Removing Just One Spoon of Salt from Diet Can Lower Blood Pressure as Well or Better Than Medications

Even patients already on blood pressure medication can bring theirs down further by not adding additional salt above a certain limit to their food‚ scientists from a trio of universities found in a new paper. Consuming one less teaspoon of salt a day resulted in a systolic blood pressure decline comparable to the effect achieved […] The post Removing Just One Spoon of Salt from Diet Can Lower Blood Pressure as Well or Better Than Medications appeared first on Good News Network.

US Business Execs Give Chinese Dictator Multiple Standing Ovations During Exclusive Dinner

Following President Joe Biden’s and Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s summit on Wednesday‚ the communist dictator‚ whose government has perpetrated extensive‚ well-documented crimes against humanity‚ was warmly received with multiple standing ovations at a lavish dinner that evening in San Francisco attended by prominent U.S. business executives and government officials. The dinner‚ which was hosted by the U.S.-China Business Council and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations‚ was attended by about 300 people. General admission to the dinner cost $2‚000‚ and a group of “Corporate Sponsors” sat at the “Guest of Honor’s” table for a $40‚000 fee. The business executives at the table included: Tim Cook‚ CEO of Apple Stephen Schwarzman‚ chairman and CEO of Blackstone Larry Fink‚ chairman and CEO of BlackRock Stanley Deal‚ president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Merit Janow‚ chair of Mastercard Milind Pant‚ CEO of Amway Darius Adamczyk‚ executive chairman of Honeywell Hock Tan‚ president and CEO of Broadcom Robert Goldstein‚ chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Joseph Bae‚ co-CEO of KKR Daniel O’Day‚ chairman and CEO of Gilead Sciences Ming Hsieh‚ chairman and CEO of Fulgent Genetics Video of the event reveals a parade of three executives and a U.S. official introducing Xi and showering the communist dictator with praise‚ including Ambassador Craig Allen‚ president of the USCBC; Marc Casper‚ CEO of Thermo Fisher Scientific; U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo; and Evan Greenberg‚ CEO of Chubb Insurance. As Xi entered the Hyatt Regency banquet hall‚ the guests stood and applauded for almost a full minute. Then‚ after 20 minutes of laudatory introductory remarks‚ the crowd gave another standing ovation to the authoritarian that lasted over 40 seconds. A third standing ovation at the end of Xi’s remarks lasted another half minute. While the executives presumably attended the dinner to curry favor with the head of the world’s second-largest economy‚ they were likely disappointed. “[Xi] offered no hints of concessions to business or even interest in more investment in the Chinese economy‚” a senior American business executive who attended the dinner told The Wall Street Journal. “The speech was propaganda at its finest.” Meanwhile‚ the laundry list of egregious human rights abuses that have occurred in China under the 10-year rule of Xi’s dictatorship is extensive and well-documented. Since he assumed office in 2013‚ China has “seen a strong reduction in freedom in all sectors of society‚” according to the religious freedom advocacy organization Open Doors. Most infamously‚ a tribunal has determined the communist regime has forcibly cut open tens of thousands of people—while still alive—in order to harvest their organs. The victims are mostly adherents to disfavored religious groups such as Falun Gong‚ but also others such as the Uyghurs. It is estimated that at least 65‚000 Falun Gong practitioners have been killed for their organs since 2001‚ but the number is likely much higher as of today. In addition‚ China’s “one-child policy‚” in which the communist regime forcibly sterilized and aborted the unborn children of women who did not comply‚ lasted for three years into Xi’s tenure until 2016. The government has since instituted a “two-child policy‚” followed by a “three-child policy” in 2021‚ but the government still imposes restrictions on the number of children families can have. The Chinese Communist Party revealed in 2013 that 336 million abortions were carried out under the one-child policy since 1979. Under Xi’s government‚ China has seen a drastic increase in persecution of religious believers. For Christians‚ this has included the demolition of churches‚ the raiding of house churches‚ the use of facial recognition technology‚ mass incarceration‚ and forced indoctrination of atheistic allegiance to the CCP. For ethnic Uyghur Muslims living in the Xinjiang region‚ Xi’s government has engaged in a level of persecution so drastic that the U.S. government‚ in a parting move by Donald Trump’s administration‚ declared in 2021 that the regime is committing genocide. Since 