Damning New Files Reveal Gov’t Efforts to Spy on‚ Silence Speech

New files reviewed by independent journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger reveal that data scientists and defense and intelligence veterans allegedly conspired to censor Americans via an “‘anti-disinformation’” group called the Cyber Threat Intelligence League (CTIL). In three X threads‚ Shellenberger and Taibbi wrote Nov. 28 that a whistleblower has come forward with damning documents further detailing the lengths to which U.S. and UK government agencies went to attack free speech online. The CTIL group purportedly started as a volunteer effort composed of data scientists and intelligence experts to prevent a repeat of Trump-2016 and Brexit but later evolved into a digital censorship conspiracy centered on relationships with U.S. federal government agencies‚ including the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency‚ the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Defense. “Many people insist that governments aren't involved in censorship‚ but they are‚” Shellenberger said in an X post. “And now‚ a whistleblower has come forward with an explosive new trove of documents‚ rivaling or exceeding the Twitter Files and Facebook Files in scale and importance.” Shellenberger and Taibbi have both reported extensively on Big Tech censorship‚ including through exposing attacks on Americans’ free speech in the Twitter Files. Shellenberger noted that the new CTIL files‚ combined with the Twitter and Facebook files‚ “offer a comprehensive picture of the birth of the ‘anti-disinformation’ sector.” According to Taibbi‚ the CTIL Files revealed that members of the group conducted “offensive” operations against the American people in contrast to the “defensive” nature of the Twitter Files. “Unlike the #TwitterFiles‚ which detail mostly defensive activity like censorship and deamplification‚ the #CTIFiles show members instructed in a wide array of “offensive” operations‚ including infiltration‚ creation of fake personas‚ use of burner phones‚ and more‚” Taibbi wrote of the second file dump. Both Taibbi and Shellenberger wrote on X that the new files could be bigger than the Facebook Files and the Twitter Files combined. As written by Shellenberger‚ the group thrived on pressuring social media networks to censor certain views in the name of national security: “The CTIL framework…includ[ed] masking censorship within cybersecurity institutions and counter-disinformation agendas; a heavy focus on stopping disfavored narratives‚ not just wrong facts; and pressuring social media platforms to take down information or take other actions to prevent content from going viral.” Taibbi‚ who wrote his own X threads on the file dump‚ reported that the group utilized “spy tactics” to censor the American people. “While #TwitterFiles confirmed use of defensive tactics like censorship/deamplification‚ the #CTIFiles show ‘anti-disinformation’ operatives planning to go on offense to disrupt speech‚ using fake personas and spy tactics‚” Taibbi wrote. He added that members of the group created fake profiles to infiltrate groups they were suspicious about‚ known as a “spy disguise.” The members also allegedly used burner phones and email accounts. Of particular note‚ Taibbi referenced the group’s request that memes making fun of the COVID-19 lockdowns online removed or “at a minimum reported and checked.” If the takedown operation failed‚ CTIL reportedly used a “troll” to join the group and combat the humor. While United States government agencies frequently use “spy” tactics to combat terrorism and foreign influence operations around the world‚ the U.S. government is “‘expressly forbidden’ to operate they are not allowed to use them ‘against U.S. citizens.’” Conservatives are under attack. Contact your representatives and demand that Big Tech and U.S. government agencies be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency‚ clarity on “hate speech” and equal footing for conservatives. CNN host confronts top UN Women official over agency's cowardice‚ refusal to condemn Hamas for attacks on Israeli women

