Is Biden’s Dementia Just Russian Disinformation?

If you believed that being punked about the provenance of the Hunter Biden laptop would render the corporate media cautious about promoting conspiracy theories concerning Russian disinformation, you were mistaken. As President Biden’s cognitive decline accelerates and countless videos document that sad reality, major news outlets are at it once again. As is usually the case, the New York Times led the effort by publishing a story last month under the following headline: “Russian Disinformation Videos Smear Biden Ahead of U.S. Election.” It seems that the Kremlin is manipulating social media to mislead right-wing voters with “fake videos” about President Biden. He has always been a venal mediocrity and time is not his friend. Inevitably, this tale was picked up by cable “news” networks. On MSNBC, for example, Joe Scarborough offered this thoughtful analysis: “Here we have more reporting of what has never really stopped. That is, Vladimir Putin and Russia trying to help Trump get elected again.” Scarborough also made the following bizarre claim, “Russian disinformation is being spread on the House floor by Republican members.” Last week, the Washington Post joined the chorus of conspiracy theorists by accusing the Republican National Committee (RNC) of joining the disinformation plot by using out-of-context videos to “attack Biden” pursuant to the senior moments he experienced at the recent D-Day commemoration: Such deceptively edited videos — known as “cheap fakes” because they misrepresent events simply by manipulating video or audio, or by leaving out context — have become staples of Republican attacks against Biden. They are easier to make and disseminate than content generated by artificial intelligence and can quickly go viral, allowing Biden’s opponents to take innocuous moments and turn them into attacks on his mental acuity … The videos taken from Biden’s D-Day event relied on taking the videos out of context as opposed to editing them in a misleading way. This is a typical example of the “journalism” that caused the Washington Post to lose $77 million last year and half its digital traffic since 2020. The authors of the piece commit every offense they accuse the RNC of perpetrating. There was so much video taken of these D-Day events that it would be impossible for any news outlet to use without leaving almost all of it on the “cutting room floor.” The only difference between the clips labeled “edited video” and “source video” in the Post article is that the latter were edited in ways that unsuccessfully attempt to render Biden’s behavior seemingly normal. Such “reporting” is what prompted the Post’s CEO to tell aghast staffers, “People are not reading your stuff.” (WATCH: The Spectacle Ep. 117: David Catron: Why Tim Scott Should be Trump’s VP) The Post story notwithstanding, there’s Biden’s odd behavior at the G7 Summit. He held few one-on-one meetings with other leaders, failed to appear at a gala that every other G7 leader attended, and greeted Pope Francis with a weird head bump that clearly “surprised” the Pontiff. And then there’s the skydiving demonstration. Despite furious denials by the White House, Biden wandered off as the other G7 leaders nervously looked on. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had to fetch him and point him in the right direction. And how are the Russians involved in all of all this? Most of these videos are viewed on X, and the corporate media imply that Elon Musk is pro-Russia, as in this Wall Street Journal podcast: He’s not exactly known as someone who keeps his views to himself. But in recent months, Musk’s commentary has led some people to accuse him of having a pro-Russia stance and being an apologist for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Musk has called these accusations absurd, but his comments are raising questions about how X will be used in the upcoming US presidential election … And then you also, you look at X, the platform itself, and there’s concerns among some disinformation experts about how that platform is being used by Russia to stir the disinformation that reminds some of the 2016 presidential election cycle. So, here we are: Biden’s problems are primarily attributable to Russian disinformation and that the main conduit through which it is conveyed is X, courtesy of Elon Musk. Never mind that, since 2016, Democrats like Hillary Clinton have insisted their self-inflicted wounds are all attributable to that perennial hobgoblin — Vladimir Putin. Forget that, if Musk hadn’t provided free internet service to Ukraine via Starlink, Russia’s invasion would probably have succeeded in less than a month. As Musk argues, he has probably done more than anyone to undermine Russia. Yet President Biden and the corporate media need someone or something to blame for his dismal job approval ratings and these people are congenital liars. (READ MORE: Tim Scott Is Trump’s Ideal Running Mate) Consequently, there must be some dark conspiracy to portray Biden as a man whose limited gifts have been further vitiated by old age and the cognitive decline that often accompanies that condition. In reality, there is no need for some dark plot to undermine Biden’s stature. He has always been a venal mediocrity and time is not his friend. If he and the ghouls who constitute his inner circle continue to insist that he is qualified to serve a second term, he will probably be humiliated if he is capable of comprehending that he lost. Return From American Zombieland