2017‚ up to 2 million Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities have been arbitrarily detained in “re-education” camps. As has been reported‚ detainees are subject to forced indoctrination and renunciation of their religious beliefs‚ sterilization‚ rape‚ torture‚ and execution‚ often in order to have their organs harvested. Once they are allowed to leave the camps‚ these ethnic minorities are often compelled into forced labor. As has been documented‚ over 80 corporations from all over the world have been linked to the factories in which this forced labor occurs‚ including American companies such as Apple‚ Nike‚ Patagonia‚ Polo Ralph Lauren‚ Gap‚ L.L. Bean‚ and many others. Seamus Bruner‚ director of research at the Government Accountability Institute‚ further explained how the corporate world has partnered with China to gain enormous financial profit during Thursday’s edition of “Washington Watch.” “Whether it’s Apple computers‚ whether it’s Nike with their factories over in China‚ whether it’s Jeff Bezos [at] Amazon‚ they have all built enormous fortunes for themselves and for their companies at the expense of the Chinese people‚” he observed. “ … [I]t is a deep partnership. Men like Bill Gates have helped the Chinese Communist Party censor journalists … with Skype‚ which is a Microsoft company. … So the partnership seems even more than financial. … And in exchange‚ [they get] cheap labor.” Arielle Del Turco‚ director of the Center for Religious Liberty at Family Research Council‚ also expressed grave concern over the willingness of U.S. business leaders to openly applaud the authoritarian leader of a communist regime that continues to commit atrocities on a mass scale. “This was a shameless display by American corporate executives‚” she told The Washington Stand. “It demonstrates what we always knew to be true about most American corporations. They really don’t care about what atrocities are currently going on in China‚ as long as they can cash in on their ties to the Chinese economy. This doesn’t benefit the United States‚ and it certainly doesn’t benefit those suffering from forced labor as a part of the Chinese supply chain.” Del Turco continued‚ “The U.S. officially determined in 2021 that the Chinese government was committing genocide against Uyghur Muslims. That is still in effect‚ which means that American business leaders were applauding an authoritarian leader who is still responsible for an ongoing genocide‚ according to the U.S. government. Genocidal rulers don’t deserve standing ovations.” Originally published by The Washington Stand Have an opinion about this article? Transgender Faux Females Have No Place in Miss Universe Pageant

How humiliating and disheartening must it be for a Miss Universe pageant contestant to lose to a “woman” with a penis and testicles? That‚ regrettably‚ is not a hypothetical question. That’s exactly what happened to real young women earlier this year in preliminary pageants in two European nations‚ Portugal and the Netherlands. On Saturday night‚ those countries will be represented by a pair of transgender faux females at the 72nd annual Miss Universe pageant. To borrow a vintage 55-year-old advertising line from Virginia Slims cigarettes‚ “You’ve come a long way‚ Baby.” Just not in the way Phillip Morris envisioned it in 1968. And there may be yet more humiliation and heartbreak ahead for the XX-chromosomed real women participating in the pageant this weekend. Don’t discount the possibility that either “Miss” Portugal‚ Marina Machete‚ or “Miss” Netherlands‚ Rikkie Valerie Kolle‚ could walk away with the sash and tiara this weekend in El Salvador. That’s because the CEO of the company that now owns and operates the Miss Universe pageant‚ JKN Global Group‚ is Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip‚ a Thai man who himself insists he’s a woman‚ biology to the contrary notwithstanding. His modus operandi for the pageant appears to be “if it ain’t broke‚ break it.”  “Trans women are women‚ full stop‚” the Miss Universe Organization declared after Machete won the Portuguese crown. (“Full stop”? Really? At the risk of a double entendre here‚ they … umm … forgot the “period.” Or maybe the omission was intentional.) Last November‚ shortly after acquiring the pageant‚ Jakrajutatip vowed to the Bangkok Post newspaper: “We will adopt a new concept‚ ‘One universe‚’ in which opportunities to participate in the competition will be given also to trans women and married women‚ and fairness in the contest judging will be ensured.” (emphasis added) And we all know how the unhinged Left spells “fairness”: D-E-I‚ as in “diversity‚ equity and inclusion.”  “This will be the first beauty contest with real gender equality and inclusion‚” Jakrajutatip averred.  