A top United Nations women's rights official declined on Tuesday to condemn Hamas for its use of sexual violence in its barbaric Oct. 7 attack. In an interview on CNN‚ network host Bianna Golodryga confronted U.N. Women deputy executive director Sarah Hendriks over U.N. Women — the U.N. agency responsible for advocating for women and girls — choosing not to condemn Hamas for how terrorists targeted women for rape and murder in its attack on Israel last month.Hendriks claimed her agency is "deeply alarmed at the disturbing reports of gender-based and sexual violence on Oct. 7‚" adding that "gender-based violence as a weapon of war is totally reprehensible" and any such allegations should be "fully investigated with the utmost priority." Yet nowhere in her statement did she condemn Hamas‚ and Golodryga called her out for it. "Is there a reason‚ though‚ that you can't specifically call out Hamas and the mounting evidence now over seven weeks that Israeli investigators have collected‚ that we’ve shown our viewers about the atrocities they committed‚ specifically on Oct. 7?" Golodryga asked. "Because I think that’s the crux of the issue here. It's not just condemning sexual violence against women and in any war in general‚ it's specifically what occurred on Oct. 7 perpetrated by Hamas." But Hendriks refused. The U.N. Women official claimed her agency "supports impartial‚ independent investigations into any serious allegations of gender-based or sexual violence" before spending the next minute explaining how the U.N. investigates such allegations. At no point did Hendriks condemn Hamas for its atrocities against Jewish women in Israel‚ nor did she explain why U.N. Women has been silent. Instead‚ she talked about the atrocities as mere allegations not worthy of being discussed as fact. Meanwhile‚ U.N. Women has been outspoken about how the war — which Hamas started — has impacted women and girls in Gaza‚ relying on the casualty figures provided by Hamas. The U.N.'s failure to condemn Hamas outright for its attacks on women has led to bipartisan outrage among U.S. lawmakers. U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres tried to quiet the criticism on Wednesday but did not condemn Hamas and spoke about Hamas' atrocities as allegations‚ not facts. "There are numerous accounts of sexual violence during the abhorrent acts of terror by Hamas on 7 October that must be vigorously investigated and prosecuted. Gender-based violence must be condemned. Anytime. Anywhere‚" Guterres said. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Why a Canadian writer is seeking asylum in the United States

Why a Canadian writer is seeking asylum in the United States

Since Joe Biden assumed the presidency‚ millions of people from dozens of countries have flooded into the United States. Many of them have come seeking asylum‚ claiming they’re escaping political persecution. Most of those claims are bogus‚ but the Biden administration won’t even get around to adjudicating their cases for years. But some asylum claims are valid and do not involve people who arrived in the U.S. against the law. One such case is that of Gordon Knight of Canada. Yes‚ Canada — a U.S. ally. A Canadian citizen has come to America legally seeking asylum from Justin Trudeau’s regime‚ but not for the reason you might expect. Knight wasn’t part of the trucking convoy opposed to COVID lockdowns that Trudeau smeared as the effort of neo-Nazis. No‚ Knight is threatened by a group called the Canadian Standards Association‚ an ostensibly nonprofit organization with close ties to the government that owns some of the country’s electrical law. Yes‚ you read that correctly. A private organization owns public legislation. A few years ago‚ a landmark Canadian court case held that people who draft laws own the copyright on those laws. I know how bizarre that sounds. Laws are passed‚ supposedly‚ for the good of the people. The people who write those laws supposedly work for the people. Their work should be no more subject to copyright than the images U.S. taxpayers enjoy from their publicly funded space missions. But in an infamous case that’s come to be known as “Manson’s Law‚” Canadian federal appeals court Judge Michael Manson ruled that law itself may be subject to copyright. The CSA owns its portion of Canada’s electrical law as a result. The permutations from this mind-boggling decision are vast and varied. In Knight’s case‚ for instance‚ he published a book on electrical law and regulations. The CSA sued him for violating its copyright. Not only that‚ he faces criminal penalties‚ including the possibility of life in prison. Hence‚ Knight’s flight to the United States in search of asylum. If the rulings all stand‚ Knight can lose his freedoms‚ and Canada can lose control of its electrical regulatory framework. Knight and his company‚ P.S. Knight‚ have been publishing books on Canada’s electrical code for decades. Suddenly‚ he’s an outlaw? The mild-mannered author of electrical manuals is now an enemy of the state? A couple of side consequences flow from copyrighting electrical law. First‚ it creates a kind of pay-to-play system within Canada’s regulatory state. If drafters of law own the copyright‚ they own the right to make changes — and they can sell those changes to whoever wants them made. Law is now a commodity‚ made to order for the highest bidder‚ not safety or the good of the people. Second‚ a hostile foreign power could‚ in effect‚ buy Canada’s electrical regulations and either shut the country’s power grid down or demand exorbitant payments for the privilege of using electricity. It sounds mad‚ but it’s no idle threat. Knight himself is the copyright holder of some of Canada’s laws regulating electricity‚ and he’s been paid by various entities to use those laws. He didn’t set up this crazy system‚ and he’s not in favor of it. But he’s been publishing books on these laws for decades. But the real question is: Could something like Knight’s crazy case happen here? Yes. America’s equivalent of the CSA‚ the National Fire Protection Association‚ wants its own version of Manson’s Law either through a court ruling — which it is seeking — or through a bill now lurking in Congress. Earlier this year‚ U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-Del.)‚ John Cornyn (R-Texas)‚ Thom Tillis (R-N.C.)‚ and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) introduced the Pro Codes Act. The bill has been flying under the radar‚ but if it were to pass and become law‚ Knight says Americans could find themselves in his awful circumstances‚ with a private entity using copyright law to attack their ability to make a living and‚ ultimately‚ deprive them of their freedom. Suppose the bill passes and‚ while no one is paying attention‚ China comes in and buys up the copyright on U.S. regulations? Knight has written a book about all this‚ but good luck finding it on Amazon. The online behemoth pulled it and has made it unavailable. Good luck finding it anywhere. The Canadian government has been leaning on banks to make Knight a non-person and his books invisible‚ just as it did to the truckers who protested Trudeau’s mad COVID regime. And it’s all over what should be public ownership of public laws and regulations and a citizen’s ability to publish explanatory works based on those laws. It can happen here. We shouldn’t let it.

