New study explores the possibility of plasma-based life in space

Have you ever wondered if there is life beyond Earth? Most of us imagine alien beings as carbon-based organisms that need water and oxygen to survive. But what if there is another way of life that does not depend on these conditions? What if there is a form of pre-life that exists in the plasma state‚ the fourth state of matter? This is the intriguing question that a team of researchers from various disciplines and institutions have explored in a new study published in the journal Astrobiology. The study‚ titled “Extraterrestrial Life in Space. Plasmas in the Thermosphere: UAP‚ Pre-Life‚ Fourth State of Matter“‚ presents evidence and arguments for the existence of plasma-based entities in the thermosphere‚ the layer of Earth’s atmosphere that extends from about 90 to 600 km above the surface. The researchers analyzed video footage from 10 NASA space shuttle missions‚ showing self-illuminated plasmas up to a kilometer in size that exhibit life-like behaviors‚ such as feeding on electromagnetic radiation‚ changing shapes and sizes‚ moving at different speeds and directions‚ congregating‚ interacting‚ and leaving trails. Video of extraterrestrial plasmas contacting‚ intersecting one another and leaving a plasma trail in their wake. These are examples of “collisionality” and “energy cannibalism.” Filmed by STS-75. They also compared these plasmas with those observed and filmed by astronauts‚ military pilots‚ and civilians over the years‚ often classified as Unidentified Aerial or Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). The study suggests that these plasmas are not biological‚ but may represent a form of pre-life that could evolve into more complex forms by incorporating elements common in space‚ such as hydrogen‚ carbon‚ nitrogen‚ and oxygen. The researchers propose that plasmas are attracted to electromagnetic activity‚ and may account for many of the UAP sightings over the centuries. “Plasmas are electromagnetic entities that have cellular characteristics and display distinct behavioral patterns which are affected by their electrical properties‚ and this causes them to interact and behave individually or collectively‚” researchers conclude. Because plasmas in the thermosphere are attracted to electromagnetic activity and descend into thunderstorms and the lower atmosphere‚ they likely account for at least some of the numerous reports of UFOs and UAPs over the last several thousand years‚ including the “foo fighters” observed by German‚ Japanese‚ and Allied pilots during WWII‚ and at least some of the UAPs recently reported by jet pilots.” The study challenges the conventional assumptions about the nature and origin of life‚ and opens up new possibilities for exploring and understanding the universe. “The plasmas depicted in this report are electromagnetic phenomenon‚ and are estimated to be up to a kilometer (or more) in length or diameter. Plasmas in the thermosphere have been observed to change shape and grow larger or smaller. “Plasmas can also be less than a few centimeters in diameter. Unless created in a laboratory‚ or they gather in large herds in the lower atmosphere and interact or accelerate to hypervelocity‚ the smaller plasmas are far less likely to be observed or detected.” The post New study explores the possibility of plasma-based life in space appeared first on Anomalien.com.

Kitten melts hearts with adorable first meeting with golden retriever ‘100 times’ her size

Cats and dogs are often portrayed as mortal enemies‚ aren’t they? May it be in books‚ TV shows‚ movies‚ and many more. There is this notion that they naturally hate each other and that cats and dogs getting along is quite a task for their owners. This speaks volumes when either one is to be... Matt Walsh Mocks Biden’s Tone-Deaf Super Bowl Video Complaining of Inflation

The Daily Wire host Matt Walsh took apart President Joe Biden’s self-defeating Super Bowl video about “shrinkflation.”  On the Feb. 12 edition of The Matt Walsh Show‚ Walsh pointed out the absurdity of Biden’s Super Bowl video which highlighted snack food “shrinkflation‚” or the practice of shrinking the amount of food in a package to avoid raising prices. Walsh mocked the president for inviting the public to look under the rug and see “yet another marker of a poor economy‚” an example of inflation they may have overlooked. The president also shirked any responsibility for causing the problem. Walsh noted that “shrinkflation” is important as it relates to inflation but the video primarily demonstrates Biden’s utter lack of self-awareness. “So the real problem is that Biden is complaining about another marker of a poor economy while taking no responsibility for it himself‚" Walsh said. "He’s blaming the companies that produce the snacks for the inflation that his own policies are causing and he’s hoping we don’t notice.” On Feb. 11‚ Biden posted a video on X‚ decrying the practice of “shrinkflation” for snack food. In the video‚ he noted that "sports drinks bottles are smaller‚ a bag of chips has fewer chips‚ but they're still charging just as much." He added‚ "As an ice cream lover what makes me the most angry is that ice cream cartons have actually shrunk in size but not in price." Biden proceeded to pass the buck‚ imploring big business to solve his problem‚ "I am calling on companies to put a stop to this now‚" the president said. But Americans don’t have to count the number of chips in a bag to know they’ve suffered under Bidenomics.   Biden has an abysmal record on economics and even his media defenders complain about Americans’ low opinion of the president’s economic policy. The Biden administration oversaw an average of 5.9% inflation from February 2021 through October 2023‚ a drastically higher average than Americans experienced under former President Donald Trump. Despite friendly media coverage‚ Americans know that inflation is a serious problem under Biden.  Still‚ Biden gave Americans a timely Super Bowl-themed reminder that Bidenflation is real while simultaneously blaming companies and accepting none of the blame himself.  In the words of Biden in his own tone-deaf Super Bowl video‚ “Give me a break‚ the American public is tired of being played for suckers.” Conservatives are under attack! Contact ABC News at (818) 460-7477‚ CBS News at (212) 975-3247 and NBC News at (212) 664-6192 and demand they tell the truth about the Bidenomics disaster.