Not quite. “Miss” Portugal and “Miss” Netherlands aren’t the first transgender “women” to compete for the Miss Universe crown. In 2018‚ Angela Ponce‚ “Miss Spain‚” beat them to it‚ but finished out of the Top 10 finalists. The Portuguese and Dutch contestants will be competing against 90 real women from around the world‚ including‚ for the first time‚ a contestant from Pakistan. Ten other countries have withdrawn from this year’s pageant‚ though it’s unknown whether any of them did so to protest the participation of the faux females. Italy did the next best thing: It barred transgender “women” from its Miss Universe competition‚ stipulating that its contestants “must be a woman from birth.” (Miss Italy is not affiliated with the Miss Universe Organization‚ however‚ and the Miss Italy Universe pageant is a separate contest‚ according to CNN.) Even if the Miss Universe pageant weren’t owned by a transgender person‚ it wouldn’t be entirely surprising that biological men have been allowed into the competition‚ given that so many other endeavors heretofore reserved exclusively for real women have been invaded by these intersex interlopers‚ most notably high school and collegiate athletics.  So has the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue‚ and earlier this month‚ Glamour magazine named as one of its seven “women of the year” a transgender model‚ whom one critic ridiculed on Glamour’s Instagram page as “a man in a dress.” What’s just as disconcerting is the deafening silence of liberal “cisgender” women who purport to champion women’s rights but who won’t stand up for the real girls and women being cheated out of athletic awards and scholarships—or‚ in this case‚ pageant titles. As recently as 2015‚ the Miss Universe pageant was co-owned by Donald Trump‚ who‚ for the past couple of years‚ has spoken out forcefully against allowing faux females to interlope in girls’ and women’s sports.  Maybe the once-and-(perhaps)-future president should buy the pageant back and make Miss Universe great again. Or at least make it all-XX chromosomes again. Originally published at WashingtonTimes.com Have an opinion about this article? With 2023 Elections in Rearview Mirror‚ These 6 Voter Fraud Cases Aren’t Yet Settled

It’s been an off-year for elections‚ but voter fraud scandals were on in 2023‚ affecting local races in New England‚ Iowa‚ New Jersey‚ and Texas.  At least three of these scandals—in New England states—affected races that were on the ballot this year. Others involved formal charges brought for alleged fraud in past elections.  In the past week alone‚ one election was overturned in Texas‚ a federal voter fraud trial began in Iowa‚ and politicians in Connecticut grappled over when to have a do-over election after a judge tossed the results.  On top of that‚ multiple alleged cases of election fraud were caught on video.  As explained in my 2022 book “The Myth of Voter Suppression‚” voter fraud is a demonstrably real problem proven by numerous convictions and overturned elections. The most common form of fraud is through absentee voting and ballot harvesting.  Here’s a look at six election fraud cases being prosecuted or investigated in the aftermath of the 2023 elections.  1. Caught on Camera in Connecticut Drop Box A week before the general election in Bridgeport‚ Connecticut‚ the state’s largest city‚ state Judge William Clark tossed out the results of Democrats’ September primary pitting incumbent Mayor Joe Ganim against challenger John Gomes.  Gomes was ahead on election night in the primary‚ but after absentee ballots came in the next day‚ Ganim was declared the winner.  The judge called the evidence of fraud “shocking.” That evidence was on video‚ which shows the vice chair of the Bridgeport Democratic Committee apparently stuffing ballots into a drop box outside Bridgeport City Hall.  The judge didn’t have the authority to postpone the general election‚ which went forward Tuesday. Although Ganim defeated Gomes in the general election‚ it appears unlikely to count. The court gave the candidates until Wednesday to agree on a primary date‚ or the court would set one.  Gomes reportedly wants a Dec. 19 primary‚ while Ganim and the city want to hold it Jan. 19.  Ganim is known as one of the state’s biggest comeback stories.  The Bridgeport mayor’s political career seemed to have come to an end in 2003 after he was convicted on racketeering‚ extortion‚ and other public corruption charges and sentenced to nine years in prison. But Ganim was elected again as mayor in 2015 and has been reelected in each subsequent election.   2. Alleged Vote Buying in Springfield‚ Massachusetts Just days before the general election in Springfield‚ Massachusetts‚ city election officials accused mayoral candidate  Justin Hurst of buying votes during in-person early voting.  