Watching Joe Biden drift off to the far left of all the other dark-suited government heads at the G7 summit in Italy last week, then get pulled back right by white-clad conservative Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni, I couldn’t help but reflect on the symbolism on display. Several of the other liberal leaders present had either just experienced total rejection in the recent EU vote — President Emmanuel Macron of France, Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany — or face strong headwinds in imminent elections — Biden, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of Great Britain, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada. Only rightist PM Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party had made huge gains, a good sign for two continents. I hope he has enough lucidity left to know it was the American people who rejected him and his ideological controllers. The saddest thing about the President of the United States being a mindless zombie is that leftists can blame his state for wrecking America rather than their wretched ideology. They will reiterate the old canard, “Real socialism has not been tried,” because it constantly fools the ignorant. Every fine thing they’ve ever touched, that they could never create, turns to refuse. This unbroken curse now menaces the greatest country in the history of the world. And the danger signs are everywhere. (READ MORE from Lou Aguilar: Feminism’s Secret Weapon: Weak Men) Under continuous liberal control, some of the most spectacular cities ever built — Baltimore, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle — became putrid crime-ridden hellscapes. And even when rare bouts of sanity temporarily reversed the decline — such as the mayoralty of Rudy Giuliani (1994-2001) which converted New York into a clean, safe model city — progressive gravity pulled it back down into a sinkhole. In no time, lunatic policies like defund the police, sanctuary cities, de facto legal shoplifting, unprosecuted violent crime, and anti-white male racism and sexism destroyed all semblance of order. In the new normal, an ex-Marine who heroically restrains a crazed black man threatening passengers on a Manhattan subway train, advancing his death, gets charged with homicide. This, after Manhattan’s first black DA downgraded 52 percent of felony cases to misdemeanors. The same DA did not hesitate to prosecute a former President and opposition party leader for imaginary crimes well past the statute of limitations. The defendant’s only real crime was disrupting the leftists’ hold on power and deliberate damage to the nation. For nine years, the military-industrial-political-media establishment threw everything they had — and hadn’t — at the man, even after successfully ousting him from the White House in 2020. And it was to a bunch of useful idiots that just enough naïve, foolish, or America-despising voters handed the entire country four years ago. To no one’s surprise, their disasters commenced immediately. They removed secure border measures allowing millions of illegal aliens to cross undeterred, and many of them to cause havoc. Afghanistan fell to the Taliban in an explosion of dead and wounded American service members and seized modern weaponry. The fossil fuel sector was reduced in favor of illusory green energy, increasing inflation and retarding the economy. Chinese spy balloons flew unimpeded over secret military bases, prompting absurd Pentagon mendacity that their intelligence gathering capability had been blocked. Instead, the vegetative President and his Justice Department issued threats against patriotic American citizens, concerned parents, and pro-life Christians, throwing many of them in jail. He bitterly taunted Second Amendment adherents. “Those brave right-wing Americans who say (the Second Amendment) is all about keeping America independent and safe. If you want to fight against the country, you need an F-15. You need something more than a gun.” The poor buffoon doesn’t understand that the man in the F-15 would likelier side with the Constitutionalists rather than him. Unless of course he’s part of the Administration’s new woke trans recruitment drive. But then a DEI hire probably would be unable to fly the plane. Two wars broke out in Europe and the Middle East. And the U.S. is embarrassing itself in the second by coddling the terrorists and harassing the retributors. Such waffling always has the same historical result — an exponential increase of troubles as our enemies probe all the farther. And it’s happening now. Last week, I viewed a sight that brought back awful memories from my native country — a Russian nuclear sub and warships sailing into Havana Harbor, 90 miles from where I live now. My governor, Ron DeSantis, the man who will be President someday, perfectly addressed the situation. He placed the blame right where it belongs — on the current Commander-In-Sleep. “We’re failing as a country with the deterrent capability, and I think it starts at the top with the President of the United States,” DeSantis said. “I think history has shown that these bad actors — they respond to strength, and they’re deterred by strength. They are not going to be deterred by weakness. They are not going to be deterred by confusion … They are not going to be deterred by a president wandering around aimlessly at the G7.” Weakness and confusion are almost all Biden has left, and one more thing which is keeping him going when anyone else in his degenerated state would be in a rest home — hatred. Sheer, unadulterated hate for conservatives — whom he red-faced calls “MAGA Republicans” — and specifically the man who represents us. Whom most polls say will trounce him this November, and whom he has done everything in his power to destroy. (READ MORE: ‘Now Tarzan Make War’ – On the Democrats) For Joe Biden is, and always has been, a bitter little man. And when Donald Trump displaces him in January as the polls predict, I hope he has enough lucidity left to know it was the American people who rejected him and his ideological controllers. Then he can wander off as far left as he wishes. The post Return From American Zombieland appeared first on The American Spectator | USA News and Politics.

