray and ask God to protect you at all costs‚ just to keep life‚" Smith told Scripps News. "A car can be replaced‚ but your life cannot be."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Elon Musk to open new university in Texas 'focused on teaching in STEM subjects'

Tax filings originally obtained by Bloomberg revealed that Elon Musk plans to open a school in Austin‚ Texas‚ "focused on teaching in STEM subjects."Musk's private foundation‚ "The Foundation‚" requested tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service as it continues to formulate plans to open an independent primary and secondary school that will eventually "expand its operations to create a university dedicated to education at the highest levels." The university will seek accreditation.Musk‚ who moved to Texas in 2020‚ gave the Foundation roughly $100 million to launch the new project. In 2022‚ Musk sent $2.2 billion worth of Tesla stock to the Foundation. The October 2022 tax-exempt application to the IRS notes that the Foundation anticipates that the school will initially enroll approximately 50 students and grow over time.Musk's school will combine formal and "hands-on" learning experiences in subjects such as math‚ science‚ engineering‚ and physics. Students will participate in simulations‚ case studies‚ fabrication and design projects‚ and labs."The School does not want the inability to pay tuition or fees to be a barrier for its students‚" the filing notes. "Thus‚ if a student is admitted to the School‚ tuition and financial support will be provided to the extent of available resources."According to the filing‚ the school is already in the process of hiring an executive director‚ teachers‚ and administrators."All of the School's time will initially be allocated to launching a primary and secondary school. Once this school is successfully operating‚ a portion of the School's time will be allocated to creation of the university and other related charitable activities‚" it added. The school will be funded through donations and tuition fees. Students will be admitted "based on merit‚" "proven academic and scientific potential‚" and demonstration of "academic curiosity and discipline‚ independence‚ and innovation." The application notes that students will not be admitted based on their relationship with the school's trustees or employees. The Foundation's trustees include Jared Birchall‚ Steven Chidester‚ Ronald Gong‚ and Teresa Holland.Musk also reportedly plans to build his own town on thousands of acres of farmland outside the Austin area‚ equipped with recreational facilities and subsidized housing for Tesla‚ SpaceX‚ and Boring Co. employees‚ the Wall Street Journal previously reported.Musk's representatives did not respond to a request for comment from Bloomberg.Like Blaze News? Transgender volleyball player reportedly awarded women's scholarship‚ Riley Gaines reacts: 'How can he be proud?'

