Ilhan Omar delivers personal warning to Biden about voter groups that 'were very pivotal to his election'

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) says she recently warned President Joe Biden that he risks losing support from key Democratic voter constituencies.Speaking with a local Minneapolis news station‚ KCCO-TV‚ Omar recounted that she recently spoke with Biden about her position on the Israel-Hamas war and emphasized that Biden imperils his re-election hopes if he does not adopt her position on the war. Omar was responding to the growing number of progressives who have become outspokenly critical of Biden's support for Israel. Muslim voters‚ for example‚ are threatening to "abandon Biden" in the upcoming election if he does not support a ceasefire in Gaza."I recently had a conversation with the president. Muslims were very pivotal to his election — they mobilized in all the key states. Young people were very instrumental in him getting elected‚" Omar told KCCO."And what I reminded him was that he needs to listen to these voices. People are heartbroken. It's been really hard to have conversations about politics and policy. People just want the images of young children's bodies that are piling up to end and they want our support for this to end‚" she said. Rep. Ilhan Omar talks Don Samuels’ primary challenge www.youtube.com The U.S. government is reluctant to support a ceasefire for two important reasons.First‚ Israel is the top U.S. ally in the Middle East‚ and the U.S. government has been committed to defending Israel for its entire existence as a modern nation-state.Second‚ honest people understand that a ceasefire now ultimately prevents a ceasefire forever. Hamas is committed to the extermination of Israel‚ and the terrorist group's leaders have vowed to commit as many attacks as needed to achieve their goal. This is why Israel is committed to destroying Hamas; its leaders know that peace will never be achieved if Hamas exists. Those calling for a ceasefire‚ like Omar‚ have not offered a solution to this conundrum. It's true that younger voters (and Muslim voters‚ of course) are broadly critical of Biden for supporting Israel. Rhetoric aside‚ it's unlikely they will abandon him come Election Day if the choice is Biden or Donald Trump. Omar's warning‚ then‚ is all bark and (probably) no bite. Like Blaze News? District allegedly 'altered ... official records' to conceal treating middle-school girl as a boy without telling her parents

A Michigan couple has sued their local school district after several district employees allegedly began treating the couple's daughter as a boy and then "altered the girl's official records" to conceal their actions.Dan and Jennifer Mead live in Rockford‚ Michigan‚ a city of about 5‚000 residents located 15 miles northeast of Grand Rapids. Their daughter‚ identified only as G.M.‚ began attending Rockford Public Schools in kindergarten and continued attending until October 2022‚ the fall of her eighth-grade year. For most of that time‚ the Meads believed that G.M. received a solid education from the district's schools and teachers. So in January 2021‚ when G.M. was having trouble adjusting to East Rockford Middle School as a sixth-grader‚ Jennifer Mead started corresponding with ERMS counselor Erin Cole so that they could work together to get G.M. back on track.Because of Cole's ready willingness to meet with G.M. and keep an eye on her progress‚ Jennifer Mead began to trust Cole‚ and the women sent emails back and forth to each other for the better part of two years. However‚ according to a lawsuit filed on behalf of the Meads by Alliance Defending Freedom‚ for about five months‚ Cole and other ERMS officials had been calling G.M. a boy's name and referring to her using masculine pronouns — and they never told the Meads a word about it.The evidence laid out in the lawsuit is damning. According to the suit‚ G.M. sent Cole an electronic message in May 2022‚ asking the counselor to call her a boy's name that begins with F. Cole then allegedly spread the word with various other ERMS staff members. The staff members apparently readily complied with the offhanded request from a seventh-grader diagnosed with autism and other mental health disorders because the lawsuit is fraught with copies of intra-school messages which refer to G.M. as F.M. and with masculine pronouns. The following are just a handful of excerpted messages and other records allegedly written in late summer or early fall 2022 and contained in the lawsuit:In August‚ the start of G.M.'s eighth-grade year‚ Cole emailed all of the teachers on her schedule: "When you each have a second‚ could you please call me or stop down[?] You have a student listed on your roster as G[] M[] that I want to give you a little insight on."In a case activity log created for G.M. in August‚ school neuropsychologist Heather Slater described G.M. as "female but transitioning to male. Goes by F[] ... @ school &; G[] @ home."In early September‚ school social worker Dawn Thorsen wrote to Cole‚ "F[] might be stopping by to see you today. He tried earlier and the office was locked which is how he ended up in my office. He’s a super cool kid-I really enjoyed my time with him. He’s very self aware!"Also in September‚ Assistant Principal Kyle Avink sent an email with the subject line "FM‚" saying‚ "I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that we are currently discussing F[] (G[] in the system) M[] within our [building consultation] team."Yet‚ all the while‚ Dan and Jennifer Mead were kept in the dark. In fact‚ some ERMS employees may have gone to great lengths to keep them there. According to the lawsuit‚ Slater‚ the neuropsychologist‚ even changed a document after Dan Mead had signed it because it accidentally contained a message referring to G.M. as F.M. and using male pronouns. "I edited all the responses to change the ones where they called him F[] and changed it to G[] in the write up‚" Slater allegedly wrote to Principal Adam Burkholder in part in October 2022. "... This wasn’t to hide anything from parents‚ it’s just the policy for legal documents."The straw that broke the camel's back for the Meads‚ though‚ seemed to be when Cole‚ a woman they had trusted to have G.M.'s best interest at heart‚ allegedly gave G.M. a homoerotic graphic novel to read. "Heartstopper: Volume 1" is a story about a romance between two teenage boys and includes "many instances of profanity and crude anatomical references‚" the lawsuit claimed. When the Meads confronted Principal Burkholder about the book and the alleged lying and obfuscations about G.M.'s gender and identity‚ Burkholder reportedly insisted that ERMS employees were simply following the mandates of the Michigan Department of Education regarding students who identify as transgender. However‚ the "State made clear that '[t]hese guidelines are voluntary and should not be considered mandates or requirements‚'" the lawsuit countered.Burkholder also could not guarantee the Meads that the district would not continue the charade going forward‚ the lawsuit said‚ so the Meads elected to withdraw G.M. from the district and homeschool her instead. The move has forced Dan Mead to leave his job to oversee G.M.'s education at home‚ costing the family a significant portion of their income. The Meads also allege that the district's actions in treating G.M. as a boy violated their deeply held Christian beliefs. In the lawsuit‚ they are asking a "declaration that the District’s policy facially and as applied to the Meads violates the Meads’ First and Fourteenth Amendment rights under the United States Constitution‚" as well as court costs and other fees."Schools should never deliberately hide vital information from parents‚ yet that’s exactly what the Rockford Public School District did‚" said Kate Anderson‚ director of ADF’s Center for Parental Rights. "... By intentionally concealing this information from the Meads‚ the school district violated their constitutionally protected right to make decisions regarding their daughter’s education and wellbeing and destroyed the trust the Mead family had placed in the district and its employees."In response to a request for comment about the lawsuit‚ RPS Superintendent Dr. Steve Matthews sent Blaze News the following statement:Thank you for asking us about this issue. We actually have not been served with any legal documents. I assume that they are coming. So for now our comment would be that we have no comment at this time because we have not been given notice of this legal proceeding. It seems they have gone to the media and not to us with this legal proceeding. At some point we will comment but right now we have no information so we will refrain from discussing this issue right now.Like Blaze News? For our republic to endure‚ the regime must go