Bozell on DC Radio: Media Spin Can't Fix 'Absolutely Disastrous' Biden Press Event

On Monday‚ Brent Bozell appeared on the "O'Connor &; Company" show in Washington‚ DC on WMAL-FM‚ the hot station in the nation's capital for conservative talk. The subject was Biden's age issue and how the media tried to play it down after his angry press conference on Thursday night. Bozell said "they passed around the talking points for the day‚ because they were all saying the same thing." Both front-runners are elderly. Bozell said despite the media spin‚ "all of America saw Joe Biden‚ and it was an absolutely disastrous decision. My guess is it was Joe Biden's decision‚ to go in front of the press past his bedtime."  But they tried to spin it:    NBC’s morning host Savannah Guthrie insisted “Neither one of these candidates are young men‚ let’s be honest‚ okay‚ and both have had senior moments. Donald Trump recently confusing Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi on January 6th.”   CNN morning host Phil Mattingly noted “Donald Trump thought the leader of Hungary was actually the leader of Turkey.”  MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell argued Trump should concern voters just as much as Biden: “This feeds directly into a major problem that they are seeing in the polling‚ where 76 percent of those polled in our recent poll are concerned about his age and far fewer concerned about Donald Trump's age…[He confused] Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley.”  Bozell said Biden could have decided to grant the traditional Super Bowl interview to CBS‚ instead of this feisty press conference. If he appeared in command‚ the press would have reacted with "check that one off‚ let's get back to softball questions." But Team Biden is already signaling it's a basement campaign‚ and the press will be "laser-focused on Donald Trump‚ trying to prevent him from becoming president."