A transgender high school volleyball player — who was born a male — has been awarded a scholarship to play on the women's team‚ according to a new report. Tate Drageset‚ 17‚ has verbally committed to the University of Washington after being offered a scholarship by the university‚ according to Reduxx. The transgender player will reportedly seize one of the 12 highly-coveted scholarships designated for women at the University of Washington. The scholarships are "often spread out over the course of four years‚ with as few as two to three being offered per year‚" the outlet reported. The transgender player will purportedly become the first known biological male recipient of a women’s Division 1 athletic scholarship.Drageset has been a dominant force when playing against girls in high school. Drageset was awarded the title of the California Interscholastic Federation’s Division 5 Player of the 2022-23 Year. Drageset was named an MVP at the Girls Junior National Championships.Last summer‚ Drageset was a major contributor to two USA Volleyball teams in two separate age groups that both went on to win national titles. Drageset also plays Teqball — a sport played on a curved ping pong table that has volleyball aspects. Earlier this year‚ Drageset won a silver medal and was awarded a $2‚000 prize while competing against professional female players at the Teqvoly World Tour.According to Reduxx‚ "But Drageset’s transgender status has reportedly been concealed from public knowledge‚ with coaches‚ parents‚ and opposing players being left uninformed of his biological sex ahead of games."Tate reportedly played against 14-year-old girls since Drageset was 12. A parent of a girl in the Southern California Volleyball Association community told the outlet‚ “You could tell even back then that he was different from the girls. As he got older‚ it became more obvious that something was off. Anytime the subject of [Drageset] would come up every parent from any SCVA team already knew about him. Parents look around before they speak in hushed tones. Some will wait to discuss until outside the gym."“Everyone is scared of how their child will be treated if they speak up. It’s already so competitive to get on a good club team‚” the parent said. “The stealing of positions and opportunities has been infuriating and so sad when you see how it affects the girls. There is no concern for their mental health or safety after being replaced.”The Independent Council on Women’s Sports said female athletes and their families have not been made aware that they are competing against a male athlete. “We know many of the girls he’s playing against do not know that they are competing against a male‚” said Marshi Smith — representative for the Independent Council on Women’s Sports. “There has been no consideration from his family to tell female athletes or coaches the truth. They have not been transparent‚ so girls are repeatedly and unknowingly put at a disadvantage and not given the chance to opt out over increased safety risks.”Former NCAA swimmer turned women's rights activist Riley Gaines railed against the possibility of a biological male receiving a scholarship intended for female athletes. Gaines wrote on the X social media platform‚ "Male takes women's volleyball scholarship at @UW... a soon-to-be Big 10 school. Stealing the already few opportunities for women at the collegiate level. How can he be proud? UWVolleyball should rescind the scholarship if they really care about women. He can play with the men."Gaines has been an advocate of women competing against women and not biological males since she battled transgender college swimmer Lia Thomas.Drageset was allegedly featured in a Los Angeles Times profile published in 2016. When Drageset was 6 years old‚ Tate's father showed Tate a video of transgender reality TV star Jazz Jennings. In 2015‚ Drageset's mother and father published a book for children ages 4 to 8 titled "'Pink is a Girl Color' ... and other silly things people say." The children's picture book is "designed to encourage young children to be their authentic selves regardless of where they fall on the gender spectrum‚ and to generate kindness and acceptance for those whose gender identity and expression challenges that of existing stereotypes."In 2021‚ the book was named during an inquiry into school district books that were questionable to be offered in Texas schools. Tate's mother‚ Stacey Drageset‚ produced a short documentary about Tate in 2016 titled "Trans-mission.love."Like Blaze News? Democrat school board member sworn in on stack of 'LGBT' literature‚ including book titled 'Flamer'

A school board member in Fairfax County‚ Virginia‚ chose to be sworn into office on a stack of what was described as LGBT-themed books‚ including what appeared to be a controversial book that includes graphic content featuring children."Last night in Virginia‚ Fairfax County School Board member [Karl Frisch] was sworn in on a stack 'LGBTQ themed' books‚ including one that depicts naked teenage boys‚" wrote Nicki Neily‚ founder of Parents Defending Education.Frisch‚ who lists his pronouns as "he/him‚" is the vice chair and Providence District representative on the Fairfax County School Board‚ according to his X profile. On his campaign website‚ Frisch lists his priorities as "Keeping Schools Safe and Inclusive‚" along with addressing the needs of "English language learners" and other "often marginalized groups." 🚨Last night in Virginia‚ Fairfax County School Board member @KarlFrisch was sworn in on a stack “LGBTQ themed” books‚ including one that depicts naked teenage boys.

Don't forget that the “book ban” narrative is part of a dishonest political campaign aimed at attacking parents.… — (@) One of the books visible during Frisch's swearing-in ceremony was titled "Flamer." This appeared to be the controversial graphic novel that was recently banned from a Georgia school board's libraries due to graphic‚ sexual imagery. The same book has been banned from multiple jurisdictions‚ including Costa Mesa‚ California‚ and Tulsa‚ Oklahoma‚ over its explicit storyline being promoted to children. One portion of the graphic novel shows children instructing other children to masturbate into a bottle. Another portion of the book mentions a child watching his father's pornography while a different scene depicts a child seeing an adult shower. In fact‚ Tahoma Parents lists multiple images from the book that depict teenage boys showering‚ talking about "boners‚" and a boy on his knees in front of a naked‚ adult male. The book's summary on Amazon described "award-winning author and artist Mike Curato‚" who "draws on his own experiences in Flamer‚ his debut graphic novel‚ telling a difficult story with humor‚ compassion‚ and love.""This book will save lives‚" said one featured reviewed.Blaze News reached out to Frisch's campaign but did not receive immediate response regarding why the books were chosen and whether he forwent the option to be sworn in on a Bible‚ the Constitution‚ or any other book. This article will be updated with any relevant responses.Like Blaze News? Biden's attempt to buy youth support with student loan cancellations isn't working