Joe Biden came into power engulfed in more controversy than any preceding president. We had just come out of the 2020 presidential election with more questions than answers. We had videos of ballots being pulled out from under desks‚ election workers boarding up windows to block any view of the process‚ and video footage of cargo trucks appearing in the night offloading pallets of ballots with no chain of custody. In a general sense‚ it’s been dark ever sense. Fast-forward to January 6‚ when the Capitol was “invaded” by “insurrectionists‚” followed by an inauguration that was essentially closed to the public. Biden and his handlers promised to be the exact opposite of Donald Trump‚ and this may be their only campaign promise made good. Three years on‚ we are in debt to the tune of over $100‚000 per citizen. We have an open border where unvetted masses are storming in‚ more than 10‚000 per day. We have well over 600‚000 “gotaways” that have moved into our communities‚ many of whom are military-aged men. As a candidate for lieutenant governor in North Carolina‚ I have met with quite a number of our county sheriffs and law enforcement. They are concerned. They realize the D.C. regime has set up the United States for an assault akin to what Israel experienced in October‚ and they aren’t prepared. The weakness from within the White House has made every state a border state. How did we descend so far‚ so fast? It was planned. From the COVID-19 pandemic and billions of dollars in giveaways to introducing the Green New Deal under the guise of the “Inflation Reduction Act‚” we might conclude that if loyalty truly exists in Washington‚ it appears to be to the Chinese Communist Party and not to the American people. For instance‚ John Kerry‚ who is seeking to remain relevant in his climate czar role‚ said recently‚ “Coal plants should not be permitted anywhere in the world.” Never mind that China was bringing a new coal plant online every 14 days on average as recently as last year. Meanwhile‚ the EU has now categorized natural gas as a clean energy. The Biden regime insists it is not. Rather‚ the administration continues to focus on inefficient solar and wind to brew your favorite cup of coffee every morning — a total pipe dream. Many states have climbed on the electric vehicle gravy train. So much so‚ in fact‚ that many governors have sought to sweeten the pot‚ attracting foreign battery companies to build manufacturing plants in their states‚ potentially creating thousands of jobs. While this sounds like it’s heaven-sent for a state’s economy‚ the whole story is a bit more complicated. For starters‚ these manufacturing conglomerates often bring in workers from other states‚ which almost invariably changes the demographics of a red state to purple. Apart from that‚ most of the raw materials necessary for making EV lithium batteries come from China. Our electrified economy depends on our adversary. All the while‚ Beijing is building more coal plants. We are subsiding their operations‚ their coal plants‚ their economy. While middle America groans under higher prices at the grocery store and on utility bills‚ the elite in D.C. continue to make your life worse and sell America into oblivion. The ruling class’ love affair with China permeates the very fibers of our union‚ as Chinese organizations with ties to the Chinese Communist Party purchase U.S. farmland. According to reports‚ China or entities connected with the CCP own approximately 400‚000 acres of farmland. This is only farmland‚ of course. China has a hand in hundreds of businesses and cultural organizations that seek to shape public opinion. We have gone from a generation warning us of the evils of communism in the 1960s and ’70s to now inviting communist influence inside our country. Incredible. So in the last three years‚ we have seen food prices soar‚ the Strategic Petroleum Reserve depleted‚ and our military training and recruitment go woke and parade around as cross-dressers. We’ve gone from being energy-independent to being dependent on OPEC. Mortgage interest rates‚ automobile prices‚ and building material costs have all skyrocketed. We’ve exuded weakness to the world instead of strength. What’s the common denominator? The Biden regime‚ which seems bent on destroying our republic. It has to go. If for no other reason‚ we need Donald J. Trump to return to the Oval Office and repeat his famous line: “You’re fired!”