Hayes Decries Mayorkas Impeachment As 'Shocking' Abuse Of Power

According to NBC Late Night host Seth Meyers‚ MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is his most frequent guest and the two joined forces again on Tuesday to laugh at Republican misfortunes on the first vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that failed‚ while labeling the second one “terrible” and “one of the most… shocking abuses of procedure I’ve seen.” Meyers lamented‚ “And it seems like the only thing the House actually wants to do about the border is impeach Secretary Mayorkas‚ which they failed to do‚ but they're going to try again because they didn't miss by many votes the first time.”     Cracking himself up‚ Hayes recalled‚ “By the way‚ you've done this on the show‚ I think‚ but the way they missed the first time is amazing. Al Green‚ Democratic congressman from Texas‚ had surgery‚ literally rolled up to the Capitol in a wheelchair and hospital scrubs. To cast the deciding vote to defend Mayorkas.” By the time the show aired in the early hours of the morning‚ Mayorkas had been impeached‚ but when the show was taped‚ that was still in the future‚ as Hayes continued‚ “Now they're going to do it again‚ and the reason they're doing it again is because they might lose the one vote of their majority if the special election today goes the wrong way‚ and they are impeaching a cabinet secretary for the first time in 150 years.” Moving on‚ Meyers mourned‚ “So this is a terrible precedent‚ which is shockingly what may be only‚ I guess‚ three Republicans‚ the first time—their case for why not to do it is "This is a terrible precedent. We cannot even name a crime we're accusing him of committing.” Naturally‚ Hayes agreed‚ “It's manifestly one of the most‚ sort of‚ shocking abuses of procedure I've seen. There is not even the pretext of a scandal or a high crime‚ misdemeanor. There is a policy difference at the level of policy‚ anger at the way that things have been implemented‚ which is fine. That's politics. That happens everywhere. You can drag him for oversight hearings‚ you can try to defund the department you can do whatever you want to do.” Perhaps Democrats should’ve considered that when they started plotting to impeach Donald Trump before he even took office. Here is a transcript for the February 13 show: NBC Late Night with Seth Meyers 2/14/2024 1:07 AM ET SETH MEYERS: And it seems like the only thing the House actually wants to do about the border is impeach Secretary Mayorkas‚ which they failed to do‚ but they're going to try again because they didn't miss by many votes the first time.  CHRIS HAYES: By the way‚ you've done this on the show‚ I think‚ but the way they missed the first time is amazing.  MEYERS: Yeah. HAYES: Al Green‚ Democratic congressman from Texas‚ had surgery‚ literally rolled up to the Capitol in a wheelchair and hospital scrubs.  MEYERS: Yeah. HAYES: To cast the deciding vote to defend Mayorkas. Now they're going to do it again‚ and the reason they're doing it again is because they might lose the one vote of their majority if the special election today goes the wrong way‚ and they are impeaching a cabinet secretary for the first time in 150 years.  MEYERS: So this is a terrible precedent‚ which is shockingly what may be only‚ I guess‚ three Republicans‚ the first time - their case for why not to do it is "This is a terrible precedent. We cannot even name a crime we're accusing him of committing.” HAYES: It's manifestly one of the most‚ sort of‚ shocking abuses of procedure I've seen. There is not even the pretext of a scandal or a high crime‚ misdemeanor. There is a policy difference at the level of policy‚ anger at the way that things have been implemented‚ which is fine. That's politics. That happens everywhere. You can drag him for oversight hearings‚ you can try to defund the department you can do whatever you want to do. There is no high crime or misdemeanor here‚ and they know that‚ 160 years ago when the cabinet member‚ Belknap‚ was impeached‚ there was like -- it was like this enormous kickback scheme where he was‚ like‚ getting payments from people he was putting into positions‚ like‚ that's the kind of bar for this‚ and now we've got it‚ we don't like your politics‚ we just killed a border bill‚ and we need to keep the issue alive. Hence‚ we're going to impeach you.

Former impeachment champion Joe Biden calls GOP efforts to hold Mayorkas accountable 'unconstitutional'

Former impeachment champion Joe Biden calls GOP efforts to hold Mayorkas accountable 'unconstitutional'

