An 8-year-old boy’s viral “to-do list” is reminding us about the important things in life—and to always stay young at heart. Nashville‚ TN‚ native Grace Marrero took to Reddit earlier this month to showcase the list that her nephew‚ Pax‚ created at his grandmother’s house. The paper didn’t read like a typical to-do list that normally shows all the mundane chores someone needs to complete. Instead‚ it listed all the joyful and meaningful things we often forget amid the chaos and stress of responsibilities. Pax’s list included activities like “play with dad‚ “be weird‚ and “be content.” The little boy even reminded himself to be a bit of a rebel and “play loud” around the librarians. A family grieving the death of their 14-year-old cat stepped in to rescue a three-legged cat just days before a shelter planned to put him down. The cat’s new owner‚ David‚ explained to Newsweek that he had to make the devastating decision to put down his beloved pet in February‚ and he and the rest of his family were having a hard time dealing with the loss. But they were more worried about their other cat and knew he needed a new companion. “We knew it was going to be a rough journey for him‚” David explained. “We knew he needed another friend.” So David set out to find the perfect match. He searched the internet and asked his friends and family for advice‚ but he couldn’t hone in on the right cat. Then someone suggested he check out a local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals branch. And after a quick online browse‚ he saw a cat named Stewart and “fell in love.” We just rescued this fella from a shelter. He’s 6 months old and missing a rear leg. A driver spotted him and took him to a vet to be put down. But the vet was able to save his life. However‚ they had no choice but to amputate one of his hind legs. When Stewart recovered from his injuries‚ he went up for adoption—but no one was interested. So he was set to be euthanized. Fortunately‚ David took Stewart home the day after meeting him.