Pope Francis punishes conservative cardinal — the second action taken against outspoken critics in the US

Pope Francis took action against one of his biggest critics. This is the second time this month that Pope Francis has punished an American prelate. Pope Francis punished Cardinal Raymond Burke‚ a 75-year-old canon lawyer from Wisconsin. Francis revoked Burke's salary and his subsidized Vatican apartment. Burke‚ like other cardinals in Rome‚ lived in his apartment for free and received a monthly stipend of about $5‚500. During a meeting on Nov. 20‚ Pope Francis informed the heads of Vatican offices that he was taking action against Burke because he was a source of "disunity" in the church‚ according to an anonymous participant. Another unnamed source said Francis punished Burke because he was using the privileges against the church.Reports from earlier this week claimed that the pope said of Burke during the meeting‚ "Cardinal Burke is my enemy‚ so I take away his apartment and his salary."However‚ Francis has denied making the remarks. Catholic website Where Peter Is spoke to Francis about the situation with Burke.Pope Francis said‚ "I never used the word ‘enemy’ nor the pronoun ‘my.’ I simply announced the fact at the meeting of the dicastery heads‚ without giving specific explanations."Where Peter Is was founded by a "group of faithful Catholics who have become increasingly concerned about the attacks from within the Church on Pope Francis and his teachings."Burke is one of the most outspoken critics of Pope Francis. Burke has questioned the pope's outreach to the LGBTQ community and other groups whose viewpoints don't mesh with traditional beliefs. In October‚ Burke and four other cardinals challenged Francis to respond "to questions related to the synod on synodality" and "were seeking reassurances about the 'perennial truths' taught by the church and not attacking the person of Pope Francis‚" according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Burke said at a conference‚ "The five 'dubia' deal exclusively with the perennial doctrine and discipline of the church‚ not the agenda of the pope and certainly not the agenda of the five of us cardinals. They have nothing to do with the person of the Holy Father and‚ in fact‚ by their nature they are an expression of the veneration owed to the Petrine office and the successor of St. Peter."He added‚ "The sheep depend on the courage of pastors who must protect them from the poison of confusion‚ error‚ and division."Burke told the Wall Street Journal‚ "People can draw their own conclusions about why the Holy Father told this to Austen Ivereigh and not the person concerned‚" Burke said. A defiant Burke said he wouldn't leave Rome."It’s my duty as a cardinal to remain in Rome‚" he declared. According to Burke's website‚ Burke was ordained a bishop in 1995 by Pope Saint John Paul II and then named a cardinal in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. In 1989‚ Burke was appointed as the Defender of the Bond at the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura — the Vatican’s high court in Rome‚ Italy. In 2008‚ he founded the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse‚ Wisconsin. The same year‚ Cardinal Burke was appointed as Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura.Burke was appointed as the cardinal patron of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 2014.Francis fired Burke as the Vatican’s high court justice in 2014.Burke is the second conservative American prelate to be punished by Pope Francis this month. As Blaze News previously reported‚ Pope Francis forcibly removed Bishop Joseph E. Strickland from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of Tyler‚ Texas.Strickland — a self-described "red-pilled" bishop — has been a leading critic of Pope Francis and often challenged his leadership on social media.Like Blaze News? Mayorkas meets with Border Patrol agents falsely accused of 'whipping' migrants — but doesn't apologize: Report