House Republicans successfully impeached Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Tuesday night‚ leaving it to the U.S. Senate to decide his ultimate fate. While historically a champion of impeachment when a Republican is in the crosshairs‚ President Joe Biden lashed out at those seeking to hold Mayorkas responsible for overseeing the illegal entry of several million foreign nationals into the nation. Like the DHS‚ Biden called the vote to impeach his DHS secretary "unconstitutional." The vote and the articles of impeachment Without the help of Republican Reps. Ken Buck (Colo.)‚ Mike Gallagher (Wis.)‚ and Tom McClintock (Calif.)‚ the House GOP managed to pass a resolution to impeach Mayorkas in a 214-213 vote Tuesday evening. The first article of impeachment accuses the Biden Cabinet secretary of a willful and systematic refusal to comply with the law. Mayorkas allegedly violated "his oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies‚ foreign and domestic‚ to bear true faith and allegiance to the same‚ and to well and faithfully discharge the duties of his office‚" according to the article. The second article accuses the DHS secretary of knowingly making false statements and obstructing lawful oversight of the DHS. U.S. Customs and Border Protection figures indicate that in Mayorkas' first nine months as DHS secretary‚ 1‚516‚650 illegal aliens stole across the southern border and into the United States — nearly quadruple the number of migrants who entered throughout the entirety of the previous fiscal year. Roughly 6 million more have entered the country in the years since. The Democratic-controlled Senate will almost certainly refuse to charge Mayorkas‚ rendering the House vote largely symbolic. Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.)‚ chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security‚ stressed that his committee's "investigation and subsequent impeachment proceedings demonstrated beyond any doubt that Secretary Mayorkas has willfully and systematically refused to comply with the laws of the United States and breached the public trust." "With this vote‚ Congress has made clear that we will not tolerate such lawlessness‚" added Green. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said‚ "Secretary Mayorkas has willfully and consistently refused to comply with federal immigration laws‚ fueling the worst border catastrophe in American history." "Alejandro Mayorkas deserves to be impeached‚ and Congress has a constitutional obligation to do so‚" continued Johnson. Biden lashes out Biden was less than pleased over Republicans' successful vote to impeach Mayorkas. "History will not look kindly on House Republicans for their blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship that has targeted an honorable public servant in order to play petty political games‚" Biden is credited as saying in a lengthy statement. Although quick to invoke history in the abstract and to paint the impeachment initiative as petty‚ Biden previously championed impeachment when it meant the possible removal of a Republican from office. Biden and other Democrats sought to impeach Trump over a phone call he had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy concerning possible corruption on the part of the Biden family. — (@) Biden even incorporated such demands for Trump's impeachment into his presidential campaign. Time reported that while campaigning in 2019‚ then-candidate Biden told a small audience in Rochester‚ N.H.‚ "Donald Trump has violated his oath of office‚ betrayed this nation‚ and committed impeachable acts. You know‚ to preserve our Constitution‚ our democracy‚ our basic integrity‚ he should be impeached." In his Tuesday statement‚ Biden further claimed Mayorkas "has upheld the rule of law faithfully and has demonstrated a deep commitment to the values that make our nation great." "Instead of staging political stunts like this‚ Republicans with genuine concerns about the border should want Congress to deliver more border resources and stronger border security‚" continued Biden. "Sadly‚ the same Republicans pushing this baseless impeachment are rejecting bipartisan plans Secretary Mayorkas and others in my administration have worked hard on to strengthen border security at this very moment." Contrary to the president's suggestion‚ in recent weeks and months‚ Mayorkas and other elements of the Biden administration have fought not against illegal immigration but against Texas' efforts to secure the southern border. Just last month‚ the DHS threatened Texas after the Lone Star State seized control of a high-traffic area along the border in Eagle Pass. A Jan. 14 letter from DHS General Counsel Jonathan Meyer instructed Texas to "remove all barriers to access to the U.S.-Mexico border." Extra to casting Mayorkas as a man traduced‚ Biden accused Republicans of "playing politics with the border." DHS echoes Biden The DHS regurgitated the Democratic president's talking points in its response to the impeachment vote‚ noting‚ "House Republicans will be remembered by history for trampling on the Constitution for political gain rather than working to solve the serious challenges at the border." "Without a shred of evidence or legitimate Constitutional grounds‚ and despite bipartisan opposition‚ House Republicans have falsely smeared a dedicated public servant who has spent more than 20 years enforcing our laws and serving our country‚" said DHS spokesman Mia Ehrenberg. Ehrenberg further alleged that Mayrokas "will continue working every day to keep Americans safe." Congressional investigators behind the impeachment push suggested in recent reports that Mayorkas' "open-border policies" and the illegal immigration they have ostensibly guaranteed not only impose an annual net burden of hundreds of billions of dollars every year on the U.S. economy but also exacerbate the fentanyl crisis‚ adversely impact public safety‚ contribute to a rise in human trafficking and exploitation of minors‚ and jeopardize public health. How to escape the surveillance state: How to back up and protect your files

