Just after a slew of Hollywood stars led by major Democrat donor George Clooney publicly said President Joe Biden should end his re-election campaign, many celebrities are voicing their thoughts after his official withdrawal from the race. Leftist “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill heaped praise on Biden, sharing on X that he believed Biden “has a record of accomplishments unmatched by any president in our lifetime. He restored honesty, dignity & integrity to the office after 4 years of lies, crime, scandal & chaos. Thank you for your service, Mr. President. It’s now our duty as patriotic Americans to elect the Democrat who will honor & further your legacy.”  The 72-year-old actor followed up with his support for Vice President Kamala Harris. “Vote for the candidate who will both honor & further his legacy,” he said alongside a photo of himself with the VP. Robert De Niro told The Hill he was happy with Biden’s decision to step down. “In an act of shrewd politics and selfless patriotism, Joe Biden is stepping aside to clear the path for another Democrat to become president . . . because there is nothing more important for our country than defeating Donald Trump at the ballot box,” De Niro said. “With respect, admiration, and affection, thank you Mr. President!” Recording artist Barbra Streisand also sang Biden’s praises. “Joe Biden will go down in history as a man who accomplished significant achievements in his 4 year term. We should be grateful for his upholding of our democracy,” she wrote on X. Cher also tweeted: “In my heart I’m (sic) tortured, Because I Don’t believe the Democrats Can win the Presidency With ‘Pres Biden'” She continued: “‘Joe’ whom I’ve Loved since we met in 2008. Now let us unite behind Kamala Harris and defeat Donald Trump in November!”

Charlamagne Tha God said he’s not happy with former President Barack Obama after Obama didn’t endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in his statement after President Joe Biden announced he was stepping out of the race. During the radio host’s show on Monday on “The Breakfast Club,” he and political commentator Angela Rye agreed that Obama’s on the “wrong side of history” after he declined on Sunday to come out and endorse Harris for the Democratic Presidential nominee. “I don’t want to hear nothing from former President Obama and then about a process or an open primary because y’all didn’t care about primaries a year ago when people were calling for them against Biden,” the radio host said. “So, don’t start caring about primaries now.” “Yeah, I don’t disagree with that at all,” Rye replied. “Actually, like I said, I was really frustrated with President Obama. In December on “The Daily Show,” Charlamagne guest hosted and urged the president to step away from the 2024 race so he said the party can beat former President Donald Trump. “This is Biden’s ego talking, okay,” the radio host told the audience. “If you think there are other people who can beat him [Trump], step aside. I know you think you’ve got this in the bag … but the polls say otherwise.” “I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him to defend me at a bar fight,” he added. “I appreciate you caring, but I don’t like our chances.”