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reportedly did not apologize to the mounted Border Patrol agents who were falsely accused of whipping Haitian migrants two years ago.Mayorkas traveled to the Del Rio sector of the southern border on Wednesday to meet with Border Patrol Chief Jason Owen‚ allegedly to receive an operational update about the border crisis. But the real reason for his visit‚ according to WOIA-TV‚ was to apologize to Owen and his agents for falsely accusing them of abusing migrants in the infamous "whipping" scandal. From WOIA:[M]ore than two years after the initial allegations‚ sources say Mayorkas was in Uvalde to apologize to border patrol‚ and especially now Chief Jason Owens‚ who was in charge of the Del Rio sector at the time of the incident. However‚ according to sources who spoke with Fox News‚ that apology never came.Mayorkas‚ the news outlet reported‚ spoke with the agents about the incident‚ including how it impacted their lives. The tone of the meeting‚ the sources said‚ was "professional" and "respectful." Blaze News reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for comment. The agency did not immediately respond. What is the background? As Haitian migrants overwhelmed the border in September 2021‚ the Border Patrol deployed its mounted units — agents on horseback — to help control a situation that was quickly getting out of hand. Those agents were accused of "whipping" migrants after photographers snapped pictures showing horses in motion‚ reins flaring‚ and migrants running. The images‚ Mayorkas later claimed‚ "painfully conjured up the worst elements of our nation's ongoing battle against systemic racism." President Joe Biden later vowed to punish the agents."It was horrible to see people treated like they did: horses nearly running them over and people being strapped. It’s outrageous‚" Biden said. "I promise you‚ those people will pay. An investigation is underway now‚ and there will be consequences. There will be consequences. It’s an embarrassment."The evidence on the ground‚ video and witnesses‚ quickly disproved the narrative. The Border Patrol quickly opened an investigation and suspended the use of mounted agents.‚Last summer‚ the agency quietly cleared the agents of the allegation that they had whipped or otherwise abused the migrants.Like Blaze News? Pro-Palestinian mob gets violent at NYC Christmas tree lighting; one cop says‚ 'I was shoved‚ punched‚ kicked. It’s bulls**t'

A pro-Palestinian mob got violent Wednesday night for New York City's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center‚ and one NYPD officer told the New York Post‚ "I was shoved‚ punched‚ kicked. It’s bulls**t."What are the details?Protesters waved Palestinian flags and did their best "from the river to the sea ..." chants‚ which chant is commonly understood to be a declaration of Israel's imminent destruction‚ the paper said. Protesters also chanted‚ "Israel is a fascist state‚" according to video recorded at the protest. — (@) The paper said the protesters couldn't get near the Christmas tree‚ so they opted for the Christmas tree outside the News Corp building‚ which houses the New York Post and Fox News. The Post said the building has been targeted by pro-Palestinian protesters at least twice. — (@) The protestors also chanted‚ “Free‚ free Palestine!” — (@) One protester was seen carrying a massive sign showing a swastika and comparing the Israel Defense Forces to Nazis‚ the Post said.NYPD officers pushed crowds backward‚ but the crowds pushed back and called officers "f***ing Nazis‚" the paper added.More from the Post:Pro-Palestinian organizers announced their plans to disrupt the festivities earlier this week‚ noting that the world-renowned celebration also falls on the UN-recognized International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.Additional NYPD units were called in‚ law enforcement sources told The Post‚ adding that officers were being attacked.“They should have shut it down. They lost control of the street. I was shoved‚ punched‚ kicked. It’s bulls**t‚” one cop caught in the fray said.Several protesters were seen being taken into custody‚ the paper said‚ adding that it wasn't clear if they were charged.Jamie Fry‚ 42‚ who flew in from the United Kingdom to watch the tree lighting spectacle‚ told the Post the protest was “very annoying.”“I had planned my holiday around this event‚ being a big fan of Christmas‚" Fry told the paper. "Now I’m walled in by a bunch of terrorist-loving a–holes calling for intifada. Their strategy for sympathy is disruption‚ but all they’ll get out of me is a big ‘F*** you.’”The rowdy protest thinned out an hour into the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony which the Post said "went off without a hitch." Levin: Jews and righteous Gentiles band together in support of Israel