Hurst‚ a member of the Springfield City Council‚ was challenging incumbent Mayor Domenic J. Sarno. Both are Democrats. Video footage caught people being dropped off in black SUVs and entering City Hall to vote. After they come out with “I Voted” stickers‚ a man “takes out what appears to be a large bundle of cash” and hands bills to each individual‚ according to an affidavit from Springfield Elections Commissioner Gladys Oyola-Lopez‚ as reported by Western Mass News and other news outlets.  Hurst denied the allegations and said he was the target of a “smear campaign.” If the allegations were true‚ it was a bad investment. Surno won a sixth term as mayor on election night.  3. Stealing Ballots?  Massachusetts received disproportionate attention this year on the voter fraud front. Like the aforementioned two cases‚ election fraud alleged in Lawrence‚ Massachusetts‚ also was caught on video.   NBC 10 Boston first reported Wednesday on video footage that seems to show a woman removing a ballot from a mailbox. Another woman made a similar complaint to police‚ the news outlet reported‚ and officials said there may be others. Some voters in Lawrence said they showed up to vote in person and were told they had already sent in a mail-in ballot. The Essex County District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin are investigating the allegations.  “We’re going to get all the ballots out of Lawrence‚ we’re going to get all the mail-in ballots‚ and we’re going to review everything and all the provisionals and reconcile the list‚” Galvin told the news station. “And if further investigation contacting some of the people who allegedly voted by mail needs to be done‚ we will do it.”   4. That 2020 Election On Wednesday‚ the federal voter fraud trial of Kim Phuong Taylor began in Iowa‚ the Sioux City Journal reported.  Kim Taylor is the wife of Woodbury County Supervisor Jeremy Taylor‚ who unsuccessfully ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2020 Republican primary for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District. Her husband was named as an unindicted coconspirator.  Federal prosecutors allege that Kim Taylor engaged in a fraudulent scheme in both her husband’s failed House race and his successful reelection for the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors.  Taylor allegedly submitted or caused others to submit dozens of voter registrations‚ absentee ballot request forms‚ and absentee ballots containing false information‚ according to the Justice Department.  These documents required the signer to affirm that he or she was the person named in them‚ but prosecutors allege Taylor signed the documents for voters without their permission and told others that they could sign on behalf of relatives who weren’t present. Federal prosecutors indicted Kim Taylor on 26 counts of providing false information in registering and voting‚ three counts of fraudulent registration‚ and 23 counts of fraudulent voting. She faces up to five years for each count.  5. Overturning Election in Texas On Tuesday‚ just a little over a year after the 2022 election for the Laredo City Council‚ a Texas state appeals court made what might be the final ruling in an alleged scam involving city police officers.  The appeals court ruled that Ricardo Rangel Jr. was the rightful winner of the District 2 council seat over Daisy Campos Rodriguez‚ who won the 2022 race by six votes‚ the Laredo Morning Times reported.   A lower court ruled in February that 11 votes were cast illegally in favor of Campos Rodriguez the previous November. Officers with the Laredo Police Department reportedly cast some illegal votes. Three of them were suspended and another retired. 6. That Other 2020 Election‚ Jersey-Style  In late October‚ the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office charged Paterson Council Speaker Alex Mendez with stealing mail-in ballots.  State prosecutors also alleged that Mendez‚ his wife‚ and two campaign supporters attempted to rig the 2020 election‚ NBC 4 New York reported. Investigators said hundreds of ballots were stolen‚ falsified‚ or improperly delivered.  New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin‚ a Democrat‚ said the Mendez campaign attempted “to rig an election in their favor and to deprive the voters of Paterson of having their voices heard.”  Paterson is the third-largest city in New Jersey.  Have an opinion about this article? Good Guys (and Gals) With Guns Still Out There‚ as These 12 Examples Show