President Joe Biden has sought to curry favor with young voters ahead of the 2024 election by having others shoulder the burden of the debt they willingly incurred chasing after college degrees. Recent polling suggests these costly and contentious efforts have largely been in vain‚ a least with regard to Generation Z voters in critical swing states where Biden trails former President Donald Trump by several points. A recent Morning Consult/Bloomberg News poll revealed that when asked‚ "Is President Joe Biden doing too much‚ too little‚ or is he doing the right amount for addressing student loans?‚" 43% respondents ages 18 to 26 answered "too little." When the question was put to all age groups‚ 35% said Biden was doing too much; 24% said he was doing too little; 28% said he was doing the right amount; and 13% said they didn't know or were indifferent. While 59% of Gen Z respondents in swing states indicated they supported the debt cancellation initiative‚ only 42% said they had heard about the efforts underway‚ reported Bloomberg. So far in his presidency‚ Biden has cancelled $132 billion in student debt for over 3.6 million debtors. His administration originally had a costlier aim of canceling nearly half a trillion dollars in student debt‚ but the Supreme Court dashed those dreams in June with a 6-3 decision. Biden made clear he wouldn't let a close reading of the law get in the way of the initiative‚ vowing on June 30‚ "This fight is not over." "I believe that the Court's decision to strike down our student debt relief plan is wrong‚" he is credited as writing. "My Administration will continue to work to bring the promise of higher education to every American." In addition to the high court recognizing the administration was out of its depth‚ the Government Accountability Office indicated the administration's planned $430 billion federal student loan debt cancellation plan lacked safeguards to protect against fraud. Undeterred‚ Biden announced last week that his administration was approving $4.8 billion in student debt cancellation for 80‚300 people. The same poll indicated that hundreds of billions of dollars later‚ Biden's support amongst prospective Gen Z voters is nowhere near where it needs to be to overtake Trump in Arizona‚ Georgia‚ Michigan‚ Nevada‚ North Carolina‚ Pennsylvania‚ and Wisconsin. The Bloomberg poll indicated that Biden has the support of 44% of Gen Z voters versus Trump's 38%. Bloomberg suggested‚ "The disconnect illustrates one of the core challenges of Biden's campaign for a second term: He struggles to get credit from voters for policies intended to motivate them." In a head-to-head match up across seven swing states‚ Trump leads the 81-year-old president by five points. In Arizona‚ Trump leads by four points; in Georgia‚ six points; Michigan‚ four points; Nevada‚ three points; North Carolina‚ nine points; Pennsylvania‚ two points; and he leads Biden by four points in Wisconsin. The economy‚ not student debt‚ appears to be the most important issue‚ according to a plurality of voters. 42% of respondents ranked it as their single most important issue going into the 2024 election. 85% said it was a very important issue‚ and 12% suggested it was somewhat important. 51% of respondents said they trusted Trump more than Biden to handle the economy. Only 35% said they trusted Biden to get around to tackling the problem. Beside facing a deficit of faith amongst the majority‚ Biden also suffers their disapproval. 58% of respondents claimed to view the 81-year-old unfavorably. This is in keeping with the latest Rasmussen Reports survey‚ which indicated Biden found disapproval with 57% of respondents. Another troubling indication for the deeply unpopular president is that one in five Democrats in these swing states supports House Republicans' quest to launch an impeachment inquiry into him.