Just the other day‚ approximately 300‚000 people of all backgrounds‚ faiths‚ and races came to Washington‚ D.C.‚ to peacefully and civilly show their support for Israel. The March for Israel protesters not only were showing their support for the war-torn country but condemning the global rise in anti-Semitic violence and begging for Hamas to release its hostages. Our fearless leader‚ Joe Biden‚ was not in attendance. The president instead had to attend an important climate change event before flying to California to meet who Mark Levin calls “the communist genocidal murderer‚ Xi.” But the people are picking up where Biden refuses to — and they have been since October 7. On November 14‚ another rally took place in D.C. A mother of one of the hostages kidnapped from the music festival spoke. “How we are living is hard to describe to you. We hostage families have lived the last 39 days in slow motion. Torment for 38 nights. None of us have slept the real sleep of the before. We all have third-degree burns on our souls. Our hearts are bruised and seeping with misery‚ but the real souls suffering are those of the hostages‚” Rachel Goldberg said. Goldberg called the world to action‚ asking them how anyone could see what’s happening in Israel and be passive. “Why is the world accepting that 240 human beings from almost 30 countries have been stolen and buried alive?” she asked. “That is one of the most profound statements I’ve ever heard‚ ever‚” Levin says in awe. “She’s just a mother who was put into this awful‚ horrendous position trying to save her son and these other hostages.” Want more from Mark Levin? To enjoy more of "the Great One" — Mark Levin as you've never seen him before — subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

Hospital security guard accused of having sex with corpse of 79-year-old woman in morgue freezer

A now-fired security guard was arrested for allegedly having sex with the corpse of a 79-year-old woman at the morgue of a hospital in Arizona. Randall Bird‚ 46‚ was charged with five counts of crimes against a dead person‚ according to the Phoenix Police Department. Bird's bond was set at $10‚000.Bird had been a security guard at the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. His job responsibilities included transporting dead bodies to the morgue and placing them inside a freezer. The corpse of the 79-year-old woman who had died of natural causes arrived at the morgue on Oct. 22. The same day‚ two witnesses reportedly claimed to have arrived at the morgue‚ where the doors were locked from the inside — an unusual occurrence. According to court documents‚ witnesses saw a light on inside the morgue's freezer‚ and the door was cracked. WMTV reported‚ "The two witnesses reportedly saw Bird inside the freezer‚ where he was 'sweating profusely' and 'acting very nervous.'"The body bag for the elderly woman's corpse was unzipped and she was face down with Bird's belt on top of the gurney where the body was‚ court docs said. Security guards said as they walked into the morgue‚ Bird allegedly attempted to cover the victim's body. Bird said he allegedly had a medical episode and fainted. He reportedly grabbed the body bag as he fell.Bird reportedly told the witnesses that the body bag had torn open‚ and the zipper broke. However‚ witnesses noticed that the bag and the zipper were not broken. The pair reported Bird to their supervisor. Officers with the Phoenix Police Department were dispatched to the Banner University Medical Center on Oct. 24. When detectives interviewed Bird‚ he told them that he experienced a medical emergency at the morgue‚ fainted‚ and couldn't remember anything from the incident. Investigators determined that the woman's dead body showed signs of trauma. Police also noted that the corpse had Bird's DNA on it – which made him a necrophilia suspect. Officials at Banner Health confirmed that Bird no longer works at the hospital. "We are saddened and appalled by the alleged actions of an individual at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix that resulted in his arrest on November 28‚ 2023‚" Banner Health said in a statement."Banner initiated an internal investigation‚ filed a report with law enforcement‚ and terminated the employee‚" the hospital said. "Banner Health has and remains committed to high standards that require each of our team members to treat everyone‚ at every stage of life‚ with compassion‚ dignity‚ and respect‚" Banner Health added. "We are grateful for the work of the Phoenix Police Department in the investigation and handling of this matter‚ and we will continue to cooperate with law enforcement."Like Blaze News? Story of Iowa mom vs. Department of Health and Human Services might be the craziest thing you’ve ever heard