The tragic mass shooting last month in Lewiston‚ Maine‚ sent gun control activists into their typical attacks on the right to keep and bear arms. Many defaulted to their standard narrative that the real “bad guy” wasn’t the murderer‚ but the Second Amendment and its supporters. Instead of demanding accountability from the government officials who failed to enforce existing criminal and mental health laws‚ they immediately demanded additional gun control measures that punish ordinary‚ peaceable Americans. Even worse‚ some derided millions of law-abiding gun owners by asserting that the murderer was just another “good guy with a gun” up until the moment he started killing innocent people. Others mocked gun owners by asking where all the “good guys with guns” were to stop the slaughter. Comments like these‚ of course‚ ignore reality. As is the case in so many mass public shootings‚ the Lewiston gunman was anything but a “good guy‚” and he targeted victims in places where he was least likely to be met with armed resistance. Meanwhile‚ the fact that the Lewiston shooter wasn’t stopped by an armed civilian doesn’t negate the many other instances last month in which Americans successfully used their firearms to defend themselves‚ their loved ones‚ and even complete strangers from criminal violence. Such defensive gun uses are far from uncommon. Almost every major study has found that Americans use their firearms in self-defense between 500‚000 and 3 million times annually‚ as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has acknowledged. In 2021‚ the most comprehensive study ever conducted on the issue concluded that roughly 1.6 million defensive gun uses occur in the United States every year. For this reason‚ The Daily Signal publishes a monthly article highlighting some of the previous month’s many news stories on defensive gun use that you may have missed—or that might not have made it to the national spotlight in the first place. (Read other accounts here from past months and years. You also may follow @DailyDGU on Twitter for daily highlights of defensive gun uses.) The 12 examples below represent only a small portion of the news stories on defensive gun use that we found in October. You may explore more using The Heritage Foundation’s interactive Defensive Gun Use Database. (The Daily Signal is Heritage’s news organization.) Oct. 3‚ Chicago: In the aftermath of a multi-vehicle crash involving a city bus‚ police said‚ a gunman opened fire in the direction of bystanders‚ striking and wounding a Chicago Transit Authority bus supervisor. A tow truck driver with a concealed carry permit returned fire at the gunman‚ who fled. Oct. 5‚ Phoenix: Police said an armed resident fatally shot a man who broke into a residence through a window while the family‚ including two young daughters‚ was home.  Oct. 6‚ Bismark‚ North Dakota: A couple woke up when a highly intoxicated and naked intruder broke into their home‚ police said. The man claimed he was there to “retrieve his clothing.” The husband held the intruder—a complete stranger—at gunpoint until police arrived. Oct. 11‚ Shreveport‚ Louisiana: After a woman’s ex-boyfriend broke into her home while armed with a knife and a bat‚ police said‚ a man inside shot him. The intruder‚ whose wounds weren’t life-threatening‚ was taken into police custody. Oct. 13‚ Virginia Beach‚ Virginia: Police said a contractor for a flooring company was justified in shooting and wounding a man who‚ during a dispute over construction noise‚ brandished a gun and physically assaulted the contractor’s co-worker. Oct. 15‚ Hollywood Hills‚ California: An award-winning Hollywood hair stylist fatally shot an intruder as he tried to force his way into her home through a window in the middle of the night‚ police said. The woman’s neighbors told reporters that this was not the first time she’d been the victim of burglars. Oct. 16‚ Bellaire‚ Ohio: Police said a man shot and wounded an ax-wielding assailant who attacked him and another woman during a domestic dispute. The assailant was taken to jail on active warrants. Both his victims were hospitalized and treated for injuries. Oct. 19‚ Auburn‚ Washington: During an attempted home invasion‚ police said‚ three armed and masked men tried to force their way inside while shouting‚ “Seattle police!” The homeowner fired several shots through the door‚ sending all three men fleeing. Oct. 21‚ Wake Forest‚ North Carolina: An armed bystander with a concealed carry permit intervened during an altercation in a grocery store parking lot that was related to domestic violence‚ police said. The bystander returned fire when a man began shooting‚ causing him to flee. Police caught the assailant‚ who is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill‚ among other offenses. Oct. 22‚ Skokie‚ Illinois: A man attending a pro-Israel rally got out of his car‚ which was covered in Israeli flags‚ only to be surrounded by pro-Palestine demonstrators‚ some of whom physically attacked him‚ police said. The man‚ a concealed carry permit holder‚ drew his gun and fired into the air. Police later determined it was an act of lawful self-defense. Oct. 25‚ Philadelphia: A convenience store employee fatally shot an armed robber who threatened him with a gun and started taking cash from the register‚ police said. Other employees told reporters that their armed co-worker had gotten his concealed carry permit and sought