Super Bowl champion arrested‚ accused of robbing at least 5 businesses

Former NFL running back and Super Bowl champion Derrick Ward was arrested for allegedly robbing multiple businesses in California.Ward‚ who was on the historic 2007-2008 New York Giants team that beat the undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII‚ was accused of robbing at least five southern California businesses‚ including gas stations‚ NBC News reported.Law enforcement noted that Ward was not suspected of using a firearm during any of his offenses. The Los Angeles Police Department added that the 43-year-old was measured at six feet tall and 230 lbs.Ward was held in LAPD custody on $250‚000 bail‚ according to jail records reported on by NBC News.Ward played eight seasons in the NFL after being drafted by the New York Jets in 2004 and collected over 2‚600 yards with one 1‚000-rushing-yard season.NFL players have steadily been making headlines in relation to alleged crimes in 2023.Linebacker for the Buffalo Bills Von Miller recently turned himself in for an alleged assault of his pregnant girlfriend. Miller was charged with third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman — which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10‚000 fine.Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones was also arrested over accusations of domestic violence stemming from alleged scratch marks left on his child's mother's neck during a custody argument. The Las Vegas Raiders' Roderic Teamer was accused of a DUI‚ while New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was accused of battery for shoving a construction worker. All four athletes' arrests came in November 2023‚ with 23 active NFL players arrested throughout the year‚ according to USA Today.Meanwhile‚ former Bills punter Matt Araiza was recently cleared of allegations of rape. The San Diego District Attorney's Office concluded that Araiza could not have been part of an alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old in October 2021. Araiza allegedly left the off-campus party at least an hour before the incident allegedly occurred.Ward's manager could not be immediately reached for comment by NBC News‚ nor was it apparent that the former athlete had an attorney representing him.Like Blaze News? Capitol Police exploring criminal charges over gay sex tape filmed in Senate hearing room: Report

Capitol Police investigators are exploring the crimes that may have been committed in the filming of a gay sex video in a Senate hearing room. Capitol Hill was rocked last week when the Daily Caller published a video of Senate aide Aidan Maese-Czeropski‚ who worked for Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.)‚ engaging in gay sexual intercourse in Hart Senate Office Building room 216. Hart Senate Office Building Room 216 (Caroline Brehman/CQ-Roll Call‚ Inc via Getty Images)Maese-Czeropski has since been fired. Meanwhile‚ the Capitol Police investigation is heating up. Politico reported: A Capitol Police investigation last week initially centered on the identity of those featured in the video. It's now continuing with a focus on what crimes may have been committed and what charges Maese-Czeropski or others could face. The investigation began last week when the video was circulating among Hill staffers but was not yet public‚ shifting on Friday once it was confirmed that Czeropski posted the video of himself. It's not clear exactly what crimes Capitol Police is exploring. But‚ according to legal scholar Jonathan Turley‚ investigators have a plethora of options from which to choose‚ including: D.C. Code § 22–1312 for lewd‚ indecent‚ or obscene acts 18 U.S. Code § 641 for the misuse of government property 18 U.S. Code § 1752 for criminal trespass on government property "The key factor is the fact that this videotape was made with the apparent intent to publish or to distribute‚" Turley wrote. "Sex in congressional offices — by both members and staff — have long been known to occur on Capitol Hill. Yet‚ this was a public hearing room‚ albeit closed at the time‚ and a tape made for what appears public viewing."That brings us back to trespass. The question may be whether this was access under legal authority for a staffer. The Capitol police can argue that access to a staff position does not mean a license for entry for any purpose‚" he explained. "Does a staffer have legal authority to enter any hearing room for any purpose? That could be a defense raised by counsel‚ but it would seem likely that any access is premised on an official function."On Monday‚ Cardin said he is "terribly angered" by the scandal. He confirmed that his office is cooperating with the Capitol Police investigation. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox.