Editor's note: We're facing an unprecedented moment in American history. Our government and multinational tech monopolies are making it clear that we‚ the people‚ are the target of the monstrous surveillance state they've constructed. The deep state is attempting to jail people who share memes‚ Blaze Media journalists‚ and even the leading presidential candidate. It's time we take back control over our privacy and digital communications‚ and this guide will provide you with the tools to do that. This is an excerpt from a larger guide.Own your filesLike so much else in Big Tech‚ convenience comes at the price of security and privacy. When you store your documents on Google‚ Dropbox‚ or a note-taking app like Evernote‚ you can share large files and work with teams‚ and your files are reasonably secure and easy to access. But the reality is that your files and photos are stored on someone else’s server. This means the server owners have control and access. It is like having all your files in a cabinet in someone else’s living room. They can see it. And don’t think it won’t happen. Google doesn’t just store your files; it manages them‚ decides what is acceptable‚ and has locked out and blocked users from accessing their accounts.Currently‚ I use a paid Dropbox account for sharing and collaboration and find it very valuable. Dropbox Paper allows you to collaborate in real time just like Google Docs. It is also just one service‚ not a bundle that keeps your data in various places. I like it better than Google and find it easier to share with those who don’t have a Gmail account. But Dropbox is still someone else’s server. I am looking for better options for privacy‚ including some applications built with blockchain protocols for storing files. There are several private options that fill this need:Proton is starting its own drive‚ which is out in beta. I have used it a bit‚ and it works well.I have used Basecamp for many years for different projects and collaboration with teams. I like it‚ and so do my colleagues. It does not work as well as Dropbox for storing and sharing files‚ but Basecamp does have this feature‚ and it can work with teams.Storj is a newer decentralized storage option built on the Ethereum blockchain. No matter what you use‚ always pay for your storage.Personal serversAnother option is to set up a personal server. This is more private‚ but it is also more complex and requires you to pay attention to your own security. I have not done this yet‚ but here are a couple of resources:Urbit – Personal ServersEssay on how to set up a personal serverWired magazine on setting up a personal serverI think that personal servers and blockchain-based decentralized servers are the way we need to go. But at this point‚ it is more complex and requires attention to security and hacking. One of the benefits of Google‚ Dropbox‚ and other services is that they are world-class engineers and help secure your data from hackers. But the price is that they have access to and control of your data. You may not want to get a personal server‚ but at least get a service that respects your privacy. And because “the cloud” is someone else’s server‚ be careful with your most personal documents‚ encrypt them‚ and have offline backups. Any important documents‚ tax documents‚ passwords‚ or letters to family that you really want to be private‚ keep offline and don’t send digitally.Offline backupsFinally‚ it is important to have multiple offline backup drives and keep them in different places. You can have backups in the cloud‚ but unless it is your own server‚ someone else is guarding your data. Even Google backs up to tape.RAID systemsIf you have a lot to back up‚ a RAID system can be helpful and provide extra safety. RAID stands for redundant array of independent disks. This means that your data is on multiple disks and if one fails‚ you still have your data on the other disk drives. For most people‚ basic backup disks will be sufficient. But for those who want extra security‚ RAID may be a good option.Buy physical media for things you valueHaving digital music‚ books‚ and videos is super convenient. CDs and DVDs get scratched and lost‚ and having all your music instantly available on all your devices is great. Same with books. I don’t really like reading ebooks‚ so generally I buy paperback or hardcover. And the result is that I have thousands of books that clutter up every room in our house. Putting half of them on an e-reader would do a lot for my wife’s sanity. But convenience‚ again‚ has a potential price. Books in digital format can be edited‚ changed‚ or even removed. For example‚ when you buy a book on Kindle‚ which I sometimes do‚ the terms of use state that you don’t “own” the book. You are licensing the book. If you really value a book‚ movie‚ or music‚ then you may want to consider purchasing it in physical form. All things are trade-offs‚ but if you really want access to a book or movie and you want it in the form you bought it‚ buy physical media.

Medicaid can now cover rent‚ utilities‚ and food under Biden administration's new social health 'Playbook'

The Biden administration's Medicaid guidelines have expanded to allow states to use part of their budget to provide rental assistance or money for utilities to recipients. The new guidelines from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services advise that states can devote more than 3% of their Medicaid spending to experimental subsidies‚ so long as they add in their own funding and evaluate the outcomes. The new CMS guidelines under the Biden White House have stated that any service a state chooses to include must simply be based on evidence that proves it makes a difference‚ the Washington Post noted.Much of the guidance comes out of the Biden administration's U.S. Playbook to Address Social Determinants of Health‚ which lists housing security‚ food security‚ education access‚ and "healthy environment" as the top causes for inequal outcomes. So far‚ Arizona and Oregon are the inaugural states to start using the new guidelines and will reportedly target homeless people‚ those who are at risk of losing their housing‚ and the mentally ill.The Daily Mail reported that rental assistance programs will come in the form of one-time payments for security deposits or money to pay for rent and utilities for more than six months. Arizona will allegedly spend more than $550 million of its Medicaid funding on the experimental program. Arizona's program will also reportedly include housing vouchers‚ which can cover between 70% and 100% of an eligible person's rent‚ depending on income.Oregon will spend a reported $1 billion on its housing assistance program. Those with a behavioral health crisis‚ with a long-term health condition‚ or who are pregnant will reportedly qualify. As well‚ those who are at risk of becoming homeless may be eligible."Clearly‚ nobody is saying that Medicaid is here to solve all housing and nutritional needs in the country‚ nor are we here to take over other agencies‚" said Medicaid Director Daniel Tsai. "Does Medicaid have a role in social needs? The answer is yes. … It’s exciting. It’s groundbreaking. It is not an open check."The U.S. Playbook‚ released in November 2023‚ stated that it has a "commitment to advancing health equity‚ expanding health coverage‚ and improving health outcomes."The document claimed that health disparities have arisen over time due to "structural inequities" that often disproportionately impact "historically underserved individuals." The government's lengthy list of underserved people included blacks‚ Latinos‚ native Americans‚ "Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color‚" transgenders‚ and "queer (LGBTQ+) persons."This was in addition to people with disabilities‚ seniors‚ women‚ the homeless‚ and those who live in rural areas. However‚ the document also added the category of those who "live in communities with environmental justice concerns."The federal government also promoted the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness‚ which declared housing to be a right‚ not a privilege‚ and is "guided by its commitment to racial equity."Like Blaze News?