out firearms training after surviving an earlier armed robbery at the store. Oct. 28‚ Atlanta: A man was doing construction work at a residence when he saw a juvenile breaking into his utility vehicle and confronted him‚ police said. The juvenile drew a gun and fired. The construction worker‚ also armed‚ returned fire‚ striking and wounding the would-be thief. As these examples demonstrate‚ far more “good guys with guns” live in the United States than gun control advocates often care to admit. And they successfully protect themselves and others on a regular basis. Don’t be misled: None of the gun control measures proposed in the wake of last month’s Lewiston shooting likely would have saved a single life. Those measures certainly wouldn’t have been more effective than merely using existing laws to disarm those who‚ like that mass killer‚ are mentally ill and dangerous. The right to keep and bear arms won’t protect every innocent person from every evil‚ any more than seatbelts will protect every passenger in every car crash. The Second Amendment does‚ however‚ give them a fighting chance. Have an opinion about this article? Teachers Conference Lecture Declares Math a ‘Tool of Oppression’

Math can oppress students of color due to the inequitable system it was developed under‚ according to a slide presentation at the University of Oregon’s 2023 mathematics conference reviewed by The Daily Signal.  Oregon high school math teacher Jered Ratliff delivered a lecture called “Mathematics as a tool of oppression” at the Northwest Mathematics Conference in Portland on Oct. 14‚ which was sponsored by the University of Oregon.  “Recent politicization of mathematics has driven questions about its pedagogy in our schools‚ but these questions fail to recognize mathematics as a potentially oppressive tool‚” Ratliff’s description of the lecture reads. “Mathematics is our single most powerful academic building block‚ but the power it holds frequently allows it to inhibit discovery and societal good.”  Ratliff “is interested in exploring intersectionality of social justice and global power dynamics created by math systems‚” according to his biographical information on the math conference website.  The math education system in America was developed 200 years ago when only the children of white landowners were educated‚ according to Ratliff’s presentation. “It’s not saying that specific questions or standards themselves are racist‚” a slide depicting a text conversation between Ratliff and a friend from a few years ago reads. “But if the way we are teaching continually leaves people of color behind‚ why wouldn’t I want to dismantle the process that is least somewhat responsible for that inequity?” Ratliff continues to say that “math proficiency doesn’t mean superiority.” Only 30% of Oregon students tested as proficient in math in 2022‚ according to the Oregon Department of Education.  Ratliff is involved with Oregon’s Math Alignment Project‚ which released a series of modules on “equitable math” practices to disrupt “the systemic inequities of schooling.” Discussion questions in the modules encourage teachers to consider how their “potential bias” might “inadvertently reinforce inequities.” In the October presentation’s description‚ Ratliff said he would “share about math’s tremendous‚ often subtle‚ power that is more often used to stifle than it is to inspire.” “My dream is to see math fully and mutually used as a tool not to subvert but instead for liberation‚” he wrote in the session’s description. Ratliff told The Daily Signal he is seeking ways to “make math better.” “I’ve always loved math‚” Ratliff said in an email. “I’ve taught it in high school for 16 years. I don’t think it is racist. I do think it’s oppressive to many people‚ and I believe that is largely because I have yet to find how we have addressed the rapidly changing world by also innovating our math learning‚ discovery‚ and education.” From 1650 to present-day America‚ mathematical discovery has often been rooted in American colonialism‚ chattel slavery‚ and so-called subjugating systems‚ Ratliff said. He elaborated on this idea in his essay that was the basis of his Northwest Mathematics Conference presentation last month.  One of the conference slides said the “U.S. was once at the forefront of innovations benefiting humanity” but “shifted from innovator to subverting and stymying progress.” Thus‚ America is an “agent of ‘re-oppression.’”  Ratliff listed three steps to flatten the so-called math hierarchy in his slideshow: “Identify a structure or system with mathematics as its basis‚” “identify those in positions of power in this structure‚” and “identify those traditionally at the mercy of this structure” in order to “dismantle the hierarchy.” The University of Oregon did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment.  Have an opinion about this article?