Emily Donlin is an Iowa mother who is under investigation by the Department of Health and Human Services because her infant’s umbilical cord tested positive for cocaine. The only thing is Emily has never done cocaine in her entire life. In fact‚ she’s so holistic she doesn’t even take over-the-counter painkillers or vaccinate her children. How on Earth did this happen? Allie Beth Stuckey invites Emily on the show to share her most disturbing story. Although Emily had a home birth‚ she took her son Paul into the hospital shortly after his arrival to ensure he was healthy‚ and fortunately‚ everything checked out perfectly — initially. However‚ two weeks later‚ Emily’s family received a knock on their door from DHHS saying Paul had tested positive for cocaine. Naturally‚ Emily was shocked and confused. She explained that she had never taken drugs and that this must be a mistake. Their home was proven to have “no safety concerns.” The DHHS agent examined the children and confirmed they “[didn’t] have any behavioral indicators‚” and she assured Emily “she didn't see any signs of drug use” in the home. Yet despite their favorable evaluations‚ Emily’s family was forced to “undergo a 20-day investigation” that would include a “plan” that required her mother and husband to trade off supervising her when she was with her children. “Looking back ... I would have done so many things differently‚” Emily laments‚ but at the time‚ she “felt [she] didn't have any other choice” and “just accepted.” Despite the upsetting situation‚ Emily and her family “had faith that the truth [would] come out” since they “had nothing to hide.” Unfortunately‚ that’s not what happened at all. Emily was forced to undergo a three-month hair test that tested for five different drugs‚ one of which was cocaine‚ and the test “came back negative” for all five drugs. “We were like‚ ‘Okay we're good‚ right?’” Emily tells Allie. Unfortunately‚ the answer was still no. “We were then told that‚ well‚ actually the three-month hair test had nothing to do with the positive test and proving my innocence; it had everything to do with a second allegation‚ which we weren't told about ... that there were drugs in our home‚” she explains. Thus Emily’s negative hair test proved that there were no drugs in their home. But it did not disprove her son’s initial positive test at the hospital. “About a week later‚ we received in the mail the report saying I am founded for a case of child abuse‚ and I am now on the child abuse registry‚” Emily explains. As a result‚ she was told she must fulfill certain “voluntary services” to avoid a court order‚ but the social worker refused to tell her what those services would be unless Emily agreed to them. When Emily continued to press for information about what voluntary services she was agreeing to‚ the social worker said‚ “It sounds like you're declining services‚ [and] when you decline services‚ then you go to a CINA [case]‚” which stands for “Child in need of assistance” and moves the case into “the judicial system.” Once the case escalated to a CINA case‚ “We received court appointed lawyers — both my husband and I” and “our children received a guardian ad litem‚” which “is a lawyer that represents our children's best interest in the court‚” says Emily. Somehow‚ they still didn’t lose hope. Before their court date‚ Emily submitted “25 pieces of evidence” proving her innocence‚ including “a 12-month hair test” she paid for herself that covered “the entirety of [her] pregnancy.” But this negative test was still not enough to prove her innocence. In the hearing‚ the court ordered “a retest on the original sample (the umbilical cord) and a DNA test on it” to ensure the sample actually belonged to Paul. They also determined that Emily would undergo “voluntary services‚” which they finally explained would involve “two monthly visits with DHHS‚” “a random drug test‚” as well as “a “substance abuse evaluation” and “treatment plan” should she test positive on the randomized drug test. However‚ during their first mandatory DHHS visit‚ the social worker told Emily that their department was recommending she undergo the evaluation and treatment plan before the drug test was even conducted‚ denying the court’s original order. They tried to “get the manuscript from the trial” to prove the judge’s original orders but were denied. Having lost faith in the entire system‚ Emily decided to reject the evaluation and treatment plan‚ knowing she was innocent and in no need of intervention. She completed the drug test‚ which was another three-month hair test‚ and like all her other tests‚ “it was negative‚” and she fulfilled her obligation to meet with DHHS twice‚ thus checking all the required boxes laid out in the first court hearing. A few days before the second hearing‚ Emily and her husband received DHHS’ filing‚ which included “eight recommendations‚” one of which was to have “the custody of [their] children moved under the Department” (meaning foster care)‚ even though at this point‚ Emily had taken “seven negative tests” and fulfilled all of the requirements outlined in the first hearing. When she followed up with the hospital about the retesting of Paul’s umbilical cord‚ she was told she needed to contact that lab that conducted the test‚ but when she called the lab‚ they refused to work with her and told her she needed to go through the hospital. She also found out that the “25 pieces of evidence” she submitted to the court hadn’t even been reviewed. In fact‚ the court claimed it “didn’t even know [she] did this 12-month hair test.” At this point‚ Emily and her husband were left with literally nothing except prayers. And clearly‚ it worked. “They dismissed our case” in the second hearing‚ Emily says‚ and thankfully‚ the DHHS (probably because they had no real evidence) did not pursue a contested hearing. While Emily getting to keep her children is excellent news‚ she is still currently on the list of registered child abusers. To hear the full story and learn where Emily is at now‚ watch the video below.