Biden’s Border Crisis Comes Home to Roost

Last week eight illegal aliens — all military aged-males from Tajikistan — were arrested in three U.S. cities and accused of being members of ISIS who were planning terrorist attacks against the United States. There’s a lot to parse out in that event. Let’s start with the fact that the illegal aliens — who came through our open southern border — were vetted and admitted into the United States without further ado. According to all the media reports I can find there was no negative information about any of the eight in U.S. Border Patrol or intelligence databases. According to that Fox News report, all eight were “fully vetted” and nothing was found to indicate their ISIS affiliation. A nation that doesn’t enforce its borders is not a nation. So much for the so-called “terror watch list.” We don’t know yet what caused law enforcement to identify these men as possible terrorists and led to their arrests, but the media reports say that after they were admitted to the U.S., information was developed of “national security concerns” which were, at least in part, their affiliation with ISIS. According to the same Fox News report the ISIS Eight were caught as a result of intercepted conversations among them talking about bombs. (READ MORE from Jed Babbin: Hunter’s Laptop: The Other Story) What this incident tells us is that there is no real vetting of people coming into the U.S. illegally. If there were, the ISIS Eight wouldn’t have been admitted into the country. Thus, the “vetted” illegals are now as much danger to America as the “gotaways.” Three weeks ago, I wrote about the “gotaways” — those illegals who enter the U.S. managing to evade the Border Patrol. There have been at least two million of them since Biden became president. We know that the drug cartels are making it easy for people of all sorts — drug smugglers, terrorists, and others who mean us harm — to be smuggled into the U.S. As I wrote in that piece three weeks ago, the efficiency and the effectiveness of the cartels’ people-smuggling operations means that the FBI, Border Patrol, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agencies lack the ability to gather the intelligence information that would ensure that people such as the ISIS Eight couldn’t get into the country. President Biden is impervious to the facts and logic of the open border crisis he created. His executive order supposedly reducing the admission of people and their asylum claims was, as Louisiana Republican Sen. John Kennedy said of it, “a scam.” It will do nothing to control, far less reduce, the number of illegals coming across our border. It is also meaningless in controlling the number of “gotaways” who slip in. According to some estimates, Biden has made more than ninety executive orders and other policy changes to open our southern (and northern) borders to illegals. His latest executive order does nothing to stem the flow. Stemming the flow is what Texas Gov. Greg Abbot is doing. Abbot is erecting physical barriers at the border — despite Biden’s orders to not do so — and they are proving effective. The flow of illegals across the border into Texas has slowed to a trickle. We know that the ISIS Eight are only destined to be deported. What that means is that the next time they want to get in, they’ll hire the cartels to smuggle them in and they will join the millions of “gotaways” that are already here. And let’s not forget that the flow of “gotaways” appears to be steady in gaining access to the United States. What this all means is that the “gotaways” — those here and those coming in — are capable of doing our country great harm. We know that al-Qaida, Hizballah, and all the other terrorist networks have established themselves in South America (again, please re-read my column of three weeks ago) and are gradually sending their operatives into the U.S. Why shouldn’t they? Biden is making it easy for them to do so. There are myriad things we could do to better protect our country, including building Trump’s border wall, but Biden won’t do any of them. It is the biggest scandal of the Biden administration and few, if any, Republicans are even trying to do anything about it.(READ MORE: Impeach Biden?) Like the Border Patrol, ICE and the FBI are overwhelmed. There are simply too many people coming into this country from countries like Tajikistan, Iran, China, Russia, and probably North Korea for them to even be aware of the threat individuals (and groups) among them pose. The intelligence they are gathering isn’t enough to enable them to protect us. We keep hearing that Mexico wants to do more to help us protect our border but evidence of that is exceedingly hard to find. What are they doing to attack the drug cartels and make it impossible for them to smuggle the gotaways into the U.S.? Nothing, apparently. The drug cartels are rampant in Mexico, which is a failed state. If we had a different president, we could literally be attacking the cartels on their home ground. You may remember Tom Clancy’s novel, “Clear and Present Danger,” which portrayed U.S. troops going into Mexico to do just that. We are not doing anything of the sort and it’s high time we were — clandestinely or otherwise — because Mexico won’t. Biden needs to do more, a lot more, to protect us from the next big terrorist attack. But he won’t. We need a new president who understands the problem and is willing to act against it. Trump promises the biggest deportation program in our history. That would be a good step but it’s not enough. We need to shut down the cartel smuggling that brings the gotaways into our nation and protect ourselves — by closing the border to illegals — from them as well. We need Trump’s border wall, possibly on our northern border as well as the southern one. We are at risk of becoming a failed state, open to terrorism, sabotage, and other acts against us. A nation that doesn’t enforce its borders is not a nation. It’s just that simple and that complex a problem that our next president will have to deal with. If he’s reelected, Biden won’t.
