Julianna Margulies Made One MASSIVE Mistake in USA Today Op-Ed

Julianna Margulies isn’t content staying silent while Jews are under attack in both Israel and America. The Morning Show actress previously noted how Hollywood discriminates against the Jewish faith on screens large and small. She also railed against the relative silence from her peers on Hamas’ barbaric October 7 attack on Israel which killed more than 1‚200 people. "Listen‚ the last thing I thought in my life was that I’d be the one actress speaking out for Jews. I hope I inspire other people to come out and talk and use their voice and use their platform to draw attention to this.” The exceptions include Amy Schumer‚ Patricia Heaton‚ Jon Lovitz and Sacha Baron Cohen. Other stars have signed group letters denouncing Hamas but haven’t been vocal on social media. Now‚ the E.R. alum is calling out her fellow Americans. “My non-Jewish friends‚ your silence on antisemitism is loud‚” Margulies wrote in a blistering op-ed published at USA Today. We are a tiny community. In 2011‚ the Israelis exchanged 1‚027 Hamas prisoners for one Israeli soldier. I don’t pretend to be an expert on the Middle East conflict – I am not‚ it’s complicated and has been going on for years – but I just want to give you a picture of how valuable one Jewish life is‚ because there are so few of us. The letter is heartfelt and kind‚ a plea for those who don’t grasp the real fears Jewish citizens face across the globe. It’s impossible to ignore this part of her otherwise poignant essay. By your inaction to reach out‚ I immediately thought about the Jews of the Holocaust and what that must have felt like when no one spoke out‚ or stood up to protect them. Perhaps that is why I jump at the chance to march in Black Lives Matter protests‚ rally everyone I know to fight for LGBTQ+ right[s] and sound the siren when I hear that immigrant children are being held in cages. I will always fight for the human cause because I know how valuable life is. Full stop. Let’s set aside how the “mostly peaceful” BLM protests caused billions in property damage. Does Margulies realize how some Black Lives Matter groups responded to the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks? A coalition of 26 local [BLM] chapters called the attacks a “desperate act of self-defense.” The Chicago chapter shared an image glorifying Hamas gunmen on paragliders‚ before walking it back amid blowback. And the movement’s Phoenix branch praised Hamas “freedom fighters” for their acts of “resistance.” Echoing this rhetoric are two Hamas-friendly groups—American Muslims for Palestine and the Council for American-Islamic Relations—that have for nearly a decade worked arm-in-arm with the Black Lives Matter organization to plan rallies and lobby lawmakers. Newsweek shared more official BLM thoughts following the massacre. The BLM Grassroots chapter responded to the ongoing fighting between Hamas militants and Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) saying‚ “As the world is faced with deep questions about self-determination‚ as well all desire and pray for a world of peace‚ we must stand unwaveringly on the side of the oppressed. When a people have been subject to decades of apartheid and unimaginable violence‚ their resistance must not be condemned [emphasis added]‚ but understood as a desperate act of self-defense.” This image won’t fade from memory anytime soon.  The official Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter released a graphic of a Hamas paraglider with the text: "I stand with Palestine." A unit of Hamas militants used paragliders and hang gliders to launch their armed massacre of civilians in southern Israel. BLM‚ like Antifa‚ has… pic.twitter.com/ATN2d4sAcf — Andy Ngô 🏳️‍🌈 (@MrAndyNgo) October 10‚ 2023 How could Margulies not be aware of the group’s support for the ghouls who committed rape‚ murder and torture on Oct. 7? How? More importantly‚ didn’t an editor at USA Today raise his or her hand and remind the actress about the matter? Can’t Margulies and one of the largest newspapers in the country see why name-checking BLM in this article is a profoundly bad idea? Another explanation? Neither Margulies nor the USA Today editors knew about BLM’s ghastly affection for Hamas. The BLM Chicago image generated some media attention‚ but a Google News search for those key words show most mainstream news organizations ignored the shocking news story. It’s inexcusable either way.

United Nations at fault for spike in anti-Semitism across US‚ Israeli envoy says

The sudden surge in anti-Semitism throughout the U.S. and Europe apparently has its origins in an anti-Israel United Nations resolution from 1975‚ according to Israel's Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism Michael Cutler-Wunsh. The increase in anti-Semitism throughout the West appears to have dramatically increased since Hamas' attack against the Jewish state on October 7. Since that time‚ many students and professors in colleges and universities have expressed their support for Palestine‚ claiming that Israel is attempting to annihilate the Palestinian people."We have to understand that the U.S. is experiencing such massive growth in antisemitism‚ and we see not only the antisemitism that fueled the atrocities of 10/7‚ but those that actually fueled the responses to the atrocities of 10/7 across North American campuses‚ on the streets and online‚" Cotler-Wunsh said. "It is part of a decade’s-long process.""The world before 10/7 and the world after it‚ like 9/11‚ cannot continue as if nothing happened."Fox News Digital reported that Hamas' slaughter of 1‚200 people on October 7 is viewed as Israel's version of the 9/11 attacks that took place in the U.S.Cotler-Wunsh took aim at the United Nations for passing what she characterized as an anti-Semitic resolution in 1975 that equated the philosophical position of Zionism with racism. However‚ the report noted that the "Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination" resolution was canceled in 1991. In an article published in late 2021‚ Aaron Jacob wrote that the United Nations declaring Zionism to be a "form of racism and racial discrimination" was the "worst resolution ever adopted by the UN regarding Israel. Previous UN resolutions had stated that racism should be eliminated. If Zionism is a form of racism‚ then Zionism‚ and the state it created‚ Israel‚ must be eradicated‚ too.""I would say the strain of antisemitism that is anti-Zionism‚ the negation of Israel's very right to exist across North America … began with the 1975 Zionism is racism resolution‚" Cotler-Wunsh said. "Soviet propaganda passed at the U.N. has become mainstream across North American campuses in the name of progress.""The U.N. bears tremendous responsibility. And if I would add to that‚ the post-atrocities of 10/7‚ the fact that no U.N. body has condemned unequivocally not the rape‚ not the bludgeoning‚ not the mutilation‚ not the abduction of thousands of civilians‚ undermining its own mandate."When Cotler-Wunsh was asked what can be done to stifle the spread and perpetuation of anti-Semitism‚ she said the first move was to define what it is. She went on to point to the definition provided by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. According to the Israeli envoy‚ the IHRA defines anti-Semitism as "[t]he dehumanization‚ the delegitimization and the double standards applied again" to the Israel.Like Blaze News?
